Chapter Eight

Needless to say, Rome and Dom won the race. Not even the FBI's interference could have stopped them. Hazel was impressed with how seamlessly they had worked together given the amount of time they had known each other, but no one was more shocked than Brian. He had had doubts, sure. But once he found out who his sister had planned to win the race, he started to doubt. Both Rome and Dom are impressive street races, but he had never known either of them to work well in a team unless they were the ones calling the shots.

"Surprised Brian? Because you face has disbelief written all over it. I didn't know you could doubt them so much." Hazel taunted him, because that's something she would do when she was right.

"Shut up,"

"But I'm having oh so much fun dear brother, and you wouldn't dare to take such joy away from your little sister, would you?"

"Quite willingly actually,"

With Verone in prison and Rome and the Toretto crew free to go, Hazel and Neal could finally head back to June's. Soon another year had passed before Hazel decided that she needed to move again.

"You only have a year left, Caffrey. When you're out, come to London and visit. I promise I won't get married until then." She said, laughing a little towards the end.

"Can't wait. I need to make sure this guy isn't secretly a bastard with three dead wives."

"He's a good guy Neal. I'll see you soon, love you."

"Love you too Hazel."

"Home sweet home," she said to herself as she closed the door behind her. She'd never stayed when Deckard was away, mainly due to how big and lonely the house was without him.

"Bea? That you?"

"Decks!" I shouted, a giant smile forming on my face. "How long have you been back?" I question, worried that he'd been alone for weeks.

"This morning actually. Where have you been?" he asked, coming over to me.

"I travelled Europe, caused trouble in Tokyo, then went to Cali. Then a friend called, asked for my help on a couple of jobs, so I went to LA. Stayed there for about five months, then Brian showed up. I spent a year in Russia, then a year in New York with Neal and the FBI. And here I am." I finished

"FBI?" he asked, eyebrow raised.

"Yep, made me go undercover cause they thought Brian had gone native, I dragged Rome and Dom with me though."

"Bea-"

"And don't worry, Neal and his handler are the only ones who know about MI6, the whole shebang."

"mmhmm," he hummed, nuzzling into my neck, "I'm just glad to be back home, with you."
