FOR ISLA KRYZE the life on Mandalore was great, beautiful. She was free to do the things she enjoyed and was fairly carefree. However, coming out of age was the day she wasn't able to look forward to. Her mother, Satine Kryze, would always remind her, that one day after she turns eighteen, she would have to accept a marriage proposal as much as she liked to reject her previous suitors. After all, in their culture, to marry was a great honour and responsibility. To marry a Mandalorian warrior was supposed to be an accomplishment for a woman, her duty. That's just how it was for thousands of years.

But Isla Kryze never thought that day would come, laughing off any marriage proposal that was thrown her way. Somehow expecting she would get out of this predicament

But how was she supposed to say no to the sole ruler and king of Mandalore?

Isla's breath hitched in her throat when he said those words on the day of her birthday, at the celebration of her coming of age. Standing before her mother, Satine, in all his glory and shining armour, unafraid and proud.

And the only thing her mother could do was smile, because who wouldn't want to give their daughter to the best Mandalorian warrior? To the king of Mandalore?
