Chapter 40
At night Rollan walked Gerda back to the youth home after their date at the prom night of their school.
„What a night," Commented Rollan making Gerda smile amused at his statement. „Is it just me or is it getting a little colder?"
„It really is. I have to admit," Confessed Gerda placing her hands on her arms. „I didn't think about bringing a jacket. I was so anxious about this evening,"
„So was I" Added Rollan. „I wasn't planning to bring one thought. Wasn't also expecting to feel a little cold,"
„We're almost at the home. I can borrow you a jacket, so you won't freeze for the rest of the way,"
„You don't have to,"
„I know, but I want. You treated me almost like a queen tonight, at least let me do you this favor," Begged Gerda making Rollan nod.
„Sure, maybe it's not a bad idea," Replied Rollan making Gerda chuckle and grab him with both hands on his arm.
„Thanks for this wonderful evening, Rollan. I had so much joy with you,"
„At your service," Responded Rollan watching Gerda lean her head on his shoulder looking up at their way seeing, that they were just a few steps away from the youth home. „Here we are," Announced Rollan stopping there along with Gerda.
„Thanks for the lovely evening, Rollan," Thanked Gerda looking up at the boy, which still had the crown upon his head. „Or should I say…..prince,"
„I'll take this down or people will assume I'm a dork or something," Commented Rollan taking the crown down, while Gerda shook her head.
„It says winner on it, I don't think you'll get made fun of it," Commented the blonde making Rollan shrug his shoulders.
„Possible," Agreed Rollan, then he removed from the buttons of his shirt the rose he had shoved in to hand it out to Gerda. „Here, do you want to keep this?" Questioned Rollan making Gerda smile and accept the rose.
„Gracias….dulce," Commented Gerda making Rollan smile cheekily at Gerda's comment.
„For a person, you have to say mi querido or the female version is mi querida. Or to make it easier, you just can say mi Amor," Explained Rollan making Gerda nod and lean her face on Rollan's to peck him on the lips. „Gracias, mi amor," Said Gerda giving Rollan a longer kiss on the lips, then the door of the entrance opened up shrieking Rollan, which got off Gerda and the two saw at the entrance Carmen from the youth home stand there in her dress.
„Oh good you arrived," Commented Carmen making Gerda nod, which looked at Rollan, that was a little relieved it wasn't an authority person. „That's Rollan?" Asked Carmen making Gerda nod, then he bowed down at the teenage girl. „Eres muy hermoso. Gerda habló mucho de ti," Spoke Carmen making Rollan turn a little pink on his face, while Gerda felt a little embarrassed.
„She's from Spain, right?" Asked Gerda.
„I'm actually from both Spain and Ecuador. My dad was from Sevilla and my mom from Cuenca,"
„Ah, yo soy de Alicante," Stated Rollan making Carmen smile, then look at Gerda, which was smiling at the two Hispanics.
„We better speak English, Gerda needs to understand us,"
„It was fine for me, don't worry," Assured Gerda, then she got to Rollan and placed her fingers on the lapels of his collar to kiss him on the lips. „Duerme bien," Wished Gerda, followed by Rollan ribbing his nose gently on the girl, which got down with her hands at his waiting for him to speak ."Buenas noches, dulce sueños" Wished Rollan, then Gerda slipped out of his hands to return into the building followed by the Latina, which closed the door behind her. From Rollan's pocket, Coal looked out, then fell down at the ground breaking into two and looked aside to see Slinky stay there looking at the door.
„Well, well, well Romeo. You finally kissed your Juliet. That's been taking a while," Said Slinky, then looked at Coal getting up to look at the Spaniard, which was looking with a smile at the door.
„Come on, it's time to go home. Tomorrow is a new day and you might be able to see her again," Said Coal making Rollan nod, which moved further followed by the two stone-spirits.
Up, Gerda had arrived in her bedroom and threw herself on the bed to sigh in relief.
„This was the best night ever!" Announced Gerda happily, while on the other bed sat Fabienne, which was on her smartphone texting somebody.
„Congratulations," Said Fabienne, then heard someone knock on the door and saw Kai there at the entrance looking at the two girls.
„Can I come in?" Asked Kai earning a nod from Fabienne, then Kai went to his sister, which got up to remove her shoes. „How was your night?"
„Fantastic!" Commented Gerda happy. „I don't remember when I was the last time so happy. You had to be there Kai. Rollan alined in dancing with me on the floor although we both were unfamiliar with the modern dance styles and feared being made fun of. He confesses, that he fears being made fun of, but nothing happened and we both danced weirdly as the others were doing,"
„Okay, that sounds funny,"
„It was an entertaining night," Commented Gerda turning red on her cheeks. „After a break, we took a few pictures and Rollan asked me for my hand to waltz with him along the floor to slow music and it felt so dreamy. It's like I was in a dream, where everything we were doing just worked out so well as if we had practiced it together before," Explained Gerda as her brother listened to her. „I have never seen him like this before. So patient and tender,"
Kai looked down at the ground, listening to his sister, recognizing inside her voice the honesty and the infatuation she had for the Spaniard, then sighs.
„His charm…..it was so irresistible. I looked at his face this entire evening and all I wanted to do was to kiss it. I've put an amount of effort to stay back and wait for the perfect moment, that I ended up forgetting it, then did it by instinct," Explained Gerda, then looked at her brother, which looked sad and she got neutral and placed her hand on Kai's shoulder. „Are you alright?"
„Yes…..yes I am…..I just….feels weird to know you're in love with someone and therefore, when we were together it was just you and me, you know, brother and sister," Kai made up making Gerda nod.
„We're now back together Kai. I promise I will also have time for you. Rollan understands it. He knows how much family means to me,"
„Okay," Commented Kai getting up. „I…..just wanted to make sure you had a good evening,"
„Thank you. See you tomorrow" Said Gerda trying to pull out her dress as Kai got out of the bedroom.
„See you tomorrow, good night," Wished Kai closing the door, then encountered Alfida a few steps away from him in a blue pajama with ships on it.
„And?" Asked Alfida. „Didn't you tell her what happened?" Questioned the raven-haired girl making Kai shake his head.
„I can't do that...It would just break her heart now. She's really enchanted by Rollan. I don't want to ruin this when this makes her happy,"
„Well we sort of knew this could have happened," Commented Alfida placing her hand over Kai's shoulder. „Look we just keep this for us for a little while and discuss later on, if it's worth talking about or not,"
„Sure, I think that's good for now," Commented Kai, then got pecked on his forehead by the girl. „You haven't said anything about us, right?"
„Not yet,"
„Alright, there's time for everything. If you don't mind, I'm going back to bed and see if I can sleep. I'm so not used to sleeping on a mattress," Commented Alfida making Kai chuckle.
„I've slept in many variations of beds I'm kind of used to it," Stated Kai making Alfida chuckle, which patted the boy on his head and made her way back to a room, which had the door open and closed after entering.
At dawn, Rollan lied with his face against the pillow sleeping, and on the ground sat Coal along with Slinky napping together in front of Rollan's phone, which had its display turned on giving out a warning of an akuma attack. Due to the phone being on mute, no one heard the warning and kept resting. Rollan moved around on the bed, dropping his one arm on the floor, nearly touching the stone spirits, which were at rest. Slinky yawned while stretching his arms and looked behind to see the position Rollan was in and chuckled. He got up, then looked at the smartphone, which was illuminated, and saw that at the moment it was 6:04, down under it hand a banner with the notice akuma alert at rue de la cathedral, beware giant toddler with a candy cane.
„That's one strange villain," Commented Slinky, then grabbed Rollan on his finger making him shut his eyes up and hiss as the touch of the spirit burnt his finger, then shove his finger into his mouth. „I'm sorry for waking you up like that, but your magical portal thing speaks about a giant villain I think," Spoke Slinky, then Rollan sat down on the ground to pick up the smartphone to see the notification came 56 minutes ago.
„This message came almost an hour ago. Maybe I'll go check it out, just to be sure if there's some help needed," Commented Rollan getting up, while Slinks woke up Coal and the Spaniard waited for the two to get ready.
„What happened? Is there a new job for us?" Asked Coal looking up at his holder, then frowned. „Hey…..uh you've got something there in your underwear," Commented Coal watching Rollan roll his eyes down, then sat down on the bed immediately.
„That's not funny, Coal!" Commented Rollan annoyed, while the charcoal-shaped spirit shrugged his arms.
„I have no idea, what you're talking about. I'm just warning you. It could be a cockroach, a cat, or something like that,"
„That's a natural incident on us males! Could we just focus on the task now?" Asked the raven-haired boy making the spirits nod and salute at their holder. „Thank you….Coal, I'm fired up!" Shouted Rollan transforming into Fire King.
At the youth home, Snowflake sat at the window watching the sun at the end of the sky, slowly rising up, then she looked back at her holder, which had her hands wrapped around the pillow as she slept peacefully. Snowflake flew at the forehead of the girl, then patted her watching her groan softly making the spirit smile.
The night table next to Gerda had her smartphone on it, which began to vibrate as it received a notification, afterward Snowflake checked it out to see it was an akuma alert, then she picked up the smartphone and placed it on the pillow near Gerda's hands.
„Psst Gerda wake up," Whispered Snowflake seeing the girl didn't wake up, then she placed her hands on Gerda's face pushing on her gently, making the girl slowly open her eyes to see the smartphone. She rubbed her eyes with her first, squinting her eyes to see what was on it and she recognized, that it was an alert.
„Oh gosh we have to leave," Commented Gerda standing up in her pajama, then she looked around to see her friend Fabienne sleeping and she ran out of her bedroom to see, the corridor was empty and she stepped away from the door to announce her transformation phrase. „Snowflake, Freeze!" Shouted Gerda transforming into the superheroine Lady Frost, then ran along the corridor at the window, then made herself a slide out of ice to slide down on the ground and race along the street and used her ice power to create herself a path to slide on it to get faster and arrive the Seine and spotted on the island, where the Notre Dame was located a giant baby dropping it's large candy and falling on its butt.
Lady Frost arrived at the bridge, then saw Cat Noir cataclysm the corsage of the baby, while Ladybug grabbed with her yo-yo the candy to push it down hard against the ground. Lady Frost arrives at the scenario to see Gigantitan turn into a baby and land on Cat Noir's arms, which stuck out his tongue at the baby.
„Peek-a-Boo!" Blurted out the blonde, making Lady Frost chuckle as she saw the baby, then waved at it.
„Hey little guy," Greeted Lady Frost, then Cat Noir let the girl tickle the baby on his hands making it giggle.
„Lady Frost, have you seen Fire King somewhere?" Asked Ladybug making Lady Frost shake her head.
„I haven't seen him since….a... a few days ago," Answered Lady Frost. „Did something happen?"
„No, but did he talk to you today or yesterday?" Questioned Cat Noir making the blonde shake her head.
„Did something happen?" Asked Lady Frost a little worried, then Ladybug shook her head.
„Do you remember the issues Fire King had with the miraculous, that made him enter into terrible pain?" Asked the blue-haired heroine making the rookie nod. „I met a man, which was responsible for creating your and Fire King's miraculous and according to him, there is this risk that Fire King and even you could lose your will over your own body to serve an evil spirit," Explained Ladybug. „I think what we've seen last time with Fire King was the begin of that, what the monk told."
„Really?" Asked Lady Frost worried, then she looked at Cat Noir, which looked neutral at the girl. „I haven't felt anything on me before. Do I really have to give out mines as well?"
„I have seen you're been doing well and didn't seem to have any issue with it. Maybe it's just Fire King's issue," Commented Ladybug. „But I got no choice. I have to retrieve them back. They're based on bad energy and I can't risk Paris' citizen's lives when something really happens with you or Fire King. Over a century ago this already happened to two other humans, that lost their humanity to these spirits. We don't want this to happen to you or Fire King, mostly when there's no way back,"
„Okay, I really don't want to make any chaos," Stated Lady Frost, then heard Fire King call for the team, which stopped on the other side of the bridge tired from running.
„Great to show up, when everything's done!" Yelled Cat Noir showing Fire King the baby, making the superhero nod, which sat down on the ground tired. „Hey, get up here," Ordered Cat Noir making Fire King shake his head.
„Let me rest! I have only slept for about 4 hours," Commented the redhead making Cat Noir snort.
„I've slept for 3 and a half," Added Cat Noir.
„And I only slept two, I won," Added Ladybug making Lady Frost chuckle. „Girls, I'll be right back, I'll bring Auguste back home and eventually charge on my way back here," Announced Cat Noir running away with the boy, then leaped up at the cathedral disappearing behind the tower, then Lady Frost made her way to the Spaniard and watched him get up on his feet to wipe road dust off his butt.
„We haven't seen us for a little while. How are you doing?" Asked Lady Frost watching Fire King stretch his arms while yawning.
„I had one of the best evenings yesterday," Stated Fire King proud making Lady Frost smile.
„Wow, you got really quick over it," Mentioned Lady Frost surprised at Fire King's story.
„You know, I think I didn't really love you the way I thought I did," Commented Fire King scratching the back of his neck. „I was glad to be able to see you every day and couldn't wait to be with you, but after yesterday I began to understand, that this was just a phase,"
„But you've found someone else, worth your attention or did I misinterpret it?"
„She's been interested in me for a little while, I just never noticed it before and this chance came up for us, then we came closer and…...got wrapped up with each other,"
„That's great King. If you're interested to listen to... I went out with my crush out yesterday and it was romantic as well. You had to see it. The way we both danced together on the dance floor, how he handled me. I think it couldn't have been better,"
„I saw your….romantic interest the other day down at the bridge and he didn't quite look like someone to be confident around girls. Or this is just my assumption,"
„Bridge?" Asked Lady Frost confused. „You were the only one at the bridge I had spoken to,"
„Really?" Asked Fire King lifting his left eyebrow. „But who was the redhead I saw embracing you?" Questioned the redhead seeing Lady Frost furrow her eyebrows at Fire King's question.
„Are you sure, that's what you saw?" Asked the blonde making Fire King nod.
„I could speak to Cat Noir and Rena Rouge…..I was comforted by Cat Noir as you rejected me and I had seen you with that redhead…..He actually believed me or…..I'm getting confused,"
„Alright, calm down. I will speak to Cat Noir when he returns," Promised Lady Frost, then Ladybug approached the duo placing her hands on the shoulder of the two.
„Hey you two, I need to see you in about a half hour at the Trocadero, we need to talk," Asked Ladybug making the duo nod. „Good I will have to charge, then we see us there,"
„See you later," Spoke Lady Frost watching Ladybug use her yo-yo to leave.
„Bye," Added Fire King watching the superheroine leave, then Fire King's stomach began to growl catching Lady Frost's attention.
„What was that?"
„I'm hungry. I haven't eaten dinner yesterday," Stated Fire King making Lady Frost curious.
„Why not?"
„I wasn't hungry at the time I arrived home and just went to bed," Answered Fire King.
„Well, then you better go out and get yourself something to eat," Suggested Lady Frost making the hero nod.
„Want something as well?" Asked Fire King making the blonde shake her head. „Or you know what, I bring us all croissants or anything else,"
„That's a sweet idea," Agreed Lady Frost making Fire King smile, which saluted with his index and middle finger at the girl, then ran off. Lady Frost smiled, then created on the ground an ice path to follow the road along the Notre Dame as Fire King ran along the road across the crossroad heading to the next road junction turning around it, then shrieked as a car appeared honking loud, causing Fire King to jump to crash against the windshield of the car, getting catapulted on the ground. During the hit, the car had managed to pull the brake and turn its emergency lights on.
Fire King lied on the ground senseless, thereafter from both sides of the car stepped out the two adults Nathalie Sancoueur and Gabriel Agreste, looked at each other before approaching the citizen. Nathalie stepped further, then got surprised as she saw the superhero Fire King lied on the ground. Gabriel stepped closer as he noticed Nathalie's facial expression and dropped his chin.
„We've hit a superhero?" Asked Gabriel surprised making Nathalie nod, then Gabriel went down on his knees to see the state of the superhero and nudged him gently on his face. Gabriel approached his ear to the boy's face, sensing, that he was breathing, and got up. „He's breathing,"
„What shall we do?" Questioned Nathalie watching Gabriel put his hand on the belt of the superhero then pulled it making the boy move his hip up. Gabriel shrieked at hearing the boy groan, then Nathalie stepped aside to the car to observe Fire King get back to his senses and open his eyes.
„Are…..are you alright?" Asked Gabriel waiting for an answer from the redhead.
„I'm sorry….I didn't see the car coming," Commented Fire King, then Gabriel looked at the car to see a small stroke on the windshield. „Was that my damage?"
„Yeah. I don't think you need to worry about it. I've got insurance for it," Explained Gabriel, then looked down at the miraculous of the boy. „You've got a very stylish belt. What does the R stand for?" Asked Gabriel curious, making Fire King ponder about it.
„Uh Fire in…..Latin?" Answered Fire King unsure making Gabriel chuckle.
„Are you sure?" Asked making the hero shrug his shoulders.
„It always had it,"
„I thought it had an interesting origin story," Mentioned Gabriel. „Can I take a closer look at it?" Asked Gabriel slowly reaching his hand on it, making Fire King a little uncomfortable, which grabbed the man on the arm.
„S...sorry, I fell uncomfortable," Commented Fire King making Gabriel nod, then glanced at Nathalie, which approached from behind with a wheel wrench and she swung the wrench against Fire King's head causing his head to light up the fire for a moment before getting knocked out making Gabriel jump back in shock.
„I wasn't expecting your hit to be so fierce," Stated Gabriel, then looked around to see if anyone was around and Nathalie opened the door over the sidewalk to block the view and noticed on the other side of the road a car turning to the opposite direction, then she pointed to an alley in the near and she grabbed along with Gabriel on Fire King's body to carry him into the alley, then dropped him on the ground.
„Are you going to take his miraculous?" Asked Nathalie making Gabriel nod, which moved his hands at the belt of the superhero, then stopped and smiled brightly as he had a different idea.
„Wait a moment….I've got an idea," Said Gabriel getting up, leaving the belt untouched. „Let's get back home and keep a drone here to observe him. We tie him up somewhere here and wait until he obtains a negative emotion and we use it to akumatize him. What do you think about this idea?"
„This sounds more successful than the Miss Fortune version," Commented Nathalie, then Gabriel looked out of the alley to see if anyone was around and watched Nathalie return to the back of the car to open up the reserve wheel compartment of the trunk to take out a few snow chains, then pulled Fire King back by his collar and Gabriel observed her.
„What are you up to?" Questioned Gabriel watching Nathalie lean him against the hydrant and pulled one chain around Fire King's waist. Gabriel understood her plan and picked up a second chain to put it up around Fire King's shoulder while Nathalie carefully tied on around the hydrant and Fire King's head.
„All of them are regularly tight around the hydrant and him. The fourth one...I've got…...maybe,…...I put it around his feet to make it harder for him to escape," Stated Nathalie receiving from Gabriel help to fasten it around the legs of the superhero.
Nathalie got up along with Gabriel, then approached their car and Nathalie noticed a bunch of large trash bins, then opened one of them to see it was empty and it had a sheet stuck on it with its last sanitation. Nathalie whistled to call Gabriel's attention, then she pointed with the opening at the superhero earning a nod from the adult, which helped the woman carry the bin up and dropped it at the head of the superhero losing it quickly due to its weight, causing a loud noise.
„Let's get out of here!" Ordered Gabriel in panic running into the co-driver seat, while Nathalie got to the other side and drove the vehicle off leaving the superhero back.
Ladybug, Cat Noir, Rena Rouge, and Lady Frost had reunited together at the top of the Trocadero sitting in a circle looking towards each other. Rena Rouge had in her hand a paper cup of coffee, while Cat Noir had one as well, but made of plastic, which had his cat print on it.
„Good, that you all have come," Commented Ladybug, then Rena Rouge lifted her cup up.
„Great to have you back," Added Rena Rouge earning a nod from Cat Noir.
„Thanks. I'm glad Tikki is alright and that I can use my miraculous again. I have called you, cause yesterday I was visited by the master guardian along with the monk, who's familiar with Lady Frost and Fire King's power,"
„Really?" Asked Rena Rouge curious. „Who is that guy?"
„I don't know, but we're here to discuss the elephant in the room, not who the guy is…...You and Cat Noir remember the other day Fire King entered into a state of terrible pain, where Cat Noir carried him away and dropped off his transformation because he couldn't bear the pain he felt?"
„Yeah, why isn't he here?" Asked Cat Noir, then Ladybug widened her eyes noticing he wasn't around.
„I don't know. Lady Frost? Where is he?" Questioned the blue-haired heroine.
„I don't know. Before he left he said he would bring some croissants and that has been probably a half hour ago or more," Answered Lady Frost looking around to see nothing from the friend to see. „He said he would get here and offer us one,"
„Mmh," Commented Cat Noir licking his lips.
„I hope he's just delayed," Mentioned Ladybug. „About Fire King's issue, there's a possibility according to the monk, that Fire King or even Lady Frost might lose control over their miraculouses, which actually contain the powers of the past supervillains Snow Queen and Fire Demon. Fire King's attacks on himself have been one of the first symptoms and there was a moment according to the monk, that if you see one of the old amateur videos of him fighting Mindreader his eyes switch back for short into a fiery-red tone and is interrupted after an incident,"
„I remember that fight. After he fell down he seemed in pain and held his hand in front of his head or so. I think he had been gone for a while. He hadn't noticed that something happened to him,"
„What will happen, if Fire King or even Lady Frost lose their control? And how will they exactly? I don't understand,"
„I don't know exactly what, but from what the monk said, it must be worse than fighting someone akumatized or under the influence of an amok,"
„We won't let anything happen to the two, Ladybug. I promise," Commented Cat Noir getting up. „And now, that we're here. I will go look for him as himself and as Fire King,"
„I will see if he's around the Notre Dame, where I last saw him," Offered Lady Frost getting up, then Ladybug grabbed the girl by the shoulder.
„But your miraculous," Warned Ladybug making the Norwegian heroine nod.
„I know, Ladybug. But Fire King is my friend too. He's most likely to listen to me, due to his higher confidence in me. I promise I won't use the miraculous, only when I find him I'll take the form on again,"
„Be careful," Warned Ladybug making the blue-dressed girl nod.
„I will," Promised Lady Frost, then jumped down of the Trocadero at the ground afterward Ladybug looked at her two close friends.
„Guys, let's split up and go into different directions. From now on, we stay in the 18th arrondissement and we phone each other about our findings and whatnot," Explained Ladybug making the friends nod and the trio split up going into the mentioned area in different ways.
Fire King remained stuck inside the trash bin, then groaned as he returned back into his conscience.
„Argh ouch, what happened?" Asked Fire King himself, then the chains on him rattle making Fire King confused. „What? Where am I?"
Fire King tried to use his arms to extend the chains around him, but they were too tight on him, making it impossible for him to free himself. „Are you kidding me?" Asked Fire King noticing his echo inside the bin. „Hello! Get me out of here!" I'm not scared of the dark, I'm…...wait….." Stopped Fire King, then he turned on the fire on his head to see he was inside a half-cleaned trash bin, making him frown his face.
„A container?" Asked Fire King confused. „Whoever locked me up in here! I'm going to get out of here, you'll see it!" Warned Fire King, then lightened up his head to burn over his head on the top hoping to make a hole on it. „Argggh!" Cried the Spaniard taking a short break after his attempt had failed. He frowned annoyed, then tried to use the fire above his hair, he had just summoned to open the can above him, making him with the time angrier at his low chances of success.
"Let me out of here!" Barked Fire King with the flames above his head getting higher, then he yelled as inside the cane he began to feel extremely hot. "Help me!"
Fire King used his hands against the hydrant to activate his fire against it and he groaned as he had injured himself on his back with the hydrant. "What is even the point of this?!,"
Fire King used his feet to create fire, which again was useless to free him from the trash bin.
"Te alcanzaré!" Cried the superhero in his native language and a few roads away Lady Frost showed up back at the road she had met Fire King before, thereafter glanced around the place to see any clue of her friend.
"He must be inside some bakery. He couldn't have gotten too far," Mumbled Gerda's alter ego, then ran along the road and stopped having a brain blast. "Wait a minute, doesn't the bakery open up at 7 am?" Questioned Lady Frost herself and pondered about what type of store is open earlier to serve breakfast.
Something loud was thrown against a window causing it to break and earn the blonde's attention which looked around, then ran further to see a trash bin fall down of a broken window, then she encountered on the sidewalk Fire King holding his hands on the side of his forehead, while his hair was on fire squeaking in pain.
"Fire King? Are you all right?" Asked Lady Frost loud approaching the sidewalk to near herself to the friend, which began to yell, twitching with his body fearing Gerda from what was happening right now.
"King!" Called Lady Frost stepping aside to witness his strange behavior and shrieked as she spotted on his forehead a strange fire symbol and his eyes had turned into a fire-red tune, one as mentioned once by the monk. "King? Please answer me?!" Begged the blonde worried grabbing the boy by his arm, feeling his intense hot arm scald her making her yelp and back off. "No! Take down your miraculous. You're in trouble! Warned Lady Frost, but the girl backed off as she noticed the boy levitate up in the air as if he was been in possession of someone and watched him disappear in a dark smoke making her drop her chin and reverse back slowly while eyeing the situation of the friend. The smoke had gotten red, where Lady Frost then noticed the shadow of her friend stretch arms and legs out, followed by hearing a noise where she spotted along the body a shell growing around his entire body, getting bigger.
The heroine heard from the building aside two citizens scream, thereafter she used her hands to order the persons to get away and Lady Frost screamed as well as she saw from the smoke a long, crane-like claw get out to grab itself on the ground, followed by another one landing vice versa to the road and the last two landed behind the smoke, which had begun to dissolve slowly and in front of the heroine now stood a large spider-like monster made out of stone. Along its neck and legs, it was engraved deeply with active magma and the head of the beast was shaped like a potato with pointy rocks over its head forming a crown. The eyes were just two glowing flames and the large mouth had fewer spiky rocks as the teeth, but it had a really threatening look.
Lady Frost placed her hand in front of her mouth, followed by losing a few tears down her cheek, seeing in what her good friend Fire King had turned into and as it growled at her it spat bits of magma as its saliva hunting the blonde heroine away from him.
„King!" Cried Lady Frost hurt, then watched the villain lift up his arm to destroy the building beside him making Lady Frost shriek, then move her arm up to shot an ice blast at the hand freezing the claw, but seconds later the monster destroyed it making the heroine gasp, then see the villain laugh.
Lady Frost looked around then ran off creating under herself an ice path, where she could slide on heading to the Notre Dame across the bridge.
Cat Noir was at a boarding school on the same arrondissement to see a couple of teens playing a basketball match, where he had recognized Wayhem in it along with Michael in the same team being dominated by the enemy team. Cat Noir observed the present students hoping to see Rollan with them, but he could find a clue, then jumped down to approach the group.
„Guys, I'm sorry for interrupting your match," Apologized Cat Noir seeing Wayhem smile excited at the blonde along with the others. „I'm looking for your new friend Rollan. He's tall, has black hair, and has a Spanish accent,"
„I know him, but he's not here with us. He's at his house," Commented Wayhem. „We sent him a message to come join us, when interested,"
„Does he come?"
„He just came one or two times, cause he has a lot of things to do, sadly," Commented Wayhem making Cat Noir sad, then he raised up his fake ears as he heard an alarm siren making Cat Noir curious at the sudden release of it.
„It's not the testing day, right?" Asked Wayhem looking at the group, which looked at each other perplexed about the raid alarm of their city and they looked all up at Cat Noir, which was looking up at the sirens above their school, then took his staff to jump up at the roof of the building to see a few other buildings had activated the sirens and before Cat Noir departed his staff rang, which he attended after seeing it was Rena Rouge.
„What's up? Why are the sirens ringing?"
„I think Lady Frost found Fire King and we're late," Spoke Rena Rouge, making Cat Noir wide his eyes and jump to the next house to race over the roofs.
„Where did you see him?"
„Follow the Seine, he's going vice versa from the Notre Dame. Hold your eyes open for a large spider-volcano…...creature….thing,"
„Uh okay, see you there," The black-dressed superhero finished the call, then extended his staff really long to jump over a couple of buildings, then repeated the task and encountered the huge stone creature destroying around him sides of the buildings as he headed to a park.
„What?" Questioned Cat Noir approaching the villain from behind to see it stomp on vehicles found parked on the side and further on his way a few cars had crashed one into the other, while others made it to get out of there with it to avoid contacting the monster.
Cat Noir used his staff to jump up at the top of the back of the monster, then whistled to call his attention.
„Hey Fire Demon!" Shouted Cat Noir, then watched the monster look up at him with a growl and used his claw to push the superhero against the wall, falling down on the ground.
„Ouch!" Complained Cat Noir, then looked up at the monster, which continued his way and he got up and got up with his staff on top of the roof to follow the monster, noticing his arms glowing due to the magma making Cat Noir curious. While he was on the roof he spotted a missing volleyball on there, then picked it up to throw it against his arm watching it vanish in his arm shocking Cat Noir.
„That burns," Stated Cat Noir stopping watching the beast move on. „Ladybug we could really use all a plan together," Mumbled Cat Noir to himself seeing the monster pick up a truck, which was transporting vehicles, then the monster shook it watching a few cars fall off the roof of the trailer, afterward he dropped it to stash it with his foot.
„There goes all the pride of the Tsurugis," Commented Cat Noir noticing the familiar car brands inside there.
Rena Rouge arrived at the Notre Dame, then stopped at the crossroad as her flute was ringing, then she attended it and she heard no one was on the other side, afterward heard the yo-yo of Ladybug and watched her drop by.
„There you are," Said Ladybug, then saw Lady Frost come along on her path. „What happened?" Asked Ladybug seeing the superheroine which had slightly tearful eyes.
„I was too late. He turned into a giant spider-volcano and he's destroying everything!" Warned Lady Frost in panic, making Ladybug nod which felt a little tensed about what their team has gotten into.
„Can you give a brief description of how he looks like?" Asked Rena Rouge making the blonde nod.
„He's about 10 feet tall or so. He's like a huge spider made of stone and lava. He….also spits lava from his mouth," Explained Lady Frost making Ladybug nod, then looked at Rena Rouge.
„We better go out and check it, later on, I think the best thing would be to obtain help from other miraculous holders," Stated Ladybug making Rena Rouge nod.
„I go now, I assume our parents are now looking for us,"
„I know they are, but let's keep that for later, they could be around right now," Commented Ladybug making Rena Rouge nod, then the main lead used her yo-yo to travel from pole to pole out of the island and Rena Rouge followed her friend on the street, then looked back to see Lady Frost stay back.
„Where are you going?" Asked Rena Rouge, then returned to the ice-themed heroine.
„I'm not sure if I can do this," Said Lady Frost, then Rena Rouge placed her hand on the blonde's shoulder.
„I know how it feels to fight a friend when akumatized. I passed through that. Just try to think positive, we're going to get him back,"
„I would, but there's another issue. He's not akumatized, he's…...I don't even know what's with him, it's just terrible. We don't know the story of the last persons, that had the same issue as Fire King,"
„Just stay positive, we're going to get Fire King back. I promise,"
„But what if he doesn't?" Questioned Lady Frost. „What if we have no other choice?"
„Lady Frost. I think it's a little too early for those thoughts. First, we need to make sure, that we can take him out together, otherwise I have to get us help," Said Rena Rouge making Lady Frost nod, which created an ice path up close to the one, she had created a while ago, then slid on it and Rena Rouge followed the superheroine.
Later on, Ladybug had approached the supervillain, then flew up above him and landed a few miles away from him to look up at the creature and shriek at seeing it.
„Why did I wait so long?" Asked Ladybug sad, seeing the villain glare at her, then he roared at the superheroine, which used her yo-yo to get up on the building avoiding the saliva of the beast, and watched the few drops on the ground turning the road black. The Fire Demon looked up at the superheroine, then destroyed with his arm the part under Ladybug's feet and she threw up her yo-yo up in the air, moments later Cat Noir appeared extending his staff for Ladybug's yo-yo hold itself on it to help Ladybug swing and land across another building on her waist.
„Ladybug! Are you alright?" Asked Cat Noir watching Ladybug sat up and nod while scratching her back.
„I'm fine," Responded Ladybug, then Cat Noir got closer to her to help her up. „We need more help," Mentioned Ladybug watching along with Cat Noir the monster move on to a park, then looked to the right side, then cackled before moving towards that direction.
„Where is he going?" Asked Ladybug, then Cat Noir used his staff to extend himself up in the air to see the monster heading to the main road, which had several cars stuck up in traffic, which were planning on going to work.
„He's heading to the main road, which is currently filled with cars," Responded Cat Noir sliding down his baton. „Several people have gathered themselves at the Place des Vosges and others at the bastille. Someone has to evacuate them to another place,"
„Okay call Rena and tell her to head to the Place de la bastille and you try to guide the cars out of the monster's way," Ordered Ladybug making Cat Noir nod.
„And what will you do?" Questioned the blonde watching the girl held up her hand.
„I will go down to Lady Frost and see what we can do, then we go for another plan. Don't worry, we won't put us into danger,"
„Okay, but be careful. His lava could injure you, I threw a ball on it and saw it getting burnt,"
„Sure don't worry," Assured Ladybug patting the friend on the shoulder, then she ran further to the back of the monster and got down to meet up with the other superheroines, which were coming her way.
„Girl! You've got a plan?" Asked Rena Rouge making Ladybug nod.
„Actually it's not a plan, but I thought this could do something," Said Ladybug, then threw her yo-yo around the hind legs of the supervillain to push it together pinch the monster's tail in it as well, and watched the monster look back at the trio with a frown.
„Use your ice now!" Ordered Ladybug, then Lady Frost quickly activated her ice power to freeze the feet of the villain, then the Norwegian girl stopped it and watched the ice begin to melt fast due to the heat it was caused by the tail of the Fire Demon making Lady Frost drop her chin and see it break, watching the feet claw again on the ground.
„Okay I kind of saw this coming," Stated Ladybug, then Lady Frost threw ice blasts against the tail, causing it to swish and the villain turned his head back to look at the trio, then yelled loud spitting lava.
„It's no use!" Warned Lady Frost, then the trio ran off followed by the demon breaking a building as he moved his front arm back to threaten the trio.
„How didn't your ice work on him?" Asked Rena Rouge, then the trio stopped aside behind a building, making Lady Frost shrug.
„I think it wasn't enough," Mentioned Lady Frost, then Ladybug looked at the Seine and had an idea.
„Hey, what if we would get Ryuko to help us?" Questioned Ladybug. „She can turn into water and eventually throw it at Fire King?"
„Are you sure that works?" Asked Rena Rouge. „She's practically using her body and could hurt herself as well,"
„Maybe. Have another idea?" Asked Ladybug watching Rena Rouge look around to ponder about a plan, then she noticed a black car head to their direction, then Rena Rouge squinted her eyes and squealed.
„Oh my god! It's my favorite journalist!"
„Stop her from getting here!" Ordered Ladybug, then Lady Frost created a small wall in front of the bridge and the car pulled the brake to stop before crashing against it. „Oh well done,"
Rena Rouge approached the car to see a young, brunette woman get out, while beside her came a man and from the backseat another man with a camera.
„Oh look we just got stopped by one of the superheroes, Rena Rouge," Mentioned the journalist, while Rena Rouge smiled brightly to see one of her idols.
„Hi River, I'm really a big fan of yours and I can't let you come closer. The monster is dangerous," Warned Rena Rouge.
„Cool is there a possibility to have a description of it?" Questioned River making Rena nod, then before she opened her mouth she looked at the camera of the man and back at the Seine river.
„River, is this on?" Asked the fox-themed heroine earning a nod from the journalist. „Dear citizens, I need you all to stay away from the areas around the Notre Dame, the Place des Vosges, and the Place de la Bastille. A huge stone-made creature is destroying Paris, remain calm and make your way out of these places until we've got everything under control. By any possibility we'd need a few firetrucks to get here, we need them for a plan to fight the villain. This case is…...one hard one…..it isn't anything from Hawk Moth's evil plans it's an…...we're not sure what it is, but we would be glad about anything, that could help us spray water at the beast to extinguish its heat at least,"
„Okay, superheroes asking our daily heroes for help. I think it's far right to assist them in this fight. They spared our lives and saved our lovely city more than once," River commented to the camera, then Rena Rouge smiled and looked back at Lady Frost and Ladybug, which gave them a thumb up.
„Will you stay here?" Questioned Ladybug. „I will go further and help people evacuate along with Lady Frost,"
„Sure, go on," Answered the Martinic superheroine, then Lady Frost headed in the left direction and Ladybug observed her going without continue to listen to their plan.
„Lady Frost!"
„I know! I know! Help evacuate," Shouted Lady Frost continuing her way making Ladybug growl.
„Ugh, never mind," Commented Ladybug, then she looked back at the Notre Dame and remembered her parent's house. „I think I'm going to my parent's side. While I'm on it I may take Sass and Wayzz eventually," Commented Ladybug making Rena Rouge nod.
Nathalie Sancoeur was in the office of the bureau of Audrey Bourgeois looking at the short reportage of the journalist River Langerak, which was airing on a TV installed in the office. A few people inside the office were walking around trying to phone with family members on their smartphones, then from another office, Gabriel Agreste got out running to his assistant, and grabbed her on the shoulder.
„What happened?" Questioned Gabriel, then watched on the TV another journalist named Clara Contard show up on the screen with an amateur video airing behind her showing the superhero Fire King fall out of a trash can, beginning to pass through a painful issue before transforming into a monster.
„It seems that our superhero Fire King is behind this monster, that is going behind our city. According to the filmer of this clip, he had heard voices and looked out of the window to see this scene. As we heard from Rena Rouge Hawk Moth doesn't seem to have his hands in the game this time and we are now wondering, where all this is going. All I can say now is to stay safe and don't leave your home until more notes are revealed by the superheroes or the local police,"
Gabriel got surprised at seeing the creature Fire King had turned on and looked at Nathalie, which was surprised as well.
„Do you think this is, what the man meant would happen?" Asked the blonde making Nathalie shrug her shoulders.
„I assume," Commented the raven-haired woman. „The way Rena Rouge sounded before I believe this is going to be one hard fight. Perhaps more than against Miss Fortune,"
„It sure will," Commented Gabriel, then pondered about it and had a change of plans. „Nathalie, let's go,"
„We can't get out of here, we will put ourselves in danger,"
„We stay away from them, but we make sure to be aware of what's up and the superheroes are dominating this fight we send an akuma to strengthen the villain. This will be the final touch to take down Ladybug and Cat Noir,"
„Are you sure this isn't too much?" Asked Nathalie.
„Not as long as he's under our control," Contered Gabriel making Nathalie nod.
„Okay, in one way or the other I already believe they're doomed," Stated Nathalie following her boss out of the office.
Lady Frost arrived at the building, where the Hemming family lived along with a few other ones and she encountered on the outside Arthur along with another man looking around the places for someone.
„Hey! It's an emergency situation. Please return back into the house," Ordered Lady Frost approaching Arthur and the neighbor.
„Lady Frost, I have a problem. Rollan is missing, he's that teenage boy you saved last time from Ladybug's akuma version," Explained Arthur making Lady Frost gasp.
„Oh no, when did he disappear?" Questioned Lady Frost making Arthur shrug his shoulders.
„I don't know. I think he arrived last night home. I didn't see him, but I know he was here according to my wife," Explained Arthur making the blonde heroine nod.
„I will find him, I promise," Said Lady Frost placing her hand on the man's shoulder. „Please get inside the building and stay safe along with the others," Commanded Gerda's alter ego watching the two man ran back into the house, then Lady Frost passed her hand in front of her face from knowing her romantic interest was missing. „This can't get any worse," Commented Gerda to herself, then she heard the sirens of a vehicle and ran at the road to see a fire truck, then she jumped at the iron bar, where the crane's steering was, and got up to see the vehicle heading the road along from where Gerda had come. Lady Frost approached the cabin by walking over the platform of the truck, then heard inside the truck with the open window the radio got turned on as it was attended by a co-driver.
„Sam here, over,"
„Here's Xander, be careful how you approach. Truck Mittens got taken down, over,"
„Alright, where is that beast right now,?"
„Rue Saint Antoine. There are about 8 minutes of ride to the place de la bastille,"
„Understood, I'll go that way, over," Ended the driver, then Lady Frost climbed on top of the roof to see the truck take a turn to follow a side road, where at the end was a large space and a large column was in the middle with a statue on top of it.
Cat Noir had cleared along with Viperion the area of the place de la bastille, then Cat Noir used his staff to call Ladybug, which attended it.
„Bugaboo, Viperion had the idea to evacuate the people here away from the bastille up to the opera, if we find a way to lure the Fire Demon into the channel of Saint Martin we can defeat him,"
„Really? Great idea. He's heading towards there and will be there in a while. If you get to see there any firefighters try to have them wet him from the sides, where he doesn't expect. We already lost two forces,"
„Alright, Viperion and I will take care of that," Cat Noir stated turning the call off, then Viperion gave a thumb up.
„I think I hear one coming," Warned Viperion and saw from beside the opera a fire truck arrives, then Viperion raced towards the truck, pointing at another road, then the truck departed followed by one of the co-drivers picking up the walkie-talkie to inform his team. „They will notify the others, let's make sure the monster comes to us," Commented Viperion making Cat Noir nod, thereafter both boys ran at the road stopping between the buildings to observe the monster come in their direction.
„Okay, I think we will have enough time until more trucks arrive and we can splash it with water," Commented Cat Noir ribbing his hands together.
„Having a water gun now would have been fun, but I don't think it's big enough,"
„The water cannons aren't as big either, but at least it's something," Added the blonde, then looked aside from another road another firetruck arrive and Lady Frost was on top of it, then encountered the male superheroes and jumped down at the two, getting caught by the snake miraculous holder.
„Welcome back," Greeted Cat Noir, then Lady Frost saw the spider volcano come towards them.
„Now that you're here, we're planning to lead the beast up at the channel and give him a cold bath,"
„And how?" Questioned Lady Frost looking at Cat Noir, which looked at Viperion, which noticed one little mistake in his plan.
„One moment," Viperion asked walking up at one truck to speak up to the driver, then he received a thumb up. „Truck Lana is following the beast from behind when possible two additional trucks arrive,"
„Alright," Commented Lady Frost, then she watched, that the beast was still far from the trio and Lady Frost had an idea and whispered into Cat Noir's ear.
„Could be useful. You think you can make it in time?" Asked Cat Noir making Lady Frost nod, then ran off to another road around the column.
„What is she gonna do?" Asked Viperion making Cat grin.
„Get the locomotive back of her," Answered the blonde making Viperion smile.
„Oh good,"
More fire trucks arrived lining beside the other vehicles, then prepared their water cannons and hoses to use it as soon as the Fire Demon would come along.
Cat Noir extending his staff to prepare for the arrival of him, while Viperion activated his second chance in case of failure, then waited along with the blonde for the villain to arrive, then Cat Noir walked backward along with the snake-themed superhero and the monster stepped out of the alley, then heard through a megaphone a man screaming.
„Go!" Shouted a man then the first four trucks activated their water cannons to cool the monster with it making it growl loud, sounding like a dragon.
„Holy crap!" Shouted Cat Noir covering his ears along with Viperion, then the monster crashed with his butt against one building causing pieces of cement fall on a fire truck damaging one cannon. Two trucks drover forwards at the monster to use their hose against the monster, which enraged and growled again spitting magma at the trucks causing fire on it.
„Our vehicle caught fire!" Shouted the driver of the victimized vehicle and another truck came around to use their hose on their truck and Cat Noir jumped against the face of the villain to smash his staff on his head making no use of it, rather than getting the monster pay attention to the blonde. The monster growled again, followed by Cat Noir dropping down on the ground to see the two trucks that came behind him using water against the beast, which annoyedly used the tail to smash the cabins of the drivers, pulling a few out of the vehicle down at the ground.
„Crap!" Shouted Viperion about to use his miraculous, then heard another truck using another siren approaching the beast from the front and Viperion used his index finger to forbid the approach, then shrieked as the monster used his claw to pick the car up to hold it up closer to his face.
„Hey!" Shouted Viperion throwing his lyre against the hand of the villain, afterward Cat Noir jumped up to go on the claw of the villain and tried to unfasten the claw.
„Can't you use your cataclysm?" Asked Viperion loud, then saw Ladybug appear from above and land on a building and threw her yo-yo at the truck and pulled it away from the claw watching the front of the cabin getting ripped off, afterward Cat Noir caught the trio of the truck and saw across the other side, where the other truckers were being helped up by Rena Rouge, Carapace and King Monkey.
„Have you guys got another plan to lead the beast into the water?" Asked Viperion, then ran at the truck to see the front was damaged. Cat Noir got down, then saw the firefighters ran towards the other trucks to help the trio of heroes.
„Lady Frost had an idea, but we're far from reach," Announced Cat Noir, then Ladybug screamed as the Fire Demon was about to use his arm to crash it against the fire trucks, but luckily Carapace had activated his shell-ter to protect people around the fire trucks.
„We could need another fire truck to lure him," Suggested Ladybug trying to lift it up with the help of her yo-yo, then Viperion shook his head.
„This one doesn't work, the engine is damaged," Stated Viperion making Cat Noir nod, then Ladybug had an idea.
„But Rena Rouge can," Announced Ladybug using her yo-yo to call Rena Rouge, which was behind Carapace's force field. „Rena, quick! I need you to create a fire truck to lead the demon away from you,"
„I'm on it, Ladybug!"
Viperon ran at the place to look up for Lady Frost, then encountered Lady Frost working on the locomotive, which hadn't been finished yet and looked back to see the illusion of Rena Rouge appear, then Cat Noir raced alone at the large truck, then whistled to call the monster's attention, which had stopped with slapping with his arm on the field and saw Cat Noir walking beside the truck waving at the monster.
„Are you ready?" Asked Viperion looking at Lady Frost, which stopped watching the locomotive drop on the ground and looked at the snake-themed superhero with a sad face. „What's going on?"
„I'm not sure if I can do this," Mentioned the Norwegian superheroine, then Viperion placed his hand on Lady Frost's shoulder.
„We have to take him down. The lives of all citizens lie in our hands. We have to make some terrible choices once in a while. The Fire Demon almost killed people and who knows what else happened with the others on the way,"
„I know…...I…..it's just…...not fair to just end his life like that,"
„I know, but we can't do anything else, besides hope that he will find forgiveness for our choice," Said Viperion making Lady Frost roll her eyes down, then Viperion saw the Fire Demon follow the truck, which was far away from him, then Viperion got into the truck and looked at the blonde.
„Come on, this is the perfect time," Stated Viperion, then Lady Frost got into the vehicle and moved the locomotive slowly out of their hideout to observe the Fire Demon, then heard a loud noise and looked around with Viperion, which had an idea and jumped out to see in the air a small water airplane pass above the statue opening the door behind its back to release water above the place making Lady Frost drop her mouth and see the water splash on the front of the villain, hitting Cat Noir as well and the illusion, which ended up disappearing. Cat Noir got up, then saw the Fire Demon growl loudly making Cat Noir get up and slip from the flat stone tile on the ground.
Lady Frost frowned, then moved the lever to accelerate with the locomotive against the demon, then pulled the honk to warn her appeareance and Cat Noir was pulled away by Ladybug's yo-yo which caught him on her arms, then watched the locomotive crash against the stone creature pushing it across the place heading towards the channel. The creature growled in pain, while Lady Frost glared at it annoyed, then saw them approaching the Seine and therefore they had two rows of fences and Lady Frost looked aside, then glimpsed one last time at the Fire Demon.
„Forgive me, King," Lamented Lady Frost, then leaped out of the locomotive landing on her belly, thereafter raised her head up to see the train smash the creature throught the iron passing over a gap sticking its cowcatcher inside a gap, while the monster broke its legs in there and the rest of the body fell into the river, followed by a short yelp of the monster before diving in.
Lady Frost got up to pass through the broken fence to look at the gap to see, there were two rails located with two remaining legs of the creature afterward she looked up at the other damaged fence and jumped over the gap to approach the edge of the roof to look down at the river.
She heard Ladybug's yo-yo grab the locomotive to pull it back slowly, while from the other side appeared a wet Cat Noir which came to take a look on the blonde girl.
„Are you okay?" Asked Cat Noir, then Lady Frost pointed down at the water and Ladybug approached the two blondes to see, where the monster had fallen.
„We made it," Commented Lady Frost neutral, then Ladybug looked at Cat Noir, which was investigating the area around them and picked up his staff to add it into his mouth.
„Pwut you yo-yo awound me," Mumbled Cat Noir making Ladybug nod, which followed her partner's order and watched Cat Noir dive into the river.
Ladybug held the yo-yo waiting for Cat Noir to give a sign, then passed one hand under her eye to clean a tear and looked at Lady Frost, which felt down about what the end of their fight had looked like.
„This is terrible," Commented Ladybug making Lady Frost nod.
„Yeah," Agreed Ladybug, then Viperion showed up to look at the two heroines and down at the Seine.
„Did the monster….."
„Yeah," Answered Lady Frost making Viperion sad and place his hand on Lady Frost's shoulder.
„There was nothing else we could do for him," Commented Viperion. „I think not even the miraculous ladybug will do something," Foresaid the snake holder looking at Ladybug, which nodded and saw her thread lean against the wall and Ladybug pulled it, then Viperion assisted the superheroine.
Lady Frost looked above the fence and pointed at the edge to see a short way along the wall of their bridge. Viperion nodded, then Lady Frost jumped down to land on that corner and watched Viperion along with Ladybug move the thread to the side and Lady Frost grabbed on th thread to pull it closer to hear, then shrieked as Cat Noir jumped out landing on the path with a half-naked teenager in his arms. Lady Frost glimpsed aside, then she gasped in shock as Cat Noir turned around showing her who had been behind Fire King's face the entire time.
„N….no….." Croaked Lady Frost soon having her eyes get filled with tears. Cat Noir ran along the path to the pier beside the bridge, then dropped Rollan carefully on the ground and Ladybug had shown up along with a surprised Viperion, that wasn't aware as well of Fire King's alter ego.
„Rollan was behind Fire King all the time?" Asked Viperion looking at Ladybug, which was a little confused about seeing the boy in his pajamas.
„Okay, we will try to reanimate him, Ladybug can you make sure you find a doctor anywhere or a firefighter instead?" Asked Cat Noir making Ladybug nod, then Cat Noir got down on his knees to adjust Rollan's face and looked up at Viperion and Lady Frost. „I need your help!"
„Sure I'll take care of the massage," Announced Viperion placing his hands over Rollan's chest to practice the compressions and Cat Noir waited for his turn, then noticed Lady Frost look at the civilian with a shock in her face, then Cat Noir moved on his knees to the heroine to place his arm around the girl.
„Don't cry, we already called help and initiated the CPR, just remain calm," Asked Cat Noir making the girl nod, then he patted shortly on the girl's head and watched Viperion breathe into the mouth of the boy, then began to push harder against the chest of Rollan, afterward Cat Noir was about to perform the kiss of life again and got spit with water on his face as Rollan had coughed hard. Viperion got up watching Rollan cough, then lied back on the ground breathing loud, then Cat Noir tried to indicate Rollan to slow down with his breathing.
„He's okay…...thank goodness," Commented Viperion, then Rollan looked around bewildered and noticed Lady Frost crying.
„What happened?" Asked Rollan. „Why is Lady Frost crying?" Questioned the raven-haired watching Viperion walk up at the girl to touch her shoulder and see her look up at him, which moved his hand gently to show her Rollan, which was awake.
„You're alive?" Asked Lady Frost watching a confused Rollan look at the two heroes, then Lady Frost got up to embrace the Spaniard, which got surprised at the heroine's deed. „You were Fire King all along and I had not slightest clue,"
„I am Fire King," Commented Rollan, then he looked down to see his bare legs and gasped. „Where are my clothes'?!"
Lady Frost stepped aside as Rollan analyzed himself seeing him in his under clothing, then he pulled his tank top over his underwear making Cat Noir chuckle along with Viperion.
„At least you're wearing underwear," Stated Viperion, then Rollan felt really embarassed and looked at his reflection on the water to see he wasn't Fire King, but he was himself.
„What happened? Did I miss something?" Asked Rollan, then watched Lady Frost drop her head.
„Your miraculous….took over your mind and…...you turned into a giant beast trying to destroy the city," Explained Lady Frost making Rollan drop his chin.
„Bu….but….how? I….was speaking to a man, where I had crashed against the car and after that…...I don't remember…...It was dark, I felt like I was inside a container and…...I don't know anymore,"
„Ladybug had planned to get Lady Frost and your miraculous back, due to issues it had. Too late it would have led both of you into terrible concequences and…..what happened to you was one of them," Commented Cat Noir, then Rollan looked up at two helicopters pass above the Seine heading to the place.
„Have I caused a lot of trouble, didn't I?" Questioned Rollan making Cat Noir shrug.
„Well, a lot of buildings were destroyed on the way, but this usually happens all the time with akumas, firetrucks were destroy….you know it's better for you to not know all details, cause you'll see it with your own eyes anyway as Ladybug's magical power isn't able to fix this issue,"
„I'm….a monster," Mumbled Rollan, then Lady Frost placed her arms on the shoulders of her love interest, then leaned her cheek on his head,
„You're not a monster. It was an accident. Your miraculous was connected with the powers of the Fire Demon, which took at one point over you. That's why you had these last few times a problem. We probably could have avoided it, if we had given it back right at the start, but no one was expecting, this would right now happen to you," Commented Lady Frost getting up, then hold out her hand at the raven-haired boy.
Rollan looked at the two male superheroes, which were listening to Lady Frost while looking at the Spaniard, afterward Rollan stood up looking around the place, then Lady Frost approached him trying to comfort him and he ran off.
„Rollan, wait!" Shouted Lady Frost depart behind the boy, which ran stairs up at the middle of the port, then followed the boy along the road, then shrieked as a gray car almost hit her. Lady Frost grinned embarassed at the vehicle, then continued to pursue Rollan, which turned around at the next corner, followed by Lady Frost which briefly saw her friend dissappear into an alley.
Lady Frost glimpsed into the alley to see the boy leaned against the wall trying to hold back his tears, then Lady Frost frowned.
„I'm sorry, but I can't keep this private anymore," Stated Lady Frost running towards the boy. „Snowflake, Thaw!" Announced Lady Frost turning back into Gerda, which embraced the boy from the sides. „Look at me Rollan, turn your face to me," Asked Gerda watching Rollan move his head, then Gerda held her back of the index finger under his eye to clean away a small amount of tears, then leaned her forehead on his then nudged him gently on the nose, perking him up a little and he opened his eyes, then shut them up in surprise as he saw Gerda stand there in front of him.
„Gerda?" Murmured Rollan, then felt the girl cup his face. „How did you get here?"
„I already was here, silly," Commented Gerda, then Rollan shut his eyes wide at her comment.
„You were Lady Frost all this time?" Questioned Rollan making Gerda nod.
„Looks like we've been going behind each other for longer than we assumed," Commented Gerda making Rollan pout, then Gerda embraced the boy again, gently patting his back. „I'm here for you, Rollan. I want to help you, you can trust me," Assured Gerda making Rollan nod and lean his head tight on Gerda's making her smile in relief to have her good friend back.
Outside of the alley, Nathalie Sancoeur had been standing as at the road was the gray-colored Sedan and Gabriel got out of the car to look at the assistant.
„And?" Asked Gabriel, then Nathalie returned her gaze to the boss.
„Sir, it's real. The heroes behind Fire King and Lady Frost were those two students Gerda and Rollan, which we had found last time in Norway. What is your plan?" Asked Nathalie watching Gabriel ponder, then smile.
„For now on, I will wait," Answered Gabriel making Nathalie nod, which glimpsed back at the alley to see the two friends deepen in a hug, afterward Nathalie headed back to the vehicle along with her boss to leave the place.
