Author's Notes: Blarg, instead of writing in this I have somehow started two other stories (three chapters in one and one and a quarter chapters in the other) which will not see the light of day until I finish writing them. The only reason why I am posting as I write is because I originally planned it as a one shot but it spiralled. Right now I am trying to figure out how I want to end it. I know ruffly where in the timeline I want to end it but it's the figuring out how much I want to wrap up do I want to add more from canon into the story to tie up later or do I want to focus on what I have and use that to wrap everything up in a nice little bow. What do you think?
As always I own nothing.
Chapter 7:
The News of Meng Yiran's expulsion from Qing University was spreading faster than Weiwei and Xiao Nai could leave the building. The news was most likely spread from the administration assistant who had the school's forum pulled up on her phone and standing near the door to the school's president. Xiao Nai made a mental note to thank his 'Auntie' later. Xiao Nai glanced at his watch and noticed that it was nearly noon he turnt to Weiwei and asked if she was hungry.
"I could eat." Weiwei signed the meeting in the president's office took more out of her than what she would like to admit.
"Would you be willing to have lunch with the others? They have been dying to make sure you are okay once they figured out that the department beauty that was rescued yesterday was their sister in-law."
"They go here too?" Weiwei exclaimed. Xiao Nai gave her an affirmative hum in response. "Go ahead and call them and tell them to meet us at the cafeteria." Weiwei smiled. She was a little excited to meet the others after meeting Xiao Nai, she was sure that she could take on anyone. With the exception of his parents. The moment that that particular thought hit her she realised that she still had classes with his father for the remainder of the semester. How was she going to be able to go to class and have any bit of calm during it? Her head was starting to hurt just with the idea but said nothing.
"Don't worry. They are probably just as nervous as you are." Xiao Nai placed a tender hand on the crown of her head in a comforting gesture.
Weiwei didn't know if he was meaning his friends or his parents but she chose to push her nerves to the side and meet whatever that happens head on. Xiao Nai chose to not remove his hand and actually pull her closer as he made his call. Weiwei was so close she could hear the guys on the other side shout their affirmative and had to laugh when she heard one of them exclaim that they had to change their clothes so they could make a good impression on their sister in-law which caused Weiwei to giggle loud enough for the person on the other line hear her. The next thing she heard was whoever had the phone on the other side curse at someone named Hao Mei? That couldn't be right, could it? "Hao Mei?" she asked Xiao Nai.
"His mother dreamt that she was going to have a daughter when she was pregnant with him."Xiao Nai said as he listened to Qiu Yonghou and Yu Banshan in the background yell at Hao Mei. He sighed and told Qiu Yonghou to meet them in fifteen minutes at what he figured was Weiwei's preferred cafeteria and hung up. "Those three are going to be a bad influence on you, I'm having reservations on letting you spend time with them." Which caused Weiwei to laugh harder than what she was earlier.
As Weiwei and Xiao Nai stood in line Weiwei spotted three guys bursting through the doors looking around like mad men. "Are those, them?" Weiwei pointed at the cafeteria entrance at the commotion.
Xiao Nai looked at where she was pointing and said that he changed his mind, he wasn't going to let them meet her he shook his head as his three roommates rushed to where they were.
Hao Mei was the first to grab Weiwei, checking her head to toe for any injuries before giving her a bear hug which was cut short by the other two smacking him upside the head with Xiao Nai glaring at Hao Mei before grabbing Weiwei away and wrapping his around her in a protective embrace. "I changed my mind. None of you are allowed to meet her now."
"But I drove to the hospital yesterday!" Yu Banshan retorted.
"Yes, but the moment you three walked you made a scene that we were able to see from here. Then rushing over to Weiwei like she was a kitten and then that one." he glared in Hao Mei's direction. "Grabbed Weiwei like she was your most favored teddy bear."
"I think he's jealous." Qiu Yonghou muttered to Yu Banshan.
"Very jealous." Yu Banshan agreed. "I fear for fourth brother. I don't think he is going to survive this infraction." Qiu Yonghou nodded his head.
"Survive!?" Hao Mei paled "Nai, Nai remember who datamined all that information this morning. Our four years of being roommates." he started to back away. "How good of a coder I am!"
"You are a good coder and it would take work to replace you at such short notice." Xiao Nai finally started to loosen his hold on Weiwei. "Weiwei, are you sure you still want to meet these three?"
Weiwei nodded and started to point at each one. "Houzi Jiu?" her finger landed on Qiu Yonghou with him nodding and giving her his real name. "Yugong Pashan?" she pointed to Yu Banshan.
"Yu Banshan, I am so happy that you look much healthier than yesterday, Bei Weiwei."
"Thank you for your help, yesterday." Weiwei beamed at the first brother before pointing at the final person. "Then that makes you Mo Zha Ta or from what I heard from the yelling on the other side of the phone your name is Hao Mei?"
The three men were not sure if they should be amused or embarrassed by their introduction with the spirited gamer girl.
Zhen Shaoxiang parted ways his aunt and uncle and went straight home because he wanted to get online. He needed to talk to someone that was not his girlfriend or her group. While he had many associates he really didn't have any true friends so he chose to talk with someone he could somewhat respect. Someone who he had dirt on would ensure that they would keep quiet with what he was about to divulge. He was going to contact their guild leader, Zhan Tianxia. Zhen Shaoxiang was in luck and theguild leader was online. He opened up the private messaging bubble and started typing. "Guild leader, are you busy? I need to talk privately."
"Zhenshui Wuxiang? I'm free right now. I was thinking about helping Xiaoyu Qingqing with getting some new gear but she's not online yet. What can I do for you?" Zhan Tianxia promptly replied back.
Zhen Shaoxiang went on to explain that his cousin attacked a woman yesterday and that woman happened to be LuWei Weiwei. He went on to explain that she was rescued by her in-game husband and found out today they are now dating. He also mentioned that due to yesterday's events that his cousin was getting expelled and Luwei decided to not file charges. Lastly he told Zhan Tianxia about how he didn't understand why Luwei Weiwei would hide the fact that she was very beautiful even though she did not dress to impress or wear even a tiny amount of makeup.
"Prettier than Xiaoyu Yaoyao?" Zhan Tianxia asked, intrigued.
"She could easily be hired to be a model or an actress with the looks she has. On top of it from what the school's president said, she's pretty smart too. I need to get her away from the husband though." Zhen Shaoxiang typed.
"Are you sure that would be smart? I mean you already have Xiaoyu Yaoyao." the guild leader replied back.
"You are one to talk. Don't think I don't know about you and Xiaoyu Qingqing have been getting up to. All it would take is a word to Diemeng Weixing. Imagine how that would play out. Plus, I have enough money; I can afford two wives if I choose to." Zhen Shaoxiang replied smugly. "I need you to help me to seperate them."
"How?" the guild leader asked.
"Make it in the guild laws no spouses outside the guild." Zhen Shaoxiang wrote. "She won't leave the guild for a guy."
