Dear Readers
I have been re-reading all of my stories, and this was the last and on checking when I last updated this particular story, I realised it's been just over a year since I wrote anything. Thus I feel it prudent to put you in the picture so-to-speak.
This last year has been a difficult one for myself and my family. In 2016 I lost my father, which put a halt on any story writing then. Over the intervening years I've been caring for my mother. Then COVID-19 happened, causing disruption for many of us. During the restructuring phase of my employment at our local college, I took Voluntary redundancy from my job in June which was a blessing in some respects. Mother's health took a turn for the worst and she passed away in her sleep in October.
It's been a time of adjustment in personal matters and employment, trying to find my balance in life and where I want to go from here. I know this isn't necessary but silence can be deafening at times. At this moment, I feel my writing will start again, and I hope to get a new story chapter up very soon.
