After much discussion Kayla and Jimmy finally agreed to leave, so before I finally went to sleep I left the truck key on the front wheel.

I woke early, not That really slept at all and found that the truck had gone. I carried on my usual daily routine so no one would suspect anything was a miss.

When i visited Kayla that morning she was all of a worry.

"Do you want to survive this?" I asked.

"Of course I do, I want my boys to be safe. But I don't know if taking them out of here is how I can do that" she replied.

"Honestly I trust this guy with all of my soul. He knew Bobby and he respected him alot. He wouldn't tell me to leave if he thought that I would be safer here" I replied.

"What ever happens, please just protect my boys" Kayla said with tears in her eyes.

That night I packed a small back pack with Bobby's medals and our wedding photos in. I wore my wedding and engagement rings on a chain around my neck as always.

I packed up my makeup, toiletries and perfume in with the medals

I dressed in a vest top, jeans with my biker boots and denim jacket.

At 1.15 am I went for a slow walk round the back way, hiding in the bushes, until I saw the other soldiers leave Gavin to man the gates by himself. I checked my watch and saw it was 1.30am on the dot. So I walked towards him. Startling him a little bit.

"Where the hell did you come from?" he laughed awkwardly.

" from the bushes" I gestured.

"Bobby trained you well" he smiled.

He handed me a gun with a silencer.

"remember what I told you about guns" he added.

I nodded slowly.

"Please look after yourself"he added. He handed me something else, when I looked in the street light, I could see that they were Bobby's dog tags.

"how?" I asked.

"I was there when he took his last breath. He handed them to me and told me to make sure you got them personally from me. But I didn't know how to, then I got I sent back to Iraq, then all this happened. I believe it was fate that I saw you yesterday" he said.

I squeezed his hand and whispered "thank you".

"Bobby always did right by me, its the least I can do for you and your family"he said "now get going before anyone sees"

He lifted the patch on the gate , and I squeezed myself through the small gap, before running off into the woods.
