Metro

Maggie Coleman, the sister of Henry Coleman, and former lover of Casey Hughes stepped out of the rent car she bought after stepping off the plan that arrived in Oakdale. Looking up at the bar that her brother and his wife Barbara owned, Maggie prepared herself to come inside as she looked around seeing that the place was nearly packed but busy. Maggie was so happy that her brother was able to keep the Metro afloat with Barbara's help and the good thing is, Henry didn't know about her sister's return to town. Of course, why would Maggie be here you ask? Simple, she was here to visit her brother and see how the town was holding up without her. Though at some point almost every single town moves on when you leave. New people come in, others leave the town, they come back for visits, etc. so for Maggie this wasn't new for her when she came back for the holidays last year. Maggie was glad that Barbara was there at Henry's side during this entire time when it came to the Metro, also when it comes to their relationship after Sienna tried to come between the two of them again. Out of the corner of her eye, there was Henry talking to Barbara by the bar about something so she walked up to them and cleared her throat.

Maggie - "Miss me?"

Henry - "Maggie? Sis, I can't believe you're here!"

Henry, happy to see her, hugs his sister as Barbara was surprised to see her too. She never called Henry or gave Barbara a heads up on her return to Oakdale, but there's nothing wrong with a loved one coming to town right?

Maggie - "Well believe it Henry. Your little sister is back in Oakdale, hello there Barbara"

Barbara - "Hello Maggie, when did you get here?"

Maggie - "Just now, I left earlier today to come here but it looks like you guys have a full house at the Metro"

Henry - "That happens every single time for us and I have to say that a guy like me couldn't have went at this alone except for Barbara over here. The two of us make a great team besides being husband and wife"

Barbara - "Now don't give me all the credit Henry but seriously, it takes two to tango when coming up with something like this to work on and improve every time"

Henry - "More like teamwork but anyway, what brings you back to Oakdale sis?"

Maggie - "What? I can't see my other brother or visit him"

Henry was about to answer that until some guy came in dressed in all black from slacks, suit, shirt, shoes and even the sunglasses.

Henry - "What the hell?"

Barbara- "What's wrong Henry?"

Henry - "Who is that guy?"

Maggie turned and immediately frowned at the sight of him before looking at Barbara and Henry, trying her best to ignore the guy. Who was he and why does Maggie not want to see him? Does she know that guy? How does he know Maggie? Out of all the places Maggie has been to over the years after leaving Oakdale and traveling on her own, this guy shows up all of the sudden? The last thing Maggie wanted was the guy to cause a ruckus in the Metro Bar that it would eventually result in him getting kicked out. Maggie just wishes he wasn't here to cause trouble which she knows that's what she is about to do. Henry and Barbara didn't need to know all the details about the guy and it wasn't any of their business for them to know what Maggie does in her life away from Salem. Henry despite his height was someone who would stand up against anyone who crosses him and his family, his wife Barbara. Hell, the man would take a bullet for Maggie and Barbara so they can live, but Maggie could never imagine losing her brother over this. There were times when Maggie wished Henry would just leave certain things alone before dropping it completely. This is Maggie's mess to clean up and she'll do that without anyone to help, that includes Henry and Barbara.

Honolulu, Hawaii

After Kirk was able to use the boat and take it to the waterfront district, he called the police who arrived to arrest each of the men who held them hostage on the boat, including the so called captain of the boat that's aligned with them. John, Lucinda, Kirk and Samantha all watched them taken off of the boat, before going into either a hospital since some of them were injured due to Samantha defending herself by shooting them with the rifle. The others were going to jail which the four of them know but at least it was over, or was it? They didn't get the chance to ask them who they were working for, but all of them knew at some point they would get their answers. Out of all four, Kirk and Samantha were just happy, relieved, but so thankful to be alive, even though Samantha wanted to pop his head for leaving her like that. Kirk had his reasons for going at it alone since the trouble came at him first, but he hoped Samantha would understand. Lucinda and John didn't expect this rollercoaster ride for their vacation but in the end, nothing in life was that simple. Their experiences of life and death situations taught them better as all the law enforcement left which only had the four here.

John - "Thank god that mess is over and done with. Hopefully we can get on with our vacation Lucinda"

Lucinda - "We will John, I promise but before that, there's something we need to do. Samantha, Kirk, are the two of you alright?"

Kirk - "Oh you know me guys, a part of me is still shook but hey, were still alive right? I'm still alive, you're still alive-"

Samantha - "You idiot!"

Samantha slaps him upside the head causing Kirk to flinch and immediately rub his head. There was no way that man was going to beat around the bush and think he would get away with this.

Kirk - "Ouch! What was that for!?"

Samantha - "What do you mean what was that for?! You think I am stupid!? You left me hanging Kirk!"

Kirk - "Okay okay, you're right, I did leave you hanging and that's on me Samantha"

John - "Oh gee you think Kirk?"

Lucinda - "John...just be quiet"

Samantha - "The first day you were gone I did everything and tried to call you and now here I am saving your ass! You put my sister and John in jeopardy!"

Kirk - "They were the only two people who I thought were going to help me Samantha! You have to know that. I didn't know those animals were going to chase me despite some of them coming after my ass when I was on the run"

Samantha - "And why were you on the run Kirk?"

Kirk - "Because of this..."

Kirk pulled out the small black box and was about to open it before he looked into the box, seeing that it was empty. Kirk was shocked when he saw that the pearl he had in the small box wasn't in there anymore and that was confusing. On the run and away from those men, everyplace he was at, before he would eventually leave after the men came here, Kirk would make sure that the pearl he bought for Samantha was still there for him. The average person sometimes would forget certain things when they were in a rush. So for Kirk, he was doing all he could to stay alive and make sure he doesn't mess thing up. He would even forget the pearl so that at the last minute, Kirk had to make sure to look into everything and get the pearl before making it out of there alive. Now it was gone as Samantha looked at the box which had nothing it. John and Lucinda noticed that too, remembering Kirk's explanation when he came to their hotel room unannounced that is. The pearl was gone and Kirk didn't know where it went. Was it back on the boat or somewhere else in the water.

The Himalayas

Jake, Molly, Ryan, Vicky and Simon were all still on the floor of the cabin while they could still hear the sounds of gunshots outside. This was coming from those that Jake, Molly and Simon encountered back in Canada, it had to be them, but they must of gotten other recruitments so that they would have more strength in numbers. But Simon and the rest of the people couldn't stay here any longer, they had to get out and make sure they were not in harms way. For someone like Ryan and Jake, the two men missed the good old days when they could just go into a situation, then not think about anything but making sure the women they loved were safe, that's it. For Vicky and Molly, they hated to be in this situation especially for Molly who got shot on the way out of the farmhouse back in Canada. But this was nothing new to her or Vicky who just experienced nearly dying then going into the Witness Protection Program, living every single day by herself until Ryan was brought in. Now all of them could end up dead again, but as Simon looked up he noticed the car he parked at in the undisclosed location wasn't banged up or destroyed. Then he looks around the cabin before noticing the backdoor to it"

Simon - "Deja vu all over again"

Jake - "Uh Simon, what are we going to do here!? Are we staying here like sitting ducks or make a move!? I didn't come back to get killed again!"

Simon - "You guys see that back door over there, it's our way out of here. From what I could see, no one's at the back of the cabin"

Molly, Vicky, Jake and Ryan see the backdoor before Molly figured it out. So Simon wants to do the same thing she went through in Canada with Jake? Now that was crazy but there's no time for them to think, they had to move.

Molly - "Oh, so were going to do the same thing like we did before right? And I get shot at the end right?"

Jake - "Well if you were only quicker than you wouldn't have been shot"

Molly - "Excuse me?"

Simon - "Can we please focus guys? We leave out of the back door and then make a run for it to the car"

Ryan - "What if they come after us?"

Simon - "Then we'll call the police, but I am sure our other friends don't want to be caught red handed so they'll likely back off"

Vicky - "Lets just do it and get it over with but remember, were all in this together. Our families need us to live"

Ryan - "I'm ready Vicky, we need to make sure were prepared for anything that happens on the other side"

Simon nodded and looked over at Jake and Molly, both who agreed to the plan as Simon looks up see the bullets continuing to coming. Shaking his head, Simon knew once they got out of the back door those mad men were not going to stop but they had to take a chance. Crawling over to the back door, Simon opens it and signals for everyone to get out. Ryan, Vicky, Molly and Jake followed Simon carefully before all of them were out of the cabin as Simon closed the door behind them. Making a run for it and trying to avoid any of them getting shot, all of them followed Simon throughout the trees and bushes before reaching the car. Putting his hand up and signaling them to stop, the man made sure there were no booby traps or anything that those guys could put underneath car. To his relief, nothing strange or funny was underneath the car, so Simon made sure to open the doors for Ryan, Vicky, Jake and Molly to get in. Once they got in, Simon turned on the ignition, backed out and headed straight for the hotel. Simon would take car of everything else but he had to make sure they were all safe before going into all the other stuff. At least no one got killed and when they head back to Oakdale the five will be reunited with loved ones.

Metro

Taking the beer from the bartender, Maggie opened the top and took a sip while trying her best to ignore the guy who came into bar. Barbara and Henry though, they weren't going to just ignore the guy and move forward, they were going to watch his every move and see what will happen. Maggie thought she was gone from that guy for good from the last time they met. Maggie had to do some favors from him or else so she did get the job done but now here he is back in Maggie's life. She hated this and now Henry was going to do the honors of hounding Maggie for not telling her brother about the guy and what happened between them in the past. Barbara wasn't liking the person very much and that's saying something when you're not on Barbara's side. She had no right to judge anyone in this town but she did have the right to worry. This was her business that she owns with her husband and the safety their consumers, their customers do come first. There was no chance in hell that this guy should come in here but as long as the security guard checked him, he's good to go. As for the man who came in here, the guy walks up to the bartender before he noticed Maggie with her back behind him and smiled.

Voice - "Maggie?"

Maggie cringed before he turned around and faced him with a fake smile on his face. Anyone could be a fly in the room to see how this conversation can turn out, good or bad.

Maggie - "Oh, Vinnie, we meet again don't we?"

Vinnie - "Yes we do Maggie, it's been a long time hasn't it?"

Henry - "And who the hell are you?"

Vinnie - "Vinnie Michaels, and you must be Maggie's brother Henry. She's told me all about you"

Henry - "Oh really? Is that true Maggie?"

Maggie - "Uh yeah...you see Vinnie and I are friends. We've met before, a long time ago after leaving Oakdale"

Henry - "Ah, you've never told me anything about him. Anyway what bring you by here to Oakdale?"

Vinnie - "Just here to reconnect and take care of some things, that's all. And this must be the lovely Barbara Ryan, correct?"

Barbara - "Barbara Ryan Coleman"

Vinnie - "Oh, sorry I messed up the last name. The name is Vinnie Michaels"

Barbara - "Nice to meet you"

Vinnie and Barbara shake hands before Vinnie kisses the knuckles of Barbara's hands. Henry narrowed his eyes, not liking what Vinnie did but kept his composure. Maggie rolled her eyes and shook her head, knowing what Vinnie is doing as of now and it wasn't right.

Vinnie - "Likewise, but anyway, I am looking forward to...getting to know the town more often. I'm not here long-term"

Henry - "Nothing wrong with that, we don't want you to get into some kind of bad accident or something horrible happens to you"

Vinnie - "Come again?"

Henry - "You know, just take care of yourself and be well. It would be a shame if something bad happened to you"

Vinnie - "Yeah, sure...you know something I think I will just head out and leave. There's other places in this town I need to look at since my time in this town has just begun. See you later Maggie"

Maggie - *Fake Smile* "Bye Vinnie"

Vinnie smiles, nodding before leaving Metro, as Maggie, Barbara and Henry watch him leave. Henry and Barbara still had this uneasy feeling about Vinnie.

Henry - "Maggie, do you know this guy?"

Maggie - "He's just someone who I met before Henry, were just friends"

Henry - "Really? Looks like more than friends if you ask me"

Maggie - "It's not like nothing sexual happened between me and him, were not in a relationship"

Henry - "Good, there's something about the guy I just don't like. He just looks and sounds like one of those snakes in the grass"

Barbara - "I'm thinking a ban on him should be in affect so he won't come here anymore"

Henry - "Now now Barbara, let's not rush to judgment. To be fair, he hasn't done anything wrong or started a fight but we'll be keeping our eyes on him when he comes here again"

Maggie - "Excuse me, I need to go to the bathroom. I'll be right back"

Barbara and Henry watched Maggie go to the bathroom after Vinnie left. He wanted to go after her but remembered she went to the women's restroom, and even Barbara would tell him to give Maggie some space. Henry just didn't like that guy who came here as he could have done a lot of damage despite sweet talking and acting innocent. Something told him that he would see Vinnie again and if he does come here to Metro then he's going to keep an eye on him. Back in the bathroom, Maggie went to the sink and immediately leaned against the link before she took a deep breath. Why the hell did Vinnie had to stick his nose where it didn't belong? Maggie didn't want him here in Oakdale and neither would she want him to stay. She actually appreciated if Vinnie left but she knows what he wants, which isn't Maggie, then the guy will leave town and be on his way. But Maggie knows Vinnie will not back down easily just like that. It's way too easy so Maggie would have to buy herself sometime and try to make sure she has what he needs the most. Straightening herself out, Maggie went back to the bar to join Henry and Barbara who still haven't forgotten about Vinnie before all three continue to enjoy the night.

Honolulu, Hawaii

Kirk was still trying to process that the pearl wasn't in the black box while Samantha was still trying to figure out what was in it. John on the other hand did not give a damn about some pearl that Kirk had. Kirk is the reason why those men came after him because he had what they wanted. Hell, the two of them were almost done for because of him. He even ruined their trip, well almost ruin their trip but the good thing is they were still alive. Unfortunately for John that wasn't enough and to find out that some kind of object or whatever Kirk had almost cost them their lives made him even more madder at Kirk. Lucinda, who couldn't believe still her sister Samantha was alive. When she hugged Samantha on the boat, there were tears in Lucinda's eyes as they reunited and despite wiping those tears away she was getting misty eyed herself. If Samantha had just kept in contact with Lucinda then maybe the socialite of Oakdale would have been able to help her out. But like any other person who loves their sister or brother, cousin, etc. in the family, sometimes you have to step and protect the family which is what Samantha did. Snatching away the small box from Kirk she holds it up for him, Lucinda and John to see.

Samantha - "What was in this box Kirk?"

Kirk - "Just a pearl that I bought for you Samantha. Actually that was going to be your anniversary gift but it's all gone now"

Samantha - "You mean...you were going to get that for me. The gift is the reason those guys were after you?"

Kirk - "Yes Samantha, I didn't have enough time to tell you so that's where the note comes in. Do you remember the note I left?"

Samantha - "Of course I do, I even tried to contact you Kirk but you weren't picking up. That's when I came to Oakdale and got Craig's help to look for you"

Lucinda - "Craig stepped in and helped you Samantha? That's surprising since the two of you weren't on good terms after you broke up"

Samantha - "Craig and I wouldn't last a century since he wouldn't keep himself out of trouble. The man has a tendency to destroy everything in his path"

John - "She's not wrong about that at all"

Samantha - "Anyway, where is the peal? And why were those guys after the peal then Kirk"

Kirk - "Samantha I don't know where the peal is and as far as those guys go, they know the answers. They probably won't talk without having a lawyer"

John - "They should be going straight to jail if you ask me but anyway I think Lucinda and I have a vacation we need to continue so we'll be on our way"

Lucinda - "John wait, I haven't seen my sister in so long. Samantha, where were you all this time? Why couldn't you at least come to see me? We thought you died"

Samantha sighed before she turned to her sister, being the one to answer to her and Lucinda deserves a lot of answers. Samantha knew she felt like a loser of a sister to Lucinda who had a lot of things happened to her that needed the blonde to be at Lucinda's side.

Samantha - "Lucinda you have to believe me when I say that visiting you, seeing you more, it would of put you in danger. David Stenbeck, James's brother, was after us year after year we were on the run from him. When he died, we thought it was done and over with, but then from what just happened were confused"

Kirk - "Samantha's right Lucinda, it was impossible for us to stay in touch with you guys. We were the only thing we had, each other"

Samantha - "I'm sorry Lucinda for not being a better sister to you. You deserve better than to have someone like me, a freaking failure of a sister"

Lucinda - '"You're not a failure of a sister Samantha"

Samantha - "Really...you mean that?"

Lucinda - "Yes I do, there's certain things that are out of your control that you couldn't tell me. Despite having cancer and going through the ringer on so many issues, no one is perfect or flawless"

Samantha - "Lucinda, you had cancer at one point. You still needed me when you were sick"

Lucinda - "I know that Samantha, but we can make things right. Let's wipe the slate clean and start over"

Samantha - "Are you serious?"

Lucinda - "Yes Samantha, if it's possible then we can do it and make it work. Better yet you can stay at the same hotel as we do but in a different room"

John - *Mutters* "Oh thank god"

Lucinda hugged her sister as the two of them cried, and for Samantha she was glad that her sister forgave her after those years of absence. Not only that but she would at least buy Samantha and Kirk a room so that the two of them can stay in the same hotel with them for the time being until they leave Hawaii. John was at least thrilled and it was nothing against his wife or Samantha. He didn't want to deal with Kirk and his annoying self but since their vacation was still in tact, John wasn't going to complain all that much. At the end of the day all of them were safe and will head back to Oakdale later on. Lucinda though reminded herself that she may need to hire some security for Kirk and Samantha from this point forward. She already allowed Samantha to slip away from her life, the two of them were sisters, there's no excuse for either one of them to not contacted each other. As much as she understood Samantha's explanation Lucinda felt she could of at least reached out to help. But after the promise they made to one another, it was time for them to rebuild their relationship as sisters. After their limo arrived when John called for it, the four of them got in and left the waterfront district, heading back to the hotel.

The Himalayas

Outside of Simon's hotel room he was speaking to local authorities on what happened between him, Jake, Molly, Ryan, Vicky and those who were after them. Just like when the man helped get the four of them into safety when they escaped from the house, he would do what was right and letting the authorities know what happened was the right thing to do. Of course, from here on out, before they leave the Himalayas the authorities offered them protection in having an officer outside of the hotel rooms they were staying in. Some of them like Ryan and Jake including the ladies objected but Simon convinced all of them that all of the possible dangers they were in. They weren't planning on staying here that long but at least for the time being when they leave, they have to make sure all of them come out in one piece. So in the end they agreed, but for two couples like Jake and Molly and Ryan and Vicky, all four of them couldn't wait to be a part of their families lives again. This time nothing was going to get in their way and have some peace at least for the time being. When Simon was finished with the authorities they left as he closed the door behind him then goes into the living room seeing all four of them sitting around in the lounge area before they notice Simon.

Jake - "Well?"

Simon - "They'll have someone over here in an hour. We won't be staying long since I booked us a flight to head back to Oakdale"

Molly - "Good, the better we get out of here the better we can be with the people we love. Well first we do need to talk to Margo about what's going on"

Ryan - "You mean Margo Hughes? I remember hearing she's a detective of the Oakdale Police Department"

Simon - "She's the lieutenant of Oakdale Police Department since Hal Munson died Ryan. Margo calls the shots now"

Ryan - *Grins* "No surprise, from all I have heard about her she has the guts and brass to pull it off. Vicky and I will need to head back to Bay City after our conversation with Margo"

Vicky - "That's right, Ryan. Our daughters Jake...they'll be relieved to see us alive after all the time we've missed out on"

Jake - "Yes they will, being separated from them took a toll on me when I was staying at the ranch. Everyday a part of wanted to go to Bay City to check on them but it was too risky"

Molly - "You did what you had to do Jake, the same goes for you two. The girls, Kirkland, all of them would be in danger"

Ryan - "And the danger may have only begun. We don't know the length's my father's enemies will go to get our attention"

Simon - "Do you know how many people you old man pissed off?"

Ryan - "It's too hard to keep count of but he never wanted any of this to happen to me or too his other adult children"

Jake - "Well, no offense Ryan but if Carl was here right now I would love to ring his neck for putting us in this predicament, putting ME in this situation to be exact"

Ryan - "My father would not want this to happen to me, Vicky, you, our family, friends, no one deserves this"

Vicky - "He's right Jake, despite the exterior Carl had he loves his sons, his children and would do anything to protect them, even in death"

Molly - "I'm so sorry to hear about your father's death Ryan"

Ryan - "Thank you Molly, my father despite his mistakes, his flaws, he was a good man inside and loved us all"

Jake - "Molly, when we get back to Oakdale, I want us to question Mary"

Molly - "You mean the two of us?"

Jake - "Yes, she may know more and why she ended my life, almost ending yours"

Molly - "Do you think there's a connection between Mary and one of Carl's enemies?"

Jake - "There's only one way we'll find out"

Simon - "Let's get out of here and go back to Oakdale then since more awaits for the four of us"

All four of them stood up and made sure they had everything with them before leaving the hotel room. The officer that was assigned to their room followed Simon and the crew before notifying his superiors over radio of what's going on. In the end, for Ryan, Jake, and Vicky, all three of them thought about what life would be like alive but also being there more for the children. Vicky knew her son was all grown up from the last time she had information on what Kirkland was up too these days. The young man was actually a lawyer in Bay City, an attorney like Cass was and that made Vicky proud. At least her son wasn't like Grant or worse Vicky, despite the two of them always wanted the best for him. Bridget and Melanie were models working for Felicia's fashion company which was much better than them being cops, though Ryan would be excited to help them out. For Jake, it didn't matter what occupation the children were, as long as they're happy then that was fine. Leaving the hotel and going back to the airport, the five of them boarded the plane before it took off. When it took off, Simon out of the others thought about one person in Katie, wondering how she was doing in Oakdale with no drama of her own. If only he knew of the pregnancy...
