Hey everyone this is my first ever story so I really hope it's gonna be ok I've been thinking of it forever and finally decided to write it down hopefully this doesn't cross over to much with anyone else's ideas as there's a lot of amazing ones out there sorry if it does! This is a rewrite of the story the terrible season 8 leaves us with it's an eventual J/H story it will feature a lot of character growth hopefully some laughs and a great adventure. It starts of in the scene where Jackie, Kelso & Donna are chatting in Donna's room after Steven returns from Los Vegas. Enjoy!
Chapter One! - IS IT THE BEGINNING OR THE END?
INTRO: DONNA,KELSO & JACKIE ARE IN DONNAS ROOM JACKIE IS CRYING DONNA AND KELSO ARE TRYING TO COMFORT HER.
KELSO:
Jackie I'm really sorry I was just joking around. How can I make this up to you.
JACKIE:
You can't Michael everything's ruined (Jackie reply's exhausted). Stevens never going to take me back everything's ruined!
JACKIE FLOPS BACK DOWN INTO THE PILLOW SHE'S BEEN CRYING INTO FOR THE LAST COUPLE HOURS SHE CARRYS ON CRYING HER HEART OUT. DONNA FROWNS AT MICHAEL WHILE RUBBING JACKIES BACK. MICHAEL FEELS EVEN MORE GUILTY SEEING DONNAS FROWN KNOWING SHE'S SUPER PISSED AT HIM RIGHT NOW TO.
DONNA:
Jackie you don't know that for certain maybe if you guys talk you can work something out?
MICHAEL:
(Michael jumps excitedly he's suddenly remembered something) Yea Jackie maybe Donnas right I mean why would he give up so easy when he was planning on proposing to you in Chicago?
DONNA LOOKS SHOCKED, WHILE JACKIE LETS OUT A SQUEAL OF EXCITMENT, SHE JUMPS OF DONNAS BED AND WIPES HER EYES
JACKIE:
Oh my god Steven was gonna propose oh my god oh my god (she jumps around excitedly) I need to go see Steven I'm sure we can work this out I knew our love for each other was to strong to be ruined by such a silly mistake!
JACKIE QUICKLY RUNS OUT THER DOOR WITH THE BIGGEST SMILE ON HER FACE IN A RUSH TO GET STEVEN. DONNA AND KELSO BOTH SIT BACK DOWN AND HOPE THINGS WILL WORK OUT FOR THEIR FRIENDS, DONNA ESPICALLY AS SHE SILENTLY THINKS TO HERSELF AFTER SEEING JACKIE THIS WAY SHE MAY NOT SURVIVE ANOTHER HEART BREAK AND EVEN CONSIDERING HER EARLY OPINIONS THEY DID FOR SOME REASON ACTUALLY MAKE EACHOTHER HAPPY.

WHILE JACKIES RUNNING THREW BOBS AND REDS DRIVEWAYS TO GET TO THE FAMILIAR SLIDING DOOR THAT LEDS INTO THE KITCHEN SHE HAS A MILLION THOUGHTS RUNNING THREW HER HEAD BUT MAINLY SHE CAN'T STOP THINKING BOUT HOW THINGS MAY FINALLY WORK OUT AND THEY MAY JUST HAVE A HAPPY LIFE FULL OF LOVE LIKE SHE'S ALWAYS WANTED EVEN MORE SO SINCE SHE'S FALLEN IN LOVE WITH STEVEN NONE OF THE OTHER STUFF SEEMS IMPORTANT HER IDEAS OF A BIG FANCY WEDDING AND A MANSION ALL DISSAPERED THE LONGER SHE DATED HIM YEA THAT'D BE NICE BUT AS LONG AS SHE WAS MARRIED TO HER STEVEN IT WOULDN'T MATTER AS THEY'D HAVE EACHOTHER. SHE ENTERS THE KITCHEN AND SHE CAN HEAR MRS FOREMAN & STEVEN TALKING IN THE LOUNGE SHE OPENS THE DOOR AND ENTERS MRS FOREMAN LOOKS UP HER AND SMILES EXCITED, STEVEN JUST LOOKS AT HER WITH HIS USUAL ZEN EXPRESSION.
STEVEN:
What are you doing here Jackie, I wasn't joking when I said were through (He try's to say full of Zen but there's a slight crack at the end as he doesn't actually want them to be over he's just over this whole Kelso thing)
KITTY:
You kids need to talk. I'll just go into another room and give use some space!
KITTY STARTS WALKING AWAY QUICKLY LOOKING BACK TO MAKE SURE THEY AREN'T WATCHING HER NOTCING, SHE QUICKLY DUCKS BEHIND THE WALL IN THE DEN SO SHE CAN STILL HEAR CROSSING HER FINGERS SHE HOPES THE TWO WILL STOP BEING SO STUBBORN AS THEY MAKE A REALLY CUTE COUPLE AND ARE GOOD FOR EACHOTHER IN SOME WAYS THEY EVEN REMIND HER OF HER AND RED WHEN THEY FIRST STARTED OUT.
JACKIE:
Steven no we need to talk about us I love you and I don't want us to be threw.
STEVEN:
Oh yea Jackie really you love me so much you just had to go nail Kelso, your fall of shit.
JACKIE:
No Steven please just listen for a minute (she says as she takes a seat next to him on the couch) You need to trust me nothing happened in Chicago with Kelso you got it all wrong. We can work this out (she insists to him not ready to give up)
STEVEN:
Whatever (he reply's to her with Zen, but under the Zen he's starting to wonder if maybe she is telling the truth and he's just overreacting again)
JACKIE:
Why did you come to Chicago anyway Steven(she pry's knowing the answer but still needing him to actually say it himself)
STEVEN:
It doesn't matter anymore why would you care anyway.
JACKIE:
Of course I would care Steven I was so happy to see you when you showed up stupid Michael just had to go ahead and pull one of his stupid stunts and ruin everything, by the way he said you were going to propose is that true? (she asks holding her breath)
STEVEN:
I was but I realized I'm not ready for marriage yet Jackie
JACKIE:
(Jackie lets go of the breath she's been holding, all the excitement she felt before returning to her that one word meant more than anyone could imagine it would to her) No that's ok Steven I wasn't asking for us to get married straight away I just wanted to know you saw me in your future like I see you in mine.
STEVEN:
OH (Steven says realizing how silly this whole thing has been)
JACKIE PUTS HER HAND IN HIS AND THEY BOTH LOOK DEEPLY INTO EACHOTHERS EYES. SUDDENLY THERES A KNOCK AT THE DOOR MRS FOREMAN EXITS HER HIDING SPOT LOOKING AT THE DOOR WITH CONFUSION. SHE GOES AND ANSWERS IT AND SEES A TRASHY LOOKING BLONDE STANDING THERE.
SAM:
HI IS HYDE HERE?
KITTY:
HYDE? I think you have the wrong house (kitty says quickly in shock this can not be happening she was just planning a future for one of her baby's envisioning a beautiful wedding and cute babies he surely wouldn't of gone and cheated on poor Jackie again) I'm sure no one around here knows anyone like you no offence dear (she does her famous laugh to try cover her harshness).
SAM PEAKS AROUND THE OLDER LADY NOT BOTHERED BY WHATS SHE'S SAID SHE SPOTS HYDE ON THE COUCH AND PUSHES THE OLDER LADY OUT OF THE WAY RUSHING OVER TO HIM
SAM:
Steven baby Hi, It took me forever to find you!
JACKIE:
Who the hell are you ( She can barely get out. Her whole heart feels like it's breaking this is the nurse all over again why can't he trust her she's never done this to him).
SAM:
I'm Sam Hyde's wife we got married in Vegas. Who are you and why are you holding my husbands hand?
JACKIE FEELS HER ENTIRE HEART BREAK SHE'S GASPING DESPERATLY FOR AIR AS SHE DROPS STEVENS HAND AND RUNS OUT THE DOOR AS FAST AS SHE CAN. KITTYS STANDING OVER BY THE DOOR LOOKING LIKE SHE COULD CRY. STEVENS MOUTH JUST DROPS OPEN HE CAN'T EVEN SPEAK FOR A MOMENT ALL HE CAN THINK ABOUT IS THE LOOK ON JACKIES FACE THE COMPLETE HEARTBREAK IT WAS EVEN WORSE AND MORE UPSETTING THAN WHEN HE HAD SLEPT WITH THE NURSE , HE DROPS HIS HEAD INTO HIS HANDS AND LETS OUT A GROAN.
KITTY:
Oh Steven how could you!
SAM:
Don't worry baby I forgive you for holding her hand, I'm prettier anyway. Hyde Baby where are we sleeping I don't wanna stand around all night with my bags.
HYDE:
(Shaking his head he slowly stands up knowing he's gone and completely messed up things with Jackie and judging by her face he'll never have a chance with her again, he thinks to himself well I'm married and she screwed Kelso anyway so I should just get over her and be with Sam do the responsible thing and not turn out like Bud. Deep down though he knew he'd made the worst decision of his life as Jackie was the only girl he ever could love) C'mon Sam I'll take you down to the basement and show you my room.
KITTY:
Steven you can't be serious!
THEY BOTH IGNORE HER AND HEAD DOWN THE STAIRS. KITTY POURS HERSELF A GLASS OF WINE IN A PANIC AND SITS DOWN ON THE SOFA WONDERING WHAT ON EARTH SHE CAN DO TO FIX THIS.

JACKIE MANAGES TO HOLD HER TEARS IN INTILL SHE GETS OUTSIDE BUT AS SOON AS SHE CLOSES THE SLIDING DOOR SHE STARTS HYSTERICALLY CRYING. SHE STARTS RUNNING AND RUNNING SOON IT STARTS RAINING BUT SHE BARELY NOTICES. TOM IS DRIVING DOWN THE STREET ON HIS WAY HOME FROM WORK WHEN HE LOOKS OVER AND SEES A GIRL COMPLETLEY SOAKED RUNNING IN THE RAIN HE DECIDES TO PULL OVER AND OFFER HER A LIFT.
TOM:
Hey sweetheart jump in I'll give a ride.
JACKIE:
(Jumps startled not realizing someone's pulled up beside her) Um no thanks I'll be fine.
TOM:
(Taking a closer look realizes the girls been crying) I'm not gonna harm ya honest but if you stay out here much longer your gonna get sick or the next person who comes along may not have the same thoughts that I do so please just let me give you a lift.
JACKIE:
(Still weary) No really I'm fine.
TOM:
For the love of god I could do this all night please just get in the truck.
JACKIE:
(Jackie snaps) Fine, but just warning you i know how to kick so don't try any funny business.
JACKIE JUMPS IN THE TRUCK TOM JUST SMIRKS PULLS OF HIS JACKET AND HANDS IT TO HER TO WARM UP ABIT, JACKIE LOOKS IN HIS EYES AND IS SUPRISED THEY REMIND HER OF STEVENS SOMEHOW OF COURSE THEY WERE COMPLETLEY OPPOSITE OF HIS THE DARKEST BROWN YOU COULD EVER FIND BUT THEY HAD THE SAME LOOK IN THEM THE PROTECTIVNESS AND CARE. WHILE THEY ARE DRIVING ALONG THEY INTRODUCE THEMSELVES AND MAKE SMALL TALK ABOUT THE WEATHER THE SONG Wild World by Cat Stevens PLAYS QUIETLY IN THE BACKGROUND BY THE TIME THE SONG HAS ENDED THEY HAVE ARRIVED AT JACKIES ABANDONED MANSION IT WAS ONLY HER NOW HER MUM HAD LEFT BEFORE GRADUATION. TOM NOTICES THIS AND USUALLY HE WOULDN'T TAKE SO MUCH INTEREST IN ANOTHER PERSONS LIFE ESPICALLY A CHICKS HE WAS A LOVE THEM AND LEAVE THEM TYPE OF GUY BUT HE FELT SOME URGE TO GET TO KNOW THIS MYSTERIOUS GIRL BETTER PLUS SHE LOOKED LIKE SHE COULD USE A FRIEND RIGHT NOW.
TOM:
You don't live in this big house all by yourself do ya love. (He lights up a cigarette while looking at her curiously she is very beautiful he mentally notes to himself)
JACKIE:
(Jackie goes to lie but decides ugh why not tell someone the truth she'll probably never see this guy again) My mum ran off with some guy to Mexico well I think that's where she went and um well my dads currently in prison (she adds very quietly).
TOM:
(Tom silently goes over this information for a minute) Well that's not cool bout ya mum and well guess I can relate on the whole dad thing my dads in there to.
JACKIE:
(Says quietly) I'm sorry to hear that.
TOM:
(Shrugs) He deserves to be in there. Don't you have a boyfriend or some friends or something that you could stay with instead of staying here?
JACKIE EXPLAINS EVERYTHING THAT HAS HAPPENED AND THAT SHE DOSEN'T WANT TO BOTHER DONNA AS SHE'S GOING THROUGH STUFF TO AT THE MOMENT. TOM FEELS SORRY FOR THE KID AND PUTS HIS ARMS AROUND HER TO COMFORT HER JACKIE LEANS INTO HIS HALF EMBRACE AND CRYS HER EYES OUT AGAIN FOR WHAT FEELS LIKE THE HUNDRENTH TIME THAT NIGHT.
FLASH FORWARD TO HALF AN HOUR LATER JACKIE AND TOM ARE SITTING ACROSS FROM EACHOTHER ON HER BEDROOM FLOOR SHARING A JOINT AND A BOTTLE OF HER MUMS WINE BETWEEN THEMSELVES COMFORTABLY NUMB BY PINK FLOYD IS PLAYING IN THE BACKGROUND JACKIES LAUGHING OVER SOME OF TOMS STORYS JACKIE LEARNS HE'S ABOUT 4 YEARS OLDER THAN HER FROM NEW YOURK BUT HAS BEEN TRAVELLING AROUND SINCE HE WAS 15 DOING RANDOM JOBS TO SUPPORT HIMSELF ALONG THE WAY SHE THINKS ABOUT HOW FREEING THAT MUST BE TO NOT STAY IN A PLACE LONG ENOUGH TO FEEL THE PAIN OF GETTING ATTACHED AND WISHES TO HERSELF THAT SHE COULD LIVE LIKE THAT. AFTER THEY FINISH THERE 2ND JOINT TOM GETS UP TO LEAVE JACKIE HANDS HIM BACK HIS LEATHER JACKET AND WALKS HIM TO THE DOOR AND THEN KISSES HIM ON THE CHEEK AND SAYS THANKS FOR EVERYTHING. TOM KISSES HER FOREHEAD GIVES HER A WINK. JACKIE CLOSES THE DOOR AS HIS TRUCK TAKES OFF SHE THEN GOES TO BED AND HITS THE PILLOW ASLEEP TO EXHAUSTED AND STONED TO STAY AWAKE ANY LONGER.
OVER THE OTHER SIDE OF TOWN AFTER HAVING TO LISTEN TO SAMS COMPLAINTS ABOUT THEIR POOR LIVING ARRANGEMENTS, HYDE POPS OPEN YET ANOTHER CAN OF BEER LISTENING TO THE SAME SONG HE FOR ONCE WISHES HE COULD BE NUMB BUT ALL HE CAN SEE IS JACKIES HEARTBROKEN FACE. GETTING FRUSTRATED HE THROWS THE BEER ACROSS THE ROOM, SAM COMES OUT TO SEE WHAT ALL THE COMMOTION IS ABOUT SHE ROLLS HER EYES WHEN SHE REALISES WHAT HE'S UPSET ABOUT AND ASKS HIM TO COME TO BED SHE'S SURE SHE CAN TAKE HIS MIND OFF THE STUPID BRUNETTE BITCH. HYDE SHURGS TO HIMSELF THAT'S RIGHT MAYBE FUCKING HIS STRIPPER WIFE WILL MAKE HIM FORGET ALL ABOUT IT. ROLLING OFF SAM HE LAYS THERE ALMOST DISGUSTED WITH HIMSELF FOR EVEN TRYING TO SLEEP WITH THIS WOMEN ON THE PLUS SIDE HE ACCIDENTLY SAID JACKIES NAME AND NOW SAM ISN'T TALKING TO HIM, GOOD HE THINKS WHY SHOULD HE CARE HOW SAM FEELS, HE LOOKS UP AT THE WALL AND REALISES HE'S REALLY OUTDONE HIMSELF THIS TIME CHUCKED AWAY THE GIRL HE LOVES FOR A STRIPPER HE DOSEN'T CARE ABOUT AND CAN BARELY STAND HER CONSTANT WHINING WAS ALREADY GETTING TO HIM. HE ROLLS OVER SO HE'S NOT FACING SAM AND TRIES TO GET SOME SLEEP HOPING SECRETLY TO HIMSELF THAT JACKIE IS OK.
