The rest of the week continued on without a hitch. Destiny spent several hours each day with Robin in his office, helping to verify details about existing files about Slade. She would add some details or intel that was otherwise unknown. Robin drank in the new information as it provided a larger perspective of how much Slade knew and just how much he controlled in the city. It was rather remarkable he hadn't stumbled upon some of these details. The man under Slade's mask had a large hand in some of the notable drug rings throughout the city that had connections as far as Steel City and Gotham, probably how he could afford to gather such sensitive technology as well as a previous military background.

By the end of the week, they had finished filling in a majority of missing details from every file on Slade in the tower. Robin sighed with accomplishment as he closed the final folder and pushed it back on his desk, tilting his head up to gaze at the girl sitting on his desk. Destiny sat in a lotus position on his desk, wearing a bright red tank top and black leggings, her hair was thrown up in a luscious ponytail with a few strands accenting the curves of her face with the familiar makeup and red lips. She gave him a small smile and shrugged her shoulders, her navy eyes lifting to meet his gaze. "So…I guess that's it?" she asked, her brow arching in curiosity. Robin chuckled in response and nodded his head, "For now…" he teased.

Destiny giggled with a roll of her eyes, "Funny…" she mused. He smiled as he pushed himself out of his leather chair, "Well…I appreciate that you were willing to help me out with these. There's a lot of information here that even I didn't know." Robin complemented her knowledge, watching her face for a reaction. Destiny shrugged her shoulders, letting her gaze drop to her hands in her lap. "Well…it's one of few ways I have to fight back…so." He breathed in heavily as he reached out to cup his hand against her shoulder, causing her to lift her gaze up from her hands and meet his with a flush in her cheeks. Robin smiled half-heartedly as he gave her shoulder a gentle squeeze in approval before letting his grip go and turning back to clean up the folders from his desk and shoving them into the box on the other end of his desk.

Destiny could feel her heart beating in her ears, the flush in her cheeks bringing heat to her face and a pit of butterflies hanging in her stomach. She quickly blinked away the feeling, her gaze watching him file away their hard work into the beaten boxes. A wicked grin sweeping over her face as she cleared her throat to catch his attention, Robin lifting his head with an arched brow at the look on her face. "What?" he asked in confusion, pushing the lid onto the last box. She giggled with the grin remaining on her face, pushing her palm into the desk and jumping off. "I think we should celebrate a job well done…" she suggested with coy, her grin pushing itself into a smirk at the look of surprise on his face. He mulled over the suggestion before shrugging his shoulders and picking up a few boxes in his arms, she moving beside him to pick up the remaining boxes to follow suit. "What did you have in mind?" Robin asked as he crossed the distance to the door, it whining open and they walked calmly into the hall carrying the boxes to make their way to the basement. "I don't know…" she hummed, "…we could go out for ice cream?" she asked quietly.

Robin remained quiet for the rest of their journey through the Tower to put away all of the files they had worked on. Did she just ask him out on a date? He brushed the thought off as he plopped down the boxes in his hands once they made it into the basement, dusting himself off. 'Just go get ice cream with her…what could it hurt?' he thought to himself. She suddenly felt embarrassed for the suggestion, not expecting his silence for so long. 'Idiot…' she sighed quietly to herself as she plopped the dusty boxes on top of his and patted her hands together to remove any lingering dust. "…it's okay if you don't want too…I just thought-" she began to speak, trying to recover the awkward silence between them over her suggestion, but was interrupted by Robin speaking instead. "Sure, why not." He mused, turning to meet her eyes with his gaze. She felt that familiar flush creeping it's way back into her cheeks. "Oh.." she spoke in surprise, searching his face for the sudden response. Destiny breathed in with a smile creeping across her face again. "Sounds like a plan…" her smile grew wide and the flush remaining in her pale cheeks.

Robin had to admit, her smile was contagious. A wave of sadness filling his chest with the times he and Starfire spent together as a couple just a few years ago. That was one of her captivating features, too. He rolled his eyes behind the mysterious mask, writing off the feeling that this was anything more than just friends getting ice cream. 'This is just ice cream…you don't have time for anything like that. You learned that the hard way.' He reprimanded himself. Destiny quietly cleared her throat and rocked on her heels to clear the silence between them, snapping Robin back to reality and focusing his stare on her. She gestured to the door before walking for it, "Shall we?" she asked. He followed behind her through the corridor of the basement before walking into the large garage. Robin moved ahead of her and pulled the tarp off of his bike, a sense of pride beating in his chest at how nice it looked with the recent paint job. The girl arched a brow noticing the extra shine, "Did you repaint your bike?" she asked with her hand gesturing to the bike. His inner pride leaking into a wicked grin on his face with a nod of his head, placing his hands on his hips in triumph that someone had noticed. "I did! Doesn't it look great?" he asked rhetorically, moving a hand from his hip and brushing over the dash. "I even had time to upgrade the computer." She nodded her head, walking around the bike to observe the paint job. "It looks so good with the fresh paint." She complimented, Robin's face holding the light of pride. She gestured to the bike, "Can I?" she asked, Robin nodding his head in response.

Destiny smiled and moved closer to his bike, throwing a leg over to sit down and get a better look at the dash. Her navy eyes scanning the dash, her hands reaching for the handles and the bike immediately roaring to life. Her smile slowly pushing into a smirk, reading over the displays and moving a hand to toy with the controls. "It seems it has everything but a cup holder." They both shared a laugh over the joke, her hands moving from the handles to the seat in between her legs and gently pushing herself backward. Robin took his opening to step closer, swinging his leg over and nestling into his seat, hands grasping onto the handle bars and revving the powerful engine; his cape tucked neatly under his backside and Destiny's arms gently snaking around his waist and interlacing her fingers together. The heat in his chest rising to his cheeks and his heart beating in his ears at the feel of her against his back. Robin smirked slyly as he looked over his shoulder to meet her gaze, the familiar scent of vanilla filling his senses.

Just as he went to speak, the sound of metal boots and combat boots filled the space with Cyborg and Beast Boy entering the room. "Come on, man…"Cyborg said in annoyance as he jingled the keys to the T-Car in his palm, Beast Boy rolling his eyes "…what? It'll be fun, you'll love the comedians at the club!" he exclaimed. Robin and Destiny's head turned in the direction of their fellow teammates entering the room, Cyborg first catching their presence and waved "Hey, y'all! What're you up too?!" the older Titan's voice boomed with happiness, Beast Boy moving his gaze from his best friend and looked across the garage. His emerald eyes catching the gaze of Destiny and Robin nestled on Robin's bike, perhaps a little too close for his liking. Beast Boy could feel his face flushing with rage and jealousy, no words forming from the back of his throat.

Robin cleared his throat with a shrug of his shoulders "We're just heading out into the city for a patrol." He lied and Destiny gently removing her arms from around his waist in response to his shrug and sucked in a breath at the realization that he didn't tell them the truth, her cheeks flushing in embarrassment and the sparkle leaving her eyes. "Yeah…" she commented sadly. He noticed that she removed her grip from his waist, his heart pinging with sadness at the sudden distance between them on the back of his bike. 'Shit…' he thought to himself. She gently pushed her palms into the bike seat and removed herself from the back of his back, her navy eyes never looking up from the concrete floor. Destiny's body emitting into the bright red glow before her attire changed to her uniform, a form fitted red t-shirt, matte black utility belt and boots, form fitting black pants, a black eye mask, and fingerless gloves. The air around her body suddenly hot from the transformation, her hair fluttering from the ponytail it was once in and laid in gentle waves.

Beast Boy remained silent, Cyborg nodding his head as he crossed the distance of the garage as he approached Robin and Destiny where they were near the T-Car and Robin's motorcycle. "Me and B are heading into the city of some dinner, little stank fry is trying to convince me to go to that nasty club he tells his unfunny jokes at." Cyborg mused with a roll of his eyes. Destiny stifled out a quiet laugh, finally lifting her head to meet the gazes of Cyborg and Beast Boy, forcing a smile across her face. "Have fun, I've got work to do it sounds." She gestured to Robin behind her with a shrug of her shoulders. "Maybe you guys could catch up with us at the comedy club…" Beast Boy said in a hurried tone, suddenly clearing his throat and nervously laughed. Destiny turned her head to look over her shoulder at Robin, their gazes meeting before she turned back. "Maybe…if the city is quiet!" she teased, rolling on her heel and moving past Robin's bike and the doors to the underground tunnel suddenly whining open from the sensor being crossed.

A rush of wind blowing into the garage from the empty tunnel, whipping her brown hair behind her in a dramatic way. "But…you know how that goes!" she rolled on her heel again to meet their gazes with a forced smile on her face, her eyes lighting to life with that familiar red flame and levitated off of her feet. "We should get going, Robin….the city isn't going to patrol itself." She commented, suddenly flipping into an elegant twirl backwards and flying out of the garage and into the tunnel, the flood lights slowly flickering on as she passed. Robin breathed in heavily before turning his gaze back to his friends as he pulled his helmet over his head, "Just be careful you two and try to stay out of trouble…" he noted to Cyborg and Beast Boy. Cyborg nodded and Beast Boy merely rolled his eyes with a dramatic groan escaping his toothy grin, "We won't get in troubleeee…." He groaned as he opened the passenger side door of the T-Car and piled in. Cyborg chuckled with a wave to Robin, "You guys be careful too." Before moving around the T-Car and getting into the drivers seat.

Robin shook his head in a slight annoyance before revving the engine of his motorcycle once again before driving off in a rush down the tunnel. 'Why did you lie about what you were doing? It's not like we can't go out for ice cream. Why am I even worrying about it? Idiot.' he thought to himself, his chest humming with a sudden rage and annoyance at himself. He snorted leaning into the front of his bike more, his hands gripping the handles and revving the bike to go faster in the tunnel to try to catch her. Destiny waited at the end of the tunnel, levitating about seven feet off of the ground with her arms crossed over her chest. The evening's ocean breeze gently lapping at her hair for dramatic effect, her eyes still glazed over with that flaming red glow. As he exited the tunnel, he briefly curved his bike to a screeching stop below her. "Hey…I…" his voice cut-off by her clearing her throat and turning her back to him. "We've got work to do." her voice dry with emotion, "Hey…wait…I-" Robin stumbled on his words, trying to find the right ones and falling short; he was cut off by her voice once again. "I'll take the East. I'll meet up with you later." Destiny then quickly shot up into the sky, a beautiful streak of red fading behind her and disappearing across the evening sky. Robin sighed heavily to himself and banged his fist off of the dash, waiting for a moment or so before taking off into the western side of the city on his motorcycle. 'Well…that didn't go well.'
