It's kinda sad Agk doesn't tell you about specific months that events happen, they just tell you how much time has passed and that's it, while I may not always tell everyone the month I think dialogue through characters can help, that way you get the idea of what month it is and can predict what the next one is.
Without hesitation, Daikon sprinted forward with a heavy swing, Mera blocks with her right scythe and the 2 clash, her dominant attitude was slowly waning as she pushes back with more effort "I should have spent more time torturing you myself rather than my girls doing it".
Daikon didn't respond, only proceeding to push her back further, causing her to fly backwards, Mera snarls before flying back to him, getting a quick kick to his face and sending him crashing through 3 trees, he rolls on the ground but uses his hands to jump up.
As he sees the bug woman fly to him once more, he returns a powerful spinning kick to her neck, her head slams against the tree behind him, but while Daikon fell down Mera quickly grabbed his leg and threw him forward, hoping to injure him greatly.
However, with fast reflexes, Daikon spotted a tree branch and grabbed it to stop falling, and as Mera charged at him once more with her scythe he kicked her away with both feet and lands back on the ground, aiming his blade towards her.
Mera floats above, determined to get this over with "You're annoying me boy", he simply wore a smile "Then do something about it" speaking the same words she told him in their first battle, suddenly the woman rushed closer, already a few steps away from him.
Mera attacks with her scythe only for him to duck below to avoid it, she swiftly swings his sword from below, making the woman go on the defensive and block, he charges up a ki blast and aimed it at her chest, firing it and sending her back.
Mera crashes through a tree, but she grabbed the broken upper half, lifting it up to throw it at him, after she threw it he charged up another blast and blew it up, Akame covered her eyes to avoid the pieces of wood potentially hitting her.
"How did someone like him acquire this type of power, it makes me sick" Mera asked herself in her thoughts, as the dust cleared Daikon jumped forward with an overhead swing, she avoided it before countering with a kick to the side of his body, making him stumble to the right.
She swung her arm with a growl, Daikon blocks all the attacks with lightning fast reflexes, and when she tried to kick him with her right leg, he was able to catch it and slam his elbow on it, Mera lets out a scream and kicks him away with her other leg, making him crash against more trees.
"He's a lot better than I thought" Gozuki says while still on the ground, Akame watched the battle closely, at amazement of what she was witnessing...and to analyze how they fought, Mera holds her leg as she was in pain, afterwards she looked back with anger "Now you're pissing me off!".
Daikon jumps back into action, throwing his sword in an attempt to hit her head, but she dodged and it stabbed the tree behind her, he dashed to her with a thunderous blow to her stomach, and after she slides against the ground she stood up with a frown.
"This is unacceptable, I can't ever lose, especially not like this!" she shouts, she flew forward to kick his stomach, however he ducked and kicked her up then punches her back down, causing her to bounce back, Daikon watched as she got back up, watching her every movement.
"I bet you never lost a battle before, now you know the feeling of not being in control..." he says calmly as he aims his fists "I wasn't unhappy that I lost a fight...i was unhappy I lost to someone like you, a disgusting woman who controls other girls for satisfaction and power".
Mera shouts as she clenched her fists "I love the girls who serve under me, I'm taking them away from a corrupt empire who doesn't love!", she flies to him with a punch, only for Daikon to parry her attack and kick her jaw.
He jumps up to perform a double axe handle to her back, she crashed back down before the shockwave knock back nearby trees, Akame and Gozuki do their best to not get pushed back, Mera lets out a scream as she and Daikon charge at each other, holding each other's arms in a struggle.
His face remained determined "If you love them...then why does one want to leave?" he asked her, reminding Mera of Chelsea, the woman headbutts him and punches him repeatedly, she grabbed him by the throat and held him up "She has been influenced, because of you and your seven...she wants to leave my loving embrace!".
She kicked him forward and flies towards him, Daikon shoots multiple ki blasts at her but she was quick enough to evade all of them, and when she caught up to him she punches his gut with her left fist, afterwards she punches his face with her right.
Daikon rolls backwards on the ground from her attacks, as he was still on the ground he shoots a larger ki blast at her, only for her to quickly move out of the way and kick his face, he jumps back up and does a spinning kick to her shoulder, causing her to shout in pain.
As the 2 continue fighting, Gozuki realizes something "I-I know he can do this, I wouldn't believe so if I didn't see how much power he let out those years ago" he thought "His potential is through the roof, if he can keep improving at this rate...he might even be as strong as General Esdeath!".
With a roar Daikon powers up and punches her across the forest, the woman flies backwards before gaining back control, and as they charged at each other they aimed their fists, however they both punched each other at the same time.
Mera grabs his arm and punches his face again, making him bleed "Your death will please my girls who fought and died for my clan!", she then attempted to stab his eyes with her fingers, but as soon as she thrusted her arm Daikon catches it with a frown "You just call them girls...have you ever called them friends?".
He kicks her with his knee and spins to hit her once more with his elbow, after she is pushed back he quickly gets back into fighting stance "Unlike you I don't view them as people to control, I view them as comrades!", he charged at Mera with a punch, but then she grabbed his throat once again.
She throws him up in the air and kicked him upwards, she shoots web like silk from her fingers, attaching them to Daikon's leg "Let's see you spout nonsense when you crash dead!", Mera flies further up in the sky, Akame grabs the grass with a worried look "Daikon!".
As the 2 were in the air, Daikon notices what she was doing, taking them further up where the stars would be, his eyes widened as he saw what everything looked like from the sky, Mera then smiled "Afraid of heights huh, well don't worry...I'll send you back down soon...".
He looks at the webs holding his leg and gets an idea, but before that he took a look at her wings "I'll have to risk it" he thought, the bug woman was slowly reaching closer to the clouds, but with his strong will Daikon grabs one of her butterfly wings and starts pulling her down.
"W-what!" she shouted in pain, as both of them fall they start punching each other, Daikon grabbed her throat and punched her face before proceeding to kick her further down, however he managed to pull off her webs and hold onto them.
Mera opens her eyes to see the forest again, she was falling too fast to control her speed, she then crashes back to the ground, creating a small crater where she landed, Akame was knocked back a bit by the wind but managed to stay where she was.
Daikon threw the webs at a tree and it broke his fall, "Is she dead?" Akame asked, but just before Gozuki could reply Mera slowly stood back up, breathing heavily from the amount of damage she took "I guess not" he says, Mera morphs her right arm back into a scythe, now shaking intensely.
She stared at Daikon with a stare of death as he was still holding onto the web "I will not be humiliated by you, you...a boy!", the woman flies forward with an attack ready, Daikon quickly thinks of something to do, he uses the web to swing around the tree.
When Mera reaches him he roundhouse kicked her face, making her hit a nearby tree and fall down, he flips to land on the ground safely, "That was a close one" he thought as he grabbed his sword from a tree "I'll have to make sure she doesn't get me with those webs".
The Oarburgh flies back up, staring down before attacking him with her scythe, Daikon blocked all of her attacks as sweat dripped from his face, Mera grabbed his face and slammed him down, when his body bounces up she stomped him down, dropping his sword in the process.
"You've taken away a friend of mine...now I will take all of yours...just like that girl" she says in an angered yet sinister tone, his eyes lit up as he clenches his fists, Mera gave him an evil smirk with her eyes wide open "And after most of them are dead...I'll make you watch as I torture Akame's sister...".
Daikon lets out a roar of fury as he powered up, he kicked Mera's stomach as hard as he could, after getting up he punches her face repeatedly, with the final punch hitting her forehead, making her roll backwards on the ground, he powers up once more, clenching both his fists.
"Don't you dare touch her!" he yells, with a growl she attempted to shoot more silk at him but then he grabs it and pull her towards him, aiming a powerful kick to the gut, and as she was pushed back he quickly threw a bunch of ki blasts, afterwards he fired a larger blast, exploding on contact.
As he breaths from fatigue he watched as the debris cleared, Mera was on the ground, her fingers clenching the grass while she grits her teeth "Damn you...", Daikon grabs his sword once more, approaching her with a frown she would fear "It's over...".
Akame and Gozuki still watched quietly, with Akame happy to see him winning "That's right, kill that bitch" she muttered, remembering the remark about her sister, Mera slowly sat up, staring into his eyes with a mixture of fear and anger "Over...how?" she asked.
He looked down with a calm frown "Your already getting weaker from this fight, as much as you make me sick with your insults...i need to get this job done", she then gazed at the ground, shaking violently with hate, Daikon held his longsword with both arms, prepared to finish her off "You are eliminated...Merraid Oarburgh".
"No...i refuse to die by the hands of a boy...a killer of my girls...a pawn to the Empire!" she shouted with a crazed look, and just before he swings his blade Mera turns to the left to see the injured Akame, she shoots her silk to grab her and pull her closer, using her as a shield.
Daikon stopped just in time, shocked to see Akame in front of him, Mera then transformed her right arm into a scythe and swung at him, he blocks the attack and slides backwards, "How dare you..." he says angry once again, Mera had used dirty tactics to try getting the advantage.
The woman held Akame by the back of her neck, pointing her scythe at the red eyed girl, still wearing an intense face of rage and insanity "Make a move...and she's gone!", Akame was too injured to try fighting back, she only looked at Daikon with a scared and worried expression.
Daikon's body was shaking from the anger he felt towards Mera "There has to be a good way to get her free" he thought, Gozuki tried to think of something to do...then he spots Murasame in a close distance, just a few steps away from his arm.
Mera starts laughing maniacally, as if no one could tell if she was either being happy or angry "I have you right where I want you!", she then slowly approaches him, still holding Akame's neck "Daikon, you must die by my hand!", Daikon prepares himself as he saw the woman raise her arm to attack.

But as she raised it, Gozuki was behind her and cuts off the arm that held Akame, Mera screamed in agony as blood spilled from her arm "Now!" Gozuki shouts, Daikon quickly cuts off her other arm and kicked the bug lady away from them, Akame falls on the ground, slowly trying to get back up.
"Stay back guys!" Daikon shouted as he sheathed his blade, the 2 of them run to a safe distance as he then looked straight ahead, he screams as he powers up, spreading his arms while lighting starts surrounding him, the injured Mera on the ground slowly sits up, watching in shock.
2 blue ki blasts appear on his hands, he quickly brings his arms forward as he squishes the 2 balls of energy together, his shouting was loud enough to be heard a mile away, "What's he doing?!" a shocked Akame asked, the 2 ki blasts then become one as Daikon stares at Mera "This is it, the moment I try this out!" he thought.
While the area around them shook the bug woman tries getting up with no arms, now her rage was at it's peak "NO, I WILL NOT LOSE!", she stood on her 2 feet and tries her best to run towards him, but after a few seconds of charging the attack up Daikon shouts the name of his new technique "PRIMAL CANNON!".
He fires a large blue beam with intense lightning surrounding it, Mera stopped as she saw it approach her, and when the beam engulfs her she lets out a painful scream with insane eyes "NOOO!", her body then completely disintegrates, no trace of her left.
Daikon then aimed the beam upwards, not wanting to potentially kill innocents, Kurome and Natala see the powerful attack, the black eyed girl was shocked but smiled, knowing it must mean he had won "You did it" she whispered, Natala then smiled as well, now he knows both of his friends are alright.
When it disappears and as the debris clears, Daikon was breathing heavily, the whole fight and his new attack took a lot out of him, he falls down on his back and stared at the sky and clouds, the struggle against Merraid Oarburgh and her clan is finally over.
"You did it kid" Gozuki says in a proud voice, holding his blade with a grin, Akame walks closer and helps him up "Are you alright?" she asked, "I'm good, luckily I didn't take too much damage" he replied as he stood up, afterwards the 3 of them started walking back to the enemy base.
Akame was walking a bit slower than everyone due to her injuries, she held her left arm while trying her best to follow, "I've taken too much damage, this entire fight has taken it's toll on me" she thought, Daikon made sure to help her with her walking so she can keep up.
"I don't know how you do it, but those energy attacks saved our lives" the leader says, Daikon turns his head back to him "Maybe, but the training I do is what matters the most", at the end of the day, everyone's training and teamwork Is what gave them the victory over their greatest foe thus far.
3 minutes later
All of the enemy assassins were defeated, the Rakshasa demons stood over the many corpses, Suzuka turned her head to face the red head "All of the enemies are eliminated, you are free to go", Chelsea nods and held her strange case on the side of her waist.
"You'll regret this soon" she says in a calm tone, "Heh, we'll see" she replied with a confident smirk, the red head starts walking away, but then she looked back at the base "I hope your alright Taeko" she muttered, she heads off in another direction, expecting to meet all of them in the near future.
Natala wipes the sweat off his face "Phew, that was intense" he says in a fatigued state, Green and Cornelia were sitting down waiting for everyone else, Kurome was cleaning her blade carefully to pass the time, when she looks to the right she sees the 3 who came back from the fight against Mera.
With a smile she sheathes her sword and runs towards her sister "Sis!", she hugs Akame tightly and Akame hugged back, the 2 sisters were happy to see each other again "Are you alright?" Kurome asked, the red eyed girl nodded her head "I'm very injured...but i'll be fine".
Afterwards Kurome looked at Daikon, giving him a warm and welcoming smile, he gave her a thumbs up while smiling back with his eyes closed, "Alright everyone...the campaign is complete" Gozuki announced, the rest of the team gathered and were happy to hear the news.
He then buried his hands in his pockets "Thanks to all your efforts and hard work, we were able to defeat these enemies of the Empire and prevent any further deaths of our own, you all dead an excellent job", but then he would pat Daikon on the should "And it's thanks to this young man that the leader is defeated!".
Kurome, Natala, and everyone else clapped their hands and cheered for him, Daikon nervously scratched his head "Hehe...thanks guys, but I only killed the leader...i didn't do too much as everyone else", even after defeating the menace that was Mera, he wasn't sure if he did anything special.
As everyone else spoke with each other, Akame sat down and thought about everything Mera was yelling about, but she couldn't take her seriously, the woman preached about saving girls from the Empire but at the same time she acted as if she had the right to determine what they can do.
"Why would someone like her care about the people when she only cared about herself?" she asked herself, the red eyed girl lets out a sigh of relief as she was glad all of this was over, although she wondered what the Empire could have done to make enemies like this.
"Oh uh...hey Akame" Green called out, he approached her with some nervousness "Are you ok?", she nodded "I'm injured but fine, how about you Green?", he would nod as well, still feeling a little nervous around her "Yeah, me and the others were doing our best to rescue you guys".
Akame smiled at that, but something was still bothering her, "Are you sure your fine?" he asks again as he saw her staring into the distance, she quietly sighed "Yes, I'm just dealing with my injuries", it wasn't only her injuries that were bothering her though she wasn't sure about what just yet.
Daikon turned back to Gozuki, curious about what's next "So sir, what are we gonna do now?" he asked, the leader rubbed his chin, but after a couple seconds he rested his hand on the sheath of his teigu "We're gonna rest up for now, I'll see what we have to do once everyone is all healed up".
Now that this campaign was done, Daikon was optimistic for the future, he grinned with confidence, clenching his fists with excitement "Yes sir, I can't wait to face even stronger opponents!", Gozuki smiled "I'm sure you will soon".
The four Rakshasa demons watched everyone talk about their victory, "We'll see you all again soon the next time we are hired" Suzuka mutters, her and the other demons looked one more time before they disappear, waiting until they are in need once more.
Kurome walks to Daikon with her hands behind her back "When we get to our new base, can we get some cookies together?" she asked, he smiled and hugged her close "Of coarse Kurome, anything for you", everyone was happier after their triumph against the clan, now they prepare to head back home.
5 hours later, Mount Hakuba
There was a large rebel fortress in the middle of an icy tundra, the rebels soldeirs were out training while the higher ups were busy with paperwork, "Open the gates!" a soldier calls out, then the large entrance opens, revealing Najenda and Bulat, however they were accompanied by 2 others.
A blonde woman with short hair and golden eyes as well as a young man with green hair and green eyes, everyone stepped out of their way as the 4 entered inside the fortress, "Is that Night Raid?" one asked, another soldier responded "Yeah, they handle the assassinations".
The man then crossed his arms as he sat down "Why would they come here?", another man lets out a quiet sigh "Maybe our commander requested their help with something, wondering with what though", the 2 men looked down at their drinks, tired from their activities.
Night Raid looked around the base with unimpressed eyes, the green haired man sighed "Wonder what low difficulty asshole we'll kill this time" he says, the blonde bonks his head "Idiot, we wouldn't be here if it was gonna be easy" she says with annoyance "And besides, I need to beat someone up other than you".
Najenda and Bulat stayed serious, with the eye patched woman holding a strange rifle like weapon in her hands, the commander of the fortress looks up to see them with a welcoming face "Oh hey...you must be Night Raid, welcome".
The woman nodded "Yes, I believe you called us to perform an assassination, who is our target?", the commander leans forward on his desk, opening some folders to read documents "Well before I can tell you who it is...i'll need to give you some dire info".
He shows Najenda some important papers describing what had happened in the Empire's campaign "As you can see, the Empire was successful in destroying the Oarburgh clan, a clan we hired to take out the Elite Seven, this means the Seven was able to wipe them out", this surprised the white haired woman.
"The Oarburgh clan defeated?, this means the Seven is much more than just an assasasination unit" she says in a serious tone, the blonde punches her fists together with a smirk "Well this means we'll just have to kill the Seven".
Bulat shook his head with his eyes closed "It's not that simple Leone, I believe this commander wants us to kill a specific member for now before going after the rest", "Exactly, I will need you guys to assassinate one of them for me, from what I hear...he is a real problem" the man responded.
He then gave the leader another folder, the woman opened it to see who it was "So, this is our target?" she asked curiously, the commander responds as he pours himself some tea "Yes, I need you to kill the one they call Daikon", everyone takes their turn to see who they were talking about.
"Wow, pretty handsome" Leone commented with a smile, "Agreed" Bulat replied, leaving the Green haired boy to cringe, Najenda faced the man, placing her green arm on his desk "So what's the purpose behind killing this young man first before the others?" she asked waiting for answers.
After the man sips his drink he places it down and explains "From what these papers say, Daikon is responsible for the death of the clan's leader, he is not to be taken lightly", he would then stand up "If you are successful, the chances of the revolution winning will be increased".
Najenda pulls out a cigar and smokes, afterwards she crushes it with her metal arm "We'll make sure this threat is wiped out for good, no matter how long it takes", the commander smiled and sat back down "Excellent, there is no rush for this assignment, but the faster he is dead the better".
After Night Raid leaves the fortress of Mount Hakuba, Leone asks a question "Mam, who are you gonna send to assassinate him?" she asked, Najenda turned her head to face Bulat "Considering the skill this young man wields, I believe our 100 man slayer is fit for the job" she says with a smirk.
I'll do my best to get it done" Bulat replied with confidence, Najenda then crossed her arms as they walked through the tundra, she thought about how dangerous their new target was "Daikon of the Elite Seven, you will be eliminated", Night Raid continues on, now tasked with a dangerous job.
