Athena reached down and picked up the insensible Neil in a cradle carry. Her and Lilith turned away and started walking away. All around them, the sounds of combat were subsiding as the last of Demona's troops were overwhelmed by the human, demonic, and undead forces.

Athena paused suddenly and looked back at the unconscious Diana.

"What about her?" Athena asked Lilith. Lilith halted and looked at Athena, then at Diana.

"Spare her for now. I will find a use for her." Lilith replied with a sly grin.

Before Athena could reply, Helen called out to her:

"Athena!"

Lilith and Athena turned to look and saw that Helen and the other personalities were running up to them. They reached their location and surrounded them, staring at Neil.

"Is he-?!" Taryn began.

"No. He will live." Lilith responded.

The others breathed a deep sigh of relief.

Artemis looked around and inquired:

"Where is-?!"

Then she noticed Diana laying on the asphalt.

"Diana!" Artemis shouted. She sprinted to Diana and kneeling down, lifted her up and turned her to face her. Diana's sea green eyes opened. They focused on Artemis.

"Artemis?" Diana asked inquisitively.

"It's me. Are you okay?" Artemis answered reassuringly.

Diana and Artemis stood up. Neil's other personalities were walking quickly to meet them.

"Demona. Where is she?" Diana asked, looking around..

"Slain Mom. All nice and slain." Athena answered.

Diana took note of Neil in her daughter's powerfully muscled arms. She placed her hand on his forehead.

"Welcome home." Diana whispered. She kissed Neil on the cheek. Neil smiled faintly, but did not otherwise stir.

"Buffy?!" came Angel's shout.

They turned to look and saw Angel running toward the injured and unmoving Slayer, still resting against the ruined automobile from earlier. And he wasn't alone.

The Scoobies, Wesley, and Faith were hot on his tail.

"Buffy?! NO!" Willow cried as she ran. Oz ran after her.

"Buffy?! Please God in Heaven, no!" Giles shouted.

"Oh my god! Buffy?!" Xander screamed.

"Buffy?!" Faith yelled.

Cordelia and Spike took a more measured pace.

When Helen saw the state Buffy was in, she ran toward Buffy as well.

Diana, Athena, and Neil's other friends walked over to them. As they came closer, they could all see Buffy was now awake and clambering to her feet, using the car for support. Her friends were clustered around her, attempting to assist her, and she was trying to calm them down.

"I'm fine guys, really." Buffy told them, then she hissed in pain. Helen winced in sympathy as she supported her.

"Buffy, you need medical assistance." Giles informed her.

"What assistance? The hospital is a burned-out shell of its former self." Cordelia commented curtly.

"Cordy, you're not helping." Xander chided her.

"Being truthful is not helping?" Cordelia answered, confused.

Faith saw Athena and ran to her. She noticed Neil in her arms.

"He's okay. He's really okay!" Faith breathed out. She ran her hands through Neil's beard. He muttered something but did not open his eyes.

Buffy and company noticed them. They came over to them and stared at Neil. Buffy, Angel, and the Scoobies smiled at the sight of Neil safe and sound.

Then they all looked around.

"Where is that big bi-?" Buffy began to ask.

"Dead. She had beaten Mom in combat somehow and was standing on her victoriously. I snuck up on her and struck her in the back of the head with this here mace. Then I basically beat her to death with it and crushed her skull with my foot. It was like watching a pinata burst but with blood and brain matter. After I killed her, her body faded away and Neil lay there in her place." Athena explained as she held up her gore-encrusted mace for their inspection.

"Maybe you could have left the pinata part out." Xander commented with a grimace.

Buffy looked back at Athena, then at Neil, then back at Athena. They stared each other down.

"Oooh. Feel the sexual tension."

They all turned to look at Dante and its soldiers as they made their appearance.

"Mr Dante, Demona's creatures, are they...finished?" Wesley asked.

"They are. It's all over." Dante answered. It looked around.

"And from what we overhead, Demona is too."

"Looks like it mate." Spike stated. He lit a cigarette.

"What happened to Lucas?" Angel asked Spike.

"Him and the other vampires and demons high-tailed it back to the sewers when the fight was over. Lucas gave me the middle-fingers as he ran. I just rolled my eyes at the nob-head." Spike explained with a casual shrug.

"Typical." Angel commented.

"Um, Dante, could you…?" Willow asked.

Dante motioned for one of the other Long-Necks to heal Buffy. As it did so, all the "Two-Legs" stared at Dante.

"What? I'm not fucking touching her." Dante responded to their unspoken question.

Three months later…

It was time to say goodbye.

Angel, Spike, and Wesley had all departed Sunnydale for parts unknown several weeks earlier, and now it was Dante's turn. Dante and company had finally located their world and were preparing to go home. Buffy and her family and friends, plus Neil and his friends had gathered outside Neil's castle, which had been repaired and refurbished. Dante and its squad were standing before them. Behind them, was the glowing portal that would send them home.

"Well, this is farewell for now." Dante said.

"I would say bye-bye, but I'm very eager to send you off." Athena snorted.

"Uh-huh. Try not to think about me when I'm gone." Dante replied. It grinned at her impishly.

Faith looked at Dante then at Athena, then back at Dante and laughed uproariously.

"Don't encourage the little motherfucker!" Athena groused at Faith.

"When I see you again, dear, I'll wave at you like this." Dante then gave a mocking royal wave to her.

Athena rolled her eyes and turned away only for Dante to say:

"Oh Athenaaa…?"

Athena looked back at Dante only to be given the same mocking wave.

"Will you fuck off already?" Athena snapped.

Dante chuckled and turned away only to turn back to Athena and Faith.

"Faith. Here." Dante said to Faith. It tossed her an amulet.

The Dark Slayer caught it and stared at it. It was a black cylinder hanging from a white chain.

"What's this?" Faith asked.

"A gift from Eppy and Spidey. They send their love." Dante answered.

Faith stared at Dante with tears in her eyes.

Dante nodded at them, and they nodded at it.

Dante and company went through the hole in reality and vanished. The magical opening sealed itself behind them.

Going inside the castle, they all sat in the massive living room and Neil turned on the huge television.

He and Buffy put their arms around each other.

After a few moments, Neil did something very unexpected.

He said: "Ep!"

The others looked at him in disbelief.

Fade to black.

Xander's voice: "Please tell me you didn't just say that."

Post-Credits Scene:

Two weeks later...

Diana and Neil were standing outside the castle after nightfall. They embraced.

"Thank you for giving me your blessing, Diana. I appreciate it." Neil told Diana.

"You are welcome beloved." Diana responded.

Neil kissed her hand in a gentlemanly manner, smiled at her, and then walked away.

Diana watched him go and smiled herself.

It was Demona's smile.
