Chapter 4:

Weiwei slept soundly through the night. Completely oblivious to her dorm mates quietly plotting Cau Guang's punishment or the battle campaign that Xiao Nai and to a lesser extent his dorm mates were in the process of executing. All that was going through her head as she dreamt that Xiao Nai was her Dashin and he had asked her to be his real life girlfriend. When she awoke the next morning she took care with appearance; dressing in some of her newer exercise clothing and making note as she looked at her wardrobe that she will need to reluctantly go shopping for new clothes. She wanted to look her best when Xiao Nai saw her and her current wardrobe was rather pathetic. She sighed and pulled out her planned attire for after her jog. It wasn't anything special, just a simple pair of denim shorts, a light colored blouse, and a long burgundy cardigan. Once she had that sorted she announced quite loudly that she was leaving for her morning jog. At first her roommates paid her no mind after staying up so late concocting various schemes to make Cao Guang pay for slandering their friend; they were too tired to even think about trying to keep up with Weiwei's jogging habits. Until one by one they remembered that Xiao Nai was supposed to meet her this morning and they rushed out of bed demanding Weiwei to wait on them to get ready. Causing Weiwei to smirk and make an exaggerated deal about waiting on them.

It had took less than five minutes for the other three girls to be fully dressed and rush Weiwei down the stairs so they could meet the elusive Xai Nai. Weiwei just could not keep the smirk as she followed her friends down the stairs and out the door. That smirk turned into a vibrant smile the moment she saw Xiao Nai waiting at the base of the stairs.

"Xiao Nai." She beamed as she passed her friends who had abruptly stopped the moment he had come into view to better greet him.

The sound of her voice caused him to turn towards her with a serene smile and closed the distance between himself and her until she was within an arm's length. "Weiwei." He greeted as he placed a hand on her chin and moved her bangs out of the way so he could take a look at where she was injured. Causing Weiwei's cheeks to bloom into the reddest of blushes. Being satisfied at the lessening of the bump and the color of the bruise he smiled and wished her a good morning. Pulling out of her momentarily shock of him touching her face so inamently.

"Xiao Nai," she cleared her throat as she took a step back. "These are my roommates, Zhao Erxi, Xiao Ling, and Tian Sisi. Everyone, this is Xiao Nai."

Xiao Nai gave them a smile and a small wave in greeting that the girls hesitantly returned. Sensing that the others would stay in their dumbfounded state if someone didn't break the atmosphere Xiao Nai grabbed Weiwei's hand and started to walk to the campus track that Weiwei liked to use. He was amused as he heard the the three sets of feet scurry after him loudly whispering things that he was sure that they didn't want to over hear and which also was causing Weiwei to blush embarrassingly at the things that she was over hearing because she knew that Xiao Nai could hear them as well. She glanced at him and saw the amused smirk on his face and wished that the ground would open up and suck her under. By the time they got to the track Weiwei's face was a vibrant shade of crimson and she was currently plotting various ways to murder her dormmates much to Xiao Nai's amusement. The moment that she got to the track she began to jog and tune everything and everybody out.

'She is way too adorable when she is flustered.' Xiao Nai gave a small laugh and began to jog behind her.

Cao Guang pulled up to the parking area that was nestled between the library and the track. He was planning on going to the library to get some studying done before his film appreciation class but just as soon as he parked he noticed Bei Weiwei jogging on the track. She didn't look injured and he was beginning to wonder if the school forum was exaggerating her injury or if it actually happened. He started to make his way to the track's lap recorder machine preparing to confront her the moment she slowed down. He was about to call out to her when three other girls dropped something in Bei Weiwei's hand, muttered something that he could not make out, and angrily called out to him causing him to stop in his tracks. Not sure what was going on he turned his attention to the girls who looked like they could kill him with just the glares that all three were giving him. To his annoyance he saw Bei Weiwei scan multiple cards and leave with some guy that he did not quite get a good look at but seemed familiar.

"Cao Guang!" The one with short hair poked him aggressively in the chest.

"What the-" Cao Guang stepped back in shock and rubbed his chest where the annoying girl poked him.

"No, you are going to listen to us." The tallest one glared. "Where the hell do you get off trying to slander Weiwei?"

"I have no clue…" Cau Guang started only to be cut off again.

"Don't give us that crap. We know it was you who posted those photos claiming that she has a sugar daddy." the tall girl said coldly with the other two agreeing. "Just because she is a pretty girl doesn't mean that you can slander her. Weiwei is nothing but a kind hearted person who never asks for the attention that she gets. She just gets it because of her looks. And we are getting tired of jerks like you thinking that you can either come up to her and demand dates from her or slander her. What gives you people the right to hassle her? Huh? How would you like it if we took half ass researched gossip and splashed it across the school forums?"

"Who the hell do you think you are?!" Cau Guang yelled back.

"Her friends." the smallest one with pigtails crossed her arms.

"Write a retraction stating that you were mistaken and the person who was dropping her off is the mother of the child she is tutoring. Make a good apology or I promise you that it won't be just us but the entire Computer and Science department making your life a living hell." The three girls started to walk off before pausing and stating that he better share the word with the rest of the Journalism department because the same goes for them too.

Cao Guang just stood there in shock at what happened. How dare they threaten him?

Xiao Nai walked Weiwei back to her dorms before informing her that he would meet up with her after he freshened up and silently added to have his friends to get whatever information on Cao Guang. Having such a lovely wife will never be dull, he thought with a smile.

He waited until Weiwei was out of view before pulling out his cell phone and called Hao Mei informing him that he also needed whatever information he could get on Cau Guang and wanted whatever information on both Cau Guang and Meng Yiran by the end of the day. He had already anonymously informed the campus dean about the so-called campus bell's behaviour in attacking a fellow student and from what he had overheard last night at his parent's house that there was talk about suspension or explosion. He knew that nothing was decided yet but he figured a series of previously buried information would help with the decision and not even her parents' donations to the school would be able to cover up the scandal that he planned for the spoiled little rich girl. No one harms Weiwei and gets away with it. Now onto dealing with the second person who seems to want to make his wife's life difficult, Cao Guang. From what he could gather with what limited information he had was that Cao Guang was most likely the person who posted the anonymous post that claimed that a campus beauty had a sugar daddy that he overheard a few days ago when in the library and recognized Weiwei's backpack in the photos. He had already figured out that the other man most likely had a crush on his pretty wife and didn't bother to do research when he saw Weiwei get out of the car one day. Such laziness he wouldn't normally bother with but he had slandered Weiwei and Weiwei was injured so he would be taking matters into his own hands tonight.
