It was Monday afternoon, and the Archers were finishing up their seventh period classes. Ty had spent his art period talking to Naomi about picking her up for the dance, and Abby had spent history finally focusing on something besides Kid Rot for once.

For Abby, the week had gone by remarkably fast. Monday was here before she knew it and with Monday came the school's dance. Abby was beyond elated, and definitely needed a distraction from the Kid Rot catastrophe.

But for Ty, the week seemed to drag on to an unbearable extent. Now equipped with both the knowledge that Kid Rot was still on the hunt AND the fact he had to tell Abby about the plan, Ty was in low spirits by the time he had returned to school.

Besides Kid Rot, Ty also had to prepare for the dance. Since he'd be picking Naomi up at 7:35 and Abby would already be with Greg by then, there'd be nobody to guard the house and the agency would have to rely on the use of cameras. It was risky, but there was no way Ty was cancelling his plans with Naomi because of Kid Rot.

Lab Rat had agreed to monitor the house from a close eye and have agents deployed and ready to strike if Kid harmed Petunia or Harvey. Senior Agent Hannah Halls was also supervising the dance, meaning there'd be eyes on the student body where Abby and Ty couldn't see. They were prepared, and Ty was terrified.

Truth to be told, the dance had clouded Abby's view of the seriousness of the situation. It was like she was stuck in a trance, which bothered Ty more than he'd like to let on. That was where he devised another plan, one which could ruin his sister's night but keep her on track.

He'd just tell Abby to keep a watch for Kid Rot, or else the agency would have to resort to neutralization. All he had to do now was tell her.

On the bus, Abby held her head high as she imagined the look on Paige's face once she realized Abby Archer was asked to the dance. Not only would she be furious, but she'd freak out even more once she realized it was Greg who asked Abby. Just a few more hours and it would be time-

"Abby". Ty's voice was wavery as he whispered to his sister, who only tilted her head in response.

"Uh..I kinda need to tell you something once we get off the bus, and it's not the best news."

Ty's words seemed to be only partly heard by Abby, who just nodded and looked off in concentration. Ty sighed and continued thinking about exactly how to present Lab Rat's idea without emphasizing the need to kill Kid Rot.

On a different part of the bus, Andy sat in a similar concentration, wondering about just what he'd wear to the dance. A nice suit would be classy, but it seemed too common. A tuxedo could show off his wealth, but he didn't want to seem like a braggart. Why was this such a difficult decision?

The entire bus was in concentration, whether it be about the dance or otherwise. Pulling up to the Archer residence, Ty snapped out of his thoughts and shook Abby's shoulder, effectively getting her to leave the seat. The two exited the bus and Ty gulped in nervousness. As the bus pulled away, Abby turned to her brother and smiled.

"Did you have something you wanted to tell me?" The happy tone in her voice made Ty grimace as he steadied a breath and spoke.

"We might have to kill Kid Rot"

"We might have to kill Kid Rot."

The impact of those words stopped Abby's thoughts in their tracks. Wrapped up in the dance, she had completely forgotten about the seriousness of the situation and just exactly who she was dealing with. Kid Rot wasn't just your average villain, he was a bloodthirsty killer who wouldn't stop until he got what he wanted- and Abby knew well even a high-security prison couldn't contain him. Therefore it would make sense that the only option would be to-

"Wait- WHAT?!" Abby yelled and then put a hand over her mouth to silence her words, eyes widening as Ty's grimace grew. So this was the bad news, and it was bad news indeed, especially considering now that Abby knew Chester was alive.

"Lab Rat wants to neutralize him as quickly as possible before he causes more damage, an ordinary gun probably won't work so he's developing a prototype designed to eat away at the brain, eliminating Kid's power at it's source."

"But what about Chester..?" Abby's words were barely a whisper as her hands became shaky.

"I asked about that.." Ty said sadly as he eyed the ground, "But first we'd have to get him on anesthesia, which would be hard enough, and if that worked, we'd also have to perform brain surgery, and even then it might not work."

Abby didn't move, she didn't speak. Ty stood worried as she silently raised her head and her eyes turned to steel.

"You don't even CARE, do you? You always hated Chester, always chastised him for things he couldn't control, and now you want to put a bullet in his head!" Tears dripped down Abby's face as she balled her fists, "Killing him would make you no better than Kid Rot! Two heartless killers who couldn't care less about what I want!"

Before Ty could respond, Abby stormed off towards the front door. Ty raced after his sister, but she turned around and pointed a finger in his face.

"If you don't care about keeping Chester alive, I'll help him myself. He'll be on anesthesia faster than you can imagine, and I'll throw him on that operating table personally. I guarantee he'll attack at the dance, and then you'll see just how stupid you sound."

With those words, Abby slammed the door and Ty face palmed at both Abby's behavior and his own.

A/N: First off, I'm incredibly sorry that this took forever AND it's a super short chapter. The reason it's formatted like this is because the entire dance will take place in 1-2 chapters, meaning I needed to finish up the scenes before the dance preparation in the next chapter.

Welcome to argument city! We have angst, angst, and more angst! I'm not super proud of the argument, but I think it's good enough to get by. Poor Abby, she's always having her trauma bucket dumped right when she's on cloud nine. I apologize if the Archer's seem OOC in this chapter.

That's all I have to say. Thanks so much for reading!
