It was a few hours later when the small girl came into the barracks and walked up to Baccara. She had blonde hair and her fathers bright blue eyes watching him clean his kit from under the domed ridge. Looking at her, Baccara finally broke the silence, "What is it kid?"

Blinking, she spoke, "You help daddy keep all of us safe?"

Baccara knelt down to look the small child in the face and this startled him. Wishing he could comm one of his brothers for suggestions on how to deal with children he nodded, "Yes that's right."

The child threw her arms around his neck, "I love you!" Baccara started to panic, what did he do? Signing his brother's Help!

They shrugged having no idea either. Then he heard another voice, "Now Kala you shouldn't startle him." A young woman with black hair appeared in the doorway and held out her arms for the child.

Running to her the girl, Kala, was picked up, "Sylvn!" As she was placed on the woman's hip, "They help daddy keep us safe."

Smiling at them, "Thank you for helping Father." Then pinching Kala's chin, "And you need to go to Mother Shea, she's looking all over for you." With that she set the girl down and the child ran off towards the house where a voice was calling for her. Turning back to the troops, "Thank you for being so kind to her." A look came over her face as she continued "Kala doesn't know how cruel the universe can be."

"And you do?" The question came from Scorch off to Bacara's right.

Nodding Sylvn spoke, "My friends and I were enslaved by the Hutts and almost killed several times before my Father could rescue us." Turning she left to follow little Kala before the troops could say anything else.

Looking at Scorch Bacara shared a shrug. It seems this family was more complicated than they had thought. Although the General saving his children when he could was something that they could understand. He decided to call Neyo for advice on this.
