Disclaimer: Still don't own it

Chuck greeted the group cheerily upon their arrival ushering them down a set of stairs hidden near the back of the gym . At the bottom of the passageway was a large room consisting of a living room, dining and kitchen area. Chuck smiled at their stunned looks and showed them the bathroom and sleeping quarters. After they all claimed a bed and put away the groceries they sat in the living room around a coffee table in the middle of the room. They stared at Ash tensely wondering why they had to leave in such a hurry with no explanation, Chuck was standing off to the side also curious as to why they were traveling so cautiously.

Ash sunk into his chair all of the confidence he had found earlier dissipated in an instant when he came into contact with the several pairs of expectant eyes. He quaked in his seat wondering how he was going to explain what had been happening to him for the past year. Just the thought of his father finding out intensified his shaking, Ash couldn't help but flinch when he felt a hand on his knee. He refocused on the room in front of him and found Misty crouching next to him looking conflicted. He gave her a shaky smile and squeezed her hand, before trying to explain himself.

"I-I haven't been honest with you guys," he spoke softly to the point where only Misty could hear him.

"What do you mean Ash?" Misty furrowed her brow in confusion as her friend began to shake harder than before, he looked like he was fighting to stay conscious.

"What if I told you it hasn't just been us traveling this past year?" Ash paused to take in the looks of confusion flash across everyones faces.

"Who else could've been with us?" Misty pondered his question looking back on when they first left the Pokémon center. Ash always seemed to have boundless amounts of energy but he seemed to become jumpier after they left the center, she chalked it up to his awareness training and didn't think more of it throughout their first year of traveling until she noticed him acting weird throughout their second year of traveling. Ash seemed to be drained of energy everyday, he started hanging by himself more and stopped joining them for dinner.

She tried to spend more time with him thinking he was jealous of her and Kaden but the more she tried, the further he pulled away. When Ash and Paul had broken up, he acted like he was dying but didn't make a move to reconnect to the other boy. She could tell their split hurt him but she couldn't get him to tell her why it had happened. She never gave up on him knowing her friend was in pain but after Kaden died Ash didn't shed a tear and it drove a wedge further into their friendship.

Mistys stomach churned with guilt knowing she pushed further away from her best friend because of her own grief and anger. She chewed on her bottom lip in anticipation as anxiety constricted her lungs, she was scared of what Ash might say next, the churning in her gut became worse with his next words.

"Someone from our past," he vaguely gestured between him and his mother while running a clammy hand through his hair, "has been following us around for over a year," Ash wrung his hands together nervously while looking at his lap. "The m-man following us h-hass been," Ash took a dry swallow trying to keep the memories from taking over, he squeezed Misty's hand tight in response to her gentle squeeze, he was grateful for her tender touch, it helped him dissociate from the unforgiving memories. "H-he's been-" Ash felt like he was speaking with a mouth full of peanut butter.

His vision was spotty and he felt like he couldn't stop sweating while a dull throb became known near his left temple, whispers of don't tell kept flitting across his mind scape as he struggled to speak through the trauma telling him he'd regret it. Tears of frustration welled in his eyes as his windpipe only let out a pitiful whimper in response to his struggles. Misty was alarmed at his sudden mood shift and slowly brought her hand up to cup Ash's cheek. He shuddered at the touch but allowed her to lift his head up so he was staring into her eyes.

Misty felt tears of her own drip down her cheeks as she was finally able to witness the amount of fear and trauma present in her friends eyes up close, she quickly pulled ash into a hug and held onto him with a death grip, sobs wracked her body as she begged Ash to tell them, they want to help him, it was terrifying seeing one of the strongest boys she knew reduced into a crying shaking mess. Ash withdrew from her embrace and scrubbed at his eyes, taking shallow breaths to calm his breathing, when he opened his eyes he saw everyone staring at him with tears of their own making their eyes murky with despair. He strengthens his resolve and said in a low breathless voice,

"H-he's been hurting m-m-mee," everyone in the room froze, not sure what they had been expecting from the boy, he continued when no one interrupted him, "He used to hurt me a lot when I was a kid too, but I never told mom because he threatened to kill both of us if anyone ever found out." Nobody said a word waiting for him to continue, his mom was shaking in anger but needed more answers.

"Ash honey," He turned his head towards his mom fear flashing through his eyes which sent a pang of hurt through her heart, she braved on, "What do you mean he's been hurting you?" Ash pulled his knees up to his chest and wrapped his arms around them shaking even harder as he spoke, "I found out what he was doing to me was wrong around the same time I was supposed to start as a trainer, and the word I discovered makes me want to throw up every time it happens," Ash's pants legs became wet as he buried his head in them muffling his next words, everyone looked at each other in confusion not understanding what he'd said. Misty had retreated back to her chair sensing Ash didn't want anymore contact when he hugged his legs, but she regretted it now unable to hear the distraught boy.

"We can't hear you pipsqueak, how are we supposed to help?" Emerald gently prodded from across the table. Ash didn't lift his head but they heard him loud and clear the second time he practically screamed, "He's been raping me!" Sending everyone into a state of shock and horror one collective thought on their mind.

"WHAT THE FUCK!?"
