A few hours later
Olivia was in the living room with Jasmine in her arms watching TV when she heard screaming coming from Riley's room.
Olivia gets up and puts Jasmine in her playpen before running into Riley's room.
When Olivia noticed that Riley was having a nightmare she ran over to Riley.
"Riley honey it's just a dream. Wake up." Olivia said
"Come on sweetheart, wake up." Olivia said
After a few tries, Riley finally woke up.
"Hey, it's okay you're safe. You were having a nightmare." Olivia said
"Do you remember what you were dreaming about?" Olivia asked.
She nodded slowly.
"Do you want to talk about it?" Olivia offered gently.
Riley shook her head vehemently.
"I am not going to make you talk to me, honey, but you're really upset and I think it might help if you did." Olivia said
"No." Riley said as she started to cry softly,
"It's ok, sweetheart," Olivia said.
"I'm gonna be sick." Riley said as she dashed on shaky legs to the bathroom. She landed on her knees in front of the toilet and after suppressing the urge for hours she finally violently vomited everything she had in her until she was spent, dry heaving and retching. She slammed her eyes shut against a harsh, fluorescent light when Olivia followed her to the bathroom and flicked the switch. She heard Olivia flush the toilet, then turn on the tap. A moment later, a cold, wet cloth was being rubbed against her neck.
"Are you alright?" Olivia asked
"Here, take this," Riley opened her eyes and with a shaking hand, took a small cup of cold water from Olivia.
"Take some slow sips," Olivia instructed.
Riley took slow sips, and as soon as the cold fluid hit the back of her throat it triggered her gag reflex, and she instantly vomited the water straight back up into the toilet.
"Easy!" Olivia chided, and she took the cup from Riley and placed it by the sink. Olivia picked up the water again and held it to Riley's lips. Riley put her hand around the cup, but Olivia didn't release it to her this time, instead, she helped Riley take a small sip by steadying her still shaking hand.
"That's better," Olivia said when Riley swallowed a small amount of the water and kept it down.
"Are you going to be sick again?" Olivia asked
"I don't think so," Riley's voice was raspy, her throat sore and burnt by her stomach acid. Olivia helped her to her feet. Olivia picked up Riley's toothbrush and put some toothpaste on it for her.
"Here you go," Olivia passed her the toothbrush and Riley did her best to brush her teeth. When she was done, she followed Olivia back out of the bathroom.
Riley was about to climb back into bed when Jasmine started crying.
"No, you lay down and rest. I will take care of Jasmine." Olivia said as she walked out.
Olivia walked into the living room.
"Hi baby girl, are you hungry?" Olivia asked as she picked up Jasmine.
Jasmine just smiled.
Then she walked into the kitchen to make Jasmine her bottle.
Ten minutes later
Once Olivia was done feeding Jasmine, Jasmine fell asleep and Olivia put Jasmine in her nursery. Once she put Jasmine in her nursery Olivia went to check on Riley. Riley was fast asleep in bed. Olivia walked over to Riley and kissed her forehead. Before she walked out of the room.
A few hours later
Olivia called Lucy to see if she could pick Noah up from school and If she could watch him for the rest of the day so Olivia could watch Riley.
Bedtime
Riley has been sleeping for a while.
Olivia was working on some work and eating when Riley walked into the living room.
"Hey, sweetheart, how are you feeling?" Olivia asked as Riley walked over to the couch.
"Better." Riley said
"Are you hungry? I made some fried rice." Olivia said
Riley just shocked her head.
"I think you should eat some, you have not eaten since this morning." Olivia said
"Fine but can I have a little bit please." Riley said
"Sure." Olivia said as she got up and walked onto the kitchen.
A few minutes later Olivia walked back into the living room with a small bowl of fried rice and handed it to Riley.
"Here you go." Olivia said
"Thanks." Riley said
A few seconds later
"So since you get expelled from school we will have to find a different school." Olivia said
"And I know the perfect one." Riley said
"What is it?" Olivia asked
"Ridgeview high school." Riley said
"That is a private school." Olivia said
"I know that and it is also one of the best schools in New York." Riley said
"I don't know, private school costs a lot of money." Olivia said
"I know but I could easily get a scholarship for the rest of this school year. Before I met you I was researching different schools and I came across Ridgeview high school. Both my principle Bishop and Mrs. G said that, Ridgeway would be a great school for me and that i could get a scholarship but since Mr. Johnson or Dinea did not want to go to a private school." Riley said
"Why do you want to go to Ridgeview?" Olivia asked
"Because it is the best school and I kind of went to their Elementary school so i know the principle there." Riley said
"Okay i will think about it." Olivia said
"Okay, also where is Noah?" Riley asked
"Oh he is spending the night with Lucy." Olivia said
"Oh." Riley said as she started hearing Jasmine.
Riley got up and walked into Jasmine's room.
"Well hello baby girl. What are you doing up at this time?" Riley said as she picked up Jasmien from her crib.
Jasmine just smiled at Riley.
"Well you're not going back to bed anytime soon are you baby girl." Riley said
And Jasmine just smiled.
"Okay, how about we do some belly time for a little bit." Riley said as she got out one of Jasmine's blankets and place it on the floor.
A few seconds later
Riley's phone started to ring.
"Hello." Riley said as she put her phone on speaker so she could play with Jasmine.
"Hey, Riles, how are you doing?" Jackson asked
"Okay. Jackson, can you tell time." Riley said
"Yes but you never pick up my call eraly." Jackson said
"I'm sorry but I was sleeping." Riley said
"Okay, so how are you doing?" Jackson said
"Okay, but I really don't want to talk about school." Riley said
"Okay, then whose baby was that you were holding?" Jackson said
"That is something I will tell you and the boys soon but right now I'm busy." Riley said
"Okay, love you." Jackson said
"Love you too." Riley said as she hung up the phone.
"Okay missy it time to get you to bed." Riley said as she put Jasmine in her crib.
Riley stayed in Jasmine's room until Jasmine fell asleep.
"Night baby good. Mommy loves you." Riley said as she kissed the top of her forehead.
Riley walked out of the room.
"I'm going back to bed." Riley told Olivia.
Wait there's one more thing I want to ask you." Olivia said
"Okay," Riley said, nervous.
"Can I see your arms Riley?" Olivia said concurringly.
"Why?" Riley asked
"I just want to make sure that you are not cutting yourself again." Olivia said
"What? I'm not cutting myself." Riley said as she backed a little bit back.
"Riley, I just want to help you." Olivia said
Riley rolled her eyes before she pulled up her sleeves and showed Olivia her wrist.
Olivia saw the new cuts on Riley's wrist.
"Baby girl, why are you doing this to yourself?" Olivia asked
"I dunno." Riley said as tears rolled down her face.
"How long have you been cutting yourself sweetheart?" Olivia asked
"For six years." Riley mumbled
"What?" Olivia asked.
"I said a year!" Riley said.
"Because of Mr. Johnson?" Olivia asked
Riley just nodded her head.
"Baby girl come here." Olivia said as she pulled Riley into a hug.
"Are you gonna make me stop?" Riley asked.
"I can't make you stop, so I will be checking your arms and I want you to give me everything you're cutting with and if you feel like cutting, I want you to talk to me." Olivia said.
Riley nodded.
"Ok." She simply said.
Olivia held for a little bit longer until Riley fell asleep. Once Riley fell asleep she put Riley to bed before getting ready for bed.
