Yeah, a double whammy for today. This is a new story I've been thinking about for a while. None of this belongs to me, because I suck, and remember to stay safe.

Prologue: Beggining

Dark. At first, that was all they could see. An endless amount of darkness. But soon, they heard a faint voice.

A small glimmer of light shined within their view. After a few moments, it disappeared slowly.

A while later, they opened their eyes. They saw white clouds, and blue skies. It seemed to go on forever, in their mind. They got up, seeing water beneath them. They were standing on it? Anyhow, they got a closer look at their face.

They noticed they were very pale. And their face was very, what some might call, cutesy. They had baby blue eyes, but all of the life was sucked out of them. They noticed the large amount of black hair on their head, and it was very pointy to boot. Their nose was small, and their eyelashes were a bit on the long side. They looked at what they wore.

Bare chested, with bare physique, which is pretty normal for his age. They remembered they were male. Nothing on their legs except black boxers with light blue outlines. He got up to where he was standing, and he figured he wasn't too tall, but also not as short. He looked around, and he saw a woman.

She had black hair, and wore a long, white cloth over themselves. She heard the boy approaching. He saw her soft, pale (not as much as his) face with her gleaming, silver eyes.

"I didn't know when you'd wake up." She said with a light voice.

"..." He didn't respond.

"Aheh, not the talker type?"

"...I dunno what to say."

"Oh, you can talk!" She smiled. "This is the Land of Ending. I've been here for...quite a while. You got here just a few... hours ago? Maybe days? I'm not sure."

"Land of Ending...wait...am I dead?!"

"Mhm! But, obviously not in a normal way. We're the only two here."

"B-but...why?"

"Well, I was killed by a very strong enemy to the world: Salem...she overpowered me, and I ended up here..."

"Why is this Salem person an enemy?"

"She controls monsters, and wishes to destroy the world. I was going to defeat her, but...well...yeah."

"Oh... I see...so what now? We just wait here forever with no way of going back home?"

"*Sigh* Pretty much..."

"No! I don't want to stay here forever! And I know you wouldn't want to either!"

"But what else can we do? Look, I know you want leave, but...I simply couldn't find a way to."

He stayed silent. Then he sat down.

It stayed queit for a long while. Until the woman decided to break the ice.

"What's your name?"

"Huh?"

"The thing people called you by! Your name! What is it?"

"Oh, um...Eiji. Eiji Nakumari."

"That's different. My name is Summer Rose! It's nice to meet you!"

"N-nice to meet you too..."

Meanwhile, in a secret Atlas Base in Remnant, a few scientists in white coats were analyzing something in a giant tube filled with green liquid, and an object in the middle. It was in the shape of a person, but it didn't have any actual features. One of the scientists spoke up.

"Activate the Cannon."

After one pulled a lever, a bright blue light shot up into the sky. The sky darkened, despite it being night, and dark clouds drew over the area.

Back in the Land of Ending, Eiji and Summer started glowing.

"What's going on? It feels like someone's calling me..." Eiji wondered aloud.

"I dunno...huh?!"

A bright white light came from Summer's chest. It looks like a half circle. The same happened with Eiji, with the same half circle. They figured, "Why not?", and pushed the two shapes together. Then everything went white.

Back in Remnant, one of the scientists noticed a red dot on their location. Then it turned green.

"Sir! We've got energy readings coming straight for us! If our trajectory is right, it's aiming directly at the puppet!"

"Let it hit. Bring up the electrical barriers if needed."

The blue light sucked in a tiny white circle. It flew down into the base and directly onto the puppet inside of the tank. Then everything went white.

After the smoke cleared and the light died down, they saw the puppet, but in a different way.

It was a boy. With spiky, black hair with red highlights. They wore a black shirt with a red, short sleeve jacket. The jacket had a black hood, and a symbol of a crossed out, white rose on the back. It also had two black pockets.

He also wore black pants with a silver colored belt, that had the same crossed out rose on the side. He also wore knee high, black boots with red padding on the bottom, with slight heel.

The scientists rejoiced. "We've finally found one, sir! An actual soul!"

"Indeed we have." The man smiled.

The boy opened his eyes. One was light blue, and the other was silver. He started suffocating.

"Drain the Life Water."

The green liquid was drained, and the tank opened. The boy fell out, coughing. A few of the scientists came in with blankets and a bottle of Gatorade. The blankets wrapped around him, and he sipped his drink with a straw. After he was done, he looked at the man in charge. But he didn't get much of a good look before they heard banging at the door.

"Damn. Take the puppet as far away from here as possible. Now!"

The door opened, Atlas military soldiers with guns starting to run through the place. The scientists that were with him carried him out into the forest and on an airship, where they flew away to Vale, leaving the base unnoticed.

Chapter 1: Identity

As they flew, he slowly got more and more scared. He started shaking, even with the blankets. He remembered everything that happened in the Land of Ending, and he think he fused with Summer and ended up here, where he immediately started drowning, and five minutes after, was on the run from people with guns. So to say the day's gotten him shaken up would be an understatement.

One of the scientists on board walked up to him.

"You're probably really confused and scared right now...right?"

The boy nodded.

"It's alright. We're on our way to Vale, and all of your questions will be answered."

He nodded again and stayed silent. Why? Because Summer was talking to him. Through his mind."What just happened?! We were in the Land of Ending, and then we became glow sticks, then we end up sharing the same body! Am I the only one confused right now?!"

"M-Ms. Summer, please calm down...my head is starting to hurt..."

"Oh! Sorry! I guess it's just been really crazy, these past few minutes. I need to do some thinking too."

After a bit, another came up to him with a clipboard in hand.

"How old are you kid?"

"I-I'm seven years o-old..."

They seemed a bit surprised, but moved on.

"Date of birth?"

"April 19th...um...what year is it?"

"We'll just put in the date. Now, what's your name?"

"Ei... Eiji Nakumari..."

"Hm...that name won't work around here. Let's see...how about...Crimson Kuro?"

"U-um...okay..."

"Now, one more thing: have your eyes always been two different colors?"

"Um..."

"Don't let them know about me. Just say yes.""Yes...as long as I can remember..."

"Good to know. We will be in Vale shortly. We have someone we need to show you to."

They walked away, leaving the boy to his thoughts.

"Wh-why did you make me lie, Ms. Summer?"

"Because it'd cause suspicion. And attention we don't want."

"But...lying is wrong..."

"I know..."

He soon felt the aircraft land, and they carried him out. They took him to a large building, that seemed almost like a castle. They went up to the front door and knocked, handing the boy a file with his information.

"Listen... we're sorry we have to leave you so soon...but we can't risk getting caught. We'll send you another file in a few months, don't let anyone see it. May we meet again someday, our Puppet."

They left back to the airship and flew from sight, almost as soon as the door opened. Crimson saw a man wearing green with white hair and glasses. He had a cane with him. Summer gasped in Crimson's head.

"Oh my. What's a young child like you doing all the way here?"

"I... don't know..."

"Hm, let's get you inside. It isn't safe for a child out here at night."

He lead him inside. They start walking.

"My name is Ozpin, I am the owner of this school."

"So that's what this is...I thought it was a castle."

"My assistant, Ms. Goodwitch, is away at home at the moment, so it is only us."

They went inside of an elevator and started going up. After a few seconds, they got off and entered his office. He turned on the lights, and brought out a plate of cookies. He set them down in front of the boy.

"Ooh, I love cookies!" Summer squealed.

He nervously ate one. Then another.

"May I take a look at these files, young man?"

"Okie...these are really good..."

As he ate cookies, Ozpin looked at his information. After a bit, he put them down to see the boy silently sleeping in the chair. Ozpin smiled and put a pillow behind his head.

"Goodnight, Mr. Kuro. Maybe I'll get to know you a bit more tommorow morning."

He then got his own blanket and fell asleep in his office chair.

You can't tell me that's where Ozzy doesn't sleep. Anyway, yeah, this one is a little fast paced, but then again, it's like 6 in the morning, so yeah. Our new protagonist, Eiji, and Ruby Rose's deceased mother, Summer, have basically merged souls by accident and found the puppet's empty body to stay in, creating Crimson Kuro. If you like this so far, well, thanks! I'll flesh everything out a bit more in the next chapter. And stay safe!
