Braxton House
"Morning." Lucas smiles as Kyle walks out.
"Morning." Kyle smiles back.
"You seem cheerful this morning." Brax comments.
"Yeah, I wonder if it's got anything to do with the fact that you got back pretty quick after taking Emily home?" Tyler suggests, getting a slight glare from his brother.
"I think I'm going to have breakfast in my room today." Kyle shakes his head as he grabs some food.
"Do you have an appetite this morning or something?" Lucas asks, grinning as Kyle glances at them.
"Yeah, I'm hungry." Kyle says, about to walk away when the eldest Braxton stops him.
"Just tell Emily to come out for breakfast." Brax says, Kyle stopping in his tracks before turning to him.
"I don't know what you're on about. I took Emily home last night." Kyle mutters.
"I wasn't born yesterday, Kyle." Brax raises an eyebrow. "Like Tyler said, you got home very soon after 'taking Emily home', and now you're taking half of the cupboards to your room. Oh, and if you see Casey, tell him I know Denny's here as well." He says, getting a weird look from his brother.
"Bianca saw Emily climbing through your window and saw Casey sneaking Denny back." Lucas laughs.
"I'm not even going to ask how she saw that when she was still in the garden." Kyle says.
"What happened to not sneaking your girlfriend in at night?" Brax asks, Kyle putting the food down before walking back to his room, so he turns to his other brothers. "What was Bianca doing walking outside?"
"She said she had back ache and walking helped ease it." Lucas says as his brother walks back out.
"Morning." Emily lightly smiles.
"You know we have a front door, you didn't need to climb through a window?" Brax says.
"Sorry." Emily blushes. "Kyle didn't think you'd let me stay, so that's what we did."
"That wasn't the first time this has happened?" Tyler asks, getting another glare from his youngest triplet. "I'll take that as a no." He smirks as he glances at Brax.
"So you've been lying to me?" Brax asks Kyle.
"No! But I'm not a kid, so if we want to spend the night together, I don't see the problem with it." Kyle says.
"You live under my roof and I don't need anyone else getting their girlfriend pregnant with the house already being full." Brax says.
"Pregnancy is definitely not on the cards for us yet, maybe a long way into the future." Emily says, looking at Kyle who nods in agreement.
"And if the house is so cramped, why don't you ask Heath to find his own place with Bianca?" Kyle asks as he hands a plate of toast to Emily before they both sit down. "He's always said he wants his own place, so what's stopping him now they're starting their own family?"
"He wants to keep his room, even if he gets his own place, but Brax has said I can have it when Heath moves out. It didn't go down very well." Tyler says.
"But that doesn't make sense. Why would he want to keep his room if he's not going to be living here?" Kyle frowns.
"None of us can work it out and he isn't willing to say." Tyler says. "But in other news, our 21st birthday is coming and we're trying to think of what we want to do."
"Nah, that's not for a while." Kyle frowns.
"It's in a few weeks." Tyler also frowns.
"When's your birthday again?" Brax asks his two newest brothers.
"We're the 3rd of August." Lucas says, noticing Kyle briefly glance down before looking at Brax.
"Right." Brax mutters.
"Why?" Tyler asks.
"Mine's the 22nd of August." Kyle mutters. "I guess the baby unit could never work out when I was exactly born, so they guessed it to be then and it's when I've always 'celebrated' it, if you could call half of them celebrations."
"So what happens now?" Lucas asks.
"You could have a joint birthday celebration." Emily says. "That way you can still celebrate it together without needing to think about the bigger details of it being on different days."
"But it's not on different days, not really. We were born together, so that should be… I don't know." Kyle sighs.
"I'm sure we can sort something out if you want to share a birthday with Lucas and Tyler." Brax says to him.
"But then that would change my life around even more. I wouldn't even know where to start with it." Kyle says. "But it's something that should happen. We're triplets, we should have the same birthday, not weeks apart."
"If you want to keep the birthday you've always had, we wouldn't mind. We don't need the same date of birth to prove we're brothers, the fact that we're together and similar in a lot of ways prove that." Lucas says.
"Aw, you're so cute." Emily smiles, both of them glancing at her. "Sorry, I didn't mean to say that out loud." She mutters.
"Back to the birthday situation, I'll think about changing it. I would only be right for me to do it after everything you've both changed just to live here." Kyle says, knowing it would be a huge change for him after 20 years of his current birthday.
"Would it be easy to change if that's what you wanted?" Lucas asks, never having heard of it being done before.
"I think in the circumstances, something can be done about it." Brax says, facing Kyle. "You let me know when you've made your mind up and I can look into it for you."
"No need, I'm going to do it. I want to, so we can be proper triplets." Kyle smiles. "It wouldn't feel right not celebrating together. It's going to be weird getting used to it, but it's what I want. Even if it can't be legally changed, we can still change it ourselves. I don't need a bit of paper to tell me when I'm born."
"The baby unit only guessed when you were born, so I'm sure there's something we can do. I was going to head to Angelo's now for a delivery, but I can make some calls afterwards." Brax says as he stands up.
"Thank you." Kyle smiles as Brax walks out.
"So what should we do for it?" Lucas asks. "It's our 21st, and that's a pretty big birthday. It's also our first one together so we have to do something special."
"Why don't you celebrate twice?" Emily suggests. "A personal one for just you guys and close family, and then a bigger one for everyone."
"That's not a bad idea." Tyler says. "We could do a family meal for family, and then a big night out with all of your friends."
"You know our friends don't hate you, so you can say our friends." Kyle says.
"Tell that to the cold shoulders I got the last time I saw them." Tyler says.
"Come on, that was after all of those big fights being caused, before you changed." Lucas says. "I know Blake and a few of the other guys are okay with you now." He says, Kyle glancing at him before thinking to himself.
"I was thinking about meeting up with Blake later, I think he had the afternoon off." Kyle says. "I could suggest a boys night out before our birthday if you're worried about not having a good night on our 21st." He says.
"Yeah, that sounds like a good idea." Lucas nods as Casey walks out.
"Where's everyone else?" Casey asks.
"Chill out, Brax knows Denny's here but it's just us home." Tyler says. "Kyle snuck Emily through his window as well."
"I don't see what the problem is. Heath was allowed Bianca over whenever he wanted, so why can't we have our girlfriends over when we want?" Casey huffs.
"Because apparently he doesn't want another pregnancy announcement." Kyle says.
"So not fair. It's not like me and Denny are even in a great place to be thinking about anything like that." Casey says, going to his room to get her.
"Trouble in paradise already." Tyler mutters, them all staring at him. "I never meant anything bad, I just meant… Don't worry."
"Have you not got your eye on another girl?" Emily asks.
"Nope. I can't seem to find the right one. I'm happy being single right now, it gives me more time to focus on keeping my life on track and get used to this new normal. Plus I don't think spending the night at the caravan park would be a girls idea of a good night." Tyler says.
"I could set you up on a date if you ever wanted. A couple of my friends are single." Emily says.
"Cause that worked so well last time." Tyler lightly rolled his eyes.
"Yeah, maybe stay out of this one." Kyle smirks. "Anyway, do you want a lift home when you're ready?"
"That would be great. I've not got much study left to catch up on, and I want to get it done soon so I can have more spare time." Emily says.
