Chapter twelve:
It is getting close to the end of the day as the last class of the day is getting close to its end.
Hikaru tilts his head to look to his brother Kaoru's desk that has remained empty the entire day. He wonders what his brother could be doing that caused him to miss the entire day of school. He tried texting his brother during lunch though got no response. He then realizes that he has no idea what friend Kaoru is even staying with. He has seen the other host club members here and there.
None of them mentioned anything to him and Kaoru skipping the whole day would be important to share.
Hikaru starts to get a bad feeling inside of himself that something is seriously wrong. He blinks in surprise as the bell rings indicating the end of class. He starts to gather his stuff to get ready for the host club. He walks towards the club room ahead of Haruhi. He pulls out his phone and texts his brother asking him where he is. He makes it to the club room without receiving an answer. He clutches his phone as he stands outside of the club room. He tries to call his brother and listens to each ring wondering how long it'll take his brother to respond. He lowers his phone as it just rings until it goes to voicemail. He ends the call and turns as Haruhi approaches.
Haruhi can clearly tell that something is wrong as judging by the look that is on her face. She stops beside Hikaru and looks to him so that their eyes end up meeting. "Is everything okay?"
"I need to talk to everyone." Hikaru informs Haruhi and heads into the host club room with Haruhi following him.
The others are already there and they turn to the two as Hikaru and Haruhi enter the club room.
"Well that is almost everyone." Tamaki mentions and checks his phone for the time. "We're still missing one."
Hunny starts to open his mouth to ask where Kaoru is when Hikaru speaks before he can say a single word.
"We can't do the host club today." Hikaru tells them all as they all watch and listen to what he has to say. "Kaoru went to a friends place for a sleepover with that friend. However he never came to school. Every attempt that I have made to get into contact with him has failed."
"He didn't say what friend he went to spend time with?" Hunny questions in which Hikaru shakes his head.
"And I really don't know who he could have been talking about. I don't know about any of Kaoru's other friends outside of the host club." Hikaru admits starting to realize just how little he had been paying attention to his brother. He starts to wonder if this is possibly a part of why Kaoru hasn't come back. He wonders if Kaoru just decided to leave his old life behind to perhaps start a new life. He doesn't really hear the others talking to each other as it all sounds distant to him. Did he chase his brother away? He turns feeling a hand come to rest upon his shoulder. He finds his eyes meeting with Haruhi's clearly worried ones.
"Hikaru? You okay?" Haruhi inquires watching him as her gaze gains some sympathy knowing that the other is worried about his brother.
"That's not important." Hikaru slightly glances away and notices that Tamaki and Kyouya are deep in conversation with each other.
Haruhi seems to have noticed him see that. "They're trying to figure the best way to start a search for Kaoru. From what I heard they are going to use Kyouya's family police force in order to try to hunt Kaoru down."
Hikaru nods his head knowing that it is a good way to cover more ground faster than the host club could dream of doing so alone. He looks down to the ground wondering if Kaoru is okay and where he could have run off to.
….
Razzy turns as the one who had been trying to help Kaoru comes out of the room. "How is he?" He had everyone leave the rooms area to give their friend space to work, though he stayed in the area of the room just in case anything is needed. He is glad that they were able to keep Kaoru alive until their friend managed to arrive to be able to help. He didn't care how long he'd have to wait for their friend to finish helping Kaoru as long as their friend did the best that she could.
"He is in a delicate state currently. I will have to stay close by since you can't just take him to a hospital." She is a medium build woman, small breasts, dark brown hair that drapes all over her shoulders, her long bangs tucked behind her ears, sympathetic bright blue eyes, pale white skin, a black tank top that is very loose and shows off parts of a black bra underneath, black pants, bloody hands from working to help Kaoru to the best of her abilities, and black socks as she had taken off her dark red high heels at the entry way.
Razzy wishes that they could however things would turn out badly considering the type of group they are since the hospital would get police involved. He just knows that they'll have to make due with the equipment that they can get their hands on to help Kaoru. He'll get his hands on whatever he has to in order to save his team member. He sees all of his team members as a part of his family like they are his children and he needs to take care of them. Especially at times like this. "Okay. That is fine. We'll set up a place for you so you can stay as long as you need. If you need anything to help that we don't have I will get it."
"I know. You told me that many times whenever your team members get hurt." She smiles at Razzy and reaches out placing a comforting hand on his cheek. "It is a bad wound but it isn't the worst that we've had to deal with." She reminds him and Razzy almost shudders at the thought of the worst injury that they had to deal with.
That was when Oshan had been shot multiple times on his body. He almost died that day and it was a miracle that he made it through that horrible ordeal.
"Well I will let you do what you need to."
"Thank you again Maxina. I have Oshan here if you need anything. Mosu will let you know when your room is ready." Razzy nods his head then he heads off. He gives the instructions to the two members in the home then he gets in a car. He drives off to a spot that is an old building that used to be a barn but was abandoned. He pulls up to it and gets out. His eyes narrow and he closes the door to the car that he took. He heads into the barn his hands balling up into fists as anger surges through his veins.
