Krystal's
On the way over to Krystal's, Dixie sat in the next seat looking out the window, seeing the rest of Pine Valley while Tad was in the drivers seat but thinking about something. That something or somebody is his daughter Kathy who he remembers seeing her last time at her dorm room with Jenny. Tad along with his wife was visiting the two of them but something in his mind told him that Kathy was up to something. He couldn't make out what it was but deep down Tad hoped that she would be careful. Both Kathy and Tad are one in the same when it comes to finding out the truth. Kathy had her father and mothers instincts combined in one so whatever she was up to, it couldn't be that good. In the end Tad hoped that her daughter was smart enough to back out of this, whatever it is. Tad and Dixie both got out of the car before Tad parked it right next to the restaurant. Coming inside the restaurant, a waiter introduced himself before he lead the two of them to a table. Sitting down Tad and Dixie were given menus by the waiter as they waited for Jesse and Tad to show up. Dixie though could see the wheels turning in her husbands head, he wasn't focusing on the menu that much.
Dixie - "Penny for your thoughts Tad?"
Tad - "I'm sorry...say that again?"
Dixie - "Oh come on Tad, you can't fool your wife, I know you're thinking about something in that handsome head of yours"
Tad - *Sighs* "Okay then Dixie, I think our daughter is up something"
Dixie - "You mean Kathy, our daughter up to something,. How so?"
Tad - "Well, you remember the last time we saw her and Jenny right at PVU?"
Dixie - "Right"
Tad - "It felt like Kathy in a way didn't want us there after her talk with William so that she could talk to him more, but about what though?"
Kathy - "I'm pretty sure Tad whatever Kathy and William were talking about was probably something about one of their classes or something else"
Tad - "Maybe that something else could be dangerous you think?"
Dixie - "Whatever it is Kathy's an adult and so is William. The two are grown adults Tad and we can't interfere"
Tad - "Really? That's it? That's all you have to say? I know they're adults Dixie but there's just something my gut is telling me to look into"
Jesse - "And you are not the only one who thinks of that Thaddeus"
Tad and Dixie look up to see Jesse and Angie standing right in front of them after they came into Krystal's. Greeting the two, Tad Dixie allowed them sit down with Jesse sitting with Tad and Dixie sitting with Angie. The waiter comes back and gives Jesse and Angie there menus but what Jesse said to them before shows that Tad wasn't the only one who thought of that. Jesse on the other hand remembered the last time he saw his grandson when William dropped by for dinner with his grandparents since Frankie was working the night shift and Randi was at Fusion for the night shift too. When they were eating and having dinner, Frankie was on his mouth and texting someone who Jesse didn't know. He thought it was one of his friends at college or maybe his teacher since some of the instructors, but it could have been someone else. Too bad he couldn't see it though that would have been an invasion of privacy so Jesse wasn't going to take or steal his phone from William. The young man would shocked, appalled and disappointed that his grandfather didn't trust him besides the excuse that Jesse makes. But how could Tad and Jesse both go about this? Well that is if their wives can talk some sense into them not to do it.
Pine Valley University
William who was on the phone with his friend, the one Kathy told him about the other day, made his way to Kathy and Jenny's dorm room. Hearing the news about Robert's current whereabouts wasn't good since the man was on the move and obviously heading out of the town including the country as well. The past couple of months William, Kathy and William's friend in Roberto, a hacker, have been in conversations on the phone but didn't meet with any of them since he lives in another state. Kathy was once worried about how this could affect her from not meeting with him but William made sure to give Kathy the information on Roberto. William felt that Kathy would be upset of what he's about to tell her as he texts his friend, then steps off the elevator before approaching their dorm room. Since the last time he was here and spoke to Kathy, both her parents showed up to visit her and Jenny. It was a relief that Tad or Dixie didn't catch on to what he's doing but his grandparents, William thinks they know what he's up to. They haven't confronted him or went off on him, neither has his dad Frankie. Knocking on the door, William waits until it opens and Kathy is on the side.
William - "Thank god you're here Kathy, you got my text right?"
Kathy - "Yes I did, come in, what happened?"
William walks into the dorm room before Kathy closes the door from behind. She saw the look of worry on the man's face so it had to be something big for her to know about, but something Kathy may not like in the end.
Kathy - "What's up?"
William - "Robert is leaving Pine Valley today from what Roberto found out"
Kathy - "When?"
William - "Right now, I don't know if he's leaving for good or is on vacation to get away rom the town but he's long gone Kathy"
Kathy - "Damn it, so he's gone, for good?"
William - "We don't know, my friend is looking into where he's going now but confronting Robert here in Pine Valley is out the door for the time being?"
Kathy - "Maybe it is, maybe it's not out of our options"
William - "What do you mean?"
Kathy - "How about we follow Robert out of Pine Valley to wherever he's going on?"
Jenny - "So what's what's going on? What the hell Kathy!? Are you that dumb!?"
Jenny, who just came from her gymnastic practice for the college basketball team., couldn't believe what she heard. So that's what all of this has been about hasn't it? Before and even after her dad and Dixie visited them Kathy was acting strange and suspicious the entire time. Kathy at times was slow when cleaning up the dorm room they had, even when they took turns Jenny always made sure to do hers on time and the same goes for her sister. But lately Kathy was just kind of all over the place despite here pretending that nothing was going on though something is going on. Kathy wants to go after Robert and William is helping her do it, which if true then William should be ashamed of himself. William and Kathy both were surprised to see Jenny, even Kathy who thought she had gymnastic practice which lasted until the evening. This was the last thing Kathy wanted to get into with her sister who had no say over what she does in her life. Kathy NEVER bothers Jenny of what she does in her life and if there's something Kathy is not a big fan of, she'll speak up. She wondered though now if Jenny is going to rat Kathy out to her parents or is she going to keep that southern belle mouth of hers shut.
The Park
Timothy Dillon was on his usual run that he does everyday since the man remembered running, jogging with his brothers and sisters in the military. It was the one thing that brought him together with them as during that time they talked about a lot of things of what they liked, what they didn't like, and everything else. Now he was away and done with the military, living in the town he grew up in as a kid called Pine Valley. The past month Tim though was nearly fighting for his life when he saved a woman in the middle of robbery and was shot. Thanks to Cara and Angie, the man's life was safe because of them but mostly because of Doctor Cara Castillo, the same woman who Tim surprisingly found himself falling for suddenly. It wasn't like Tim to fall for a woman so fast because of not just her beauty but the way she saved Tim's life. After that Tim has been staying in Pine Valley with his sister and Jake while applying as an officer for the Pine Valley Police Department. When he met Derek Frye a couple of weeks ago and told him that Tim was applying, Derek welcomed him with open arms. While he was running through the park, Timothy accidentally bumped into Cara surprisingly. She wore a pink sports bar that showed her abs, workout shorts, tennis shoes and an arm band as Tim smiled. He certainly was enjoying beautiful the view in front of him for the moment before clearing his throat to speak.
Tim - "Doctor Castillo...we meet again"
Cara - *Smiles* "Mister Dillon, yes we do meet again"
Tim - "Please, call me Tim"
Cara - "Tim, it's good to see you and call me Cara From the looks of it, you're doing pretty well considering you were almost a dead man months ago"
Tim - "True, I guess sometimes being a hero gets the best of me. Thankfully I haven't ran into any crooks or bad guys as of late"
Cara - "Good, Amanda, Jake and your loved ones feel pretty good about that don't they?"
Tim - "They do but I can take good care of myself. What brings you here?"
Cara - "Just on my usual run this time of the day. There's no shifts at the hospital for me today so yours truly has the day off"
Tim - "Nice, guess that means you can at least have some peace and quiet by yourself when you come home"
Cara - *Chuckles* "Yeah, at least someone keeps me up throughout the day"
Tim - "Boyfriend?"
Cara - "No, I have a son named Oliver. He's my pride and joy, just about everything that matters to me. I plan on picking him up from after school later on today"
Tim - "Really? You have a son? Wow, he's got one hell of a mom who's making a difference as a doctor Cara"
David - "Well she's not the only doctor between the two of us"
The two look behind them as none other than Doctor David Hayward stood there with a grin on his face and his hands in his pockets. Cara was perplexed to see David back in Pine Valley just now and she didn't get a phone call from Oliver's father, who she has a history with. Things between the two of them started off good but for David, he felt that she allowed the hypocrites of Pine Valley to get into her ear when it came to David's illegal activities as a doctor. The two of them broke up when David shot JR and we all know how that ended. The biggest discovery was when David found out her son Oliver was actually his and David was furious at Cara for keeping him away from her. JR also had to stick his big nose into everything and whisper in Cara's ear on what to do as payback for him shooting the man in the walls of the Chandler Mansion when Marissa died. From what he found out from Jesse, it wasn't JR who shot Marissa as they were still looking for the true killer to this very day. But when it came to his son, none of that mattered, Cara should of told her she was pregnant with his child while David was in prison but she didn't. At least in the end they co-parented their son Oliver who had no idea his dad is in town as well. Why was David here though?
Krystal's
Looking over their menus Jesse and Tad out of all the four of them with Dixie and Angie both were thinking the opposite of eating despite trying to focus on what they wanted. The two men could feel that Kathy and William were out of their minds of what they're trying to do, whatever it is. Ever since Kathy came into his world, Tad has always thought of protecting her, even when she became a teenager when it came to boys and other things. Jesse had a close bond with his grandson since William came to town on his own to look for his father Frankie and get to know more of the Hubbard family. After that Jesse knew he could trust and love his grandson. Angie always adored William who she thought of as a second grandson, but even for her she hoped William wasn't getting involved in illegal activities and committing crimes with Kathy. Dixie, who told Tad earlier to not get involved in started to be concerned about her daughter. Kathy always had a knack for finding things on her own and always made sure she was safe. This time though she wasn't sure how Kathy was going to handle whatever she may be up to. So being the first one, Dixie put her menu down and looked at the others.
Dixie - "Alright alright Tad, you're onto something about our daughter. What do you think it is?"
Tad - "Finally, it's about time you come to your senses"
Angie - "You're not the only one Dixie. I feel like William may not be okay after he came to dinner the previous night"
Jesse - "I noticed the same thing too Angie. The man was on his phone a lot, even when he pretended like he wasn't. Hopefully that kid knows what he's doing and I mean that literally"
Tad - "Oh come on Jesse, it's not like he's dumb or anything or doesn't know what to do. Maybe both William and Kathy have something in mind"
Dixie - "About what Tad?"
Tad - "Maybe something or...someone"
Jesse - "Gardner?"
Tad - "Bingo"
Angie - "Oh my god, not that blasted devil himself. Wait, do you think the two of them are on to Robert? Don't tell me they're going to go after him"
Jesse - "Now baby, I don't believe that William and Kathy are going to after him directly but possibly try to speak to him?"
Tad - "If that's the case then it's dumb on their part, why though? I don't..."
Dixie - "What Tad? What's wrong?"
Tad - "I should of known from the beginning since I told Kathy, Jenny, Jamie and JR about Robert's release. Julia, Kathy wants answers from Robert about Julia, she's never gotten over her death when it happened"
Kathy - "You're right Tad, why didn't we think of that? Kathy moved on from Julia's death growing up but our daughter thinks the void is still there"
Angie - "Then what would William do? He's never met Julia?"
Jesse - "Angie, our grandson wants to support Kathy, but getting answers from Robert could be too dangerous for them"
Tad - "Right, we don't know what that nut has planned for the two of them. Even if Robert was in the FBI and works for them I still wouldn't trust him"
Jesse - "Well Thaddeus, maybe we could try to at least follow them wherever they're going?"
Tad - "That's a good idea Jesse, we'll talk to Charlie and Adrian since my brother is on the way home from Paris. He should be here by tomorrow"
Jesse - "Good, the more we take care of that issue the more we'll stop whatever Kathy and William are doing when it comes to Robert...if he hurts any of them"
Angie - "Jesse, just don't get in to any trouble, the last thing Dixie and I need is to bail the two of you out for being bad boys. We also need to talk to Frankie about this too"
Dixie - "Angie took the words right out of my mouth, thank you Doctor Hubbard. The two of you need to stay out of trouble at least but try to stop Kathy and William for whatever they have planned"
Tad - "Don't worry ladies, Jesse and I got this covered. We'll make sure they're okay in the end okay?"
The waiter came back to give them their drinks they ordered before all four of them told the waiter what they wanted for dinner. It was good for all four of them to get that off their chests about Kathy and William, even going into what they're up to. There's no way that Kathy and William would commit some crime, but that doesn't mean the two of them are not perfect. Tad and Dixie could remember the days when she was in school and the principle had to call them to let the parents know how Kathy got into trouble. She would tell them that it wasn't her fault but that her so and so started it or if Kathy did start everything, she had to be honest with her parents before taking her punishment. Regardless of everything they still loved their daughter and know she's an adult, but she might go to prison if Kathy commit's a crime against Robert. William on the other hand didn't do Robert that well but he didn't like him and William had every right to dislike the guy. But he better not do anything against Robert unless Robert comes after him and William has to defend himself. Tad, Dixie, Jesse and Angie raised their glasses before they clinked them, toasting for the safety of William and Kathy but to themselves as well.
Pine Valley University
Kathy was caught red handed, well both her AND William were caught red handed by Jenny who wasn't happy. She figured out everything immediately and it wasn't hard for her to figure out, but damn it, Kathy and William, more for Kathy wished Jenny didn't have to find out. Even though all three are adults, this is something that Kathy didn't want Jenny to tell her parents and especially William's dad too. Kathy wanted to handle this by herself, to look Robert in the eyes and ask why he went after Julia? That's all she had in mind, it wasn't like she was going to kill him. William wasn't going to kill Robert and that's something he hoped his dad and grandparents would understand. All the guy was doing is being there for Kathy and supporting her. He remembered the stories his grandparents would tell him about their time together in this life, and it inspired William to be a better person, more supportive of his friends. Kathy hasn't told anyone about what she wanted to do, and the day they talked at the Student Center, William promised that they would keep this to themselves. But Jenny on the other hand wasn't here for any of that as she slams the door behind her before walking up to the two.
Jenny - "Alright, just what the hell is going on here?"
Kathy - "Calm down Jenny"
Jenny - "Don't you tell me to calm down Kathy. Damn it, were sisters, why couldn't you tell me what you were up to?"
Kathy - "Because it's none of your damn business, that's what"
Jenny - "Seriously Kathy? The man who killed Julia is someone you want to talk to so now you drag William into this dumb plan of yours, whatever it is?"
William - "I wanted to help Kathy and support her Jenny, that's all. Kathy didn't drag me into anything, let's get that clear"
Jenny - "So following Gardner to wherever he's going after he leaves outside of town and the country, who's great idea was that?"
Kathy - "That was my idea"
Jenny - "Are you crazy!? You don't even have the kind of money to travel, at least not right now Kathy. This is so dumb, William, can you talk some sense into her?"
William - "You know what Kathy...maybe Jenny is right. Maybe this is too much for you to handle"
Kathy - "What? Oh no you too William, you're backing out on this?"
William - "I'm only for this to support you and not get into any kind of altercations with Robert. That's it, following him outside the country is dangerous"
Kathy - "And that's it? You won't help me at all?"
William - "I never said that Kathy. Of course I want to help you, but we need to think of a better strategy. Right now I should let you and your sister talk, make sure you listen to her, okay? Class is going to start in an hour and I don't want to be late"
Hugging Kathy, William pulled away and left the dorm room before Jenny closes the door behind him. Taking Kathy's hand, the two of them sit on the couch as Kathy was surprised in silence of what William told him.
Jenny - "Sis, listen to me, I know how much Julia meant to you but confronting Robert is the last thing you want to do"
Kathy - "And why's that Jenny!? Don't I have a right to be angry, to demand answers and most importantly justice!? It's not fair!"
Jenny - "I know Kathy, but ask yourself, what would Julia want you to do? She wasn't a vengeful person, she would fight but in the end Julia would want you to move on with her life"
Kathy felt her eyes getting misty before she scrunched her face and started sniffling. Eventually Kathy started to cry as Jenny hugged her sister.
Jenny - "Hey, it's alright Kathy. You're not alone, I hate what Robert did to Julia but also dad too, Jesse, Angie, everyone he affected. All of them want him dead but the only way Robert goes down is by his own doing. He'll slip eventually and go back to prison, but for now Kathy...just drop this, please? For me, dad and everyone else?
Kathy - "And what if I don't? Are you going to tell mom and dad?"
Jenny - "Unless of what you plan to do becomes reckless and you get hurt then heck yeah I am going to tell them. They wouldn't support what you're doing Jenny, not one bit"
Kathy - "Oh...okay...I will drop it and move on for now. But I STILL plan on confronting Gardner down the line, just not now"
Jenny - *Breathes a sigh or relief* "Thank god...now, how about you go to your room, just rest and let me take care of everything tonight. I'll order us pizza including our favorites among us things"
Kathy - *Smiles* "I like the sound of that Jenny and...thanks for talking some sense into me. Guess I needed that talk"
Jenny - "Hey, what are sisters for?"
Kathy smiled a bit before rubbing her nose and eyes as she left to go back to her room with Jenny watching her. She was glad, relieved that Kathy was seeing the light on this because she wasn't planning on getting anything back from Robert. He couldn't bring Julia back from the dead so that Kathy can be over the moon excited. All Robert would do from here on out is just spout nothing but BS toward Kathy so that he can be done with it. Kathy wanted nothing to do with Robert and neither does Jenny after everything he did. Blood related may be one thing but the rest, absolutely not. Krystal, Jenny's mother would of killed her daughter for following her sisters lead on this. Heck, David Hayward was Jenny's step father and he would do something to Robert, something bad actually. Knowing David, the man never thought of the consequences of his actions when Jenny read and heard about all the crimes he committed despite some of them that included helping people. Back in Kathy's room she closes the door behind her before leaning back and starting to cry before slowly sitting down with her knees up to her chest. That conversation almost took a lot out of her.
The Park
Cara did not expect to see this, one of them being Tim Dillon and the other her baby daddy, the man who Pine Valley loved to hate the most, David Hayward. It wasn't like David just appear out of the blue and just show up when he wants too but then again, David was all about the moment and rubbing it in people's faces whether anyone likes it or not. David wasn't a completely bad person, yes, he's made a lot of mistakes before Cara came into town. She was the only one who accepted him but couldn't be with him anymore due to the drama he brought. Even when Cara was pregnant, she had to think about her child first. The people who David ticked off or betrayed, back stabbed in the end would come after Cara and Oliver. When she was pregnant with her son she had to put her son first and everything else so not telling him was good and bad. David though has been a great provider when it comes to Oliver and is such a good father to him. Sometimes it made her wonder what life would be like with David, maybe some of it isn't all that peachy but the man would at least do anything to save her. But that was the past, as David looks at Cara and Tim before he spoke.
David - "Hello Cara"
Cara - "David I...I didn't know you were back in town"
David - "Yes I am. Krystal and I got here a couple hours ago when we left Corinth. Who's your friend over here?"
Tim - "Tim Dillon, and you must be the scum bag who used my sister correct?"
David - "Oh, so you're her brother? Amanda, when she and I...had a thing for each other, told me a lot about you though"
Tim - "Just shut up okay? You used my sister and blackmailed her into staying with you, thank god she has a good man who loves her so much including a son that adores her"
David - "Ah I see, so Amanda filled your head with lies huh? Guess you don't know everything Amanda told you?"
Tim - "I don't need to Hayward. She told me everything so from now on, just stay the hell away from her, Jake and Trevor, got it?"
David - *Shakes his head and rolls his eyes* Whatever, anyway Cara, how are you? How's Oliver?"
Cara - "Oh well, same old same old David. Just living life to the fullest and working at Pine Valley Hospital still to this day. Oliver is doing fine, right now he's at school"
David - "Perfect, would it be okay for you if we both come down there when you pick him up? He would be ecstatic to see me"
Cara - "Of course David, you can see him when we go down to the school together today. I was just heading back to my place after my run is finished"
David - "Good, I look forward to seeing the look on our sons face when he sees me. Oliver will be so happy"
Cara - "Though, to be honest David , I wish you could of called me earlier to give a heads up on your return to Pine Valley"
David - "You're right Cara and I apologize for doing that. Krystal and I are not staying here long term Cara, were just here visiting to see how our daughter and Jenny are doing including Oliver"
Cara - "That's good. But like I said before, Oliver will be excited to see his father back for the time being. Let's just make sure the three of us are on the same page for visits, scheduling and everything else"
David - "Absolutely Cara, right now Krystal is at the hotel room. She's waiting on me to come back so we can order our dinner for the evening. I should be on my way back"
Cara - "Tell Krystal I said hello David"
David - "I will Cara, it was good seeing you today as well, take care of yourself. We'll be in contact, nice to meet you too Tim"
Tim just said nothing and crossed his arms before he watched David leave with a grin on his face as the man left the park. When David was gone and out of their sight, Tim sighed in relief and looked at Cara.
Tim - "Thank god he's gone. I don't know what anyone sees in David Hayward these days or back then when he was in this town"
Cara - "Despite all of his flaws, David is a good man underneath it all Tim. He loves Oliver and is a good father"
Tim - "Hopefully he doesn't cause any trouble in town, especially for my sister. Amanda needed me when she went through hell with that man and I wasn't there despite her telling me she could handle it"
Cara - "At least Jake and others were there by her side when she had her differences back then. You're here now and you'll do the best you can to be there for your sister"
Tim - "You're right, anyway I should get back to my run. It was nice seeing you today Cara, hopefully we'll see each other again soon"
Cara - "Well how about you and I continue our runs together. Maybe see who's the fastest person alive?"
Tim grinned as he took off to run out of the park as Cara laughed before she started to chase after him. After that little playful teasing between the two of them at the end, at least they were competitive in a way when it came to stuff like that. But when both ran out of the park, David still watched them leave from one of the trees and shook his head. So Cara was starting to get into another relationship with another man like Tim Dillon, a man who she had no idea what the mother of his child was dealing with? David, regardless of the past he had with Cara still felt like he owed it to her to at least look out for the mother of their son. So he got on the phone and scrolled down his contacts before picking one, pressing the green button to call. Putting his phone next to his ear, he waited for this person to pick up but David knew Cara was walking into a trap with this guy. Tim was Amanda's brother and from the interaction he had with him earlier before speaking to Cara, there was something about him that David didn't like. So there's only one way for David to get the 'goods' on him so to speak, he just hoped that Cara would understand in the end. When he heard the voice on the other line, David looked around before he spoke, then walked out of the bush and away from the park.
David - "This is Hayward, I need you to look into Tim Dillon's background. If you do that, I will pay you extra money...and lots of it"
END OF EPISODE 22
