They were all together inside one of the many living rooms in the abattoir, the one they most frequently used which resided near Klaus' bedroom.

Rebekah reclined on one of the couches, her arms crossed as she thought. Kol and Davina sat on the other end of the couch, Davina tucked against his side, with his arm wrapped around her.

Marcel sat on the couch opposite them, leaning forward to rest his arms against his knees, and tried not to meet Rebekah's gaze across from him too much.

Freya leaned back against the desk in the room, using that as a seat.

Hayley paced back and forth behind the couch that Marcel sat on, chewing her fingernails. She looked worried beyond measure, although she still took the time to smile gently at Cami when her and Klaus entered the room.

"You two took your time," Marcel said, with a teasing smile on his face.

Cami rolled her eyes, but she was too happy to be embarrassed by him saying that in front of everyone. She went and sat down beside Marcel, preparing herself for this little meeting.

She made room on the couch for Klaus to sit beside her, but he only brushed his hand against her shoulder as he went over to the bar to pour himself a drink.

"Is Inadu okay?" Davina asked, breaking the silence. Kol's arm tightened around her, as if he was worried that the mere mention of Inadu would take Davina away again.

"Unfortunately," Rebekah answered. "That vile little witch got away shortly after you did. She could be anywhere right now."

Hayley stopped pacing and leaned on the back of the couch that Marcel and Cami sat on. "We can kill the Hollow with my blood. If she comes here, she's dead."

"Slight problem there." Cami straightened up, alarmed by Hayley's words. "Davina and I are linked to her. If she dies, we die."

"Then we can't kill her," said Kol.

"Yet," Cami added. "I spoke to Vincent and he said that he would figure out a way to break the linking spell between all of us. Once that's done, we can get rid of Inadu."

"Vincent knows?" Freya chimed in. "When did that happen?"

It felt like all eyes fell on Cami then. "I saw him a little while ago and I told him what was going on. He said he'd help." She glanced over at Klaus, who still stood by the bar, his expression unreadable. "I tried to come here when I first escaped, but Inadu caught me. Running into Vincent was accidental." She didn't want anyone—most of all Klaus—to think that she'd purposely gone to Vincent first over them. She knew how petty the Mikaelsons could be at times. She didn't want them to think that she trusted Vincent more.

Klaus didn't really react. He just turned back to the bar and lifted a glass. "Drink, Camille?"

She nodded. She wasn't particularly thirsty, but it would feel good to have something else to focus on and keep her hands busy.

He turned to begin filling a glass with amber liquid for her. No doubt bourbon. She didn't think she'd ever seen any of them drink water.

"You didn't offer me a drink," Rebekah pointed out.

"Because I don't care if you're thirsty," Klaus replied with his back still to them. "Get it yourself."

Rebekah glared at his back and pouted.

His footsteps light on the floor, Klaus came over to Cami and handed her the now full glass before perching himself beside her on the arm of the couch. "We call Vincent first and see what he knows about how to break this linking spell. We need to deal with that first before we can kill Inadu."

"And what about our other problem?" Hayley asked. "The person that said they were actual Death."

Cami almost choked on her sip of bourbon. "What?" she spluttered out.

"After you, Davina and Inadu all got away, the person that interrupted the meeting introduced themselves to us as Death. Once you were all out of the picture, they were rather talkative. They had no interest in hurting us as long as we didn't get between them and you guys," Rebekah explained matter-of-factly, shooting a glance between Davina and Cami. She looked at Klaus accusingly. "Didn't you explain all of this to her when you got back? It's kind of a big thing to ignore."

"I didn't have the time to explain," Klaus replied. "Camille and I were a little busy."

Cami's face heated up as she heard Marcel chuckle beside her. They were getting off track with this conversation.

She cleared her throat. "So, this Death person is coming after Davina and I to kill us again," she surmised. "And Inadu is probably going to try to kidnap us to use us or she'll figure out how to break the whole linking spell first and kill us to cut her losses." She sighed and mumbled, "Just my luck."

"We will break the linking spell first." Klaus rubbed Cami's shoulder gently, but it did little to comfort her with everything that she was facing. "And then we'll kill the Hollow before she can do anything else. Whoever this person that claims to be Death is, they can't be unkillable. We'll figure it out."

Freya stood up from her seated position on the desk. "Oh, so now we're supposed to fight Death too? Don't we have enough to deal with already, Klaus?"

"If it means that Camille and Davina get to stay here with us, then yes, we're going to kill Death too." The tone of his voice told everyone that he was not going to argue about this.

Freya's nostrils flared as she took a deep breath, presumably to calm herself down. "We still need to get Elijah out of the pendant too. We don't have the time to deal with anything else right now."

"Then we will make the time, Freya."

Freya met Klaus' stare for a moment, perhaps debating trying to argue. She didn't seem like she wanted to back down on this and Cami tried not to take that personally. She understood that they were dealing with a lot already, but her life was at stake.

Finally, Freya let out a sigh and backed down. "I'm going to call Vincent and see what he says about this." She didn't allow anyone to reply before she left the room, Cami watching her as she went.

Klaus must've noticed where Cami's attention was. "Don't worry about her," he quietly said to Cami. "She'll help. We all want the Hollow gone."

She nodded back at him and tried to feel hopeful about things. The Mikaelsons were going to help get rid of Inadu and whoever this "Death" person was, Vincent would no doubt have some information about the linking spell by now, and she was back together with Klaus. For all intents and purposes, things were the best they'd been since she'd come back to life.

And yet, she felt like a stone had settled in her stomach. Things still didn't feel right. She had assumed that when she got out from underneath Inadu's thumb, everything would be great. It was definitely already better than being stuck in the crypt all day and night, but she still felt out of sorts. Perhaps she hadn't adjusted properly since coming back to life.

Hayley leaned down over the back of the couch, pulling Cami out of her thoughts. "Hey, I didn't get to say this earlier at the crypt," she said to Cami, "but it's really good to have you back."

Cami smiled at Hayley thankfully as Klaus squeezed her shoulder, apparently having heard what Hayley said too. "I'll second that," he said as he drained the last drops of bourbon from his glass.

A little while later...

What happened at the crypt had been a mistake. They hadn't expected so many vampires to come out of the woodworks. The two missing souls had been right there and they'd slipped right through their fingers. It was exasperating.

Luckily though, they seemed to be sticking together and staying relatively close by. It would've been smarter to at least try to run for their lives, but then, humans rarely chose the smart choice.

Death didn't falter as they walked straight into the building that the souls now stayed in. Rather than going inside the building once they were through the front doors, they found themselves standing in an outside courtyard.

They paused and looked around at the floors above them. The pulling feeling that drew them to the missing souls magnified when their eyes landed on a specific door on the second floor. Whether the souls were directly behind that door, they didn't know, but they knew that the souls were in that direction at least. All they had to do was follow the thread that ran between them.

"Um, excuse me?" a female voice exclaimed, drawing Death's attention.

They slowly turned their head in the direction of the voice. The blonde vampire that they recognised from the crypt marched towards them, but she stopped when the flickers of recognition appeared within her eyes when they landed on Death's face.

"Klaus!" she yelled out.

Death let out a sigh. It appeared that they were going to have to deal with the little vampires that defended the souls once again. What a pain.

And rather unfortunately, this blonde seemed to have raised the alarm, as they heard the tell-tale noises of a few pairs of footsteps coming down from the upper floors of the building.

If Death had to fight their way through every single one of them, so be it.

That in mind, Death flicked their hand in the air and the blonde vampire flew through the air and crashed into a chair nearby.
