Disclaimer: Onto another chapter. I'm not quite sure exactly where I'm going with this, but let's just see what happens.

Chapter 37:

Once they made it back, Haruka introduced Usagi to her friends and family.

"Luna and I are very happy to meet all of you."

Usagi said, giving a slight bow.

"It's very nice to meet you as well. We're glad Haruka has managed to make friends while she's here."

Setsuna said.

"Yeah, well Luna and I kinda made her friends. She was always sitting by herself, so we decided to join her any chance we got."

"Not to mention just randomly show up in my room, whenever I'm not in there."

Haruka said, turning her attention to Usagi.

"That's because Luna and I like being around you."

"I've already told you that you shouldn't get involved with someone like me."

"Why not?"

The innocence in Usagi's voice caused all eyes to be on Haruka, something that the tall blonde hated.

"You wouldn't understand."

"Sure I would. And I'm sure Luna would understand too."

"No, you wouldn't."

"Why wouldn't we?"

"Because you just wouldn't, okay?"

Haruka's voice had a sharp tone to it, and Usagi visibly flinched. Her action did not go unnoticed by the tall blonde, and she placed a comforting hand on Usagi's shoulder.

"I'm sorry, koneko. But there are just some things you wouldn't understand, and things I don't like discussing."

"You mean, like the fact that you miss your dad?"

Usagi's question threw everyone into a state of shock.

"Ru, is that true? Do you actually miss your dad?"

Kyle asked, not believing what he was hearing.

"What? No, that's crazy. I don't miss him."

"Yes you do."

"No, koneko, I don't."

"Yes you do. Why else would you be crying in your sleep, and saying that you miss him and that you're sorry?"

"Your buns must be too tight. None of that ever happened."

"Yes it has. It's happened multiple times."

This time, Setsuna spoke up before Haruka had a chance to say anything.

"Haruka, you need to be honest. Do you miss your dad?"

"No."

"Haruka?"

Haruka let out a deep sigh.

"Alright fine, I miss him. Are you happy now?"

Setsuna could hear the pain in her voice, and moved closer to Haruka. She then pulled her into a comforting embrace.

"It's okay that you miss him. I know he hurt you and caused you a lot of pain, but he was still your dad."

Haruka shook her head.

"I shouldn't miss him though. I should be happy that he's gone. I shouldn't want to see him again, or…"

"Or what?"

"Or hug him. God, this is so stupid. The man hardly ever hugged me, so why do I want a damn hug from him so badly?"

"Maybe some part of you is holding onto the few happy memories you have of your dad."

Michiru said, finally speaking after being silent for a while.

"Michiru-mama is right. I used to miss my foster parents, cuz despite the horrible things they did to me, there were still a few happy memories."

Haruka shook her head once again.

"This isn't right though. My dad did horrible things to me, and allowed others to do horrible things to me. I shouldn't have room in my heart for someone like that."

"Do you still have room in your heart for Michiru-mama? After all, she did something horrible to you too."

Haruka stared at her daughter, not expecting her to ask such a question.

"Of course I do."

"Then it's possible for you to have room in your heart for your dad."

"I don't think so, hime-chan. What my dad did and what your Michiru-mama did are in no way comparable."

"They both raped you though. Seems compared to me."

"You know, the kids got a point."

Yuiko said. Haruka just rolled her eyes.

"Look, can we just talk about something else now? This entire conversation is making me feel not so great."

Everyone gave Haruka a sympathetic look.

"Sure, we can talk about something else. Are you all set to go to Canada tomorrow?"

Yuiko asked.

"Yeah, I guess so. Not too keen on being so far away, but at least it's only for eight weeks."

"We're all gonna miss you, but we know it's what's best for you."

"I know, I just wish I could stay here. I mean, I've been eating and I haven't hurt myself since I got here."

"What about when you needed immediate medical attention?"

Usagi asked.

"I have no idea what you're talking about."

Haruka said, silently pleading that Usagi would just stop there.

"How do you not know what I'm talking about? Don't you remember, y-"

"Hush!"

Haruka shouted, effectively cutting Usagi off.

"That is on a strictly need to know basis and they don't need to know."

Haruka said, gesturing to her friends and family around the room.

"But Haruka, they're your loved ones. Shouldn't they know what happened. After all, it's why you're going to Canada, isn't it?"

Haruka let out a sigh and stood up.

"I'm gonna go get my file from Mateo, I'll be right back."

Haruka then left and returned a short while later with her file. She then handed it to Setsuna.

"Open it and read the highlighted section."

Setsuna did as instructed, and when her eyes fell upon the highlighted section she couldn't believe what she was reading.

End of chapter 37:

A/N: Ending on a cliffhanger, cuz I enjoy cliffhangers from time to time. Until next time, this is PokémonSoulMaster93 signing out.
