"It's starting to rain," Kate grumbled, tossing one arm behind her to shake Jack.
"Mhmm," Jack purred, pulling her close and nuzzling into her.
"The windows are open." He could tell by her tone that she was smiling. Since Aaron had headed out the door, they'd spent the entire day in bed, rediscovering each other's bodies.
"Afraid they'll hear us?" His lips brushed against her ear, sending goosebumps across her skin. "That's never stopped you before." He ran a hand across the curves of her side.
"We have to tell Aaron," she whispered but still tilted her neck to give him access, silencing a moan as she let Jack kiss and nip at her neck.
"He knows, Kate. And he wants his parents back together," Jack reminded her.
"We should plan out how to tell him."
"Baby, it'll work out," he promised her. "You're overthinking…"
"I just want it to be perfect." He'd heard that Aaron's entire life. She'd wanted to give him everything she never had. And thus far, she had.
"You just need to clear your mind," he purred, lowering himself to her. His long fingers caressed her legs as he tossed one leg over each shoulder, licking his lower lip as her legs parted for him.
"Jack," she panted, excitement building. "How can you keep going?"
"I'm insatiable when it comes to you." His eyes darkened with a desire she had yet to get used to.
He leaned down, kissing the top of her folds. With one swipe of the tongue his mouth was against hers, sucking intensely and without mercy. She moaned loudly, grabbing tufts of hair in a frenzied attempt to pull him closer. He grabbed her hips and slammed her against his mouth so rough it caused an orgasm so intense it left her trembling.
Without a chance to catch her breath, he kissed her, letting his tongue brush across hers so she could taste herself on him. She moaned and wrapped a hand around his head to hold his mouth against hers, unable to pull away.
"We really do need to get ready," she whispered when his hands started roaming again.
"I know, I know…"
They stepped into the shower together but their attempt to conserve water and time backfired. They ended up having sex three more times, both making up for lost time.
"We really have to go," Kate giggled when he tried to sit her on the sink for another round. After a moment, she pulled his hair just enough so he looked her in the eye. "I'm not going anywhere," Kate said softly.
"I don't want to let you go," he admitted. "It feels like something always creates distance."
Kate knew what he meant; she had run on the island, afraid to be vulnerable. Back home, he'd chased her. They just needed to stay in one place.
"Trust me," she whispered so soft it was barely audible. "Stay clean. And I'll stop running," she promised him.
With that assurance, he let his hand fall from her waist. She offered a kiss before slinking away towards the closet.
"Mommy!" Aaron yelled when he saw her pull up. He was so excited he hadn't even noticed Jack in the passenger seat.
"Ms Miller," Kate smiled as she put Aaron in his car seat.
"Ms Austen." The petite blonde smiled back. "Aaron had some important news to share with the group today." Her smile widened, "he gets to find out if you're getting back together tonight…"
Kate's eyes widened. She glanced to Aaron who was telling Jack about his day.
"His classmates are very excited," Ms Miller admitted. "It was all the class talked about."
Kate's face turned bright red. She had known this was important to Aaron but she'd underestimated exactly how important it was. She glanced towards Jack, who looked up from talking to Aaron to lock eyes with her and offer her a wink. Suddenly she didn't feel so embarrassed about it. She knew what she needed to do.
"Please?" Aaron begged, his tone hushed.
"At dinner," Jack chuckled. "Your mom would kill me."
"Dad!"
"I'll give you a hint," Jack glanced to make sure Kate couldn't hear. "I think after dinner maybe we'll all watch a movie. Together," he smiled.
Aaron's face lit up at the idea. He covered his mouth with his hands, stifling giggles.
"Don't let your mom know!" Jack warned; his smile was enough to send the little boy into another fit of laughter.
"What's so funny?" Kate glanced between the two as she slid into the drivers side.
"Guy stuff," Jack said quickly.
"Yeah, guy stuff." Aaron copied. "Let's go to dinner, Mommy."
"He's a little excited," Kate hinted. She'd tell Jack all about her conversation with the teacher.
"You have no idea," Jack smiled.
The End.
