Lately I've been seeing a lot of Victorious content in youtube. It kinda bring me back to my childhood. And now I'm grown up, I have a big clue on what is happening in the show. Watching it again made me realize many things, but still, Jade is my favorite. This is just a preview of the grown up story of Jade West and the gang.
Disclamer: I don't own Victorious
In the middle of the toe curling cold, a loud and angry shout filled through, breaking the peaceful coffee break of everyone in the fifteenth-floor of The View Broadcasting Headquarters.
"For a hundredth time Cat, you shut your goddamn mouth, close the fucking window and get out of the apartment. Or else-"
The frustrated girl was cut off when the person on the other side of call said, "Or else what?! I'm not scared of you!"
"OR ELSE I'M GOING TO COLLECT ALL OF YOUR STUPID STUFFED TOYS, PUT IT IN THE BIGGEST CAN I CAN FIND AND SET FIRE TO IT!" The girl replied. The door to her office open slowly with a shaking intern forcing her way inside.
"Ms. West-" The intern said.
"WHAT?!"
"I'm sorry. You're being called at studio 5. Mr. Engrid said that the audition is about to start and was asking if you would like to sit through it if you are not busy. I was just told to say that-don't hurt me." Nothing could make the intern more scared as she stand in the darkest room in the building and the meanest producer in the company.
"Get out!" Jade answered pointing towards the door. She sigh and turn back to the girl on the phone. She can hear Cat babbling something about how precious her toys. "CAT!"
"Fine! I'm closing the door. I'm leaving the apartment, but I'm not giving up on you. We're going to Robbie's show no matter what you said! And-" Jade ended the call before Cat even finish what she was saying.
She gather all of her files and leave the room. Walking towards the elevator, something passes on her peripheral view that made her stop. She changes her route towards the innocent desk of a new writer at the company.
"Ms. West, I'm Debbie and I'll be working with you for the new series 'Reverence.' I'm looking forward to working with-"
"You're fired. Pack your things and your lousy blouse. I want this desk cleared by the minute I get back to my office."
Jade ignored all of the protest coming from the new writer. She proceed to her orginal plan, walking towards the elevator to Studio 5.
The minute she walks inside the studio all of the heads turned to look at her. Jade, just like when she was a teenager is pleaser to the eyes of everyone looking at her. She never disappoint, from head to toe, she looks beautiful. Frowns and fire balzing eyes only enhance her beauty.
"Well... There's my favorite producer." Micheal Engrid, one of the senior producers. He opened his arms for a hug from the lady.
"Don't touch me." Jade said taking the seat at the end of the row beside the co-producer.
Mr. Engird is going to be the executive producer for the show and Jade being her favorite employee in the company, he hired her as the line producer.
Engird felt a vibration from his pocket. He reached out for his phone and found Jade's afternoon surprise for him, her little scene in the 15th floor. 'Writer #3 just left the building' the text said. He ignored the text and motion for the audition to start.
After six people auditioning for the main role, Jade is getting tired. They we're all provided the same script and all of the actors provided the same boring act. She was packing her stuff when No. 7 scrolled inside the room.
"Good Afternoon, I'm Beck Oliver. And I'm auditioning for the character of Code."
Everyone knows Beck Oliver. He's a great actor, the handsome boy, the flirty boy and the perfect golden boy of America. He starred in movies and tv shows as the guy who was always in the friend zone when it come to the girl he likes. He's the second lead favorite of everyone.
Jade didn't know she was sliding back to her seat, she was to focused on Beck's acting that she didn't see the cup of coffee beside her. Her arms pushed it to the edge until it came in contact with the floor earning a loud smash.
"Really Jade?" Engrid said. Beck is now completely aware of the girl inside the room. He saw Jade roll her eyes to the producer.
"He's the best one so far and you ruined it."
"I did not. Its the stupid cup's fault."
"Are you also going to blame the cup for the firing of our third writer? You hired her and on her first day you fired her?" Engrid fired back to the girl.
Beck who was listening to the conversation can't help but laugh. This is totally something she would do.
"She left? She's worst than I thought. I can't have someone like that working here. I look like a saint compared to you, how would she be able to survive this if she can't handle me?"
"I'm a nice boss, Jade."
"Yeah... Keep telling yourself that."
"Okay! Beck! What makes you audition for this role? It's different from your usual genre in shows." The casting director ask Beck, cutting off the argument between the two producers.
"I've always like this kind of genre but I never got a chance to act in one."
"Yeah, right." Jade scoff sarcastically.
"And I want people to know that I'm not just some pretty face and I can handle all genre."
"Yey us!" Jade, again replied not so secretly.
"We'll get back to you." The casting director replied glaring at the end of the row to the sarcastic girl.
After the audition, Jade left the studio to go to the restroom. After inspecting if the coffee left a damage on her boots and retouching her lipstick, Jade left the restroom.
"Did you like my performance?"
Jade almost slap the owner of the voice. Sighing, she turned to her ex-boyfriend leaning on the wall outside the woman's restroom.
"It's boring. This is a crime-mystery-suspense show, don't turn it into one of your romance cliche programs."
"I think I did great."
"Sure, live in a life of fantasy. Oh... Please stay leaning on that wall. That's your best view."
"Handsome Boyfriend kind?"
"No, pervert, hair thief, cheater boyfriend kind." She left making sure to let her hair slap Beck in the face.
He chuckled and scream back, "Nice to see you too, babe."
Beck and Jade broke up Junior year when Beck didn't open the door for Jade. Half of their senior year, Beck and Tori dated and broke up between the time after graduation and going to college.
Cat, Jade, Andre and Beck studied at Julliard, while Robbie and Tori got accepted in NYU. Cat and Jade lived in an apartment Jade's dad bought for her as a way of saying he still remember he has a daughter.
Now, 28 years old, the gang is pretty much still exist but with sub-units. Jade still hates Tori, since she dated her ex-boyfriend. She and Cat with Robbie and sometimes Beck and Andre hangout. Meanwhile, when Tori host a date with them, Andre, Beck and sometime Cat and Robbie attends.
Jade West is working at The View Brodcasting Company in New York City as a producer for 2 years now. Mr. Engrid, her college professor whom she worked with as his assistant for 5 years, right after she graduated, was the one who gave her the job.
From his assistant to a permanent producer is something Jade really thankful for him. Although she may not admit it, Engrid is closest thing she could get as a father. And Engrid think of her as his daughter as well.
She lives with Cat Valentine. Cat is now a full time employee of Disney Channel. She worked in many movies and cartoons as a voice actress. Her most famous movie is Frozen. She also starred as Isabela in the famous show, Phineas and Ferb.
Robbie Shappiro who's really close to the two girls, works in the Entertainment Department of The View Broadcasting. He works a few floor down Jade's and live in the apartment beside them. He is officially their driver who picks up Cat and Jade and drive them to work. Robbie also works as a part timer on a bar near their place as an entertainer.
Tori Vega unfortunately for everyone didn't make it as an actor. But when she changes her path back to becoming a pop star, her reputation as a singer improved. As of now, she is on her way to becoming a famous singer.
Andre as everyone expected grew big in the music industry and all the songs he composed recieves a platinum. He currently lives in LA, away from all of the gang, having a long line of singers begging for him to right them a song.
Beck may always be the second lead but his movie last year, him as the main lead, the ratings sored to the roof. He received plenty of awards, endorsement and sponsorship. The guy is doing pretty good.
Jade was in the middle of finalizing the staff list when the doorbell rings. Thinking Cat is around to open the door, she ignored it. It rang a little more and again after a few seconds then the person on the orther side grew impatient and started pushing the doorbell until someone answer.
"CAT! The door!"
Still no response from her roommate, Jade stood up and walked towards the kitchen where she last saw the girl. No sign of Cat, she opened the door for the impatient guest, her ex-boyfriend, Beck.
She stopped and made a grimace, "I'm not hooking up with you again." Jade slam the door to his face and proceed to look for the missing roommate. Still no sign, anywhere in the apartment, she decided to look for her in Robbie's apartment.
Oblivious to her, Beck is still standing outside the door when she left her apartment. He took it as a sign and invited himself inside.
"Oh... Kay... I'm leaving. That's disgusting." Jade in the other apartment, found the two playing with some slimmy green thing in a big tub.
After rolling her eyes at the two, she walked back to her apartment. As soon as she's inside, she was greeted by a guy eating a fried chicken infront of her laptop. Rolling her eyes, for the second time, she shoved him to the other side away from her laptop.
"Who invited you in?" She asked him while trying to organize her stuff on the coffee table before Beck's greasy food and greasy hand destroy them.
"You left the door wide open. I'll take that as my invitation." He answered looking smug at the annoyed girl.
"Well, I'm not hooking up with you."
"Really? You think I came here for sex?"
"It's been two months since Robbie's birthday, two months since the last time I hook up with you. And according to the tabloids you're not dating anyone. So tell me, are you here NOT for sex?"
"Are you stalking me?"
"No. You're in the tabloids for everyone to see and I have the right to know if I'm going to appear as a mistress because of my latest hook up partner."
Before Beck could answer, "You really are here for sex. You didn't even bother to deny it. Way to go, pretty boy."
"I'm not here for sex-"
"Yeah... Like I believe you."
"I'm here because Robbie asked me to keep you company-"
"What am I a kid?"
"He wants some alone time with Cat-"
"Oh, don't sugarcoat it. Just say sex."
"Jade..."
"Fine, I'm listening."
"Well, he was afraid that when you get bored you'll suddenly barged into his apartment and spoil his one chance of getting laid."
"Are you done?"
"Well, sex with you is just an addition. That only happens when alcohol is involve or you're-"
"Horny."
"I didn't say that-"
"But you're thinking about it."
Silence past between the two.
"Whatever, just don't bother me. I'm going to work. And I'm not hooking up with you." Jade said pointing her fingers to Beck. He shrug and proceed to eat the greasy food he bought for her. Based on the situation, she is not in the mood for eating.
An hour passed with Jade's attention buried on her laptop and Beck with whatever show was playing on the tv.
"Aren't you going to eat?" Beck asked when he realized he finished the whole chicken by himself.
"Uhm..." The only response he receive. Not waiting for the time that the girl transform into a monster, he made his way to their kitchen and inspect their food supply for something simple he could cook.
"Don't touch anything. I don't want the apartment burning into ashes, although I would love to see that but not on the place I sleep." Jade said. She realized Beck was planning on cooking. For the span of time knowing him, the only thing he knows how to cook is popcorn and pour some hot water in a bowl of instant noodles.
"How are you going to eat?"
"Call for some fast food delivery service, or whatever you call that."
He sigh, he hate deliveries. Deliveries are kinda of annoying especially if the delivery guy have seen you on TV. Jade heard Beck's exaggerating sigh and said, "Don't worry Mr. Popular, I'll be the one getting it so you won't be in the middle of your fanservice."
After eating both get back to what they are originally doing, Jade on her laptop and Beck on TV that is playing a hot make-out scene between the two lead.
"Jade..." Watching that and sitting beside Jade is definitely the worst situation a guy could ever be in.
"I'm not hooking up with you."
"How-"
"You're breathing is heavier and you keep on moving like you're trying to make yourself comfortable."
"May-"
"Stop watching those things. I'm not hooking up with you."
The ringing of the phone woke Jade up. Felling annoyed, she elbowed the owner of the huge arm around her. The guy just groaned and pull her closer to him.
After a few seconds, Jade realize what is happening. Her fist immediately collide to her bedmate's chest. "Wake up, you stupid shit! I can't believe I slept with you again!"
"For the love of God, that hurts."
"I don't care. I slept with you for the hundredth time and now you're stupid phone keeps on ringing, way to start my day!"
Jade push Beck away from her. "Jade!" Beck called out to the annoyed lady who ignore him walking into the bathroom.
"Hello?" Beck asked as soon as he answered the phone.
"Hi! We are from The View..." Beck was distracted as soon as he heard Jade cursing inside the bathroom. And by the sound of things being thrown and smash onto the wall, she's destroying the bathroom.
He can't help but chuckle. Last night she was so willing, and Jade being Jade, of course she'll regret it the morning after. That's what happens when she get bored and now think of what will happen if she was drunk the night before and supporting a hangover the next morning. He thought he wouldn't be able to survive a minute with it.
"Mr. Oliver? Is this Mr. Beck Oliver?"
"I'm sorry. Yes, it's Beck Oliver. Can you repeat what you just said?"
"I know it's a little early for us to call. We wanted to inform you that you've been cast as Code Lockden on the series Reverence. Congratulations, Mr. Oliver."
