Chapter 9

The Death of Toga.

Five years have passed and Moroha, Towa, and Setsuna are ten years old. Zoltan is 5 years old, Toga is 1212, Sesshomaru is 515, and Inuyasha is 166. Right now the girls are playing with Zoltan and Toga is watching them. Their parents are busy working around the village. Suddenly Toga sniffed the air and could sense something is wrong. The old demon stood up and said "Girls take Zoltan and go find Rin go hide now." Moroha, Setsuna, and Towa nodded got Zoltan and ran off. Not long after they ran off. Inuyasha, Sesshomaru, Kagome, Sango, and Miroku arrived read to fight.

Just then six demons appeared. It's Kirinmaru his his sister Zero and the four pearls.

"Who are these demons Father?" asked Inuyasha

"It's Kirinmaru, his sister Zero, and his minions. He's here probably because of the prophecy. That was for told by the sacred jewel. They are here after the kids. And you Inuyasha." explained Toga

With that said Inuyasha, Sango, Kagome, and Miroku took on Kirinmaru's minions. Sesshomaru went after Zero and Toga is glaring at Kirinmaru.

"Where's Riku Kirinmaru?" asked Toga

"I killed him for lying to me about your death." replied Kirinmaru

"Well a lot of people that I was dead. But there is no way in hell. You're going to kill my grandchildren and my son." growled Toga

"I would like to see you try it. Considering it looks like that you're unarmed." sneered Kirinmaru

Mad Toga fought through the pain, transformed, and flew up to Kirinmaru. The beast king also transformed and looks like a cross between a dragon and a horse.

"Let's take this fight away from the village." suggested Toga

Kirinmaru nodded and followed Toga to over the forest of Inuyasha.

"Hey Sesshomaru I thought Father said that he couldn't transform." stated Inuyasha

"Will power and anger is a powerful thing." replied Sesshomaru

Over the forest Toga and Kirinmaru have already traded blows. Suddenly Toga though he heard one of his grandchildren scream. He looked over at the village. Kirinmaru took Toga's distraction to his advantage. He lowered his head and charged toward Toga. Just as Toga turned his attention back to Kirinmaru. The beast king plunged his horns into Toga's side. Toga howled in pain and bit Kirinmaru's mid section hard. Kirinmaru roared and pulled his horns out of Toga's side. The he kicked Toga as hard as he could. Toga let go of and clawed Kirinmaru. Ten minutes later both demons are getting tired. And have lost a lot of blood.

Now they are wanting to end the fight. Toga and Kirinmaru charged at each other. The dog demon missed Kirinmaru and Kirinmaru turned. And kicked Toga as hard as he could. The kick hit it's mark. Toga stumbled and can't regain his footing. So he fell toward the forest. Not wanting to take out a bunch of trees. The old dog demon untransformed and fell into the forest. Inuyasha and Sesshomaru had finished their fights. And are on their way to help Toga.

"Kirara come here please!" yelled Inuyasha

Just then Kirara transformed and came running. Inuyasha jumped onto her back and she flew toward Kirinmaru. Sesshomaru took off into the sky following Inuyasha and Kirara. Kirinmaru untransformed and unsheathed his sword.

"Let's end this Sesshomaru!" yelled Inuyasha

"Agreed let's get rid of this pest." agreed Sesshomaru

Kirinmaru swung his sword and yelled "Blasting Barrage!" Sesshomaru swung his sword and yelled "Bakusaiga!" And Inuyasha swung Tessaiga and yelled "Backlash Wave!" Inuyasha's and Sesshomaru's attacks combined and killed Kirinmaru. Down below Kagome, Miroku, Rin, Sango, Towa, Setsuna, Moroha, and Zoltan are running through the forest. They are looking for where Toga landed to help him. Soon they found him laying on the roots of the scared tree. Kirara landed and Inuyasha got off her back. Sesshomaru landed next to Rin. Towa, Setsuna, Moroha, and Zoltan ran up to their grandfather.

"Grandpa, grandpa are you ok?" asked the young demons

Toga opened his eyes, saw his grandchildren, and smiled a bit. Inuyasha, Sesshomaru, Rin, and Kagome walked up to their kids.

"Hold on Toga Miroku went to go get Kaede. Between her and I we should be able to help you.' coxed Kagome

"Kagome my dear it's sweet... of you to offer to.. help me. But my wound on... my side has reopened.. And I'm loosing a lot of blood. Plus I... can tell that I have several.. broken..bones." informed Toga weakly

Toga looked at his family then said "Besides.. I'm an old man. And I can...die knowing that I... helped protect my family. And that they..will be save even... without me."

"No grandpa please don't go." begged the girls and Zoltan

"Don't worry young ones I.. will always.. be with.. you." assured Toga weakly

The old demon reached into his pocket and gave. Each one of his grandchildren a fang.

"When..you're old enough..ask Totsai to ...forge a weapon for you." instructed Toga

Toga looked over at Inuyasha and Sesshomaru. He took a shaky breath and then said "Inuyasha...Sesshomaru thank you...so much. For.. allowing me to be... apart of... your lives.. and family."

"You're welcome Father." assured Inuyasha

Toga took one last look at everyone and closed his eye. His breathing became more and more shallow. Just as Miroku arrived with Kaede. Toga managed to say one last thing. "Goodbye...everyone..I..love..you..all" Kaede rushed over to Toga and so did Kagome. She checked him over and discovered that he is no longer breathing. And he no longer has a pulse. Kagome started to cry and Kaede shook her head and turned around.

"I'm sorry everyone he's gone." informed Kaede

Everyone started crying and that evening they buried. Toga next to the sacred tree. Miroku stood next to the grave and tapped his staff on the ground.

"We are gathered here today to morn the passing of Lord Toga. Who died today fighting Kirinmaru. To protect his family. If anyone here would like to speak come up and do so." informed Miroku

Sesshomaru walked up and stood in front of Toga's grave. He sighed sadly and said "Father I was angry at you after you left mother. But then I got over it. Then I despised you when I was given Tenseiga. Eventually I got over that as well. You and I had a rocky relationship and that's mainly my fault. I'm glad that you came back into my life. And we had a better relationship than we had before. And thank you for helping in protecting our children." Sesshomaru walked back over to Rin. Then Inuyasha walked up to Toga's grave. He whipped away tears with his sleeve.

"Father I to am glad that came into my life. Considering I grew up thinking that were dead. I'm glad that I got know you. And I to thank you for protecting our kids." stated Inuyasha with tears in his eyes

Inuyasha went back over to Kagome. But Kagome walked over to Toga's grave next.

"Toga I always wondered what Inuyasha's and Sesshomaru's father was like. And I learned that he's kind and genital man. Tough but fair. And thank you so much for protecting Moroha and Zoltan. They along with Inuyasha are my everything." stated Kagome trying not to cry

She walked back over to Inuyasha. Then Moroha, Towa, and Setsuna went up to Toga's grave. Zoltan is with Kagome crying. The three girls said "We love you grandpa and we will miss you." They went back to their parents. No one else went up to the grave. They all stood there paying their respects. Then they all returned to the village. As the years went by Inuyasha and Sesshomaru had Totsai forge weapons for their kids out of the fangs that were given to them by Toga. Ever since the battle against Kirinmaru. The family hasn't been attacked. And they family has a feeling that Toga is watching over them from heaven.

I was feeling pretty good so I decided to type the last chapter. I am so glad that this fic has done so well.
