CHAPTER 76: Where The Money Falls

200013, 200014, 200015… that's that stack done.

Mj'ghj did not exactly love his job. It wasn't bad, but counting dollars and sorting them by universe wasn't the most pleasant job ever.

Still, they can't sell things if they break the economy by introducing bills that haven't even been printed yet. Or get called a counterfeiter by using repeat dollars.

It was a necessary job, it was a job with large benefits, it still was an absolutely boring slog through piles and piles of thin green paper. Or coins. Or plastic pieces, Or other colors of paper.

That's another issue, different countries have different currencies. That's not even mentioning space faring universes and all the things they use.

Electronic banking, the best thing since bread in his opinion.

Turning to the next stack, he didn't realize that his previous stack was unstable until he was buried under 50 pounds of pounds.

He laid there a moment before flowing his puddle out to a clear area of the money warehouse to resolidify.

Looking back at the mess his temporary office had become, he gave a great, frustrated sigh.

Then he noticed a memo taped to the door.

"Universe RLBB0312 has ended and all assets and merchandise removed. Enjoy liquidating. ~ Hy'gur"

Mj'ghj grinned far larger than his vaguely humanoid form had any right to.

Then whistled.

"Here boy! Here boy! Liquidation! Feeding time! SCEEee!"

He stepped to the side as the massive void creature slithered over to what once was his office and now was food for his pet.

He never lost his grin even as the delighted screeches echoed through the warehouse.

Yes, Mj'ghj did not exactly love his job. It wasn't bad, but counting dollars and sorting them by universe wasn't the most pleasant job ever.

Still, it had its moments.

"Good boy! Who's a good boy? You are! Yes you are! SCEEee!"

"SCEEEEEeeeHHAA!"

It definitely had its moments.
