This one came out faster than I expected. Well, I didn't have that much stuff to do other that personal businesses and stuff, but here we are in the next episode! My episodes aren't getting longer, please bear with me on that. XD

Total Drama: Infinite Zero

Episode 2: I've Got the Answer

DAY 02

"Last time on Total Drama Infinite Zero," Chris's voice was heard on screen as replays from the previous episode began playing. "Our sixteen adventurers were placed into danger in the virtual world by the huge dragon last time."

The dragon was seen flying about while the contestants were getting ready to fight.

"Unfortunately, most have come back into the real world injured. But without Arthur's shield ability, everyone would've gotten hurt even further." Chris continued. "However, even our boring guild leader Charlize didn't seem too happy with the results."

The screen now showed a scene of everyone getting up from their pods, facing an angry Charlize.

"What will happen to our gamers now? Who will be the first boot? Find out now on Total Drama: Infinite Zero!" Chris announces as the theme song now plays on the screen.

Dear Mom and Dad, I'm doing fine

The camera gets a quick close up of the Gaming Lab where 16 pods laid down on the sides with a huge screen in front.

You guys are on my mind

The view goes backwards and we see both Charlize and Chris frantically trying to fix the controls on the lab.

You asked me what I wanted to be

The camera zooms into the television where we can see Theodore filming himself in the virtual world.

And now I think the answer is plain to see

This was interrupted by Arthur who accidentally bumped into him and dropped his shield in the process. The paladin quickly apologized while Theodore gave the camera a sheepish grin.

I wanna be famous

We now get a view of Mollie painting the calm scenery of the ocean. Cory suddenly trips over and Mollie's easel fell down, causing the painter to give him a disapproving frown.

I wanna live close to the sun

Zooming out from the scene, we can now see a battle of magic between Noel and Alice versus Zerine and Ragnar. All four of their magic clashed together until what we now get was an explosion.

Well, pack your bags 'cause I've already won

Once the explosion cleared out, the camera pans to Lester who was cheering happily from the sidelines next to a rather annoyed Jessica, who just resumed fixing her weapons.

Everything to prove, nothing in my way

The view flipped for a bit until we can see Paige trying to shoot a squirrel with her arrow. Blaster comes into the scene, unknown of what the archer was doing and Paige accidentally shoots Blaster's prosthetic leg. Blaster glared at Paige and vice versa, causing conflict between the two.

I'll get there one day

Back in the real world, Candy and Iris were seen just exiting out of their pods sharing a high five with each other. The camera then pans to Zane and Devon having just exited from their pods as well, only to look exhausted and beaten up.

Na-na-na-na-na Na-na-na-na Na-na-na-na!

Various shots of different places and creatures good and evil in the virtual world can be seen.

I wanna be I wanna be I wanna be famous

We now get a clear shot of everyone battling each other in the virtual world.

I wanna be I wanna be I wanna be famous

The camera zooms out from the screen as the cast was now in the real world inside the gaming lab. They all looked back and positioned themselves for a cast picture as the logo of Total Drama: Infinite Zero appears on screen.

The contestants are currently in the real world, dressed in their casual everyday outfits. Yesterday was indeed quite a roller coaster for everyone as they had to battle a virtual fire dragon, only to get hurt in the real world as well.

As of now, they were currently dining in Chef's restaurant called "The Hatchery Diner," some place that was just behind the game store. The restaurant however, was exclusive for the cast only, plus the guy who worked at the game store.

Over at the Beasts' table, everyone grimaced at

the food guven to them.

"Eat up." Chef Hatchet shrugged as he served a plate to each member.

"What… what is this?" Paige grimaced as she had her fork swirling around the 'pasta.' The 'pasta' however, seems to be… moving of some sorts. "I am so not eating that. That thing just moved."

"Not to mention, who in the world eats pasta in the morning?" Noel added coldly, sighing in disappointment.

Confessional: Iris

"Next time… I'm just gonna make my own food. No wonder why this restaurant is only exclusive to us…" she sighs.

End confessional

"...Does he get to eat real food?" Mollie asked Chef, pointing at Gordon who was eating a plate of eggs and bacon. "It's not fair."

"Well, it is. So eat up." Chef responded as he walked over to the Warlords' table.

Theodore was taking pictures of the food. "I'm gonna need my nation to see this." He chuckled, somewhat in an excited manner, mostly because he gets to see how will his subscribers react to it or something like that.

"Maybe it's not that bad…" Blaster shrugged as she took a small bite of a rotten egg, before spitting it out afterwards. "Blech! Okay, I as wrong, that tasted horrible."

"Cheer up, young ones. This is probably just our food for now. Maybe we will have something better for lunch and dinner." Arthur assured everyone as he took a bite of his stale bread, wincing at how it tasted. "Oh… oh my…"

"Well, we're gonna have to eat. I don't want you guys to have low to zero energy for our challenge later." Devon told them before eating his burnt bacon.

The Warlords also have the same exact reactions as the Beasts with their own food.

"I'm not eating that. This looks disgusting." Lester whined as he set his plate of spoiled eggs aside.

"You better eat if you don't want to slack off and have us vote you off the game, you twat." Cory snarked, taking a huge bite of his stale bread not even wincing at how bad it is. "Eh, prison food is better."

Chef quickly looked back at the contestants if they were throwing away. The camera quickly pans to Ragnar who was pretending to drink his milk (which was actually white paint mixed with water) by doing a drinking motion with his glass on the side, spilling it on the ground though the angle looked like he was actually drinking it.

"Mmmm fucking delicious." Ragnar sarcastically commented as his eyes twitched.

When Chef turned away he finally sighed in relief.

Jessica found his stunt funny and couldn't help but snicker. "Pffft, why you gotta do that."

Candy just sighed on the other hand. "Next time, maybe we should just try and cook the food ourselves."

"I heard that!" Chef shouted.

"Oh sorry…" Candy squeaked.

"We can do that… if we are allowed to." Alice added, though she looked like whe wanted them to make the food themselves. "Otherwise we're gonna have to eat this until the end."

"I have a feeling that the others in the opposing team would do the same." Zerine commented.

"What makes you say that?" Zane asked.

Zerine raised an eyebrow. "Well, why wouldn't they?"

Confessional: Zerine

"If you don't eat, you'll starve. If you eat whatever Chef cooks, chances are that you will get an upset stomach. So either way, it's a win-win situation. Actually, not a win-win. More like a lose-lose."

End confessional

Suddenly, the speaker beeped as a familiar female voice came in. "Gamers," Charlize's voice rang. "Head by the Game Lab as we will now head onto the virtual world for your second challenge."

Everyone proceeded to exit out of the restaurant, a bit relieved that they have been excused from eating such foods.

By the time they have reached the Game Lab, the sixteen teens plus Chris and Charlize all went inside their own pods, getting ready to head into somewhere else in the virtual world. Once they have all flashed on the area, everyone looked around to see that they were now in their virtual attire, well maybe except for Chris. Even Charlize just wore a very basic looking navy wizard attire.

They were in the middle of nowhere, standing in front of two towers. The sky radiated an ominously maroon color as thunder can be heard along with a few streaks of lightning to match.

Everyone looked at both towers in front of them. They both looked extremely dark (and a bit scary to an extent). In fact, they were so high up into the sky that they reached onto the dark clouds above them.

"So your challenge for today..." Chris cleared his throat as he turned his attention back to the cast, with everyone looking weirdly at him as he was the only one who didn't have any virtual armor on. "Is a race to the top of these towers!"

Charlize decided to continue the explanation, not caring about her wizard hat as it flew away from her head. "There will be riddles in each floor. Solving these riddles helps you unlock the next floors you'll have to encounter." She explained in an extremely monotone voice. "There are also booby traps in there so try not to get yourselves... you know... killed."

"Booby?" Paige asked with confusion.

"Yes," Charlize sighed. "Booby. Not booby-booby but, ugh, you know what I mean. Just remember that the first team with the most members that reaches to the top first is safe from the booby elimination, god why did I said that-"

"Anyway, Beasts on the left tower, Warlords on the right." Chris interrupted his co-host before she got even more… well… yeah.

Both teams lined up by the entrance of both towers.

"You will find scrolls somewhere in the floor where you'll try to unlock the door to the next floor… yeah." Chris added, as he got out a megaphone out of nowehere. "Alright gamers! Ready…"

The teams all got ready to barge into the entrance of the towers to win the challenge.

"Set…" Charlize said, eyeing each team in case anyone got a head start.

"GO!" Chris yelled and blew on his megaphone as the teens made a mad dash into the entrance.

Beasts (1st Floor)

"Alright everyone. Find a scroll that has a riddle on it." Devon ordered at his team as he looked around the large room.

The room wasn't tall of height. You'll have a hard time walking around if you were near seven feet at height. There were also several desks at one side, scattered about as if a storm hit the place. The other side though looked pretty plain with lots of dust bunnies everywhere.

"We must hurry up, youngsters." Arthur coughed. "Being in a completely dusty room can increase difficulty in breathing."

Blaster found a dusty bookshelf by the corner of the room. "Maybe it could be here…" she said, grabbing a few books and flipping their pages in case a small scroll would fall out from it.

"Found it!" Theodore called out. He still had his camera on hand as he was filming but he found a small piece of paper. The rest of the Beast team all gathered as Theodore began to read the riddle.

"What does it say?" Iris asked.

"We use these all throughout our lives, to carry and hold the treasures of our time." Theodore read. "What?"

"I… I have no idea." Mollie sighed. "I did not expect these riddles to be… you know, difficult."

"Carry and hold? Treasures? Of our time?" Paige analyzed. "Hmm... maybe a treasure chest?"

Nothing happened.

"How will we know if we get the answer right or wrong? Will the door open or will something else happen?" Iris wondered.

Suddenly one side of the wall broke open and an incredibly large hand emerged from it, aiming for Theodore.

"Stand back!" Noel yelled out as he tried to use his ice magic to freeze the hand but in a quick flash, it scooped Theodore out of the tower.

"AAAAAAAAAH!" Theodore yelled as everyone began using their attacks in order to take it down.

"Hold on!" Blaster shouted as she got out her sword but unfortunately, she was too late as now they were out of sight.

That was when the door opened and a staircase heading up revealed from it.

"Let's get out of here." Devon declared and rushed to the staircase.

"Wait so we're just gonna leave him be!?" Paige raged at him. "What are you thinking!?"

"Let's just go, please avoid arguing, young omes." Arthur ordered as everyone rushed out of the first floor.

Warlords (1st Floor)

The time rewinded for a bit as now we can see the Warlords have entered their tower. The first thing we heard though were a bunch of coughs coming from Lester.

"Shut up or I'll have you eat dirt whether you like it or not!" Cory yelled at him.

This caused Lester to feel sad instantly. Alice quickly patted the shorter boy on the back.

"Cory, you don't have to say those rude words at him." Alice sneered at him as Lester cried. "Look what you've done."

"He's being an asshole so take it or suck it." Cory rolled his eyes over at the mage.

Meanwhile, Ragnar was currently looking at the corners of the room and found the scroll. "Hey guys, I found it!"

Everyone rushed up to where the angomancer was standing.

"Can I read it?" Candy asked before Ragnar gave her the scroll. "We use these all throughout our lives, to carry and hold the treasures of our time."

"Wait so, will the door open if we get it right?" Jessica asked.

"Maybe." Zerine shrugged. "Also the answer to that is probably our hands because they hold and carry stuff. I don't know."

With that, the door opened.

Zane had his mouth opened in astonishment. "Well, that was fast. Come on." He said as the team all sauntered up the tower.

Beasts (2nd Floor)

Everyone in the Breaking Beasts team panted as the door closed. The gigantic hand had took Theodore away from them and now they had no idea where he went.

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door.

"Oh what's this?" Devon groaned frustratingly, getting his weapon ready for any incoming attack. "Everyone, get ready!"

"Wait…" Paige elbowed Devon, immediately pointing towards the scroll on the floor. "Another riddle."

"...Who's gonna read it?" Iris gulped nervously. "I mean, Theodore read the last one and look what happened to him-"

"I'll do it." Blaster quickly volunteered, scooping up the scroll from the floor as she began to read. "When skies are bright, the higher you go, the world gets darker when you go low. Okay, what the hell is this supposed to mean?"

She turned to the rest of her teammates who were all close to each other, almost scared for their (virtual) lives.

After a few seconds, nothing happened.

"I guess nothing happened. Wow, we got pretty lucky there." Mollie commented with a sheepish chuckle.

"...Not really." Noel said, pointing towards a crack on the floor. The cracks started gradually getting bigger and bigger the closer it got to them.

"EVERYONE ON THE OTHER SIDE, NOW!" Arthur shouted towards everyone. They all made a sprint towards the other side of the room when Blaster suddenly tripped, ending up with her toppling down, thus plummeting down between the large cracks and into the dark abyss below.

"AHHHH!" Her screams were heard as she fell down.

Mollie quickly painted a magic carpet in the air. However, she was too fast to do so, and thus, it fizzled.

"No!" she cried.

"Come on, we have to get out of here!" Devon ordered. The door leading to the third floor opened, but now they had lost two members.

Warlords (2nd Floor)

The Warlords didn't have much of a problem as they went up to the second floor of their tower. The room looked almost exactly the same as the first one, with desks and shelves laid about along with dust bunnies.

"I feel like we're just going around and around in circles." Alice laughed to herself as she looked around for a scroll but sighed as she didn't find any.

"I doubt though that they would hide it in the exact same place again." Zane stated as he looked over at the room's corners similar to what Ragnar did earlier. Once he did looked at the sides of the room, he shook his head. "Well, I guess I was right."

Candy sighed in defeat as sat by the floor after about fifteen minutes of looking for the scroll. "Ugh, this is no use. It's been forever and we still haven't found the scroll."

"Try not to give up so easily." Jessica replied to the cleric as she looked at over the pile of desks and eventually found a scroll under one of them. She picked it up and showed it to her teammates. "See?"

Cory snatched the scroll from her. "Let me read it. I haven't contributed anything yet so I will do so before you vote me off." He snarked. Jessica merely shrugged as the boy began to do so anyway. "When skies are bright, the higher you go, the world gets darker when you go low. What the fuck is that supposed to mean?"

After a minute of silence, the team all turned to Zerine, who was completely baffled.

"What, you guys think that I have an answer already?" the girl sighed.

"Maybe." Lester shrugged. "What do you think?"

"I don't know… maybe hell?" Zerine answered, not really thinking much about the riddle.

Nothing happened for a few seconds.

Suddenly, the ground started shaking violently.

"EARTHQUAKEEEE!" Ragnar shouted at the top of his lungs as the floor below them began to split. Since the phenomena only happened in that certain room though, the rest of the floors of the tower weren't effected by it.

"You guys, over there by the door! Hurry!" Zane shouted as he tried running up to the door.

Lester was wobbling just next to the chasm but stumbled backwards.

"AAAAHHHH HEEEEEELP!" He shouted.

Cory, as much as he didn't want to help him, rushed to the oddly dressed boy anyway. However, he lost his balance and crashed into Zerine who was right next to the chasm as well. They both fell into it as they screamed, with Lester having no choice but to fall down into the abyss with them. All three of their virtual bodies flickered as they disappeared, much to everyone's horror.

"Let's get out of here before it gets onto us!" Ragnar shouted as they ran up to the next floor.

Beasts (3rd Floor)

The team of six have now entered the third floor. There were only a few more floors to go but the challenge was… not getting any better.

"I wonder how the other team is doing." Iris commented, pushing a bookshelf off to the side. "And especially Blaster and Theodore for our team. I mean, who knows where they went?"

"They probably had to lose a few members oo. Who knows." Devon shrugged as he continued to find the next scroll.

"I have a feeling that Blaster and Theodore are back at the real world." Noel commented. "Maybe if we 'die' here in the virtual world, we'll automatically respawn back to the real world."

"The last time we respawned though, we were injured." Mollie sighed as she painted a magnifying glass on the thin air to aid them in their search. "Then again, we would have died back there if Arthur didn't shielded us with his abilities." She added with a chuckle.

"Any time, youngsters." Arthur happily added, but his smile faded into a surprised look as he found the scroll by the door. "Oh, by golly! Looks like we've found it!"

Paige laughed. "They didn't do a good job in hiding this one."

"Someone read it." Devon commanded. "Why don't you read it, Paige?"

"Me? Oh come on, you saw what happened back there, right!?" Paige shouted.

"Of course I did! That's why I asked you to read it!" Devon opposed.

The archer gasped. "So are you saying you want me gone?! Just so you know that by reading the scroll might declare the end of your virtual life, you know that!"

"Just do it!"

"Youngsters!" Arthur got in between them. "Please refrain from arguing."

Paige rolled her eyes and snatched the scroll. "I came from the stormy night, I accompany the noise with my light. The fuck? It's probably thunder for all I care."

Mollie gulped. "I have a bad feeling about this… we're never gonna get any of the riddles right..."

Several thunderclaps were heard on the room. The team all shuddered and covered their ears.

"The door's open! Now!" Devon yelled as he rushed up to the door.

Before Paige could reach the door however, a bolt of lightning struck her. She let out a shrill scream before her body flickered, thus disappearing into thin air. Another lightning bolt struck at Devon who was just about to enter the door right after her.

"Holy crap!" Iris gasped at the sight of her teammates 'dying' but Noel grabbed her arm.

"Let's go! There is no time to spare!" He shouted. Arthur let everyone entered the door as he used his shielding abilities to prevent the team from getting hit by even more lightning bolts.

Warlords (3rd Floor)

The five remaining Warlords all entered the room hurriedly whilst panting heavily. The staircases both of the towers had were extremely steep and one staircase could even be equivalent to five floors already.

"We lost three people back there." Jessica raged, pointing at the door where they came from. "Three. Freaking. People! How on earth are we going to win this challenge now?"

Candy frantically looked over at her teammates. "Guys… we really need to get another riddle right. I have no idea how we just lost three of our teammates back there."

"Well either way, we still have to make it to the top before the other team does!" Ragnar declared. He look at the window and could see that the bridge connecting both rooftops of the two towers was just about one staircase ahead. Once they get out of this floor, they may be able to win this.

"Where would the final scroll be?" Zane jutted a hand on his chin, trying to keep himself calm while finding the last scroll.

Alice was walking around the room, not knowing that she accidentally stepped on something. Looking down, she found the scroll. "Ah, nice. That was quick."

The rest of her teammates rushed up to her.

"Alright… let me read the riddle. It says, I came from the stormy night, I accompany the noise with my light. Hmm…"

Jessica snapped both of her fingers. "Oh that is so easy. That's lightning."

Clink!

They could hear the final door lock open in front of them as they squealed in delight.

"Yes! Thank god we didn't have to lose anyone this time!" Ragnar said in pure joy as he began to lead his team to the top.

4th Floor - Rooftop

The rooftop didn't looked so… stormy as it did while the cast was at the bottom of the tower. Both Chris and Charlize were looking at both towers to see which team would come out first.

Siddenly both doors from both towers burst open and out came the few gamers remaining.

"We won!" Mollie cheered with a huge grin on her face.

"Hey, we got up here first, you know!" Jessica argued towards the painter.

Charlize began to shush both of them. "No. Remember what we told you guys? The first team who got up here with the most members wins the challenge."

Chris rubbed his hands together. "Time for a head count."

The win seemed to be obvious considering how many teens were remaining. "Beasts, you have four out of eight members while the Warlords have five out of eight members. Warlords, congratulations on winning your first challenge!"

The Warlords all cheered happily.

"Beasts, see you at the backyard for your first elimination." Charlize ordered. "The others are back in the real world but make sure they get all patched up before the elimination ceremony."

Everyone nodded before Chris pressed a button on his controller as they all teleported back to their pods in the real world.

Game Store Porch

Blaster was currently sitting on a bench just by the entrance of the game store. She had bandages on her arm and leg and her prosthetic arm and leg were malfunctioning a bit due to the fall earlier, but she was alright nonetheless.

The sun was about to set, meaning that it was almost time for the first elimination. She sighed, not wanting her team to be the first out, but someone's gotta go.

Suddenly, she heard someone exit the game store. It was Devon, and he seemed pretty panicky.

"Oh hey, what's up?"

"I need you to vote for Paige for me." Devon immediately brought up the topic.

"And why?"

"She's just being a stubborn brat. Honestly, I don't want our team to be going down and she seems to be some sort of weight that we have to unload." Devon answered, trying to justify his reasoning.

Blaster sighed. "Okay then. I think I could do that."

"Great!" Devon chuckled, now turning to see Noel. "Hey Noel! Can you do me a quick favor?"

Noel raised an eyebrow. "How may I be of help?"

"Getting rid of Paige. She's just annoying, I don't know-"

"Well to be fair, you were quite being selfish during the challenge. Maybe a little bit. So-"

"Please?" Devon asked him. "I promise I cpuld lead the team better next time. Leading is not easy, you know."

Noel sighed. "Will do."

"Thanks!"

Sidewalk

Paige couldn't believe what she just heard. Devon was rounding up people to get rid of her.

Suddenly, Iris and Mollie caught her sight from afar as she could see the two getting first-aid kits for the team. "Guys, I'm gonna need some help."

"Voting Devon? Gladly. He's not being a good leader." Iris agreed with a little sigh.

"I don't know…" Mollie shrugged. "Well, it's to vote someone off first, you know."

"Oh well, I guess I'll just leave the vote up to you guys then." Paige hung her head low as she left the duo.

Backyard

The first elimination came by as the Beasts were now sitting on logs as they have finished voting. Blaster, Iris, Paige, and Mollie were sitting on one. Devon and Noel were on another. Arthur was sitting on the floor helping Theodore patch up from the bruises he obtained from the… large hand.

"Ow-" Theodore winced.

"Steady, young man." Arthur said, putting some ointment on a bruise on Theodore's arm.

Chris and Charlize then came to the scene with the votes already counted. Charlize was holding seven cookies on the shape of some sort of monster on a platter.

"Alright gamers." Charlize said with her usual bored look. "I have seven cookies on this plate. The one who will not receive any will be eliminated from the game."

"Now, safe with no votes are Arthur, Blaster, Iris, Noel, Mollie, and Theodore." Chris announced.

Charlize tossed the six teens their own cookies. Arthur caught his happily, Theodore's accidentally hit him on the arm causing him to wince in pain, Blaster, Iris, and Mollie all had a quick cheers with their cookies before eating them, and Noel smiled even though he didn't caught his.

Devon and Paige had a stare down at each other.

"Well, both of you, Devon and Paige, you guys kinda costed the challenge with your blabbering and you two just died at the same time." Chris laughed. "But safe with only three votes is…"

...

"...Paige!" Chris announced, throwing the archer her cookie to which she caught it happily.

"What? I don't understand." Devon facepalmed himself as he stood up. "Why did you guys voted me?"

"No hard feelings, young one. You just made mistakes you shouldn't have." Arthur patted his back.

"Yeah, we're sorry Devon." Mollie apologized.

"Ah, I see. Well I guess this ends for me now." Devon said, waving to his team, a bit disappointed that he was eliminated first. "Good luck to you all."

The rest of his team waved back at him as Charlize escorted him to the parking lot.

"Well, that was an episode." Chris said as the scene cuts to him and Charlize outside the game store.

"Yeah, whatever." She rolled her eyes. "So how will the Beasts fare out without Devon?"

"And will the Warlords continue with their new win streak?" Chris followed. "Find out next time when we return on-"

Author's notes: And now we have episode two done! Man, I really didn't want Devon to be the first boot but unfortunately, he was the best candidate in my drafts to take this spot. I really hate writing eliminations because it means I'll have to kick someone out and EVERYONE is legit so good that it's so hard to pick. T_T

I apologize that the challenge was somewhat weak, I don't want these kiddos to go down the hard route that quick lol. The challenges in the future though will get… hmm, not sure if brutal is the word, but yeah, that'll have to do. XD Also I haven't had most of them use their skills yet, since this wasn't a kind of challenge where they'll have to fight, so I'm saving the skills for later challenges. :)

I hope you guys like this episode and the challenge, though! I love writing the virtual aspect of the episodes because that's where I get to write some action. XD

That's all I've got for today, see you all soon!
