C is for Cough:

Shawn was performing at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, NC that evening, However, when he woke up his throat was scratchy, and he felt tired. He thought it might just be allergies to pollen or dust. He decided not to tell Cam or John about it thinking that if he drank water and took it easy the scratchy throat would go away.

~John's Point of View~

Shawn has been awfully quiet today and normally he is all talkative and excited before his shows. I think I will go check on him as his face looks awfully pale and flushed. Shawn are you okay? Do you need anything?

~Shawn's Point of View~

*Coughs* No John I am fine I just need some water. And I would love to watch an Avengers movie if you have one available. John is not sure if Shawn is telling the truth but responds ok, I will get you some water and a movie but if you start not feeling well can you please tell me. Oh of course I will tell you. I think instead of a movie I am just going to go take a nap. I am feeling awfully tired after doing 4 shows in a row.

John comes back with the avenger's movie and asks Cam where Shawn went. Shawn said he was feeling awfully tired and went to go take a nap. It did not sound like him as he does not normally nap. John goes back to Shawn's tour bus cabin bed and finds him fast asleep holding a stuffed dolphin. He gently nudges Shawn and realizes that his forehead is warm. Shawn stirs and starts coughing a lot and asking for water. Shawn can you hear me are you sure you are alright. Shawn groans and says I don't feel that good John, but I can't let my fans down and cancel my show tonight. John calls for Cam and asks him to call Andrew for advice as Shawn is not feeling well but still wants to continue with the show

Cam: Hello?

Andrew: Hi Cam. What's going on. I know you normally do not call unless something is wrong or there is an issue relating to the show tonight.

Cam: Hi Andrew. John asked me to call you because Shawn wasn't feeling well and told John he was fine after he noticed he was pale. However, a few hours later Shawn said he was really sleepy and went to sleep which was unlike him. When John went to check on him, he noticed his forehead was burning up and shortly after he went into a coughing fit and admitted he did not feel well but did not want to cancel the show tonight and let down his fans.

Andrew: Okay, here is what we are going to do before we decide anything about the show tonight. First, you are going to check Shawn's temperature to see how bad his fever is. After that I want you to turn the Shower on full heat and put Shawn in there to inhale the Shower Steam. Make sure he gets lots of fluids and if he is still not feeling better in a few hours call me back.

Cam: Okay, will do thank you Andrew.

John: Shawn can you sit up for me for a second I want you to drink some Gatorade and I also want to check your temperature. Which color would you like green or Blue?

Shawn: I would love some green Gatorade please with lots of ice. *Goes into another coughing fit and turns green"

John: *gets back with the Gatorade and a thermometer* Shawn are you okay? I brought you that Gatorade you asked for.

Shawn cups his mouth and starts running towards the bathroom.

John hears Shawn throwing up and runs to find him throwing up in the sink bathroom. Shh you're okay Shawn let it all out you'll feel better afterwards. There are you all done now?

Shawn nods and asks to go on the couch to watch a movie.

John: Of course, Shawn but first can you open up so I can take your temperature and then I will have the bus driver stop to get you some cough medicine and other stuff.

Shawn: *Cough's slightly but manages to keep mouth open* and mumbles John I don't want to perform tonight I don't feel good

John: Takes thermometer out and reads the temperature of 102.3. Shawn, you definitely have a fever do you want to go watch a movie with a cold washcloth on your head to cool you down. I'll have Cam call Andrew to let him know you aren't performing tonight.

Shawn: Yes, please that sounds great. And can you stop at a pharmacy or grocery store and get me some Cough Syrup and throat drops my throat hurts when I cough.

John: Of course! I will be right back with the cool washcloth and then you can pick a movie. Hey Cam, can you call Andrew back for me and let him know Shawn does not want to perform tonight.

Cam: Of course, I am on it right now.

Andrew: Hello? Cam is that you again.

Cam: Hi Andrew. Yes, it's me. Shawn went into another coughing fit so bad it caused him to throw up and he admitted to not feeling well and not wanting to do the show tonight.

Andrew: Oh no, I thought he would not feel well enough to perform enough. I will make sure to let the venue know that Shawn is not performing tonight. If Shawn feels up to it, he can write a tweet out to his fans. Tell him to feel better soon.

Cam: Thanks Andrew! I really appreciate it!

Cam hangs up the phone and notices Shawn in another coughing fit. Shawn are you ok do you need the bucket?

Shawn slowly nods his head yes and starts throwing up exactly as John comes in time with the bucket and moans and groans.

John: Hey bus driver how close are we to the nearest grocery store so I can go and get Shawn some Cough Medicine and other supplies.

Bus Driver: The nearest grocery store is about 5 minutes away. I have put it in the GPS so it will take us directly there.

John: Okay, so while I stay in the bus with Shawn can you get some bottles of Gatorade in a few different colors, Daytime and Night- time Cough Medicine, Saltine crackers, lemon throat lozenges, white bread, grape jelly, grape popsicles and Chicken Noodle Soup

Cam: I am on it. I will be right back. Shawn I will pick out a digital movie we can watch together when I get back!

Shawn: *Coughs* Okay! Thank you so much for taking care of me guys. I am going to go write a tweet to my fans: Hey Guys! It's me Shawn. I was super excited to perform at the spectrum center tonight but unfortunately, I am not feeling well and need to rest my voice and therefore will have to reschedule my concert for later in the year. I am sorry to disappoint everyone. I will let you know when the rescheduled date is!

John: Cam is back. Do you want to have a grape popsicle and some cough medicine and then watch Avengers?

Shawn: Yes! Yes please! That would be great.

*John passes the Cough medicine and a popsicle and pops the avengers in*

Shawn: Oh, how I love this movie! *Yawns* I think I am going to go take a little nap.

So, I thought this was a great way to end this chapter. John and Cam help take care of Shawn and offer him soft foods to help with his throat and cough. They end up watching all the avenger's movies and Shawn feels better two days later and goes on to perform his concert the next day in Atlanta, GA. I'm sorry for my hiatus! I plan to update this story at least once a week from now on!
