It's now Tuesday, the day after RAW. None of the boys have called or texted me, and I can't blame them. I never lose it on them, but last night I lost it badly.
"Sweetheart, they'll come to you." I look over to Carmella, my roommate.
"You don't get it. I don't argue with those boys, we agree to disagree."
"Okay, so that just means this was long over-due." Her bed creaks as she gets up and goes to the bathroom, leaving the door cracked. "Jasmine, it's going to be fine."
"I don't know Mella. I yelled at them. I saw Seth flinch. I've never made him flinch." I sigh as I sit up on my bed. "It was bad."
I hear no response and sigh. A bit later, Carmella walks out in her ring gear. She walks over to her bag and pulls out a pair of sweats and a matching hoodie before putting them on over her gear.
She sits on the edge of my bed. "All friends fight. It's so rare to see you fight with any of the trio." I groan as I stand up. "I know it was nasty, you told me everything. But you have to understand that they're upset too! You didn't reach out to them, or anyone!"
"They didn't reach out to me either," I say softly. "You and the girls did. Neither one of the guys even tried. I needed them, but they didn't care."
"Oh Jas… that's not what it was. You guys will get over this."
"I don't know, Mella.. The looks on their faces before I walked out… I might have lost them forever." Carmella looks to me with a sad face before I walk to the bathroom. "Look, we have to be at the arena soon. You're already dressed under your sweats. I'll grab my gear and we can go."
We get to the arena and I walk into the trio's locker room, having beaten them here. I strip before carefully putting on a pair of fishnets followed by my high-waisted ring bottoms. I struggle putting on my gold chest piece that has a black lace and mesh overlay. I shove my feet into my golden ring boots, and grab my gold lace mask before making my way to make-up.
Nina curls my hair after giving me a black smokey eyes and a golden metallic lip. I thank her and walk out of the room, right into Finn.
"Oh, sorry babe. Didn't see you there," I say as I come to a stop.
He grins at me. "No worries lass. What are ya up to?"
"I'm on the way up to the front. Walk with me?"
He wraps an arm around my shoulder and starts guiding us to the front. "So, uh, how's the trio lass?"
I sigh. "We got into an argument last night. It was really awful honestly."
"I'm sure it wasn't that bad, love." He gives my shoulder a gentle squeeze of reassurance.
"I made Seth flinch. The other two had just walked in, ready to go. They didn't try to stop it, they just took a seat. I was loud."
"I can make you louder," Finn whispers into my ear as we keep walking. I couldn't help but laugh. We get to the front and he sits down, pulling me on his lap. "Speaking of which, my room tonight?"
I yawn as I nod. "That sounds like a plan, babe." A look I can't quite recognize crosses his face as he looks away from me. "What is it?"
He brings his attention to me. "Lass, this might not be the best time, but we need to figure out what we are. Don't ya think?" I just stare at him, not quite sure what I was feeling. "What?"
I softly chuckle. "I don't know. I just-" I sigh. "I'm me, and you're you. We're… us." His face lights up a little as I lean up, pressing a quick kiss to his lips. "And us… well, we're together, aren't we?"
"I'd like that love," he whispers to me.
The show has been going for a while. I had a jobber match and am now currently watching Ember Moon face off against Bayley in a title match. I'm standing by the curtain, still in my gear, waiting for my cue. All I'm doing is walking out. Ember will play off the distraction and win the match, and I'll climb in the ring standing face to face with her. We're basically just going to keep teasing our Mania match.
Finally I'm given my cue and my music drops as I walk out. I stop at the top of the ramp where Bayley is staring me down, calling me out. The crowd is going insane as Ember comes from behind Bayley and rolls her up. I make my way to the ring as the ref counts. The bell rings at the three, and Bayley rolls out glaring at both Ember and I.
I chuckle as I climb into the ring, standing dead center toe to toe with Ember. We just stare at each other before I nod and walk around her. I come to a stop in front of her again, and nod again. I point at her title. "It's coming home to me."
"In your dreams!"
I couldn't help but nod. "In my favor then." I point at the sign. "That's the dream baby." I let my hand fall before I get out the ring and make my way back up the ramp. When I get to the top, I turn around and face the ring, spreading my arms wide with my palms facing the ceiling. It was barely an interaction, but the crowd loved it. I drop my arms and turn back around, before walking right through the curtain.
Finn pulls me to him immediately in a hug, causing me to chuckle. "God, I love watching you out there love. In the ring or not, you're quite special love." He releases the hug and keeps an arm around me as we're walking.
I couldn't help but laugh. "Oh it was nothing Finny." We walk into catering, which is almost empty.
He takes a seat in a chair and I opt to sit on the table we're at. I softly hum as I cross one leg over the other and Finn rests one of his hands on my knee. "It might seem like nothing to you but I can promise it was great."
I smile down at him. "Thank you darling." I look away and start surveying the unusually quiet room, frowning slightly.
"Still worried about the trio," he asks as he starts gently rubbing my knee with his thumb. I hum softly as I nod. "What'd you lot argue about anyways?"
I sigh before looking down at him. "I told Seth what I said to Mandy during my match with her. He said I've been too hard on her and I told him to shut the fuck up because he doesn't know what I've been going through. The other two walked in as he said that maybe he'd know if I told him or reached out to him while I was gone and…"
Finn nods. "It led into you telling them it's a two way street there."
I nod now. "Then I went into how none of them made the effort and even though Mandy betrayed me, she at least made an effort." I sigh. "It was bad. The trio and I don't fight, and I never yell at them but last night…" I shake my head before going back to looking around catering.
"They'll come to you when they're ready, lass." I shrug. "They will. But until they do, why don't we focus on what else we're doing." I look back down to him. "You're on your way to main-eventing WrestleMania, going after gold and amazing the crowd every time you step onto that canvas."
I couldn't help but laugh lightly. "And you're about to be entering the intercontinental title scene, putting on matches that make every girl weak."
He chuckles, squeezing my knee gently. "Exactly love. The trio…" He sighs and his hand leaves my knee. He won't quite meet my eyes. "The trio will come around," he says finally as he looks towards the door. He chuckles. "Here's one now."
I look at the door to see Dean making his way to us. I look down at Finn, who squeezes my knee reassuringly.
"Jasmine, can we talk alone?" I look at Dean as Finn gets up and makes his way to the door where he stops, leaning against the doorframe now on his phone. Dean sighs as he sits where Finn was. "You know we care about you, right?"
"It didn't feel like it." I look away, searching the room to see who all was around. "I was gone, and none of you tried reaching out. I didn't reach out to you guys because I wanted you all to focus. You guys were rolling so well when I left. Everyone I was in contact with, reached out to me first. We talked about you guys… and I thought about y'all." I shake my head softly before looking back down at him. "But it didn't feel like you guys wanted to hear from me."
I could see how that broke his heart. "We always want to hear from you." He frowns softly. "That's not even what the argument was about."
I sigh. "No, it's not. As much as I love Seth, I think he's wrong here." Dean nods at my statement. "Mandy… betrayed me. My own blood. If this was any of you guys, you'd feel the same way as me. And for whatever reason, it doesn't seem like Seth can see that. Let me ask… do you agree with him?"
Dean pauses. "I think you were harsh. But, I do think it's justified. I see where both of you are coming from." He sighs and I look down. "I'm sorry if I ever made you feel unwanted."
Without another word I stand up and pull him to his feet, just to throw my arms around him in a hug. He doesn't even hesitate before he returns it. Dean has said it himself, we're probably closer than Seth and myself. Dean is my big brother-best friend. We pull away and I can tell any issues between him and I are resolved.
I sigh again as we both take our seats again. "If only the others were this easy." I look up to the door and see Roman beside Finn. The two are talking and I shake my head. "Thank you Dean, for coming to me."
He nods. "Maybe you'll need to go to Seth. Ro told me you guys talked briefly already when you first came back."
I nod. "We did, but I think we need to chat again," I say as I look back down to Dean.
A silence falls for a few minutes before someone clears their throat. I look up and see Roman. "Hey Jasmine, Dean."
Dean stands up. "I think that's my cue." He looks at me. "Just remember what we talked about." I nod and he leaves, letting Roman take his seat.
"Ro-"
"Actually, Jas, if you don't mind I'd like to talk." I close my mouth and nod. "You are being harsh on her. But, it's not just her. You've been off since you came back, seeming to snap at everyone. I'm not saying it's without reason, because I know you have a reason. I might not know much about that reason, but I know you have one." He sighs. "It seemed like you shut people out, us more than anyone. And it hurt us Jasmine. I know you didn't want to be hounded about it, but that's all you had to tell us."
I sigh as I look away. "I didn't want to talk to anyone. But the people I was in contact with, contacted me first. You guys didn't make any effort and it made me feel unwanted. You want to know something," I ask him as I look back to him. He raises an eyebrow. "I talked to the girls about you. I missed you guys. You know that I missed you." He nods. "But, it didn't feel like you guys missed me."
"We will always miss you when you're not around Jas. You're family to us. I'm sorry I made you feel that way."
I nod before sighing. "Seth-"
"Is Seth," Roman cuts me off. "He doesn't want you breaking ties that you might want back later on."
"I don't think this is a bond I'll want back," I say with a sigh. "I don't think I'll ever be able to trust her again."
There's a short pause before Roman gets up and sighs. "That's the thing, Jas. You think that." I raise an eyebrow. "But you don't know that."
His words start to sink in and I slowly nod. I stand up and hug him similarly to how I had just hugged Dean. "Thanks big dog."
He laughs as we pull apart. "So what are you gonna do?"
"I think… I think it's time I find Seth."
A/N: I really enjoy getting to write the interaction between Jas and the trio. Even with the hell surrounding her, she's well grounded and it's because of them. I just wonder if they'll be enough in the coming chapters... *insert evil chuckle*
