Sherlock didn't see what had John and Molly bothered. The items on Rosie's Christmas wishlist seemed perfectly normal to him.

Easy enough.

No idea, but that was John's responsibility, surely?

Uncle Sherlock and Aunt Molly get married so I can have a baby cousin to play with

"Oh.

"Oh, indeed," John echoed.

Sherlock cleared his throat. "Well. That's-" He paused to search for the right words.

Molly quickly jumped in. "Obviously not going to happen."

"Not before Christmas, no." Sherlock agreed; although judging from Molly and John's faces, he must have said something unexpected. "I'm sure Rosie will understand a delay for the necessary paperwork and arrangements. Mummy will insist on a ceremony, which will have to be sorted out. Then, of course, there is the conception and incubation period to consider."

Molly blushed sweetly; the way he had always loved, even before they began dating. "Sherlock?"

"John should probably explain that part," he continued.

"Sherlock." Molly raised her voice to make sure she had his undivided attention. "Did you just propose?"

Sherlock blinked several times, then hesitantly nodded. "Yes?"

John shook his head. "What is happening right now?"

"Okay." Molly smiled. "I accept."
