Braxton House
"Hey, you're back!" Ricky beams as the triplets walk through the door behind Heath, who went to get them from the airport.
"We are, and we had a great time!" Lucas grins. "Thanks again for the trip away, even if it was for our birthday last year." He laughs.
"Hey, that's not my fault Nate put it off for so long." Kyle says.
"More like your brain put it off for so long because that's the real reason it took so long to happen, and also none of us were able to decide on where we wanted to go." Tyler says as Blake walks out, instantly in Lucas's embrace. "Get a room you two!" He laughs.
"We will." Lucas smiles as him and Blake walk into the hallway.
"Well that's our cue to leave. Where's everyone else?" Kyle asks as they walk out.
"Brax is at Angelo's with Bianca and the kids and Casey is at Cheryl's trying to stop world war three from starting!" Ricky says.
"What's happened now?" Heath groans.
"Cheryl is now accusing Brax of forcing her out of Henry's life and is demanding to see him a few times a week. I don't want to say a bad thing about your mum, but she's becoming so possessive over Henry and I don't want someone like her around my son." Ricky says. "Either an agreement is come to in the hopes she will stop this behaviour, or I'm going to have to become even stricter and get officials involved."
"Officials?" Kyle frowns.
"Cheryl was babysitting for us yesterday and tried taking Henry to the city for a few nights without telling us. It took me hours to try and calm Brax down once we got Henry back and it took so much for me to try and stop him killing her." Ricky says, not knowing where it all went wrong with her mother in law.
"This has all been going on for a really long time now." Kyle mutters.
"Hardly." Heath says. "It only seems to have been since just before Henry's birth."
"No, I remember Brax mentioning a few things back when I was in hospital last year. Don't get me wrong, it was never anything as bad as this, but I don't remember much about it." Kyle says.
"You having memory problems again?" Heath asks, there having been a few issues with Kyle's memory over the last year, but Nate wasn't too concerned over it considering the brain injury Kyle had from the accident.
"No, I just don't remember it much as I was high on a lot of pain meds at the time." Kyle says.
"You did have one forgetful moment while we were away." Tyler comments.
"You said you wouldn't mention that!" Kyle glares.
"Well I'm glad you did, Tyler. Nate needs to know, he said your forgetful moments weren't anything to worry about but there's obviously something going on in that brain of yours." Heath says. "And don't even think about arguing about it, it's going to happen whether you like it or not."
Surf Club - Angelo's
"Hey, how was Spain?" Brax smiles as his brothers walk up to the bar.
"Really good. I was surprised at how much Spanish Lucas knew." Kyle smiles.
"I did tell you he was extremely fluent in Spanish, that's why it was one of the best choices we had." Tyler says.
"I never knew he could speak other languages." Heath says, barely even able to say bonjour himself.
"Yeah, he knows Spanish and French really well. He also knows a little in German and Greek as well." Tyler says. "He was really into learning other languages in school but his favourite was always Spanish."
"Where is Lucas?" Brax asks.
"He had a welcome home party from Blake so we decided to come here." Kyle smirks.
"That was probably a good call, Blake's been moping around like a lost puppy these past few weeks." Brax smirks as he hands Henry over to Kyle.
"Hey little man." Kyle smiles, glancing up as Tyler walks over to where Ricky, Bianca and Heath were talking in the corner.
"What's that about?" Brax asks.
"I had one forgetful moment while we were away and now they are fussing like it's a huge deal." Kyle rolls his eyes.
"You know Nate wanted to keep an eye on it for the first year or two. You didn't go drinking any alcohol while over there did you? And don't lie, I will find out." Brax says.
"I did not have a drop! Lucas and Tyler didn't get drunk either, although they did have a few drinks every now and then." Kyle says. "You don't have to worry about that, I'm not even interested in drinking alcohol anymore which makes me sound boring."
"No, it makes you sound conscious of the meds you're on. I bet you're feeling great now Nate's fully taken you off your antidepressants?"
"Yep. However with Heath deciding on having a wedding in, what's it now, four weeks time, things are going to start getting really stressful." Kyle says.
"Well better believe that we've gone ahead of the schedule, so that really helps. Bianca has given Heath more responsibility after proving he could be trusted with the invitations." Brax says.
"Could he be trusted with the invitations or was he under a watchful eye?" Kyle asks with a smirk.
"He had me, Casey and Blake helping him, and I think Blake has been secretly reporting back to Bianca." Brax smirks.
"That's not surprising for either of them." Kyle laughs. "Anyway, I heard things haven't been great here with Cheryl."
"Don't even get me started with her. She was never like this when Rocco came along, I don't understand why she has started now with Henry." Brax says. "She says it's because she has rights with me being the eldest son but we all know that's bull. I'm not letting her near Henry again, that's for sure."
"You sure cutting her completely out is going to help anything?" Kyle asks.
"No, but she wasn't the greatest mum to me, so why would she be any different towards Henry?" Brax shrugs. "And then there's her homophobic comments towards Blake-"
"She was homophobic about Blake?" Kyle frowns, not having heard about that.
"Yep, but don't worry we shut her down about that as well." Brax says as the others walk over to them.
"I've just got off the phone with Nate and he wants you in for a check up tomorrow morning." Heath says, raising an eyebrow as Kyle mutters something under his breath.
"I'm fine, I don't need a check up!" Kyle moans as he hands Henry back over to Brax, who was ready to feed him.
"You know it's just to make sure everything is okay after your long flight. It was the agreement for you going across the world on holiday." Brax says.
"Yes, okay I'll go! But I can tell you now everything will be fine. And what about wedding planning, shouldn't you be doing that instead of us being here?"
"There was something I wanted to do before carrying on with some more things." Heath says.
"Like what?" Kyle asks, frowning as Heath drags him out onto the balcony. "Heath, what're you doing?"
"Just wanted to talk, just us two. It might have got a bit awkward with the others if this didn't go as planned." Heath says.
"Okay, whatever this is, it's a no." Kyle says.
"You don't even know what I'm going to ask yet!" Heath shakes his head.
"It sounds like you're about to propose and didn't want to be embarrassed." Kyle jokes, laughing at Heath's face.
"Well technically it is a type of proposal." Heath says.
"What? I was joking." Kyle frowns.
"Well I'm not joking when I ask if you'll be my best man." Heath says, Kyle staying silent in shock.
"Me?"
"Yeah, who else?"
"Why me? I thought you were going to choose Brax or Casey, or even Tyler, you've been close to him." Kyle says, not making sense of it.
"We've just come a long way in the past year and a half and I actually feel like you grew up with us. We got past a lot of bad things and now we can finally be brothers without any of the bad stuff being brought up again. I don't want Brax, Casey or Tyler, I want you. So what do you say? Will you be my best man?" Heath says.
"Of course I will." Kyle smiles.
"Good, cause Lucas was my back up and I don't think he would have been impressed if I asked him to pretend to be you." Heath smirks.
"You were seriously going to do that?" Kyle scoffs, both of them laughing as he nods.
"Yep, I think he would have done it as well." Heath says.
"Not if I told him not to." Kyle smirks.
"Anyway, I'm glad you've agreed to be my best man without needing to think about it."
"How come?"
"We've got the final suit fitting tomorrow." Heath says as he pushes himself off the balcony.
"The final suit fitting? I haven't even done the first one." Kyle frowns.
"Yeah, I know. I had to use Casey as a rough estimate, obviously I told them a lot less so it wouldn't be too big on you." Heath says, walking back inside, leaving Kyle stood in amazement at Heath's thought process behind it.
