Hi Everyone!

I hope you had a splendid week.

I want to announce that in the next chapter Percy is taking over from him as camp director.

A curious fact is that 90% of this fic is written at 1am since during the day it is very difficult for me to write because I have to do many other things.

I hope you like the chapter.

Chapter 15

"Oh Iris, rainbow goddess, please accept my offering and communicate with Hermes" I said while waiting for the answer, after a few moments Hermes's face appeared looking at me confused.

"Percy! How is everything? What do you want to tell your faithful friends? " Hermes said with a mischievous smile lighting up his face.

"Hello! I wanted to know if you were free today "

"Yes?" He answered me while he raised an eyebrow.

I smiled widely and applauded happily.

"Fine! That is great. Would you like to be my partner today? "

"Your partner?"

I nodded. "I have several errands to run today and I wanted to know if you would like to accompany me"

Hermes smiled kindly, very different from the smile you normally see.

"Of course, Percy. What should you do?"

I smiled broadly at him and relaxed my body. "First of all I have a meeting with Zeus"

Hermes looked at me surprised "With Zeus? What do you need to talk to him about? "

I sighed and shrugged. "There are some things I want to discuss with him before assuming my position as camp director, and with each passing week I am closer to that day."

Hermes nodded "What else?"

"I would also like to go to Camp Half-Blood and see how the demigods who stay throughout the year are doing, and if a new camper comes along"

Hermes smiled "I will gladly accompany you to the camp. I must tell you that a week ago a son of mine arrived "

"Seriously?" I smiled kindly "I would like to meet him"

Hermes smiled, and I realized that it was the smile that he used with his children. I couldn't help smiling back at him. "I'm sure he will be happy to see you. What else should you do?"

"Artemis asked me to go see her because she needed my help with something, although I don't know very well with what"

Hermes hummed thoughtfully, but nodded "Very well, I don't know if the hunters are going to be happy to see me, but I will gladly accompany you everywhere."

I smiled widely and tried to convey all my love to Hermes. "Thank you thank you thank you"

Hermes laughed and looked at me amused. Where and when will we meet? "

"Mmm, is that okay with an hour on Olympus?" I asked, Hermes nodded.

"Yes, very good" Hermes smiled at me "Then I must go, so I can finish preparing. See you later"

I waved at him before the message was finished. I got up from my seat and headed to change. Once I was changed, I decided to appear on Olympus and wait for Hermes while I walked the streets.

Without much thought, I teleported. A few moments later I was in the streets of Olympus. As I began to walk I saw minor gods, Satyrs, nymphs and many other creatures walking and following the routines of their days, some did not realize that I was there, while others saw me and bowed as a sign of respect. I will never be able to get used to that, I find it strange that beings to whom I had to show my respect before now bow down to me.

I kept walking through Olympus for quite some time, I was lost in my thoughts until I heard someone shout my name, I turned around and saw Hermes walking towards me. Upon reaching me he placed his arm on my shoulder and we headed towards the meeting with Zeus.

"What's up cousin? A drachma for your thoughts "

I smiled at him and shook my head in amusement. "Nothing interesting, Hermes. I was enjoying the views "

Hermes nodded "I understand you, Annabeth did a splendid job."

I nodded and smiled softly, we walked in comfortable silence until we reached the exit of thrones.

"I will never understand why all meetings with Zeus are here and not in his office" Hemres said as we climbed the steps.

"Does he have an office?" I asked him confused.

Hermes nodded "Although he doesn't use it"

I shrugged "Maybe he doesn't like it"

"Sure," Hermes said as the guards announced us and opened the door. After a few moments we entered the throne room and saw that Zeus was waiting for us. "Hello father"

Zeus smiled at us slightly "Hermes, Perseus. Nice to see you here "

"Hello, Uncle Zeus" I said as I bowed my head respectfully.

"You never went for formalities, Perseus. Do not start when we are alone "Zeus said, hearing Hermes snort next to me, I turned and glared at him.

"Do not look at me like that! You know that he is right. I'm not the one who sent Medusa's head to the Gods when he was 12 years old. "

I couldn't help but blush when I remembered that, it hadn't been my smartest move, although they totally deserved it.

I sighed as I shook my head before looking at Zeus. "Uncle, I wanted to tell you about some things that I am interested in doing in the camps."

"Okay. What would you like to do?"

I sighed as I straightened my back and tried to be confident "I would like there to be a portal or a more direct means to be able to communicate both camps, It would be a huge advantage if at some point there is an attack on one of the camps. It would also be very good since many demigods will spend the summer at Camp Half-Blood and the rest of the year at Camp Jupiter "

I looked at Zeus and saw him looking at me as he nodded thoughtfully. He ran his hand through his beard. "Sounds like a pretty good idea to me. We would have to see how to create a portal, but I must tell you that you have my approval "

I grinned at him "Thanks, Uncle!"

"We still have to see how to connect them, we will have to contact Hecate and see what she can do" I nodded. "What else did you want to tell me?"

Swallow. "I wish the gods had more possibilities to visit their children while they are in the camp."

Zeus looked at me seriously "Percy ..."

"Uncle Zeus. You already know that I do not agree with that rule, "When I saw that Zeus was going to speak I raised my hand" But I'm not asking you to erase "

"What are you asking for?" Zeus told me very seriously. I could feel Hermes watching the entire conversation anxiously.

"I am asking you to be more flexible while the demigods are in the camps, that during the rest of the year they have to fulfill them. But once you pass the barriers of the camps the Gods can visit them more often "

"Percy, you always ask a lot."

"Uncle, you told me that I was the god of loyalty."

"Yes, and what does that have to do with what you are asking of me?" Zeus told me as he frowned.

"Think of the increased loyalty it would open up if the demigods met their parents and realized they cared about them. That their parents care about them "

"Father, if you allow me to give my opinion," Hermes said as he looked at us, Zeus nodded. "I think Percy is right. I'm not saying we visit them every day, but it would be nice to be able to see them once a week. I think everything would be better that way "

Zeus sighed and looked at us.

"It's fine"

Hermes and I looked at each other in surprise before grinning widely.

"Yes?"

"Yes" Zeus looked at us "Please don't make me regret it"

"I promise you that you will never regret it"

Zeus shook his head and looked at us "Anything else you want to ask me?"

Although I was wondering, I knew how to tell when I shouldn't go overboard, so I shook my head.

"No, Uncle Zeus. I do not need anything else"

"All right, now go. I will be communicating with you once I speak with Hecate "Zeus said before dramatically disappearing as usual.

Once we were alone he turned to look at Hermes and we smiled widely, he approached me and hugged me tightly.

"Thank you very much, Percy," he whispered into my ear.

"No wonder, it was the right thing to do"

Hermes separated and looked at me smiling "let's go to camp"

We both smiled again and disappeared. When I opened my eyes again we were inside the Big House with Chiron looking at us while he smiled at us.

"Sirs," he said as he bowed his head respectfully. "What brings you here?"

"Chiron, how many times should I tell you that you don't have to bow down?" I said while shaking my head in amusement

"After so many things you have done for us you shouldn't worry about anything," Hermes said as he looked at Chiron smiling.

"And you have always been my coach, most of the things I learned were because of you"

Chiron smiled at us "Okay, lords"

"And I don't know what we're doing here," Hermes said as he looked at me.

I smiled at them and shrugged "There is no specific reason, I wanted to visit the camp" I said while looking at Chiron.

"You will always be welcome here, much more being the next director," Quiron said while he looked at me with affection "I am happy to be able to see you more often when you assume your new position"

I sighed as I felt the nerves creeping up my spine. "I also want to assume and be able to start doing everything I have in mind"

"I'm sure they are all good things."

"I don't know, my intentions are good, but I can't promise that everything will go well" I looked at him funny "You know how I am"

Quiron laughed "I know, and I also know that even if your plans don't go the way you want, you always get the expected result"

I shrugged "Speaking of plans, we came from a meeting with Uncle Zeus"

"Something happened?" Quiron asked worriedly.

I shook my head and sat down on a chair "No, don't worry. I had to ask his permission for something that I thought of as a new measure for the camp. "

"What thing?" Quiron asked curiously.

"I want to create a portal that connects both camps so that campers can go from one place to the other without having to worry about anything"

Chiron grinned. "Very good idea, Percy. And what did he tell you? "

"Yes, he told me yes," I said smiling widely "That he should consult with Hecate, but that it seems like a very good idea"

"I'm very happy, Percy. The campers will be happy "

Hermes looked at us and then turned to look at me "Percy, I'm leaving you for a few moments. I want to go visit my children "

I nodded and smiled kindly at him "Okay, let me know when you want to leave"

I saw Hermes walk out the door before sighing wearily. Chiron looked at me concerned.

"Something happens?"

I shrugged "No, it's nothing. I'm worried. There is less and less before I take over the camps and I don't know if I'm ready "

Chiron smiled at me "You are, you have been the leader of this camp since you were 12 years old, Percy. You have been preparing for this role throughout your life as a demigod "

I smiled gratefully "I know and understand. but I can't help having doubts "

"And that is perfect because it will make you want to improve"

I nodded thoughtfully. He is right, one of the reasons that the gods do a lot of things is because they feel comfortable and with false security, and that could explode on any day.

"Yes," I said before changing the subject "Today I could not ask Zeus much, I had a giant mental list. But the second thing I asked of him surpassed his patience "

"What did you ask him for?"

"That the gods could visit the demigods more often when they are in the camp, that when they are abroad everything remains the same, but once they pass the barriers they can visit them at least once a week"

Quiron smiled at me and I could see the happiness in his eyes "I told you a moment ago and I will repeat it to you. You are going to be a great director. You are already thinking of the demigods without having assumed your position, I cannot imagine once it is official "

"I hope so, Chiron. I hope so "I said smiling slightly.

Before we could speak again we heard someone clear their throat, we looked around our confused surroundings until we saw Artemis looking at us through an Iris message. Seeing her we bow our heads respectfully.

"My lady. To what do we owe the call? " Chiron said as he looked at her.

"Hello, Chiron, Percy." Artemis smiled softly at us before looking at me. "I wanted to tell you that you no longer need to come today. We could already solve them and also some new hunters get nervous with men, I want them to adapt to everything before they see you or my brother "

I nodded as I smiled at her "I understand, whatever you need you to know you can call me"

Artemis smiled at me and nodded "I know, I also want to tell you that Thalia and I would like you and Apollo to come to visit us more often"

I laughed before speaking again. "Let us know when everything is fine at the camp and we will visit. Although I must tell you that I do not know how long we can visit you since we are quite busy "

"I know, I spoke to Apollo yesterday," She said while she smiled "And yes, as soon as they get used to their new life I will call you or Apollo to organize everything"

"Fine"

"Now I must go, I just wanted to tell you this"

"Okay, Artemis. Beware"

"Always," She said before cutting off the Iris message.

"I see that Artemis likes you."

"And I like her"

Chiron smiled at me, before changing the subject and telling me the news from the camp. The rest of the afternoon astonished her talking, later Hermes joined us who returned from visiting his children. It was a quiet but happy afternoon, and I couldn't wish I could have them more often.
