THUD!
It's another day Aaron was walking through town with his bag on his back, when all of a sudden he heard the sound of something falling behind him. He turned around and saw someone on the ground face-first into some papers. It was another Sim. Aaron helped him back to his feet and noticed that this was the Sim he saw yesterday. The one who fell on his face. This Sim's wearing a bellhop uniform and has blonde hair. He's also the same age as Aaron. This was Buddy the Bellhop. He works at the town's hotel. To be honest, he's the only one working at the hotel. After Sim Valley went downhill, Buddy's been only employee there. He could have promoted himself to manager, but Buddy really isn't cut out for that kind of work. He's just a simple boy who wants to be the best bellhop he can be. He's young at heart but takes his job with pride and can be a little clumsy at some times. But, he still manages to get by because there are two things Buddy's learned in life: stick to what you know, and don't touch the stove when it's hot. Buddy's a Geeky Sim because of his dream to travel through space, he's in to Tasty, but is not a fan of Spooky. Spooky Sims are Sims that have spooky, scary, or Gothic themes.
"Whoa, you okay?" Aaron said to Buddy as he got back to standing upright. "Yeah, thanks pal! Glad you were here." he said back grabbing his three papers. "We'll it never hurts to help, I always say." Then Aaron asked, "Hey, um. What's your name?" "I'm Buddy. Nice to meet you." "Aaron." The two shook hands, "Now where was I? Oh right. Buddy, what are those papers for?" "Oh, these are for the Mayor. These are forms for all the folks that are moving to Sim Valley." "Ooh, interesting. Mind if I take a look?" "Sure! Here you go." Aaron looked over each paper carefully. When he was done, he gave them back to Buddy and said, "Looks like we'll have a chef, a DJ, and a museum curator coming to town in a couple days." "I know, isn't it exciting?" Buddy said before he realized something, "Oh snap pal! I gotta get these to the Mayor." And like that, Buddy ran off waving Aaron goodbye.
Aaron waved goodbye too and as soon as Buddy left, Aaron pulled out a green notebook from his backpack, opened it and wrote Buddy's name in it. That green notebook's Aaron's Book of Friends. Aaron made it yesterday on the train before he came to town. With every new person Aaron meets, he writes his or her name down in the book. Handy right?
Anyway, today Aaron's looking to meet everyone in town and make them his new friends. He already met two of the five left in town. That's right, five. Aaron's already met two: Mayor Rosalyn, and Buddy the Bellhop. He only has three left to see. Aaron closed his book and walked off to the next Sim.
Four minutes later...
Aaron found the next Sim on a bench eating some spaghetti. He's a man that's got 5 o'clock shadow, dark hair under a black cap, and is wearing a brown jacket over a yellow shirt with blue jeans and sneakers. This is Patrick Rhino. Patrick use to be just a trucker that stumbled upon Sim Valley after getting on the wrong train, but then he fell in love with the town's food. Now it's his home. But ever since the town went downhill, he still stay hopes that they'll come back. Patrick's a Tasty Sim that's into Spooky, but is not into Geeky.
Aaron decided to take seat next to Patrick and start a conversation. Before Aaron could speak, the smell of Pat's spaghetti flew into his nose. It smelled amazing to Aaron and it made him say, "That smells fantastic." Patrick noticed him, swallowed the food in the food in his mouth and said, "Thanks, kid. Made it myself." Patrick then realized, "Hey, you're that new builder in town, right?" "That's me. Name's Aaron" "Nice to meet ya, Sport. I'm Patrick." "Nice to meet you too, Pat. You don't mind if I call you 'Pat' right?" "Go ahead, Sport." "Thanks Pat."
Another four minutes later...
Aaron found the house of the next Sim which looked a little...eerie. It's either the black curtains blocking the window from the inside, or the dead flowers and tree in the front yard. The Sim herself seemed to be not home yet. "I thought this was her house. It looks empty. Is she even here?" Aaron thought. "Hello." A sudden voice said behind Aaron making him jump forward and yelp in surprise and fear. Aaron looked behind him and saw a girl that looked two years older than him. She's wearing a long black goth dress a purple necklace around her neck, and has some of her long black hair covering her right eye. Her other eye shows that she has purple eye shadow and has black lipstick on her lips which are not smiling or showing any expression at all. This is Violet Nightshade. If you haven't noticed already Violet can be a little...Gothic. She thinks that the prettiest flowers are dead ones. Unfortunately, her sister, you heard right, sister would disagree. Hanging around her may test Violet's patience, but it still beats her last job: kitten photographer. If you couldn't tell already, Violet's a Spooky Sim that's into Fun, but does not like Cute. Cute Sims are Sims that like things that have cute or adorable themes. Fun Sims are Sims that usually like to dance, go in night clubs, have parties, do sports or music, and other various hobbies that involve fun in general.
Aaron recovered form Violet's sudden appearance and said still trying to catch his breath, "You must be Violet." "Yes I am. You must be Aaron, the new Essence builder I've heard about. Greetings." She said with monotone in her voice and her non-expression not changing, "Excuse me if I startled you. That seems to happen to everyone I meet." "I'm sure it does." Aaron said, "You know, no offence, but for someone like you I didn't expect to see any flowers or plants in your yard. Dead ones, maybe. Excuse me for asking this, but why did you use to have plants in the first place?" "They were a gift from my little sister." "You have a sister?" "Yes. Her name is Poppy and works at that flower shop." Violet said, pointing at said building. It was just at the end of the pathway. "How did I not see that when I walked down this path? Regardless, Poppy's probably the final Sim." "Well Vi, you don't mind if I call you 'Vi', right?" "Not at all." "Sweet. Anyway, Vi I gotta go, but it was nice talking to you. Hope to see you again." Aaron said as he walked off into the direction of Poppy's flower shop. Violet just 'hmm'-ed in interest and walk into her house with the front door closing by itself.
Almost a minute later...
Aaron walked in Poppy's flower shop and saw said girl watering some flowers on her shop counter. She's about Aaron's age and is wearing a yellow T-shirt under some short overalls that have the left strap unfastened. She has her hair tied in pigtails, a satchel hanging from her side, some red bracelets on her right wrist, and some brown sandals. Poppy thinks that flowers are, and I quote, 'totally, awesomely cute'. Working in the flower shop and playing with her sister, Violet, are Poppy's favorite things to do. She really loves flowers, and she loves rainbows. And stickers. Poppy's a Cute Sim that likes Fun, but isn't much of a fan of Spooky. I know, she and Violet are complete opposites.
Poppy noticed Aaron, but down her watering can, and said with an energetic tone, "Hi! I'm Poppy and this my flower shop! Come in and stamen a while! Ha ha! I made a funny joke!" "Thanks. That joke made my daisy." Aaron punned, making Poppy giggle then say, "That was so funny! You should be a comedian!" "Thanks, but I already got a job. I'm the town's new Essence builder." Poppy gasped with excitement and ran around the counter and went to Aaron and grabbed his shoulders and said, "You're the new builder?! This is amazing! I really, really need some things for the shop. Now that you're here, I can-" Poppy was interrupted by a sound of a phone ringing. The sound of Aaron's phone ringing. "Yeah. Hold that thought, Poppy." Aaron got out of Poppy's grasp and pulled his phone out his pocket and saw it was Mayor Rosalyn calling him. He answered the phone and said, "Hello? Hey, Mayor. Oh I'm fine, how are you? That's great to hear. Wait, really? Sure! I'll be there as soon as I can." Aaron hung up his phone, put away his phone and said to Poppy, "The Mayor needs me to help her with something. I gotta go". Aaron walked towards the shops door but Poppy said, "Wait!" but Aaron was already out the door.
Seven minutes later...
Aaron's seen walking into Town Hall looking around expecting the Mayor to be waiting for him at the door but he didn't see her. He looked around the room and noticed an ajar door on the left side of the room. He walked toward and into the door and saw rows of chairs and a big stage in front of them all. "This must be the town meeting room." Aaron attention got grabbed when he saw Mayor Rosalyn on the stage pacing back and forth. "Hey! Ms. Mayor!" Aaron said walking up and onto the stage. "Aaron! Thank goodness you're here. I'm really glad you came over." she said. "I'm always happy to help. Now, what's the problem?" "Aaron, thank's again for coming. The reason I called you in is because I really need a podium so I can practice my important speeches to the residents of Sim Valley. Do you think you can make one for me?" "Anything for you Mayor. I'll get right on it. I won't let you down." "I knew I can count on you."
Fifteen minutes later...
Aaron's in his workshop finishing of the podium for the Mayor. "I just need four of the same Essence then I can give it to the Mayor." Aaron walked over to the boxes filled with the Essences he got in the last chapter, and asked himself, "What should I use?". Aaron looked at the boxes and thought about what he should use. Sure, Rosalyn's a Studios Sim, but the only Studios Essence he has is stone and I doubt a stone podium would be perfect for the Mayor. He can't use the tires because they're Geeky Essences and Rosalyn doesn't like Geeky. Well, her second trait is Tasty so I guess it could work. The only Tasty Essences he has are red and green apples. What would look better, A green or red podium? Well red podiums would make the most sense so Aaron chose that. Luckily, he has four red apples left. The exact amount of Essences he needed.
Aaron picked up his last red apples and used his abilities to make them glow orange and float towards the podium. The apples flew toward then around the podium and after a bright flash of white light the podium was now red with large reading surface and an open back with a shelf. Aaron used his glowing hand and made the podium glow, shrink, then float in his bag of his back. He turned around to go out the door, but when he did he noticed something in one of the windows. He swore he saw someone watching him then quickly hid when they saw Aaron look at them. Yet, Aaron shrugged it off and thought it was nothing. Aaron exited his workshop and made his way back to Town Hall.
On the way there, Aaron had this strange feeling that he was being followed. He turned around and there was no one there then he continued his walk. He had that feeling again, so he turned, nothing there. He did this like six more times. He had enough. He jerked his head to the right, pretending that he was about to turn around, then he did a surprise 180 degree turn to his left, making the Sim following him yelp in surprise. Turns out the Sim following him turned out to be-
"Poppy? What are you doing?" Aaron asked feeling confused with a hint of annoyance. Poppy looked around and stammered hesitantly. She quickly tried to turn around and sprint away, but Aaron quickly grabbed a hold of her with both arms around her. "Poppy, you got one chance. Tell me what why you're following me or else." "Uh..." Poppy was getting more and more nervous. She couldn't even answer. Luckily for Aaron, he dealt with Sims like her before. He knew just what to do at times like this. "Alright. You asked for it." Aaron moved his hands to Poppy's sides and started tickling her. She laughed so hard that she fell on the ground with Aaron still tickling her. "Aaron! Please! Stop!" "This will all be over if you just tell me, Poppy." Aaron said smirking. "Okay! Okay! I'll tell you!" "How do I know that you try to run again?" Aaron started tickling a little faster. "Aaron! Please!" "You better tell me now." "Okay! I was curious!" "Go on." Now he's slowing down. "I wanted your help with my shop! I followed you and saw you working! I just got so curious!" Aaron thought for a minute then said, "Okay you make a good point. Alright, on your feet. C'mon." Aaron let go of Poppy and helped her to her feet and said, "Look Poppy, I gotta get this podium to the Mayor. I'll meet you at meet you back at the shop." "Really?" "Really, really. See you in a bit."
I know there's too many time skips, but who cares? No skin off my nose. Six minutes later...
Aaron's now on the Town Hall meeting room stage with Rosalyn. He just put down the new podium. Aaron tapped it's microphone and said into it, "Testing, testing. One, two, one, two." He was glad to know that the mic was working. He turned to the Mayor and said, "Well Mayor, it checks out. The podium's all set." "Oh Aaron, it's perfect! Now I can practice all of my important speeches! Thank you so much!" "Oh it was nothing Mayor. I'm just happy, knowing you're happy. Speaking of which, I gotta go do something. Catch you later Mayor." Aaron jumped off the stage and made his way to Poppy's flower shop.
Seven minuteslater...
"Hey Poppy, I'm here. Poppy?" Aaron made it back to Poppy's shop, was nowhere to be seen. Aaron leaned the shop counter calling Poppy's name. That is until- "Boo!" "Whoa!" Aaron turned around and saw Poppy who was laughing at Aaron's shock. Aaron grinned and said, "Okay. Didn't see that coming." Aaron couldn't help but like Poppy's childish and cheerful attitude. "Poppy, don't make me tickle you again." "No, no, no! I won't do it again, I swear!" She said, not wanting to get tickled again. Aaron then noticed something behind Poppy's counter. "Uh Poppy, why do you have so many flowers behind the counter?" "Oh, that's right! That's why I need you're help. Do you think you can you make me a flower stand? I'm running out of room for my pretty flowers!" "Of course. I'd be happy to help. I already have the Essence I need thanks to you." "Hmm?" "You see, whenever Essence builders like me feel happy, a Happy Essence appears. Mine appear in my bag." Aaron reached into his bag and pulled out said Essence(Look up how it looks in the game. I don't feel like doing descriptions all the time.). "I'll make you two more flower stands. One made from Happy Essences, the other from yellow blossoms." He then put the Happy Essence away and put his bag back on his back.
Eleven and a half minutes later...
Aaron made it back into Poppy's shop with both stands. They're both five tier six potted plant stands: One's sky blue and the other's a marigold color. He had to stop at the town garden on the way to his workshop because he needed one more yellow blossom. "Okay, where should I put these?" Aaron said with both stands floating due to his powers. Poppy couldn't decide so she asked Aaron to decide. He moved one close to the door, and on against the counter. "Yay! Now my flowers have a happy house to live in! Thanks so much!" Poppy said feeling overjoyed. She went over to Aaron and gave him a big hug. Aaron wasn't bothered at all. "It was nothing Poppy. You need anything else before I head off?" Poppy released Aaron and said, "Ooh, you know what? I've always wanted a bed covered in pretty flowers. That would be the best!" "Alright, that can be done. I just need at least two more yellow blossoms." That gave Poppy this idea. "Hey Aaron, I can get them from the tree I planted in the town garden." "Wait, you planted that tree?" "Yep!" Aaron quickly got over it and said, "You know what? Of course you can."
We're gonna skip Aaron's building process from here on out because I'm tired of saying it. You guys can though. Just remember that every Essence has a trait and a color. Cute: Pink, Fun: Yellow, Geeky: Cyan, Studious: Green, Tasty: Orange, and Spooky: Purple.
Now with that aside, Five minutes later...
We're now inside Poppy's house, which had a bunch of plants growing around the outside, and right now Aaron just placed Poppy's new bed. It's white with yellow blossom patterns all around it and has some blossom on the side of the bed frame. "Yay! I can't wait to go to sleep surrounded by such cute flowers! I feel tired already!" said Poppy who gave Aaron another hug, which he happily returned. You can tell that these two were gonna be the greatest of friends.
