Chapter 5

Toga's rescue mission.

Three months have passed and Izayoi is nine months pregnant. She is showing a large baby bump. It's the night of a lunar eclipse. And Izayoi has gone into labor. Toga is many miles away fighting Ryukotsusei. The dragon demon has become a threat. So Toga is hoping to fight, kill the dragon, and go to Izayoi. If Toga is correct Izayoi is due to give birth. But the dragon demon is proving to be more than a match for Toga. Toga soon pinned Ryukotsusei to a cliff. He used one of his claws and sealed the dragon. The dog demon caught his breath. He's wounded but he took off running anyway.

Soon he came to a beach and saw Sesshomaru. He stopped and untransformed.

"Do you need something Sesshomaru?" asked Toga

"I've heard that you've taken a human woman as your wife." replied Sesshomaru

"Yes I have and I'm on my way to her. She could be in labor right now." informed Toga

Sesshomaru looked at his father. And tell that he's severely wounded.

"Father should you really go?" asked Sesshomaru

"And if I do will you kill me?" asked Toga

"Since you insist on going give me Tessaiga and Sounga." demanded Sesshomaru

Toga looked up at the moon and saw a few snow flakes. Then he groaned and asked "Why do you desire power so much?"

"The path I'm on is of supreme conquest." informed Sesshomaru

Toga groaned again and asked "Sesshomaru tell me do you have someone to protect?" The young demon thought about his father's question. The he answered "The answer is no I have no need to protect anyone." Not wanting to hear anymore and wanting to get going. Toga transformed and off running. At Izayoi's castle there are guards posted in and around the castle. Takemaru is walking through the castle. He's on his way to the birthing room. Where Izayoi is in labor. The midwife tried to stop the samurai. But he killed her then continued on his way. With Toga he's running through the forest.

"Master please don't be so rash. Your wounds from your battle haven't healed." begged Myoga

"It doesn't matter I don't want to loose her." argued Toga

Back at the castle Takemaru has made it to outside of the birthing room. He looked up at the moon and saw that it's disappearing.

"A lunar eclipse a perfect time to murder a demon." muttered Takemaru

The samurai can hear Izayoi breathing heavily as he walked into the room. Izayoi saw a shadow and asked "Who's there?"

"It's me Takemaru." the man replied

Izayoi felt another contraction coming. And she has a feeling that Toga is on his way. So she pleaded "My friend please gather your men and leave. Please do I say because I don't want anyone to get hurt."

"Izayoi I've have been very close to you. And felt love toward you. But you fell in love with a demon." boomed Takemaru

Takemaru his spear and stabbed Izayoi. He then stood, put on his helmet, and said "My feelings will never change Izayoi." Izayoi looked out the window. She can hear Toga's howls and she can feel her strength leaving her. The woman took a deep breath and pushed. She kept going until she heard her baby crying. Izayoi managed to cut the cord and wrapped her newborn in a blanket. Then she closed her eyes and stopped breathing. Takemaru is heading toward the front of the castle. When he heard the cry of a newborn. Then he heard a loud thud and has a feeling. That Toga has arrived.

Out in front of the castle Toga has. Transformed and unsheathed Tessaiga he swung the sword and yelled "Wind Scar!" The wind scar killed the guards at the gate. It also knocked down the gate and part of the wall. Toga ran toward the gate. The archers fired arrows and mainly hit Toga's armor. Angry Toga swung Tessaiga and used the wind scar again. As Takemaur came out of the castle and saw Toga.

"So you're here a bit late thought." stated Takemaru

Toga glared at the samurai and asked "What did you do?"

"I killed her and there is nothing. That you can do about it." admitted Takemaru

"Damn you, you bastard." growled Toga

Toga ran toward Takemaru and Takemaru unseated hos sword. And ran toward Toga. The demon lord swung Tessaiga and cut off Takemaru's arm. Toga ran into the castle and followed the scent of blood. With Takemaru he ordered his men to set the castle on fire. Toga has made it to the birthing room. He moved things out of his way. And then he saw that Izayoi is dead. The demon lord unsheathed Tenseiga. He can see the messengers from the netherworld. Toga swung Tenseiga and Izayoi opened her eyes. He sheathed Tenseiga then he reached under his clothes. The demon lord pulled out a red robe. He draped it over Izayoi's head. Then Toga helped her sit up.

As Takemaru came into the room. Toga asked

"Is our child a boy or a girl?"

"It's a boy." replied Izayoi

Out of the corner of his eye Toga can see Takemaru. He got in front of Izayoi and unsheathed Sounga. Takemaru walked toward Toga and said "I have no problem fighting you to the death." Toga stood his ground and said "Inuyasha."

"What did you say?" asked Takemaru

"Our child's name he will be called Inuyasha. Now Izayoi go." informed Toga

Izayoi nodded and ran out of the room. She ran until she was far enough away from the castle. It's fully on fire and on the verge of collapse. She watched until the castle collapsed. Then she left to go find a place. For her and her newborn to live. Back at the castle the collapse killed Takemaru. Toga isn't dead but he is trapped. He is trying to get out from underneath. The collapsed roof which is still on fire. Toga Tessaiga and Tenseiga from under his sash. Using his swords as leverage he managed. To prop up the collapsed roof and slid himself out. He went to get Tessaiga and Tenseiga. But more of the roof collapsed now Toga can't get to his swords. So he stood and slowly made his way out of the castle.

Once out of the castle Toga picked a direction and went in it. Toga slowly limped away from the castle. Tired and bleeding a bit Toga isn't sure. How much longer he can stay on his feet. The demon lord kept going until he tripped. Over something and landed on the ground. Toga groaned, closed his eyes, and lost consciousness. He is glad that he saved Izayoi and his newborn son. So he can die knowing that they are ok. That's if he does die. And what doesn't know that he's in the Northern lands.

I thought that I would post another chapter since I have the time. And the fact that everyone is loving this fic. The next chapter might not be up until Thursday.
