Chapter twenty one:

Mosu is sitting in the same room as Kaoru though he sits in a chair by where the other is laying. "I don't want to be afraid." He admits with his gaze remaining to the floor. "But I am. I am terrified of what might happen if you don't make it." He wipes tears that try to form in his eyes. "What if I am just getting my hopes up for no good reason?" He shakes his head closing his eyes to do so then he opens them again once done. "No. I need to think positive. You need us to be there for you during this whole thing. And I need to be more positive. I need to believe in you." He doesn't look to the other for a good few moments before finally raising his head to look to him. His eyes widen as he spots a misty almost see through figure hovering over Kaoru's body looking at the unconscious teen.

A light blonde male with messily cut bob cut style hair and sympathetic gentle light green eyes. He has pale skin and is rather tall though slightly curled his legs in close. He looks to Mosu who doesn't notice tears start to fall down his cheeks. He gives him a smile with his naturally dark pink lips then nods with encouragement before fading away.

"Wait! Meiji!" Mosu calls out leaping from his chair reaching after the faded figure. He stops as his legs almost hit the bed and he slowly lowers his hand down. He swings his head down sobbing and crying for a few moments. He barely manages to pick up movement through his blurry vision he swears that he sees movement. He looks up and wipes away his tears to get a better look hoping that it is Meiji again. He blinks as a few last tears fall as he comes to realize that Kaoru had shifted. He is only able to give a soft smile. "Was he trying to tell me that you will make it?" He wonders out loud and looks to Kaoru's face. "Okay. I will keep my hopes up." He abandons the chair that he had knocked over in his rush to try to reach Meiji. "For you and Meiji. And I suppose a little for myself."

Just a moment after that statement Kaoru groans perking Mosu up more. He opens his eyes blinking them though not opening them further than halfway.

"You're awake!" Mosu calls out happily causing Kaoru to tiredly turn to him slightly. "Hold. I'll go get someone." He heads out finding Maxina just coming from the kitchen where Oshan had been giving out dinner. He silently admits that she looks a little refreshed with good food in her belly. "He's awake." He sees her calm expression turn to a more happy one and she hurries in. He follows after her and gives them some space.

Maxina stands next to the bed and smiles down at Kaoru. "It is good to see you awake." She mentions as the other continues to wake up a bit more. She does a check on his vitals, wound and other basic things. "Well. Everything is going to be fine." She steps back smiling widely. "You'll make a full recovery."

Kaoru's eyes drift to spot Mosu and Maxina turns to see his gaze.

Maxina turns back to Kaoru. "I'll go tell the others the great news." She leaves and Mosu notes how she slows once in the hall as if to give him time.

Mosu turns to Kaoru and approaches.

Kaoru offers the best smile that he can to Mosu. "Meiji says that you've been doing really well." He sees the other blink in shock at this. "He's proud of you." His voice is rough from not using it though he is able to be understood well enough.

"H-How…" Mosu suddenly can't find his voice.

"I saw him before I awoke. He said that things were going to be okay. He said that he wanted to talk to you but he hasn't mastered that yet. Though because of my injury it was easier to reach me. He visited me a few times to talk to me and to make sure that I wasn't giving up. Which I assured him that I wanted to do everything I could to live. He was relieved to hear that. He was really worried about you with this whole thing. Though he thinks that you did so well. He also mentioned that it is okay to be scared. Just keep your head up." He has a pause or two to make sure that he gets it all out without straining.

"Thank you." Mosu wipes a tear away then turns as the others hurry in.

The others happily gather and tell him how happy they are to see him awake.

Maxina is about to walk past the front door after going around making sure to tell everyone. She turns as Razzy returns with Lorine. She offers them a smile. "You are just in time. Kaoru woke up."

Razzy grins. "That is great news! We have taken care of those responsible." He informs Maxina. "I'll make sure to give you extra money as a huge thank you." He then leads the two to the room and the others part to let him through. He gets to Kaoru's bedside and the two have their eyes meet.

"Sorry if I scared you." Kaoru apologizes though Razzy waves it off.

"Don't worry about it." Razzy assures him smiling widely. "We made sure that those responsible are taken care of." He informs him then seems to think of something. "Kaoru. If you continue to stay with us then you could be put in another situation like this. All the members you know have already accepted that. I know you've been willing to take the risk. Though after this is that still what you want to do?"

Kaoru finds that there isn't any hesitation. "Yes." He confirms with a smile. "While it may be dangerous I still wish to continue working with you all."

"Good to know." Razzy hands Kaoru his cellphone. "I made sure it was charged though it is off. You can decide what you want to do."

"I want to wait until I am stronger." Kaoru informs him after looking over his phone thoughtfully. "I will go and tell my brother, family and the club that I found something that I really want to do in life. That you run a company who wants to give others chances that they might not get."

"I can call the company and they can act as a cover up if needed." Razzy nods his head. "You can tell them as much as you want."

Two weeks later…

Hikaru and Haruhi arrive to where Kyouya wanted to meet them.

"Did you find a clue?" Hikaru presses and Kyouya adjusts his glasses with the glare remaining on them.

"Well. It turns out that someone murdered both the one who was paid to kill Kaoru as well as the other man who helped in placing the hit." Kyouya reports to the two of them surprising them.

"Do you think that it was those two that we went to that room in the hotel?" Haruhi inquires to Kyouya.

"My thoughts exactly." Kyouya confirms glancing to Haruhi meeting her eyes through the glare on his glasses. "Perhaps they were asked by someone to stop this. Though I cannot confirm who it is."

Hikaru glances away hoping that it was Kaoru so that he is safe and that now that the threat is gone he can come home. He hopes…
