Author's Notes: This is going to be the last chapter. By the end of this chapter I really don't think that further exploration of this time line needs to be done.

I own nothing.

Chapter 9:

Cao Guang had not been having a good week. After being threatened by Bei Weiwei's roommates he discovered that the loud mouth one was in his film appreciation class and she was making it her goal in life to make sure that he was repeatedly kicked out of class due to making a large disruption and pinning it on him. Who knew the annoying girl could cry so easily? Then getting kicked out of the School's news department for posting a slanderous article with no facts to collaborate the story. Apparently the owner of the car found out about the post and threatened to sue to slander. The next annoyance was having his meal card mysteriously drained of any credit. With it draining every time he refilled it. But the true topper was when all of his posts on the campus forums were replaced with logs of his computer's browsing history including his browsing of various adult websites. Currently he was sitting outside the dean of his department dean's office for conduct that was unbecoming of a student. Who knew that Xiao Nai could be so petty?

Later in the day Xiao Nai smirked as he ended a call. Apparently Cao Guang had been put on academic warning one more toe out of line and he would be asked to leave the school. "What are you smirking at?" Weiwei raised an eyebrow. They had just sat down for lunch when his phone rang.

"Just taking care of some trash. Nothing big." Xiao Nai smiled as he placed his phone back into his pocket.

Weiwei eyed him for a few more moments before shaking her head and started her meal. She was beginning to categorize his different smiles and had dubbed the one he was giving the 'I just smashed an insignificant annoying gnat and I enjoyed doing it'. When he gave that look, Weiwei was relieved to be on his goodside. She would hate to ever be on the receiving end of Xiao Nai's wrath. He was downright scary behind that calm facade. His dorm brothers had been telling her bits and pieces of how malevolent her new boyfriend could be. Weiwei chose to change the topic and brought focus to the upcoming quest they planned to do that night. The Condor Heroes quest. To Weiwei's knowledge no one had completed the quest but the skill rewards were rumored to be massive.

After lunch Xiao Nai escorted Weiwei to her dorm before making his way back to his off campus home. He debated on going to either his dorm that he shared or his parents but he decided that he wanted no distractions during tonight's quests. He would be lying if he wasn't tempted to invite Weiwei over but knew that while on his side they have been in a relationship for months it's still new to her and Weiwei came from a very traditional family. The fact that she agreed to date before finishing college spoke volumes as it was. He was not going to push his luck by going too fast and make her uncomfortable no matter how much his heart protested against his brains.

It was only two years, one month, and eight days until she graduated, not that he was counting down the days or anything. Nor was he secretly plotting ways to get her to not return back to Wuhan until it was time for him to ask her parents for her hand in marriage. If anyone one especially Weiwei, knew the last scheme they would be a bit concerned that his thoughts were already there. But he had already made his decision the moment he carried her unconscious form to his car. At that time he may not have known her name but he knew her personality and the jolt of electricity that sparked the moment his hand touched her bare arm sealed the deal as far as he was concerned. He just needed to get her on the same wavelength that's all. Which was one of the reasons why he suggested doing this quest. Many have deemed it impossible but that was not going to stop him. He had his future wife to woo.

The chain of quests have been going quite easy for the two so far with them voice chatting as they went. It wasn't until the final chain of quests that they encountered trouble when Weiwei's avatar disappeared and was dumped in an area that was nothing but pitch black. Voice chat was also disabled much to the couple's annoyance. Xiao Nai tried private messaging her which worked so they continued on with that. The chain of quests were boring for Weiwei doing nothing but sitting in total blackness occasionally moving her avatar around so the game would not log her out but that was about it.

She spent her time mostly studying for the classes she had for the next day. After Xiao Nai surprised her in his father's history class the day before; she wanted to be sure that she knew what was going on in the class session before it was taught. She wanted to show the world that she was worthy of being with Xiao Nai. She knew she was pretty, smart, and a good gamer; she just needed to prove it to others.

Hours later the quest had finally finished. Weiwei was amazed when she saw her online husband's avatar fly in on a large white bird. When Naihe dismounted Weiwei ran up to him and the avatars embraced. As the avatars embraced the voice chat option was reinstated and a server wide announcement popped up stating that Naihe and Weiwei had conquered the Condor Heroes quest and as reward they received two phoenix flying mounts and the title of immortal lovers. Not that either would be using such a pretentious title. They had both settled on the simple titles of wife and husband to the other. Much to Xiao Nai's roommates' amusement.

The next couple weeks passed pretty quickly and soon enough the couple's tournament was set to start with Weiwei and Naihe's first opponents being Weiwei's ex and his current in-game wife. The battle ended before it started before they began with the other couple forfeiting the match much to Weiwei's amusement. Her friend Nini had let her know that Zhenshui Wuxiang and Xiaoyu Yaoyao had been arguing alot lately. Nini said that Weiwei's name had come up a few times but not the context of it. Weiwei and Nini's conversation was interrupted by a system wide server announcement stating that Zhenshui Wuxiang and Xiaoyu Yaoyao had divorced. Shortly after, each of the Xiaoyu clan quit the Jade Seas Rising Tide guild. Nini cut her conversation off so she could go find out what was happening. She told Weiwei she would report later what was going on.

Weiwei didn't find out what happened until after her match with Diemeng Weixing and Zhan Tianxia. When Diemeng pulled Weiwei aside to tell her about how she found out that Zhenshui Wuxiang had somehow found out Weiwei's real life identity and was planning on pursuing her. Yaoyao had found out and was very vocal about it to the point the two had a real messy breakup which caused the Xiaoyus to quit the guild. Which as far as Diemeng was concerned was good news. She knew all about Xiaoyu Qingqing's little flirtations with Zhan Tianxia and Diemeng had very strong words with her real life boyfriend about that.

Weiwei was shocked at the bomb that was dropped on her lap and quickly called Xiao Nai to tell him what she was told. She had no idea how her identity was found out so she asked the only other person to find out who she was.

Xiao Nai smiled and told her "Zhenshui Wuxiang is Zhen Shaoxiang."

Weiwei nearly dropped the phone when her boyfriend casually gave her that bit of news. "How did you find that out?"

"When we met him in the president's office he couldn't keep his eyes off you. Also I recognized the suit that he wore in the video from when I left your hospital room after you gave me your name. So later that night I traced Zhenshui Wuxiang's IP to Zhen Yi Technologies. It was rather easy. When you told me what happened when you quit your guild I may have had the others get the word that Zhenshui Wuxiang was planning on getting into a relationship where the Xiaoyu's were known to frequent and left the harpies to do all the work." Xiao Nai admitted.

"Dashen, your mind is truly a scary thing." Weiwei giggled.

"Weiwei, I am not a perfect man." He left the rest unsaid but Weiwei heard the rest. Xiao Nai might not be perfect. He can be jealous and overly protective but for her he would move mountains. He didn't need to say the words for Weiwei to know how he felt and she would be lying to herself if she denied that she didn't feel the same. Their relationship might have been short term but both already knew where their hearts lay. Both would continue the current course that they were on and then once Weiwei graduates next would come marriage and then hopefully a family. But for now both of them will enjoy the present while knowing that their future was already set.

-The End
