Chapter fifteen:
A knock comes to the door causing Razzy and the others to turn to it.
Razzy gets up and heads over to answer the door. He opens it and finds Haruhi and Hikaru standing there.
"Sorry to disturb you." Hikaru is the one to speak. "But we are looking for someone." He pulls up a picture of his brother showing it to Razzy. "This is my brother. I was wondering if you had seen him. He went to a friends house and never came back."
"Let me see." Razzy pretends to study the image to give himself time to think what he should say. He pulls back and shakes his head. "No. I saw him once on a walk a few days ago." He mentions to them deciding to at least give them a little bit to try to help. "He seemed like he had somewhere in mind. However I don't know anything past that." He lies smoothly to them. "I didn't follow him."
"Where was it that you saw him that day?" Hikaru inquires to Razzy at least a little hopeful.
"Heading towards the field just down the road." Razzy informs them.
Hikaru's hope seems to fly away. "Oh." He looks down. "We checked there during our hunt. There was no sign of anything there."
"I am sorry then."
"It is not your fault. Thank you though." Hikaru leads Haruhi away with that and Razzy closes the door.
"You didn't tell them the truth."
Razzy turns and sees Maxina leaning against a wall her ankles crossed and her arms also crossed. He is going to respond when she speaks first.
"Are you worried that they'll take away a member of your group? You care about your group like family. If they found out the truth you're scared that Kaoru will be forbidden to see you again." Maxina suggests and raises an eyebrow to see if she is right.
"It is also Kaoru's own privacy." Razzy tells her knowing better than to deny it. "I mean it doesn't seem like they know anything about his secret life. He has his own reasons and I would like to respect them. Besides." He gives her a determined look. "What if we are no longer allowed to see him? Kaoru looks happier than when I first met him when he is with us. I don't want him to be thrown into a miserable life again. I will do whatever I must. Even if I have to give him a new identity or help him to come up with an alabi to keep them off of his back about it." He puts on a jacket. "There is something that I need to go do. Please keep helping Kaoru and if anyone asks he isn't here." He then leaves after that and Maxina watches him go then heads to check on Kaoru.
As darkness falls upon the world the host club regroup to talk about if they found anything. They all look around at each other realizing that no one found anything.
Kyouya adjusts his glasses with a sigh. "My police force didn't find anything helpful." He informs them as the others turn to look to him, the glare on his glasses are hiding his eyes from view. "We did get a bit of a report of seeing him in one area. We thoroughly searched there, even the homes there. However nothing was found. Not even when looking into the windows of homes there. So that was a dead end."
"The only sighting for us was a walk he was on a few days ago. However we found nothing in that location either." Hikaru adds getting everyone there to glance to him. He looks down feeling really worried. "Kaoru… Where have you gone?"
"We'll end the search for tonight." Kyouya suggests as everyone but Hikaru turn to him. "I will get those that I will send information to proper investigators tomorrow. We will get the best of the best on the search."
With that the host club head off for today.
Hikaru makes it home not even greeting the maids and he heads to his and his brothers room. He looks to the bed and imagines his brother peacefully sleeping on his side of the bed as he stands there for a bit, before deciding to search Kaoru's nightstand. He takes stuff out not finding much that is helpful.
A photo of the two of them together, a few sketches that Kaoru had done about a year ago that he had showed Hikaru, an extra phone charger, and one of their old portable gaming devices with its charger.
Hikaru puts everything back with a sigh. "Oh Kaoru… Where are you? Are you okay?" He wishes that he knew the answer to that though he doesn't. "Would you still be here with me if I had been a better brother and hung out with you? Actually cared about where you went? Maybe even went on your walks with you?" He closes his eyes sighing heavily as he finds that him trying to think of it only brings up more questions on whether or not Kaoru would be here now. He doesn't know what happened and what he could have done to prevent this from happening to his dearest brother. He may not have hung out with him as much as before but he still cares about his brother. He just wishes that they had found out information that lead them to an answer. He has no idea how long he is going to have to deal with not knowing where his brother is.
Or what Kaoru is currently going through.
And who knows if he would ever even know what happened to his brother.
Kaoru could just as very well be gone forever with no answers about it ever being found.
Razzy and Lorine arrive to a home that looks like a regular house just like the other houses around them.
The home has white wood plank looking walls, is at least two stories high, a light brown door with a small rectangular frosted glass window above it, a few other windows on either side of the door with the curtains pulled or the lights off that are likely windows for certain rooms of the home, and a wooden sturdy looking fence starting from the side corners of the home and moving back to fence in the side of the home plus most likely the backyard.
"This is the house of Ide's friend." Lorine explains turning her head to Razzy however keeping her eyes upon the house. "He was the first one that I found. He had talked about it when I pretended to be interested at a bar. He fell for it and told me his address thinking that I'd come to have more fun with him."
"Perfect." Razzy cant help but smirk at heading this and he leads the way towards the home. "You pretend that you did come. I'll sneak around back and get inside. We are going to make this motherfucker pay for what he has done. I will make sure that he doesn't get a chance to do anything to you." He gets an I know response from Lorine at his words. With that he breaks away heading around the home to find a way into the backyard as Lorine approaches the front door. He finds a smirk coming across his face as this revenge is going to feel oh so good.
