"You want what?" Blaine stared at his phone, stunned.

"Yup, you just got that right, Blaine", Sebastian said, even over the phone, he could hear his smirk. "One date, and I will leave you alone, I promise."

"Do you really think I trust you- after everything you have done to me in the past?", Blaine hissed irritatedly.

"I never broke my promises, and you know that. Yes, I may be a cheater, but I stick to my promises. One date, Blaine. And after that, you will never hear of me again if you want me to."

Blaine started thinking. He and Sebastian would never become a couple ever again, so there was nothing he should be afraid of. And if he stuck to his word and left them alone, it would totally be worth it. So he nodded with a sigh. "Okay, Seb. One date, but that's all."

Sebastian delightedly clapped his hands. "Perfect. You are not going to regret it, sexy", he purred, but Blaine just suppressed a groan and hung up.

"Who did you just talk to?", Kurt asked curiously when he entered the guest room with his Vogue magazine and took a seat on the bed.

"Sebastian", Blaine explained with a frown. "He will leave Lima, but only if I'm willing to go on a date with him."

Kurt narrowed his eyes. "Just when I thought that guy can't turn more unsympathetic…"

"I will just play along and do what he wants", Blaine told him and pensively looked out of the window. "Only this way, I can get rid of him for good." He groaned and slumped down to the chair next to where he had been standing. "Gosh, sometimes, he is worse than dad, and that really means something."

"Is your dad really as bad as all the tales say?", Kurt asked so that they finally changed to topic.

"Worse." Blaine absentmindedly played with his red bowtie, and Kurt wondered how the son of the devil could dress like that. "Long before I was born, he used to crush on that half-goddess he always called Thea. They had a short affair and I'm sure he even cheated on mom a couple of times with her when they were already married. But everything changed when Thea fell for someone else. She got married to that other man and founded a family with him, much to Lucifer's disdain."

"And then?"

"Well, as soon as she got married, she dumped my father. She said she loved someone else, and dad was heartbroken and frustrated as hell."

"Let me guess, he killed her and her family?"

Blaine nodded. "Of course. According to the media, only Thea's husband survived the car accident he must have caused indirectly. Cooper thinks that dad hired a hitman that manipulated the brakes of their car. "

"But if that woman was partly a goddess, wasn't she supposed to be immortal or something?", Kurt asked curiously.

"Not really", he answered. "Halfbloods are only partly immortal. They cannot get sick and don't really age, so they won't die of old age, but they can indeed get killed." Blaine shook his head. "I'm aware I'm no saint, but even I think he went too far that time. I feel sorry for her husband."

"I agree with you", Kurt muttered and crossed his arms disdainfully. "You father should feel ashamed. Just because that woman didn't requite his feelings doesn't mean that he had the right to kill her and her children."

A couple of months ago, Blaine would have answered him back. He would have said that his dad had been right and that no one should be allowed to break the heart of a powerful demon king. But today, he saw things differently.

Maybe Sebastian was right. Maybe he really had changed without having noticed.

The sun had already set when Blaine got dressed for his "date" with Sebastian. He had decided on his least favorite black bowtie with a white button up shirt, a grey cardigan, and blue pants. After all, he was going to have dinner with his least favorite ex, why bother to choose a perfect outfit?

Carole and Burt went to the movies and were not going to be home soon, so the boys had the house to themselves.

"And why exactly do you want to go on a date with your ex you are supposed to hate?", Finn asked him before he went out of the door. He was leaning against the counter of the kitchen and sipping on his Coca Cola can, waiting for the demon's answer expectantly.

"That's none of your business", Kurt answered for Blaine before he could open his mouth. "Blaine just lost a bet, that's all."

Finn scratched his head in confusion. "What bet?"

Why was Finn so curious lately? He normally didn't care about what he and Kurt were doing all the time, but since the incident with Sebastian's pets, he had started to pose annoying questions and spied on them once in a while. Could it be that he had seen anything suspicious that day?

"That's a long story", Blaine decided to answer and checked his watch. "Oh, I need to leave. I hope you don't mind if I take your car?", he asked Kurt. Actually, he could have just compelled a human so that he or she gave him his/her car voluntarily, but now, he was a sincere citizen that didn't play dirty anymore and abuse his powers.

"But don't even think about wrecking it, or else, you are going to pay", Kurt warned him and handed him his keys.

Blaine frowned. With his tons of pocket money he got every month, he could actually buy him a brand-new car – not that Kurt would ever accept it. But to be honest, he knew that his father earned all the money by harming humans and/or other supernatural beings – that's why he considered not to use that money from now on. Whether he could find a job here in Lima to earn his own pocket money one day? He made a mental note to ask Kurt about it later.

Before he walked out of the door, Kurt shortly touched his arm. "Be careful around Sebastian, who knows what he is plotting."

"Aww…are you actually worried about me?", Blaine teased him and put his hand on his chest.

Kurt shortly shook his head. "I just touched you so that I can get your powers, remember?" Right, whenever Kurt touched him, or the girls, he was able to use their powers for a couple of hours – before the effect wore off and he lost them again. Blaine wondered whether that was another zombie-thing he didn't know about – but they would look into that matter another time. Now, he really needed to get going or else, Sebastian might think he ditched him and was going to hurt innocents. Back then, he didn't care about that, but today, he did – funny what that timeout among non-demons had done to him.

So Blaine waved at the other two boys before he left.

Once he was gone, Finn turned to Kurt with a questioning face expression. "Ever since he is here, you were starting to act off. What are you keeping from me? And since when do you spend time with my girlfriend and my bros voluntarily?"

Finn was surely talking about that time when they needed to fight the firewolves Sebastian had summoned. And Kurt had been so naïve to think that he was going to forget it and assume that it had been a dream, or an imagination.

"I have no idea what you are talking about", Kurt tried to talk himself out of it. "Mind your own business, Finn." Whether Finn was about to find out their secret? There was no way he could find out about the existence of monsters.

For a while, Finn was just throwing him scrutinizing glances – until he shrugged and turned away. "I'm hungry." He went to the fridge, searching for something to eat, and Kurt sighed a breath of relief. At least, that was going to keep him distracted for a while.

With a scowl, Blaine looked down the menu of Breadstixx while Sebastian on his opposite happily sipped on his Courvoisier (He compelled the waitress so that she turned a blind eye and served him alcohol even though he was underage). He was so not okay with this, but unfortunately, he needed to play along so that Sebastian left him alone, once and for all.

"When was the last time the two of us have been alone, Blaine?", Sebastian asked with a smirk.

"Exactly five months ago", Blaine answered dryly. "Before I caught you red handed, once again."

"Oh, I forgot." Sebastian amusedly took another sip of his Courvoisier. "But let's forget the past, okay? Let's live in the present."

"Not even in the present, you are able to stay faithful", Blaine growled when he caught Sebastian stare at the waiter's butt.

Sebastian looked back at him, confused. "Sorry, what did you just say?"

Blaine let out a quiet groan and drank a big gulp of his lemonade. He had no idea how he was supposed to make it through dinner without biting off Sebastian's head or setting his goddamn butt on fire, especially because Sebastian wasn't even trying to be considerate. Yup, this was going to be a long evening.

Kurt eventually decided to watch a movie on Netflix. When he had curled up on the living room's sofa with a bowl of low-carb chips and was about to choose one, Finn came down the stairs again, but he kind of looked agitated.

"Are you still hungry?", Kurt asked him with cocked eyebrows. A couple of minutes ago, Finn had devoured all the leftovers from the fridge, especially the meat. But Kurt just assumed that his ravenous appetite was caused by his athlete-metabolism.

Finn, however, shook his head. "No." He nodded to the TV. "What are you watching?"

"I don't know yet", Kurt shrugged. "I guess it will be Project Runway again. Nowadays, all the Blockbusters are bad." He noticed that Finn wasn't quite listening, so he pouted. "I know we don't have the same taste in movies, but you could at least pretend you are interested."

"That's not it", Finn answered absentmindedly and stared out of the window. Kurt followed his glance. Outside, the sky was pitch-black, only the bright full moon was illuminating the night. For some reason, Finn kept staring at the sky, and Kurt wondered what could be so interesting to stare at.

"What is it, then? Are you okay?", Kurt asked him worriedly when the other boy didn't react. Whether Quinn broke up with him again? Their relationship issues were slowly getting annoying.

Suddenly, Finn let out a painful scream and fell to the floor. Kurt immediately jumped up and rushed over to him.

"Finn? Hey, what's wrong?" Horror-stricken, he looked at the other boy who squirmed in pain. "Finn? Please, say something! Finn!" But Finn just groaned in pain and breathed heavily while he held his stomach.

Kurt panickily looked around. Shall he call 911? Was Finn going to die? But why? As far as he knew, he had no pre-existing illnesses. Right?

When he was about to retrieve his phone, something else happened. Suddenly, Finn's clothes ripped when his limbs became brawnier and his nails became longer and sharper as well.

"Oh my gosh!" Beyond shocked, Kurt gasped for air, he just couldn't believe his eyes – because in the next moment, a large wolf was standing in front of him, but not just any wolf. It was a firewolf. That lunged at him to attack him. "Finn, stop!", he shouted, but of course, he was ignored. Luckily, Kurt was fast enough to dodge his attack, and the firewolf-Finn-crashed into their table lamp.

"Hey!", Kurt complained. "That lamp belonged to grandma. You could at least be careful while you are trying to kill me", he muttered, but Finn threw him a belligerent glance before he tried to attack him again. Kurt paled. What was he going to do now? That firewolf was twice the size of him, plus, he was stronger. But what if he fled now? He had no idea what had happened to Finn, but he could not allow that he attacked -or killed- innocent people. He needed to put him down somehow. If only he knew how to defeat a firewolf…

That's when Kurt got an idea. He looked down his ringfinger. Until now, he still had no opportunity to return Mercedes' scepter, so he still wore her ring. At least, he was not going to be that defenseless.

He whistled, and Finn turned to him. "Catch me if you can!", he shouted and started running towards the door in high speed, Finn followed him with a growl.
