Later that night, they were all sitting around the fire pit talking about Brax and Ricky's honeymoon. There was also some teasing from Heath over his younger brothers not knowing the gender of his kid. Brax had also noticed the difference in Tyler since he'd been gone, starting to think that Heath was a good influence on him over the robbery. He'd also noticed Tyler was closer to Lucas and Kyle now, although he sensed something was off with Lucas.

"You okay?" Brax asks him, getting a small nod in reply.

"Although there is actually something I want to tell you all." Lucas says, getting a proud smile from Kyle, who figured out what he was going to do. "This is something I've been debating about doing over the past couple days, I was going to wait a while longer but I think now would be the best time as we're all together."

"You've finally found yourself a chick." Heath says.

"No, I'm not into girls." Lucas says.

"How?" Heath frowns.

"I'm gay." Lucas says, not realising he started holding his breath as a silence followed. "Please don't think differently of me, I don't want anything to change because I'm still me, I'm still Lucas."

"So you've found yourself a fella?" Heath asks.

"Not quite." Lucas mutters.

"Well good on you mate." Brax smiles, a beam erupting across Lucas's face as he realises Kyle was right about them being accepting of it.

"So I don't have to keep quiet about it?" Lucas asks.

"Why would we want you keeping it quiet?" Brax asks.

"He was scared you'd think differently of him and want him to hide it because of the River Boys." Kyle says.

"You knew?" Tyler frowns.

"I told Kyle the other week." Lucas says.

"Right." Tyler mutters.

"Please don't get upset over it, we just weren't getting along that great at the time. And I wanted to get Kyle's help about telling everyone because he knows more about this family than you would have." Lucas explains.

"Luc, it's fine. I get where you're coming from and I'm happy for you." Tyler smiles, knowing he hadn't been the best brother and was going to make up for it.

"We're all happy for you, Lucas." Ricky smiles. "It's great that you found the trust to tell us and I think I speak for us all when I say how proud we are of you."

"Yeah, you've come far over the last couple months, you both have." Brax says, looking at both Lucas and Tyler. "And although it wasn't the best thing to hear about what's been happening here, I think I'm pretty proud of how far you've come as well." He says, glancing at Heath.

"Me?" Heath frowns, never having expected to hear Brax say he was proud of him.

"You handled things well while I was gone, a few months ago and I would have probably come back to a murder investigation." Brax says.

"Yeah well you're not the only one who can be a big brother around here." Heath smiles.

"You've actually helped us quite a bit compared to before Brax left." Lucas says.

"Yeah, who knew you could give such good advice over stuff." Tyler smiles.

"Well, sounds like I can take a step back then, let you take charge in a few more things." Brax smirks.

"No!" Casey shakes his head.

"Please don't do that." Lucas says.

"Don't get me wrong, Heath has done a great job while you were away, but you're back now so he doesn't need to have some control still." Kyle adds.

"But you guys were just saying how well he's done." Brax says, finding it amusing that they didn't want Heath to have some control as well.

"He is the most bossy person ever!" Lucas says, glancing over at Heath. "No offence or anything."

"Some taken." Heath mutters. "But don't worry bros, I could quite happily take a step back now. I've proven I can keep things running smoothly here, pretty much, so the big fella can take over again now."

"I thought you were looking forward to coming back and being in charge of things again?" Ricky asks her husband.

"Yeah, feels good to be back now." Brax says. "And things haven't changed a huge amount which makes a change from other times."

"I have responsibilities now." Heath says, placing a hand on Bianca's growing baby bump.

"And how's things with you two been?" Brax asks Kyle and Emily.

"Things are great." Kyle says, glancing at Heath who had started to think they were becoming distant. "I don't know what's been said, but things couldn't be better between us." He adds.

"We haven't seen each other as often but that's because I've been busy trying to catch up on all the work I missed having started my course late." Emily says. "I've actually caught up a lot faster than I thought I would, so I'd hopefully have more free time coming up."

"Which I can't wait for." Kyle smiles, leaning in to kiss her.

"And what about you two, I haven't seen you around here much after everything." Brax says to Denny.

"I'm not hiding for the rest of my life. If some people can't stand seeing me happy with Casey, then that's their problem." Denny says, smiling up at him.

"But we did make things official after you left for your honeymoon, we just wanted to keep it between us for a bit." Casey says.

"Aw, so many good things have happened." Ricky smiles, feeling like things were looking great for their family now.

"I don't want you to feel like I resent either of you for getting together, I'm happy for you both." Tyler says to the new couple. "Casey's the better guy for you anyway." He mutters as he briefly glances down at his hand before going to get himself another beer.

"What was that about?" Brax frowns as Lucas goes to check on him.

"He's just felt guilty about how he reacted about it at the meal that Denny came to before. Lucas said he wasn't one to settle down because girls used to use him, so he never wanted to stay with them for long, and he really liked Denny." Kyle says, glancing at her.

"I didn't mean to come across as mean, I just didn't like what he did." Denny says.

"And he understands that but since his counselling he's been realising how his past behaviour affected people and he just wants to make up for it now." Kyle explains.

"He has been a completely different person lately, he's more like you and Lucas now." Casey says.

"I've noticed a huge change as well, he's realising what he wants in life instead of taking things for granted." Heath says as Lucas and Tyler walk back out.

"I brought more beers out if anyone else wants." Tyler mutters, placing them down before grabbing one for himself.

"Tyler, thank you for being happy for us." Denny says to him. "Maybe in another time, we could have been happy together, but I'm with Casey now. You'll find a great girl one day and you'll love her even more."

"Thanks." Tyler lightly smiles.

"So Tyler, I noticed you've been working a lot lately when I checked the gym books earlier." Brax says, having been checking a few things over for Casey.

"Yeah, it kept me busy. I didn't mind though, there was always someone to help." Tyler says and Brax could see what Heath meant about him being different since his counselling.

"Did you look at the rota to see if I can get some more shifts?" Kyle asks.

"Lucas had already made the next rota up, so you've got some more time off, but I'll put you on a few more when I do the next rota." Brax says as Kyle glares at Lucas.

"You said you'd put me down for more, what happened to that?" Kyle shakes his head.

"I didn't want you working too much and Brax told me not to give you extra shifts." Lucas shrugs.

"Well I'm the main manager, so you should have listened to me."

"But Brax is the big boss and you agreed that I could be co-manager with you."

"Alright boys, we don't need any arguments now." Brax laughs. "I'll see if there's any hours you can pick up."

"Thank you." Kyle says, smirking at Lucas.

"Suck up." Lucas mutters.

"Says you." Kyle scoffs.

"What is it with you two?" Bianca laughs, the others joining in.

"What about us?" Lucas asks.

"Don't worry about it." Brax smirks.

"I'm going to head to bed now, goodnight everyone." Ricky says, Brax also heading in with her.

"I'll give you a lift home." Casey says to Denny before they leave.

"Is one of your parents or brothers picking you up?" Kyle asks his girlfriend as the others chat between themselves.

"Nope." Emily shakes her head as Kyle leans in to whisper something in her ear.

"I'll drop you home." Kyle smiles, grabbing her hand before leaving.

"They're definitely not going straight to her's." Heath laughs, getting a whack on the chest from Bianca.

"Let them have some fun." She says before they all chat some more.
