When I was a kid, I always liked to hear the same story that my dad, Ignus, a strong and brave Charizard, used to tell me:

"A long time ago, Pokemon and humans did not get along. It was nothing personal, but humans believed that we were their enemies because, according to them, we attacked them for no reason. However, the truth is that humans declared war earlier, when they destroyed our forests to build their cities. Then, one night, we and other Pokemon groups attacked a factory under construction with humans inside. When we drove them away, we burned it down completely. Fortunately, and however, We realized that a small human baby was alive. Some Pokemon did not know what to do, but in the end, we felt sorry for him and let him live. All because there was a prophecy from our world that said that one day humans and Pokemon would get along "

"And then you had me" I finished the story, wagging my lit tail. My dad smiled and replied:

"Yeah, and soon after we had you my little Charmander" he said as he rubbed his face against mine.

"And we decided to call you Alex" added my mom, Agni, as she cooked on one side of our cave.

"Yeah, and that was a nice name" said my dad, "Your mom chose it, and I couldn't agree more"

"Dad ... what happened to the human baby? Did he go back to his family?" I asked out of curiosity.

My father saw me with a worried face, as did my mother. I think it was not a good question.

"It's ... yeah, we think he went back to his family" he said after a slight sigh.

"Well enough stories you two" said my mom, "Come on, it's time for lunch."

"The best idea of the day, let's go son," my dad told me, and we went to our log table.

My mother always cooked delicious: apart from the Pokemon, there were other creatures without intelligence called 'birds', some were chubby and others thin, which we sometimes ate. But there were also terrestrial animals like deer or rabbits, which we had to be careful to hunt because they looked like a Buneary or Sawsbuck. That was exactly what we were having for lunch: venison. I ate my portion very gratefully and because my mother was the best with the fire in the kitchen.

After eating, my dad was getting ready for his daily check of the woods and mountains. Being the leader of Charizards, he had to ensure the safety of various Pokemon that lived in a large area. I always wanted to go, but always said it would be dangerous.

From outside my cave, a friend's voice came to come out of my cave to play: his name was Dash, he was a Squirtle. Although very different, we were good friends. Our parents had been rivals and friends, for while my dad did aerial surveys, Dash's dad did aquatic surveys, each his specialty.

"I'm going!" I screamed from within. I started to go out, but my mom came between me and the entrance.

"Alex, your father and I haven't said you can go out" she said.

"I'm sorry. Uh ... please mom?" said.

"Ok. But your dad has the last word" she replied pointing to dad, who was also about to leave.

"Please dad" I implored him.

"Sure my champion, but remember to come back early" he said smiling.

"I will, thank you" I said and got out as fast as I could.

"Good! I thought you wouldn't make it" said Dash, who was waiting for me outside.

"Sorry, you know how parents are" I said. Suddenly, some vines covered my eyes.

"Guess what, who am I?" said a voice. I didn't have to think long to find the answer.

"Flora"

"You discovered me" the vines were removed, and they returned to their owner: a Chikorita named Flora, whose mother was the natural arts nurse in the field of flowers.

The two of them, Dash and Flora, were my best friends, although there was also another Pokemon that I considered more than a friend ... 1

"Hi guys! Am I late?" said a voice, which made me nervous.

"Hi Ember" said Flora, "No friend, you are just in time, Alex has just arrived too"

Another Charmander joined us. Apart from the gender difference between her and me, she always wore a pink cloth around her neck, and she had very pretty blue eyes. Her parents and mine were very good friends and comrades. She looked at me and greeted me:

"Hi Alex, ready to play?"

"H-hi Ember. Yes all set" I replied nervously.
