Chapter 8: The Chaos Emerald of Invisibility
Sonic, Tails and Amy skid to a halt on a wrecked ship.
Amy: So what did you mean about time traveling? Aren't the Chaos Emeralds in this time?
Sonic: Sorry sis. The Chaos Emeralds we are getting are all in the past.
Tails: Professor Caninestein gave us a time traveling skateboard to travel through time to stop Robotnik to get the 4 Emeralds that are in different points in time.
Amy: Well, why are we on a ruined pirate ship?
Sonic: There's a friend that can help us.
Suddenly, a laser was shot at Sonic but nearly missed thanks to Tails pushing him out of the way.
Flying Swatbot: Priority one hedgehog!
Sonic: Hey! Man, it's been forever since I have smashed these bots.
Tails: Do you know how to activate the stones?
Amy: Yes. I don't want to activate it with the bots attacking though.
Sonic: You ready to smash some bots, sibs?
Tails: You bet!
Amy: Always.
Sonic, Tails and Amy start smashing robots left and right. For them, this is a regular day with badniks trying to attack them. Snively, looking at this play out through his spy orb is devastated. These bots were made to withstand attacks, but they were being sliced through like Cheddar.
Snively: NO! I won't be defeated!
Naugus: Do you need me to attack?
Snively: No. It's not the right time. I'll send in my new robot. Lizard bot. You're up.
At that time, the siblings had finished up what they thought were all the bots.
Sonic: You ready sis?
Amy: I need a date.
Sonic: Pirate times. Around 1700
Amy focuses on the time stone. Bringing Sonic, Tails, her and lizard bot to the year 1700.
Sonic, Tails and Amy appear on one of the stairs to the higher section of the ship. They look on to see a flesh pirate at the helm.
Blackbeard: Ye ho ho and a bottle of…
Suddenly the pirate's beard starts shocking
Blackbeard: What in shark's breath?
The pirate looks behind him to hear a prominent yell of a robot chicken. Blackbeard looks on off the side for a bit before Robotnik, Scratch and Grounder appear in a time machine on a table. Robotnik has a squid on face before Grounder gets it off.
Sonic: *whispering* We're a little too early. C'mon Ames.
Amy: *whispering* Alright, I'll try Ag- gah.
Lizard bot: Oh no you don't, pinky.
Sonic: *whispering* Put her down.
Robotnik: I understand, you have a treasure map showing the location of a certain large emerald.
Lizard bot tackles Sonic. Sonic tries to keep the sound down, but is unable to control Lizard bot.
Robotnik: What's all that racket about?
Lizard bot camouflages himself so he's not seen. Amy is unconscious, Tails' head is in a barrel, and Sonic is on the ground on all fours.
Robotnik: Sonic?! Scratch! Grounder! Take em away!
Scratch: Aye aye your disgustingness.
Scratch and Grounder tie up Sonic, Tails and Amy in a chain and lock them up with a keyhole. They are then put in the bottom of the ship.
Tails: What happened? I can't see anything.
Sonic: Buttnik heard our racket and captured us.
Tails: And you couldn't have done something about it?
Sonic: I was stunned by that robot's attacks.
Tails: Amy, you there? You're not saying anything.
Sonic: Amy, wake up! *He kicks his leg on the floor* Wake up!
Amy: *slowly waking up* huh? What happened?
Sonic: Robuttnik from the past locked us up?
Amy: You mean the timeline was changed?
Tails: Yeah, but that's not how time works, we're creating a new timeline instead of overwriting the already existing one.
Amy: Good, I was not wanting to disappear anytime soon. But how are we going to get out of here?
Sonic: I know exactly how to get out of here. It's about to happen, right about now.
Scene: In the time flow
AOSTH Sonic: Hang on, Tails. Time to hit the warp brakes.
Scene: Back on the ship
Robotnik: Head to East, till we get to Shark Island.
Captain Bot: Aye captain.
Just then, AOSTH Sonic and Tails rocket into the sail of the pirate ship. The sail falls down on Robotnik, Captain bot and Grounder.
Robotnik: What was that?
Scratch helps Robotnik out of the sail.
Scratch: Fighter Jet?
Robotnik: There's no jets in the days of pirates, you idiot!
Robotnik punches Scratch over. Grounder lifts up the sail off of him noticing the Sonic shaped hole.
Grounder: Uh oh, I think I know who it *he stars mockingly saying* was.
Robotnik: Who?
Grounder rises the sail into its rightful place.
Robotnik: No! It can't be! How did Sonic escape?
Hearing the scene from on the top of the ship, Sonic, Amy and Tails start calling for help.
Sonic: Help!
Tails: We're trapped down here!
Back on the railings of the tippy top of the ship, AOSTH Sonic and Tails hear the racket down below.
AOSTH Tails: That must be the crew. We gotta save them.
AOSTH Sonic: I'll deal with these bozos, you go save the crew.
Robotnik: Oh no you don't! Blast that blue beast to the bottom of the sea!
Grounder: With pleasure.
Scratch and Grounder run over to the cannon on the ship to blast Sonic
Scratch: Ready! Aim! Fire!
AOSTH Sonic: Hit the Deck, Tails!
The cannonball hits one of the parts of the ship. The part flies and bonks Robotnik down mostly inside the ship.
Sonic: Let's not stare at Robotnik's but.
Tails: Yeah, that's gross.
AOSTH Sonic is sitting on some barrels behind Robotnik. Scratch and Grounder notice him and launch a cannonball.
Grounder: There he is!
The cannonball is launched. AOSTH Sonic is so bored with the cannonball business.
AOSTH Sonic: Waiting for cannonballs is SOOO boring.
Amy: Really? You were so full of it!
Tails: At least you didn't have to bear with it every day for like 3 years.
Sonic: I'm right here you know!
Scratch and Grounder lose sight of AOSTH Sonic
Scratch: Where'd he go?
AOSTH Sonic opens up a hatch nearby them.
AOSTH Sonic: Here I am
Scratch and Grounder yell
Scratch: Fire!
At that moment, AOSTH Tails finds Sonic, Tails and Amy chained up together.
AOSTH Tails: Don't worry, I got you!
AOSTH Tails picks the lock and they are all freed. He's a little confused, and Sonic could tell.
Sonic: Don't worry, we're good. Amy, it's time to go!
Amy: Alright, lets- she notices that the stone is gone. Where did it go?
Tails: It's probably with the lizard bot.
Suddenly Blackbot drops down and snatches AOSTH Tails and the 3 siblings. They are quickly tied up and backing up on the plank.
AOSTH Tails: Sonic!
Sonic: I got this.
Sonic starts spin dashing Blackbot, but not enough to destroy him, as he knows Blackbot becomes a friend afterwards. [1]
AOSTH Sonic is confused to say the least. He is seeing a double of himself. Even though he notices a power difference. He couldn't top this new Sonic's power.
AOSTH Sonic: Now this is weird. Did we fail so we came back? Who's that girl hedgehog?
AOSTH Sonic jumps down giving Blackbot a kick to the back.
AOSTH Sonic: Need some help?
Sonic: Not really. I just wish I could use my full power.
Sonic is jumping left and right kicking Blackbot every chance he gets. All of a sudden, Lizard bot comes leaping at Sonic. Giving signal for AOSTH Sonic to be fighting Blackbot.
Robotnik: Now this is getting interesting. I don't remember building that robot, but if he's against Sonic, then I am all for it.
Sonic is piled on by Lizard bot, but is pushing up trying to get back up.
Sonic: Grr. I know you have that Time Stone.
Sonic tries pushing so much, he gets up and attacks with all his force that he ends up accidentally homing attacking him, destroying him. The Time Stone is dropped on the floor, right before Amy picks it up and puts it back on.
Tails: Wish we could chat but less time with you, the better.
Sonic: Ready Ames?
Amy: Got it!
Robotnik: Scratch! Grounder! Get that other Sonic!
Scratch: Aye Aye!
Sonic quickly homing attacks Scratch and Grounder and returns to his siblings right before Amy activates the stone.
Scene: Time Stream
Amy: Well that was close
Tails: Tell me about it. I've had so many close calls with those two
Sonic: Wait where are we?
Amy: We are in the time stream. I accidentally went to this place when trying out my necklace.
Tails: We weren't here when we jumped to 1700. Why now?
Amy: This is because I tried jumping without a specific time in mind.
The time stream doesn't look like what it used to be. It was very bright, like a sphere showing different moments in time. Looking around, Sonic and Tails find the point in time they were looking for.
Tails: There!
Tails points over to the left, with a scene at the beach where Sonic and Tails are putting the emerald back. Presumably after the fight with Supreme High Robotnik. Sonic, Amy and Tails jump in and tumble on the beach.
Sonic: Well that was strange. Anyway, time to dig!
Sonic jumps and spins dashes down to uncover the chest. Tails jumps down to grab the chest and fly it up. Amy opens the chest seeing nothing in here.
Amy: Uh Sonic, there is nothing in here.
Sonic: Au contraire sis, just watch.
Sonic grabs the emerald and instantly disappears. Amy is appropriately concerned.
Amy: What just happened!?
Tails pulls out a tissue and Sonic reappears putting the emerald in it.
Tails: This is the emerald of Invisibility, whoever touches it, is immediately invisible.
Tails puts the emerald in Hammerspace
Amy: *chuckles* Well that's handy.
Sonic: One emerald down, four to go.
Amy: When are we off to next?
Tails: 1150 A.D.
Sonic: But first.
Sonic grabs Tails and Amy, and speeds off to where the knights live.
Meanwhile in the present
A computer goes from showing the word "Active" to "Decommissioned"
Snively: Gah! Those hedgehogs and that fox are so persistent.
Naugus: Perhaps, it's time for me to handle them?
Snively: Fine! Just don't let yourself get captured!
Naugus, feeling the energy of the time stone, travels to it's point in time and point in space.
