Over the next few months of Alex being with SVU, things were tense and felt like they all had to walk on eggshells around Olivia and Alex when they were in the squad room.

There had been a huge fight after they had lost the case, and Alex blamed Olivia. She had gotten too invested, and blew the case. Alex continued with it going to trial, and yet another scumbag roamed the streets.

"I don't know where you get off thinking you can run MY case!" Alex yelled at the brunette.

Olivia laughed, but she was seething with anger. "YOUR case?" She hissed. "You're only here because of family ties! Must be nice to walk your way into an ADA role." She growled.

She was pissed that Alex had thrown the blame on her, and she was even more pissed at herself for saying those words. Olivia really admired Alex's hard work, and she knew that she worked her ass off to get to where she was.

Olivia sighed and closed her eyes. "Alex.. I'm sorry, I just…"

"Just know how to make me feel good, huh?" Alex spit back. "Goodnight, Detective." Alex shook her head and pushed herself past Olivia.

"Alex!" Olivia tried to go after her to apologize, make things right. Elliot grabbed Olivia's arm and looked at her.

"She knows you didn't mean it. There were a lot of feelings involved in this case, and we all screwed up here. Now we need to work on how to fix it, and how to get this bastard behind bars."

Elliot always knew how to talk Olivia down. They had been partners for a few years now, and he always had her back. He had his suspicions about Alex and Olivia's "friendship, but he didn't dare bring any of those thoughts to words.

Alex cleared her throat as she walked into the squad room, and they turned to greet the blonde.

"Arrest warrant. Violation of parole. Go get him." Alex gently ordered and locked eyes with Olivia.

The brunette felt her cheeks turn red and her stomach turn over. She wasn't sure what it was about the ADA that made her so nervous. Olivia had her fair share of relationships, hookups so to say, with women throughout her college years and early into her twenties. She never saw herself identify as a lesbian, or bisexual, she was just having fun. But that was until she met Alex.

Alex made her question herself every day. The first few weeks of Alex being introduced to the squad, she had dreams, fantasies, about her. She would wake up in a cold sweat and tossed and turned for the remainder of the evening. Olivia couldn't deny it; Alex was stunning. Long blonde hair, legs for days, and baby blues that you wanted to get lost in forever.

"Detective, walk me out?" Alex asked, looking at Olivia still who nodded slowly. She glanced over at Elliot who shrugged and grabbed his jacket and headed out with Fin.

"Alex.." Olivia sighed as she walked her to the elevator. "I'm so sorry… For how I reacted, the things I said to you.."

Alex smiled a little. "I accept your apology, and I know that I'm not that easy to work with, and I know I come off strong. I was raised by lawyers and politicians. I was raised to stand my ground, and know I'm always right." She grinned, earning a laugh from Olivia.

Liv rolled her eyes and put her hand out for a truce. Alex declined the handshake and wrapped her arms around the shorter woman's neck and hugged her.

Olivia was taken back a little, but willingly hugged her back, allowing herself to relax in her arms.

It felt like a lifetime in each other's arms when another orderly walked by and made them realize their surroundings.

"Can I buy you a drink later?" Olivia asked softly and looked at Alex.

Alex blushed a little and smiled, "Are you asking me out?" She laughed, which made Olivia's eyes widen with nervousness. "Whoa, calm down, I was kidding. A drink would be nice." Alex smiled.

Olivia shook her head, "I didn't mean to react that way… I, uh.. Yes. I am asking you out." She couldn't lie. The fantasies of being wrapped up in her arms over and over took control of her. Olivia' wasn't going to hide her feelings, or the fact that she was the utter most attracted to Alex in every single way possible.

Alex blushed and bit her lip. "I'll see you tonight then." She smiled and got onto the elevator.
