Limit: Part One: Luna's Warmth
Luna was in the sky, spreading light throughout the world of the Playhouse. An innocent world where families felt safe. There was no sense of depravity in this world. It was a perfect world. At least, in the eyes of the beholder. Luna knew this world had its flaws as well. The 100 Acre Wood faces discrimination between the heffalumps and the woozles. The sea otters in that one world with the boats had to deal with their land almost being taken away. And the children in this world have learned to follow many safety rules from strangers, from Planet Pollie to the Box.
And yet Luna still spread her light in the world. Her friend Bear from the Big Blue House always watched upon her with a warm smile, thanking her for her light and warmth every night. But Luna never thought of herself as a savior. Not at all. She considered herself an important small piece of a much larger world.
The children that came the night before were proof that out there, a war is being fought. A war between the light and the darkness. She smiled as a shadow appeared to greet her. A sinister shadow only seen in nightmares, but Luna knew how to speak to it. She protects the world from those shadows. And yet this one wished to speak to her.
"You. I demand an answer." said Vanitas. His eyes were glowing yellow and his wings were spread out like those of an eagle ready to sour.
"Young Dark Fey. You know the answer already." said Luna.
"You suggested I had light. I don't believe that's the case." said Vanitas.
"Is this you speaking, or are those the words of a man who wishes not to change." said Luna.
"What?" asked Vanitas.
"All you have ever done was worship the darkness. And you spread the Heartless all over the world in anger. But despite all that, there is somehow a sense of hope." said Luna.
"Hope? I don't believe in hope." said Vanitas.
"Where is the shadow who follows you?" asked Luna.
"He ran off, sending my stalkers to another world. One where they will suffer greatly." said Vanitas.
"And you are proud of this?" asked Luna.
"Absolutely! I'm doing my job as a dark seeker." said Vanitas.
"How unfortunate that you would rather fall into your old habits. And yet this is still something troubling you." said Luna.
"There is. You still haven't told me my answer. Why and how is it that I have light? That is impossible." said Vanitas.
Luna smiled warmly. "I didn't mean within you Vanitas. I meant light was with you." said Luna.
"WITH me? Not in me? Make yourself clear!" demanded Vanitas.
"That boy Sky. His light is so powerful. It rivals your power. Pure darkness and pure light." said Luna.
"I already have a rival. His name is Ventus." said Vanitas.
Luna shook her head. "Ventus may be pure light, but there are shadows dancing in his heart. Sky on the other hand…. I saw no shadow. I only saw light. Light that can outshine the deepest darkness." said Luna.
Vanitas scoffed. "You mock me."
"Sky will be your undoing Vanitas. He will find a way to conquer your heart and save you." said Luna.
Vanitas clenched his fists together and roared. "That is not true! I will reign supreme! I will rule DARKNESS!" cried Vanitas. He flew into the air and threw dark orbs at Luna. She defended herself with a powerful force field, then she pushed it against Vanitas. And then, a portal opened.
"You are hereby banished from this world. But we will meet again. Someday, somehow, the next time I see you, light will be triumphant!" said Luna.
"Curse you!" cried Vanitas as was flown into the portal.
