Chapter 1: The Mystery of the Missing Tortoise Racer
One day in Canterlot City, Sun is in her bedroom packing her things in a small suitcase. Sun's small orange suitcase is on the bed and she places a few clothes, books, notebooks with pencils and pens. She places a small box that has her geode, Chaos Bracelet, and her medallion. On the ground, Nina places her food bowl, drink bowl, food for herself and Ray, a few toys and her portable bed. After putting her things in the suitcase. Sun also brings a portable terrarium.
Sun holds her hand in her large terrarium and Ray sticks his head out.
Sun smiles and says, "Alright Ray, it's time for us to go."
Ray smiles and walks on Sun's hand. Sun lifts her hand out of her terrarium and puts him in the portable one. Then Sun closes the lid.
"Are you all ready to go?" Sun asks.
Nina nods her head, "I'm ready."
Just then, the door opens to reveal Screwball holding Regana in her arms.
"Hey sis, are you ready to go to Equestrai?" Screwball asks.
"I am. Thank you," Sun says.
"I got Regana's things ready too so she's ready to go," Screwball says, holding a light green bag covered in blue and white flowers.
"Thank you Screwball," Sun says with a smile.
Screwball asks, "Do you really want to go to Equestria for two weeks?"
"I know you're feeling a bit uneasy since it's already been almost two month since I got back from my last adventure, but everyone suggests I should get a bit of time off, especially my friends. I made up all my assignments, school work, and there has been wild magic popping up lately and my friends and I had to stop them. Even the girls think it will be good for me to get a little rest and spend time with my friends in Equestria," Sun says with a smile.
"I understand, but um, can you get me something while you're in Equestria," Screwball asks.
Sun smiles and hugs Screwball, "I promise. I'll be sure to give you and dad lots of presents and I'll tell Princess Twilight and the others you said hi."
"Okay," Screwball happily says with a smile.
Sometime later, Sun is in front of the portal with Screwball, Discord, and her friends.
Pinkie says, "Bye Sun."
"We'll see you soon," Screwball says.
"Make sure you have a great time," Falling Star says.
"And don't forget to take lots of pictures and bring back some souvenirs," Sonata says.
Aria rolls her eyes, "Really."
"What?" Sonata asks, shrugging her shoulders.
Sun giggles, "Don't worry, I promise to bring you some souvenirs and take plenty of pictures for you to see."
"Bye everyone. I'll see you in two weeks," Sun says.
Then turns to Regana, "Hey goodbye, Regana."
"Buye buye," Regana happily says.
"Bye," Everyone replies.
Sun then walks right through the portal holding Regana and her suitcase. Nina takes her own along with Ray's terrarium as they go through the portal too.
In Equestria, Twilight Sparkle is at the portal with Spike. They are sitting next to two suitcases and Tank the Tortoise who is in a pet carrier. Suddenly, the portal creates a vortex and Sun holding Regana, her suitcase, Nina, and Ray come out.
Sun says, "Hi Twilight."
"Hey Sun, it's great to see you," Twilight happily says.
"You too," Sun says.
Then they both give each other a hug.
Sun turns to see Spike, "Hi Spike, it's great to see you."
"You too. Hi Regana," Spike says.
The baby giggles as she holds on to Spike's claw with her baby hooves.
"I'm really glad to spend time with you all. Sure I need to do some official duties while I'm here, but I'm glad to get to spend time with my friends and family," Sun says.
"Great because Twilight and I are ready to go to the Annual Great Northern Tortoise Races!" Spike says, excited.
"Me too. Of course, Nina and Ray really want to check out Fluttershy's Sanctuary," Sun says.
"Don't worry, Starlight is taking them over on her way to see Zecora," Twilight says.
"They'll have a great time while we're gone," Spike says.
"Yes," Sun says.
Nina says, "I'm interested in how our vacation is going to go."
Then turns to Ray, "What do you think?"
Ray simply made chirping sounds.
"Me too," Nina says.
Sometime later on the Friendship Express, Twilight, Sun, Spike, and Regana are on the train heading to the Tortoise Race with Tank as their racer.
Spike cheers, "I can't believe we're going to see the Great Northern Tortoise Races!"
"Me too! I'm just sorry Rainbow had Wonderbolt Duty, or she would have been the one to take Tank," Twilight says.
"It's okay! I told her I'd write it all down in my journal for her," Spike says.
Sun brings out her camera, "And I can take pictures."
"Great idea. Maybe you can tell her a little how it all got started too," Twilight says.
"So how did the race get started? I never heard of the Tortoise race before," Sun asks.
Spike soon begins to yawn as Twilight is starting with her lecture.
"It's a great historical event. It all began seventy-four years ago to celebrate the Spirit of Friendship among the Highland Ponies. A pony named Auteur Cone saw his pet tortoise racing his best friend Bake Streak's pet tortoise. They soon have some good-natured bets on the race and the rest is history," Twilight says.
"Sounds fascinating," Sun says.
"Yeah. The tortoises themselves are pretty interesting too. They're allergic to arugula, but like lettuce… and they can have quite a kick when they're upset. The racers all wear racing gear to protect themselves just in case…" Twilight begins to explain.
Suddenly, Sun begins to giggle making Twilight confused. She points her hoof to see Spike is sleeping. Then notices Regana is sleeping as well.
"Let Spike have his nap. It's going to be a fun weekend," Sun says.
"Right," Twilight happily replies.
Sometime later, Spike is still sleeping on the chair.
Twilight says, "Spike! Wake up! We're here!"
That cause Spike to quickly wake up with an excited jump. Then all four head off together to get off the train. They all get off the train and retrieve their luggage. Even Tank who is in his carrier and a little surprise from Pinkie Pie. Soon, they begin to make their way to the race and the excitement.
"I can't wait to see you in your new racing shell at the race tomorrow, Tank! Pinkie painted it especially for you," Spike says.
"I can't wait to see what he looks like wearing it, but I also can't wait to see the town and the festival," Sun says.
"I can't wait to see the town too. The Trotlanders go all out to celebrate the races. I can't imagine what…" Twilight says.
However, the three come to a stop and gasp in shock. Everyone is shocked to see the town is deserted, cold, and quiet. There isn't a single pony around the city.
"What happened here?" Sun asks.
"It looks deserted," Spike says, weary.
"What could have made the city so… so sad?" Twilight asks.
Suddenly, Someone says, "Silver Blaze."
The three yelp in fright and turn to see a turquoise green pony with dark turquoise green mane and tail, and yellow eyes. She is wearing a police uniform.
The pony says, "Sorry, didn't mean to startle you. I'm Inspector Leigh Stride of Trotland Yard. I've been investigating The Mystery of Silver Blaze."
The three soon calm down
"I'm Twilight Sparkle and this is my friend Sun," Twilight says.
"Hello. And the baby is Regana and the dragon is Spike," Sun says.
"Twilight Sparkle? Sun? You both are the princesses and soon to become rulers of Equestria. It's an honor to meet you," Leigh Stride says.
"Sun blushes, "thank you.
"You said that there was a Silver Blaze? What's that?" Twilight asks.
"Not what. Who" Leigh Stride replies.
Suddenly, a piece of paper hits Spike's face. He removes and notices something on the paper.
Confused, Spike asks, "This who?"
Twilight and Sun look at the paper to see that it's a lost poster. It reads, 'Silver Blaze Missing!' It also has the description and the picture of the turtle. It's skin is light greenish blue, with a light turquoise shell with dark green and green circles pattern on it.
"Aww. He looks cute, but Tank is cute too," Sun says.
"So this is Silver Blaze," Twilight replies.
Leigh Stride says, "Yes. Silver Blaze, the reigning champion went missing last week, and it's been a dark cloud over the whole town. I'm not even sure we're going to have the race now. No one wants to party or bet or celebrate. The city is losing money and tourists, and we're left with this very gray town. It's a mystery most foul."
Suddenly, Twilight says, "This is a crime against friendship and as the Princess of Friendship, it's both my and Sun's duty to fix the problem so the Friendship races can resume."
"I'm with you Twilight," Sun says.
Then turns to the inspector, "Don't worry Inspector, Twilight and I have some experiences in solving cases and we'll help find Silver Blaze and continue the races."
"We'd be honored to have your help princesses. We're certainly at our wits end about this," Leigh Stride says.
"The honor is ours. Let's drop our luggage off at the hotel and then we'll begin investigating," Twilight says.
Later in the morning, The two princesses, and others accompany the inspector to investigate the tortoise's disappearance.
"We do have an idea what happened, princess, but it's not helping us find Silver Blaze," Leigh Strides says.
"What's the working theory?" Twilight asks.
"We think that Downey Burn's Groundskeeper, Millerspoke, left the gate open and Silver Blaze ran wild," The inspector says.
"That is a good theory, but we'll need to be sure," Sun says.
Suddenly, someone shouts, "Do ye know nothing?"
The group turns over to see an elderly pegasus mare. She has ivory color fur with white mane and tail in a bun, wears a purple neck and small glasses.
She demands, "The show must go on!"
"Alder Brown. At least you've still got the racing fever," The inspector says.
"I do. My bonny Scarlet Study is going to win this year," The mare, Alder Brown says.
"Right," the inspector weary says.
Then says, "Princess, this is Alder Brown. She's one of the Tortoise races, if we have a race this year."
"We must have a race!" Aldar says.
Then shouts, "For the last dozen years, Downey Burn's Silver Blaze always beat whatever tortoise I raced against her. Worse yet, I tried to buy Silver Blaze when she was a hatchling."
"You wanted to buy her?" Sun asks.
"Yes! But that rapscallion Downey Burn bought her out from under me! I need this race so she can finally have her just comeuppance!" Aldar says angrily.
"We have every faith that we'll solve this mystery and, in doing so, get the race back on," Twilight says.
"Yeah. Sun and Twilight Sparkle have solved mysteries before. Even though Sun lives in a different world," Spike says.
"Thanks Spike," Sun says.
"I guess so. But see to it the race will go on," Alder says.
Then walks off.
The inspector says, "Let's go see Millerspoke."
"Alright," Twilight says.
Twilight and the others begin to make their way to the Groundskeeper's house. Still having Regana in the baby carrier, Sun turns to see Alder Brown leaving and gives her a look of suspicion. Sun then continues to follow the others as she writes the information down in her notebook. Sometime later, they reach Downey Burn's Farm.
"This is Millerspoke's cabin. We're pretty sure it was his negligence that let Silver Blaze run wild," The inspector says.
"She's a tortoise. Do they really run wild? I mean, how fast do they crawl?" Spike asks.
Then turns to the tortoise, "No offense, Tank."
"Never mind that, Spike. Let's talk to this Groundskeeper," Twilight says.
They soon approach the door of the Groundskeeper.
Leigh Stride says, "Millerspoke is hard of hearing, princess. You're going to have to really pound on it."
Twilight soon begins to knock on the door, no answer. She then knocks louder.
Just then, the door opens revealing a bluish color stallion with green eyes, back blond made.
He angrily says, "You don't have to pound, Leigh stride! I ain't deaf, ye know."
"No, just mostly deaf," Leigh Stride comments.
"What?" The Groundskeeper asks.
"Are you Millerspoke?" Sun asks.
"Yes. Yes I am," the stallion says.
"I'm Sun and this is Twilight Sparkle. We're here to find Silver Blaze. Can we ask you some questions?" Sun replies.
Twilight wraps herself in her arms, "Burr. It's kind of cold outside."
"You're not used to our highland breezes. Come on in here ye catch a cold," Millerspoke says.
Everypony walks into the house and Spike closes the door.
"Thank you Millerspoke. Now, can you tell us what happened a week ago," Sun replies as Twilight takes her notebook out.
"Right. I'd just fed Silver Blaze her evening carrots-ach, she and I love carrots-and I went out to do some stargazing. And, well, I feel asleep. I'm a pretty sound sleeper," Millerspoke says.
"Aside from your snoring. You left out the part where you left the gate open and Silver Blaze broke out, running free. We found tortoise tracks by your stargazing spot. And then you took off, leaving Silver Blaze to fend for herself," Leigh Stride says.
Millerspoke angrily says, "No! I love that tortoise like she was m'own wee bairn. I never would have been so careless… and moreover, it drives me mad that all of ye think I did it. Why dinna any of you believe me when I say I forgot to lock the gate?!"
Sun and Twilight feel sad.
Twilight says, "It must be very painful to have your friends turned on you."
"Ponies I thought were my friends. But yea, it is," Millerspoke says.
"I bet it was. I know exactly how you felt. I was accused of something I didn't do as well and my friends turned on me. It wasn't a nice feeling at all. It… it really hurt," Sun sadly says.
She then places her hooves on Millerspoke's, "I may not know you, but I can tell that you really loved Silver Blaze and would never make a mistake like that. Twilight and I will be sure to know what really happened."
Twilight smiles and says, "I think we have everything we need here. Let me finish warming up and we'll be out of your hair."
"Ye still looks cold. I think I have a spare coat and hats ye both can borrow," Millerspoke says.
Soon the group of investigators leave the house. Twilight is wearing a brown coat and a deerstalker hat. Sun is wearing a gray coat and a small gray hat.
"Thank you for these! We'll return them when we head back," Twilight says.
But Millerspoke says, "Nah, keep them. They fit ye. Also, you're the only one of these ponies who gave me the benefit of the doubt. It is my gift to you."
Not long, Twilight, Sun, and the others reach Silver Blaze's owner's home.
Twilight asks, "Are you sure he's the one who did it, inspector?"
"It seems impossible that anyone else could have done it," The inspector says.
"Well, accusing him of something without strong possible answers isn't going to help find her. Just because Silver Blaze's footprints are there, doesn't mean he left the gate open," Sun says.
"Sun's right. Once you eliminate the possible, whatever's left, no matter how improbable must be the truth," Twilight says.
Sun walks to the door and knocks on it. The door opens to reveal a light pink mare with bright pink hair covering her magenta eyes a little and is wearing a dark blue sweater.
She shyly asks, "Can I help ye?"
"This is Twilight Sparkle, Sun, and Spike… consulting detectives for the Magic of friendship," Leigh Stride says.
Then Twilight says, "May we come in? We like to see Downey Burn."
"Yes. I'm her sister, Nock Point. Wait here, I'll go get her," The mare, Nock Pointe says.
The girls, dragon, and tortoise walk into the house as Nock Pointe leaves to fetch her sister. To their surprise, they can see so many different dolls in one room.
"Wow! I love your dolls," Twilight says.
Nock Pointe screams, "They're nae dolls! They're fully poseable articulated collectibles! Now let me get Downy."
She then leaves to get her sister.
Leigh Stride says, "She's very particular about these."
Sun, Twilight, and Spike notice a doll unwrapped on the table with a paper. Sun looks at it and it reads, 'Carousel Boutique' and 'Pass Due.'
"Well, she does have great taste in dolls… articulated collectible… dresses. She had Rarity make these," Twilight says.
Sun says, "And according to the receipt, she seems to be overdue with the payment on the dolls and dresses.
Just then, someone asks, "Can I help ye?"
The group turn their heads to see a light yellow mare with blue mane and tail, and emerald green eyes. She is wearing a purple shirt and hat, and bandages wrapped around her head. Sun is curious to how Downey Burns has been injured. She has a black eye, bandages wrapped around her head and a small bandage on her cheek.
"Hello. Are you Downey Burns?" Twilight asks.
"Yes," Downey asks.
"We thought with a fresh eye we might be able to tell what really happened to Silver Blaze," Leigh Stride says.
"Can you tell us what you know?" Sun asks.
"As best I can," Downey says.
Everyone steps outside as Downey Burns tries to remember what happened.
Downey explains, "I came out a few nights back to check me Silver Blaze. She's me prize turtle, and I need to make sure she was ready for the race tomorrow. But then, the gate was open an' she was gone.
Then points to another house, "Alder Brown is probably over there just laughing about my misfortune. My tortoise on the loose in the wild of the moors-who knows where she is?"
"I just miss her, and I'm sorry for everything that's happened to her. I wish… I wish," Downey Brown says, and begins to sob.
Sun, Twilight, and Spike can see Downey Brown is worried about Silver Blaze.
Twilight then notices Tank walking towards a bag of open arugula.
She panics, "Stay away from that, Tank! That's not lettuce. It's arugula. It'll give you a big stomach ache…"
Downey then walks over and brings out a carrot, " I know what you mean. Silver Blaze hates arugula with a passion."
Then gives the carrot to Tank, "Here, have this instead. Carrots are… carrots were Silver Blaze's favorite."
"Thank you for your help, Downey," Twilight says, and walks down the road.
Sun and Spike join them.
Spike asks, "Where to now, Twilight?"
"Why, Alder Brown's farm, of course, my good dragon," Twilight says.
Sun giggles in reply.
"Alder Brown lives just across the way, princess." The inspector says.
Soon, they arrive at the farm. Then spike stubs his toe on a root and yelps.
Spike hops as he screams, "Oh! Ouch! My toe!"
"What is it Spike?" Twilight asks.
"I stubbed my toe on that root!" Spike yelps.
Twilight brings out a branch and gives it to Spike, "Here, use this branch like a cane. It'll help keep the pressure off of it."
"Thanks Twilight," Spike says.
Soon enough, they arrive at Alder Brown's farm, and see her arriving at the gates.
She says, "Use it like a cane to limp on out of here. You're not welcome. I know you've come to see Scarlet Study, and I'm telling ye, ye can't see her until the races, of course."
Twilight and Sun look at each other.
Then Twilight turns to Alder Brown, "You seem very protective of your racing tortoise."
"Wouldn't you be? She's a phenomenon. No one saw the likes of her," Alder says.
"No one's seen her at all since last year's race," Leigh Stride says.
Sun then turns her head to notice a few carrot stems sticking out of the barrel. Some of the carrots have bites taken out of them.
Alder says, "Be gone with ye, unless ye've come to tell me the race is back on. Then maybe ye'd be welcoming to have a cider or something."
"But aren't you worried about Silver Blaze? At all?" Sun asks.
"I'm sure she's fine, wherever she is," Alder says.
With that, everyone leaves the farm and is heading back to town.
"Hmm, I think we got everything we need," Sun says.
"I agree. Let's head back to the hotel and put our clues and stories together," Twilight says.
"I do hope we solve the race and figure out what really happened," Sun says.
"Me too. Seems that a lot of friendships are counting on us to find a tortoise in this town. I hope we solve it before tomorrow," Twilight says.
In the hotel room, Twilight and Sun place their hat and coat on the rack while Regana is sleeping in the bed. Spike pats Tank on his shell who is looking very sad.
Twilight smiles and says, "Cheery up, Tank. Hopefully we'll solve this case and get you back in this race."
Spike brings out a small case and opens it, "I know what will cheer him up."
He then brings out a blue shell that has the cutie marks of Twilight and her friends with a flower that has the number 16 on one side.
"Your racing shell! You didn't really get a chance to see if after Pinkie Pie finished painting it," Pinkie says, and puts it over Tank's shell like a cover.
Sun looks at the shell and says, "It looks pretty and he looks so cute with it on."
Tank smiles.
"You know, Tank, you look like a completely different turtle in that thing," Spike says.
Sun smiles as she looks at Tank and says, "He does, doesn't do it."
Suddenly, Twilight says, "Why… That's it!"
Spike and Sun look at Sun with confused expressions.
"What's it?" spike asks.
Sun then notices, "You figured out what happened, didn't you?"
"I did. I need to talk to Leigh Stride, now!" Twilight says.
Twilight leaves her room at top speed. She runs down stairs, out the door and arrives at a Cider Shop.
Twilight says, "Inspector! We not only should have the race, we must have the race. It's only then that we'll find Silver Blaze!"
"Are you sure? We were about to officially cancel the race out of respect for Silver Blaze. No pony much feels like enjoying ourselves. Why, pole story over there has only had two cider he's so upset…" Leigh Stride asks.
Twilight says, "Come on, this race is supposed to be about friendship! And friends come together for each other when things are down! This town needs the race! You need the race! SILVER BLAZE NEEDS THE RACE!"
Twilight calls out, "Hang the banners! Light up the lights! Take the Bets! Let's get this race racing again!"
The ponies head out to do what Twilight says. They all chant, 'For Silver Blaze!'
One of the mares says, "The race must take place!"
Twilight lets out a tired sigh.
Spike walks over and asks, "Are you okay, Twilight?"
"I don't know how Pinkie finds the energy to get ponies excited about celebrating all the time! It's exhausting!" Twilight says, tired.
The next day, the Tortoise is on it's way and the ponies are gathering at the station. Twilight and Tank wear their racing gear as Spike and Sun hold their entry tickets.
Leigh Stride walks over and says, amazed, "You managed to reignite the love of racing in the town, princess."
"I just reignited some of their friendship. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a ride to run, and Sun and I have a mystery to solve," Twilight says.
Sometime later, Sun and Spike are sitting in the front row of the race. Spike then uses his binoculars to see Twilight at the race track with Tank.
Tank then places Tank at the track, "Alright Tank, ready to race?"
Tank nods his head.
Twilight places Tank at the starting line with the other tortoise. Beside her is Alder Brown and the other there is another racer. Just then, a purple mare wearing a Scottish outfit walks on the stage
She then announces, "Here ye, year ye! Get ready for the 74th Annual Great Northern Tortoise Friendship Race! It's been seventy four years since Auteur Cone and Baker Streak raced their tortoises and cemented their friendship! That spirit of friendship continues to this day. Gentle ponies, start your tortoises! On your marks… get set… GO!"
And the race is off, on a rather small track. The turtles begin to race against each other.
Then the announcer says, "An' Scarlet Study starts early with a commanding lead!"
"Commanding?" Spike asks.
All the ponies wait at the edge of their seats to see the turtles racing against each other… rather slowly. Tank is doing his best, but Scarlet Study is still ahead of him. The racing owners are beginning to get anxious. After the anxious and yet exciting race the winner has crossed the finish line.
"And the winner is… it's Scarlet Study!" The announcer says.
Many of the ponies cheer with excitement.
One of the racers says, "Wow! I can't believe how fast that went! I think we've got a new speed record!"
"Seriously! Spike says annoyed.
Sun and Spike join Twilight and Tank.
"Maybe so but the race is not over yet, fellow races!" Twilight says.
Twilight walks to Scarlet Study, "That's right, because underneath Scarlet Study's racing shell is…"
Sun removes the shell cover to reveal a familiar pattern on the tortoise's back.
"Silver Blaze!" Sun announces.
Everyone is shocked, surprised, and begins to get excited to see Silver Blaze is at the race and has won it once again. Most of all, everyone is glad that Silver Blaze is back. Even the racers are shocked.
The racers begin to ask, "What happened? What's going on." And such.
"Allow us to explain. Downey owed money because of her sister's, uh, Fully Posable Articulated Collectibles habit, a lot of money," Twilight says.
"We saw a bill from Carousel Boutique that is past due. Downey Burn decided to sabotage Silver Blade and bet against her. She planned to give her a stomach ache before the race," sun says.
"However, Silver Blaze hate Arugula, and she kicked Downey Burn, giving her a black eye and knock her own while she ran away," Twilight says
"When Downey Burn knocked out and Millerspoke stargazing, Silver Blaze was attracted to all the carrots and crawled into his wagon. Since he has trouble hearing, he never noticed her crawling inside or hearing her munching on the carrots. That's why her footprints were where Millerspoke and his wagon were," Sun says.
"Silver Blaze then saw Alder Brown's Carrot Farm as MillerSpoke leaves his house with the cart. She then hops off and heads to the carrot farm," Twilight says.
"Alder Brown then saw Silver Blaze eating her carrots and that explained the eat up carrots at her home. That when she has an idea on how she can win this year's race. Since she was still upset about the disagreement about buying Silver Blaze, she decided to use her to win this year's race by disguising her as Scarlet Study. However, with everypony and especially Downey Burn will be upset that Silver Blaze went missing, her plan might not work. That's why she is so keen about wanting the race to continue." Sun says.
"We figured that if the race continues, then Alder Brown would bring Silver Blaze here for the race, hidden in Scarlet Study's racing shell," Twilight says.
Sun pats Silver Blaze's shell, "Now I think there's someone who is going to be glad to see you again.
Just then Downey reaches to Silver Blaze and hugs her, "Silver Blaze! I thought ye were lost forever! I'm so glad ye're back!"
Seeing Downey Burn happy and crying to have Silver Blaze back, makes Alder realize the consequences of her action.
Alder says, "I'm sorry. I was just so sore I took advantage…"
However, Downey hugs Alder, "No! Ye don't get it. When Silver Blaze was lost and alone, she went to ye. Because she trusted ye, like I used ta. She remembered we were still friends even when we dinna."
Soon, both mares begin to hug each other.
Alder says, "I'm sorry for everything, y'old codger. Canna we just be friends again?"
"Of course we can. Nothing I'd liked more," Downey says.
Twilight and Sun smile to see the two girls made up and are friends again.
"Now this is what the race is all about. Friendship," Sun says.
"I guess they've forgotten and made this race all about the racing and the betting, it should be about the Friendship," Twilight says.
"And now they realize friendship is more important than any race. I think Silver Blaze also wanted to remind them that," Sun says.
Regana happily giggles as she moves her hooves.
Twilight turns to Tank, "I'm sorry you didn't win the race, Tank. I'm glad you're okay with it."
Tank moves his leg and smiles with glee.
Alder says to Downey, "You know I could loan ye some money to pay off that debt."
"That's verra kind of you, but first, let's apologize to Millerspoke," Downey Burn says.
Spike turns to Sun and Twilight, "So how do you do it? You came in here out of nowhere and solved this case and got old friends back together. You're amazing."
"And you, my dear Spike, are complimentary. Quite complimentary," Twilight says.
She then winks her eye in reply.
