These are my take on the evolving thoughts of Rick Grimes during important moments during the seasons of The Walking Dead TV show! Most of these thoughts mainly center around his children (Carl and Judith) and a certain beautiful samurai!

CONTINUED FROM VOLUME ONE: The Fairbanks survivors have made it through their harrowing ordeal and the last strands of hope they have are slipping through their fingers. Nothing in Anchorage is going to fix the problems that have surfaced within the group, and a whole new world of hurt and suffering is on the horizon. Glenn would have been all alone in this cruel new world otherwise. The Dixon brothers were an equally unexpected surprise,though probably not as big as actually growing fond of them.

For Rick Grimes, the world was black and white. Even after he met Lori, his soulmate, the explosion of color he expected never really came. Still, he built a (generally) happy life with a (mostly) loving wife. Until his life changed with a bullet, a stain of red he couldn't see across his chest, and a series of mysterious visions. When Beth and Noah's escape from Grady goes awry, no one finds Noah to learn where Beth is. Amanda Shepherd is forced to intervene with the corruption at Grady, but Beth's too damaged to cope with life in the place where she lost so much. Finding Beth's family is a long shot, but Amanda feels like she owes it to her to at least try.

RJ Grimes, an old friend of Merle Dixon. They finally get reunited, and when she finally gets her brother back, it comes at the cost of losing that smart-mouthed redneck. Though somehow, his brother is able to figure out how to do the same for her as Merle once did and more. Daryl Dixon was somehow able to bring back a part of her that RJ Grimes thought was gone for good.

Ana is a lawyer and married mother of 2 from the Pacific Northwest who ends up stuck in rural Georgia alone, just as the outbreak begins, when her car breaks down in front of Daryl's trailer. (Follows the storyline of Seasons 1 and 2 of TWD, and then veers off sharply. This won't fully retell all the events of the show, so a familiarity with the plot and characters is essential!)
