Chapter One

Earth 17

Boston, Massachusetts

"Sydney, I swear to Chuck if you don't get your ass down here with shoes and a backpack in the next two minutes I'm leaving you!" Kade yelled up the stairwell of their apartment building.

"I'm coming! Just because my car is at my shop doesn't mean I can't walk two blocks!" Syd yelled down the stairwell while throwing her shoes to the bottom.

Kade rolled her eyes. "Then walk two blocks, Walker! It's literally your last name!" Kade side stepped, dodging the brush that came flying down the staircase.

"Geronimo!" Syd threw her backpack over her shoulder and jumped on the railing, sliding to the bottom. "Boom. I just totally just outsmarted the whole dilemma with the elevator. You are welcome." Syd said with a smug smile decorating her features.

"Why'd you throw the brush?" Kade had a skeptical look on her face. "Also, you woke up two minutes ago, how are you ready to go?"

Syd simply shrugged as she tipped her head to put her dark hair in a quick ponytail.

"You know what? Why am I even surprised?" Kade started after Syd, trying to catch up.

"What's got you so stiff?" Syd asked nonchalantly while walking across a busy street in Boston.

"Stiff?" Kade sent an annoyed look towards Syd who didn't seem to notice it. She blew out a sigh "I have an audition today. And I have to get this role or you will be stuck with me forever!" Kade walked across the street.

"Drop me off a block from my school. Then you'll get to the audition faster and I won't be seen in your lame car." Syd said as she pulled her seat belt over her chest.

"Ladybug is the most amazing car that's been made...besides Baby, but you don't see cars like that anymore. So back off." Kade added a sharp edge to her voice to get the point across.

"Hey, Baby is amazing! Just because you prefer a car with 77 PS horsepower like a toy car, does not mean you have to attack the Impala. She's Gorgeous and you know it!" Syd snipped back." Besides Babe is just as great."

"Well, who's car is broken down right now?" Kade smirked knowing Syd wasn't going to answer. "So you are stuck with me in this, what did you call it? Right, Toy car."

"You're about to be cut off." Syd muttered with a humph as she slouched in her seat.

"What?" Kade glanced over at Syd to turn back to someone cutting her off. "What the hell man! You son of a bitch! Get out of the way!" Kade started yelling.

Syd simply smirked her signature smirk as she looked out the window, knowing they couldn't hear her.

"Shit! I'm going to be late!" Kade looked at Syd and gave an apologetic look. "Out."

"Me?" Syd started looking befuddled.

"No, Casper-" Kade stared at her slightly annoyed. "Yes you, out! I'll drive you another time."

Syd locked her jaw and got out. "You better meet me at Joey's after your classes, got it?" Syd said closing the door and leaning in through the opened window.

"It's Friday, I don't have classes, but sure, I'll even bring Ryker, Addison, and Max, if you want." She glared at the man who was flipping her off. There was a sudden loud honk. Syd put her hand up to apologize.

"Right, never mind. Just come over. I need a sparring partner and a work out session after work." Syd started to walk away backward heading towards the sidewalk.

"Right. Great, bye!" Kade glanced over at Syd.

"Or don't listen to a single thing I just said, great." Syd muttered as she watched Kade drive into the chaos of Boston's roads. She jumped up onto the pavement and slipped her earbuds in as she slowly faded into Boston's large crowd of people.

Syd kept walking until she reached the opening of an empty ally. She walked down it until she reached a fence blockade. She jumped the fence and got to the door of a certain abandoned warehouse. Sliding back an old door, she walked into a completely empty room. There stood a 1934 Indian FTR 1200 S. She smiled as she walked towards it. Jumping onto the first vehicle she ever owned and kick-starting it up.

As she got it out on the road, no one was out on the streets, being in a smaller part of Boston. She decided to gun it by pushing the throttle to the top.

She pulled into the parking lot closest to her first lecture. From what she could see, everyone had already headed to class, with the exception of a few students. Syd pulled off her helmet and rushed toward her lecture building.

Kade's day couldn't have gotten any worse. She felt terrible about her audition and couldn't stop thinking about her performance. There's no way in hell they'll choose me, She kept telling herself. She sighed and turned on the radio, trying to distract herself from her thoughts.

She parked in Bailey's Beans empty lot. She had time to spare. Kade rested her head on the steering wheel and listened to the lyrics of the song that was playing.

Back in black

I hit the sack

I've been too long I'm glad to be back

Yes, I'm let loose

From the noose

The AC/DC song helped lift her spirits somewhat. She closed her eyes and focused on Brian Johnson's voice.

I got nine lives

Cat's eyes

Abusin' every one of them and running wild

'Cause I'm back

Yes, I'm back

She finished the song and turned off Ladybug before another one could start. Then she gathered her things and went inside the cafe.

"First things first, coffee." Kade said to herself, starting the frappuccino and cappuccino machines. The bell rang, signaling someone was walking in. It was a girl with shoulder-length brown hair and dark brown eyes.

"Hey Addison, you're early." Addison hung her jacket up, rolled her sleeves to her elbows, and turned to greet Kade.

"Yeah, Ryker kicked me outta the house. She wanted some 'alone time' with her boyfriend if you know what I mean."

"Is this your way of implying she's getting laid?" Kade said, raising her eyebrows at her while measuring out ingredients for cinnamon rolls. "Because you're really bad at it and Ryker is too socially awkward to get to that level, I mean it's Ryker after all."

Addison shrugged and started taking down chairs, "You never know, she could wake up one day and decide she doesn't want to be a virgin for her whole life."

"Would she though?" Kade walked back into the storage room with the sugar container in hand.

They gossiped and baked until 9 O'Clock, opening time. Addison got prepared to wait tables while Kade wrote the specials on the chalkboard. Kade always got excited for their first customer, to her it marked the official start of the day. The bell rang and the door opened.

Finally, 7 o'clock. Kade liked the end of the day just as much as the beginning. After counting today's profit and cleaning up she grabbed the pie she had made for Syd, she felt terrible about the way she had treated her this morning.

"Addison!" She called, remembering a promise she'd made, "Syd wanted us to drop by Joey's, you coming?"

"Uh, yeah, sure!"

"Okay, we've gotta pick up Ryker and Max on our way there. I'll meet you in the car."

"I'm right here." Addison appeared next to Kade and she nearly jumped out of her skin.

"Son of a bitch, Addi. You've got to stop doing that." She turned and walked out the door, Addison right behind her. She kept getting after Addison as she locked up. "It's like you have a superpower or some shit." They made their way to Ladybug. "You're gonna give somebody a heart attack one day."

"Okay, okay, I get it. You're a pussy." With that, she smirked and got in the car.

Kade stopped in front of Max's house and honked long and loud.

"Maybe we should've called him or something." Kade observed from the driveway.

"Just honk again, he'll get the message." Addison suggested. Kade honked again, longer and louder. This time Max peeked out of the upstairs window. They waved frantically and he disappeared into the house. About thirty seconds later, he walked out the front door.

"For such a small car, sure makes a lot of noise." Max said as he buckled into the back seat while shutting his door."

"It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog." Kade quoted as she backed out.

"Yeah, 'cause that applies to your car." Addison remarked sarcastically.

"Isn't that a quote from Lab Rats?" Max guessed.

"Yes," Kade turned up the classic rock station and started heading to their next destination, "Yes it is."

To no one's surprise, all the three of them talked about on the ten-minute drive was their favorite show; Supernatural. Critiquing the latest episode and pointing out their favorite parts.

"I would literally sell my soul for Gabriel to come back." Kade stated when they were discussing their favorite characters.

"We have fourteen seasons telling us not to do that exact thing." Max pointed out.

"Tell that to Sam and Dean."

Meanwhile …

Earth 3

Lebanon, Kansas

The action and dialogue of this scene is taken directly from Season 11 Episode 19: "The Chitters" and belongs to The CW. WE OWN NOTHING. It is meant only to put the time-frame into perspective.

Dean is sitting on one of the chairs in the bunker, reading a book. Sam comes in carrying a bowl of cereal.

"Dude, you even move since last night?" Sam asked, already knowing Dean had spent the majority of the night looking for leads on Lucifer and Amara.

"Sleeping is the new smoking." Dean replied tiredly.

"What? No, it's not. It's sitting. Sitting is the new smoking."

"That can't be right." Dean didn't even have to mention Cas, Sam could sense the worry in his voice. Dean was always worried about Cas.

"Dean, we'll find Cas, okay? He's stronger than he looks." Sam tried to reassure his big brother.

"You know, we gambled with Cas, and now Amara has him."

"For some reason, which means he's still alive."

Dean shook his head. "I've been with Amara. Her beef is with the big guys… with God, with Lucifer. The small fries, even an angel like Cas, doesn't even register. And if it meant hurting Lucifer, killing Cas would mean nothing to her."

"It's been a week," Sam stated, speaking the truth neither of them wanted to hear. "We've still got no leads."

Dean stands up, visually frustrated. "You think I don't know that?"

"So… so we get back out there." Sam thought it best to try and distract Dean from the whole Cas situation. "We get back to work. We keep moving. We keep working. We'll catch a break on Cas. We have to. It's… it's karma." Dean rips another book off the shelf and leafs through it.

"You know, karma's been kicking us in the teeth lately."

"Yeah." Sam set down his breakfast, lifted his laptop and opened it up to the case he was looking into the day before. "So… let's kick it back. Here, check this out." Dean closed his book and shoved it into its place, focusing on Sam. "Libby Strauss." He started explaining. "Uh, went missing near Gunnison, Colorado. Now Libby's friend claimed she was carried off by a mutant creature with green eyes."

Dean sat back down, "Demon?"

"That's what I thought, but it gets better. The friend chased after 'em and she found Libby, only it wasn't Libby anymore because now she, too, is a green-eyed mutant."

"Demon suit swap?" Dean guessed again.

"Only one way to find out."

Earth 17

"Okay, but if you had to choose," Kade nagged as they walked into Joey's Repair and Retail, the auto shop where Sydney worked, "Destiel or Sabriel?"

The topic was still stuck on Supernatural, just a slightly different discussion.

"Both." Addison repeated for the third time.

"You have to choose one."

"Fine, Wincest."

"Oh God, please tell me that's not a serious answer." Kade gagged, genuinely disgusted.

"Of course not. That's disgusting, but I can't decide on one. So, both."

"Ugh, fine." All four of them sat down on the old, scrappy couches Joey had installed. Syd walked into the room, wiping her hands on an oilcloth. She had changed out of her everyday clothes and was wearing an old stained t-shirt and the mechanic shop's overalls. She spotted the pie on the coffee table right away and nodded to it.

"Is that pie?"

"Yeah," Kade answered, "I felt bad about this morning." Syd walked over and uncovered the pastry.

"You are forgiven."

"Here, I brought a few forks." Kade reached into her bag and handed each person a fork.

"What makes you think I'm gonna share?" Syd said defensively but still set the pie down on the table for everyone to reach. The group sat and shared Syd's pie, talking mostly about Supernatural. With the exception of gossip and family drama, sometimes a different show they were equally obsessed with.

"WALKER, WE GOT A CAR!" Syd's boss walked out of the small mechanic shop office.

"ON IT!" Syds yell was muffled with her face full of pie. She stood up flicking her fork at Ryker.

She walked out into the middle of the shop to be presented with a McLaren Senna that was a light shade of baby blue. Beside it stood a man with sunglasses and a fancy pinstripe black suit.

"Heard you guys were the best in all of Boston?" The man said.

Syd was flabbergasted. She had never gotten something like this. A Mclaren was a sports car. It's like a hellcat or, a Ferrari, hell, this was like a Corvette-

"That's right. We're the best in all of Boston." Her boss interrupted her thoughts.

"Great, I need it fixed by midnight." The man said looking down at his phone.

"That's four hours. Sir, it depends on the damages, it could take me days." Joey walked to the hood of the car and opened it.

"Fine, then I'll take my service somewhere else." The man said, putting down his phone and starting to get back in.

"Wait, wait. I said I couldn't do it, I never said Syd couldn't. She's our best mechanic."

"A girl?" He gave Joey a questioning look. "Okay, whatever. Just get it fixed." The man walked to the curb and waited for a black limo to pull up and take him.

"Syd, we need this car done by midnight," Joey said while guiding Syd to the car. She stopped and crossed her arms over her chest and raised an eyebrow.

"Joey, I'm supposed to get off-" Syd paused to glance down at her watch, 8:00 pm. "-Now. You've done this to me all week." She kept eye contact, waiting for a response. On the outside, she looked calm and perfectly fine, but on the inside, she was exhausted. She'd been working non-stop. When she wasn't working at Joey's mechanics, she was studying for SATS. And when that wasn't happening she'd be helping Kade run her lines for her auditions. She had gotten 4 hours of sleep for the entire week. She was barely holding on, spread as thin as she could go.

"Please, kid. This'll be the last night, I promise."

Syd thought about it for a moment. One more night couldn't hurt. Plus, it's a Mclaren.

"Okay, fine. But this is the last night."

"Thanks, kid." Joey patted her on the back as he walked away. Syd turned around and waved a finger at him.

"You owe me one!" She called as he disappeared into his office. Then turned back to the car, leaned on the front bumper looking into the hood, and assessed the situation. "You owe me more than one, actually." She said to herself. As she looked she found that the spark plug needed to be replaced, the carburetor needed to be cleaned out, the coolant needed to be refilled, the tires rotated, the clutch cables replaced and the transmission fluid was leaking. This would take till one in the morning. At least I don't need to replace the engine. Syd thought.

"Hey guys, I'm gonna be here all night, you might as well head home." Syd called to her friends.

"No way, this'll be fun!" Ryker yelled back. Followed by multiple 'yeah's and 'hell yes's. Syd was relieved they didn't want to leave her, but they would most likely distract her from her job.

"Well, if we're having another one of our signature all-nighters at Joey's, we're gonna need beer." Kade announced standing up, she recognized the stress on Syd's face, "And lot's of it."

"And Red-Bulls." Max added, "Don't forget the Red-Bulls." Kade nodded, grabbed her bag and headed out the door.

"Don't forget Pie!" Syd yelled right before the door closed.

"AND PIZZA!" Ryker yelled at the closed door. "Do you think she heard me?'

"Don't worry, Rike. I'll get your damned pizza!" They all heard faintly from outside. Syd turned towards Max.

"What's your obsession with Red-Bulls?" Syd teased.

"What's your obsession with pie?" Max countered. Syd looked at Max, hummed, and nodded with approval as she walked towards the wall that holds all the tools.

"Ship" Addison whispered to Ryker, but Syd was able to catch the end of it.

"I don't know why you guys like just sitting around watching me work the whole night." Syd said, laying down on the creeper she had just pulled off the wall and sliding under the Mclaren.

About half an hour later, Kade walked in, and the fun began.

Earth 3

"That was a weird-ass case," Dean said, setting down his duffle on the bunker's map table.

"You got your ass handed to you by a skinny nine-year-old. That, as I recall, you flirted with his mother non-stop." Sam said while holding in his laughter.

"Shut your face," He pointed a threatening finger at Sam. "She was a very attractive woman. And how was I supposed to know her kid was a shapeshifter." Sam shook his head and handed Dean a beer.

"Yeah, but he still kicked your ass," Sam muttered under his breath as he walked out of the kitchen to find his laptop.

"I heard that!" Dean yelled after sam. "Bitch." He almost whispered.

"Jerk!"

Dean threw back his beer, hoping to get to the bottom before Sam got back with a new case.

"Hey, Dean?"

"What is it now?"

"Uh," Sam walked back into the room, reading something on his computer. "Demons. In…" He trailed off, sitting down. "Boston, Massachusetts. Picked up by Ash's old program, I just modified it."

"Great." Dean sighed, "We gotta drive across the country. Again."

"We could just call a hunter up there to take care of it. I mean, with all this Lucifer-Amara stuff going on… Not to mention the situation with Cas." He looked up at his brother. "We could use a break."

"No, no we can do it. We leave in ten."

Dean stood up from his seat and walked out of the kitchen sending one last longing glance at the last beer in the case.

"You don't want to at least get a decent night's sleep before we do this?" Sam called after him, but got no response.

They were two days into the hunt, staying in a mediocre but very expensive hotel. Sam had figured out the thing they were hunting was a Succubus.

"So get this, a Succubus is a demon in female form,'" Sam had explained. "'Or supernatural entity in folklore, that appears in dreams and takes the form of a woman in order to seduce men, usually through-'" He raised his eyebrows and gave a breathy laugh. "'-Sexual activity.' Uh, this article says 'religious traditions hold that repeated sexual activity with a Succubus may result in the deterioration of health or mental state, or even death.'"

"Demon hookers?"

"Looks like it. This may be the weirdest case yet."

"How the hell do we kill a dream?" Dean asked, opening another beer.

"According to the Lore, Succubi aren't dreams themselves. They have the power to manipulate dreams. They look just like regular people." He scrolled further down the website and a picture appeared. "Woah, very attractive regular people."

"What? Let me see." Dean reached to snatch the laptop but Sam pulled it away. He glared at Dean and continued reading.

"Uh, they can seduce men simply by touching them, drain life force and energy, and have accelerated healing." Dean was peering over his shoulder at the screen. "However, they're weakened by 'sexual need'"

"These things die from being horny?"

"They're weakened." Sam corrected. "They die from decapitation and heart extraction."

"Okay, but how do we know who's a demon hooker and who's a regular, you know, human hooker?"

"Um, apparently, their eyes glow light blue when they're using their powers."

"Cool, so pretty much a sex-addicted vamp. Should be easy."

Dean couldn't have been more wrong.

The impala pulled up to the bar where their supposed Succubi took their prey.

"Okay, let's go over this again." Sam started, "No hooking up. No touching. Nothing." The hopeful expression on Dean's face disappeared. He grabbed the duffle and pushed open his door.

"You're no fun." He mocked, and headed inside.

"Just trying not to get you killed!" Sam yelled out of the open window. Maybe that's what he wants.

As Dean opened the door the thick smell of alcohol and sweat took over all his senses. To the untrained nose the stench might have been overwhelming, but this is what Dean called comfort. He made his way to the bar, eyeing a dark-haired woman in the booth behind him. She looks suspicious. He noted and ordered a drink. If Sam caught him drinking on the job, Dean would be ripped a new one.

Dean hit the wall with such force, Sam thought he heard bones crack, he fell to the ground unconscious. Sam didn't have time to worry about his brother before small hands wrapped around his throat. His attention was forced to the gleaming blue eyes of the dark-haired girl they'd met at the bar.

Her grip tightened and her eyes shined brighter. Sam felt something change inside him, suddenly this girl was the most beautiful he'd ever seen. Even as she was choking him to death.

With what seemed like superhuman strength, she rammed him into the wall opposite from Dean. He didn't care about how much it hurt, he just wanted to be with this girl.

Now he was gasping for air, but she slammed his head against the wall again, and again, and again. Ten more times until he passed out.

Dean cracked his eyes to the last three hits to Sam's head. His eyes followed him to the ground. He watched the Succubus stand over his little brother for a moment. She seemed almost disappointed.

"We would've had a good time, Moose." She said.

She crouched down and whispered something in his ear. Dean eyed the gun about four feet to his left. He started inching towards it, ignoring the excruciating pain in his ribs and chest. He desperately tried to use his fingertips to pull the gun closer to him.

Footsteps echoed through the warehouse. Dean rolled over to catch the girl trying to make a run for it. He steadied his hand as much as he could and focused on her back. He knew the bullet wouldn't kill her but it would slow her down. Dean's hand was shaking too badly to get a straight shot, he pulled the trigger anyway.

The bullet buried itself in the base of her neck. Hopefully severing her spinal cord. She dropped almost immediately, twitching. Dean could tell she was still breathing. He struggled to his feet and staggered to the dropped machete, then to the Succubus. In one aching movement he chopped her head clean off, dropped the machete and clutched his supposedly broken ribs.

"WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO?"

Dean whipped around towards where Sam was laying. He saw nothing but the floor. Out of nowhere Dean felt a rope wrap around his neck. The pressure was getting stronger and harder until Dean couldn't breath.

"YOU KILLED HER! YOU KILLED HER, HOW COULD YOU?" Sam yelled in Dean's ear as he pulled tighter on the rope.

"Sam." Dean rasped out, knowing that Sam had been affected by the Succubus. "Sam, listen to me-" Sam jerked the rope tighter and leaned forward.

"You will pay for that." He whispered into Dean's ear.

Dean wrapped his arms around Sam's head and neck and flipped him over onto his back, pinning him.

"Sam," He said gently, "this is not you." He searched Sam's eyes, looking for any sign his baby brother is still in there somewhere. All he saw was anger. Vicious, vengeful, anger.

"Get off you bastard." Sam spit at Dean. Their faces were inches apart.

"No."

"Get off!" He screamed as he used every bit of strength to flip Dean back over. Dean only saw a glimpse of the murderous rage on Sam's face before knuckles landed square in his face. One after another until Dean was almost unrecognizable. He could have punched back. He should have. But Dean couldn't bring himself to do it. He would not hurt Sammy.

Just when Dean was about to blackout Sam pulled him to his feet and quite literally threw him into a shelf of cans a few meters away. Dean felt another rib crack. He tried to pick himself up but the room was spinning.

He grabbed one of the paint cans, and with the last of his strength, he swung it towards Sam with everything he had left.

It made contact with Sam's head, causing him to fall unconscious immediately. Dean dropped the paint can and fell to the ground.

5 minutes later

"What the hell is that?" Sam said standing up while rubbing his sore neck from the fight.

He looks over to see Dean beaten and unconscious on the floor of the warehouse.

"Dean? Dean?!"
