Hello, everyone! This is a new chapter! Chapter 18! I hope everyone will enjoy this chapter! Without further ado, let's start!

Normal POV

The two appeared in front of the building as Kai led the way into the building.

" They must be expecting us since there's no Reversed fighters around." Kai said

" Yeah... Let's hurry before everyone else comes to try and stop us... After this, we still have one more obstacle to cross..."

" Yeah, I know. There's no way we could've expected a ceremony to suddenly be announced."

Aichi nodded as they went up the elevator in silence, preparing for a fight that would put the world at stake. The elevator soon stopped at the floor that they arrived on as the doors opened.

" Welcome back, Aichi." Void greeted

" 'Welcome back'? What a greeting... This place isn't where I'm staying... I'm leaving as soon as I defeat your agent..."

" I wonder if you can."

Void led the way to the fight table as Reversed Takuto was waiting at the other side of the table. Kai left Aichi after walking to the table and stood aside to watch the fight.

" Good luck, Aichi."

Aichi clenched his deck and nodded as they set the table and began the fight. Despite his exhausted state, Aichi managed to clinch the win with his new unit, Monarch Sanctuary Alfred, against Reversed Takuto's unit, 'Omega' Glendios. Takuto was now free from the agent's control and Void sighed.

" I knew it wouldn't have worked."

" You promised. You'll leave this world alone after he wins."

" Yeah, yeah."

Void clicked his fingers as the black rings were broken and Aichi fell to his knees after letting out a sigh of relief.

" Aichi!"

Kai kept watch over Void while running over to Aichi to check on him.

" Are you okay?"

" Yeah... What about Takuto-kun?"

" Seems like he's just unconscious."

" I see..."

Kai glared at Void again while he just shrugged without a care.

" Glaring like that isn't going to get me to move."

" You're way too relaxed about this. What other plans are you trying?"

" Is that what you're thinking? I keep to my word, I won't bother this world anymore for now. However, I do plan on extending my stay."

" You're not welcome in this world!"

" It's not for you to decide. I'll be staying with you guys from now on."

" Huh?!"

" I don't know anything about this world. If I want to plan another invasion, I should get some guidance."

" Are you kidding me right now...? What are you even implying? You think we'll take you in after everything that you've done?" Kai ask

" What? You wouldn't want to leave me alone like this without me going on a rampage again, right?"

" I'd rather have the units take you back to Cray for some imprisonment instead."

" Won't work. They can't keep me restrained."

" I really don't understand what you're trying to do right now. What's your reason for all this? After what you've done, you shouldn't even be here. You would've been trying to seek revenge."

" Initially, that was my plan. But..." Void said as he walked over to them while Kai tightened his grip around Aichi, " ... I've grown pretty fond of him. I still intend to snatch him from you eventually."

" Not. Happening." Kai growled

" Kai-kun... Let's hurry back to everyone..."

Kai looked over to Aichi and nodded before turning back to look at Void.

" What about him?"

" Leave him be... I don't sense hostility within him anymore... We have to find the others and talk about what we should do since we've defeated the agent..."

" You defeated him. I didn't do anything else but cheer for you from the sidelines. Let's go then." Kai said

Aichi nodded as he took out his spear and Kai made sure to have a connection with Takuto before Aichi teleported them away from the building and back into the shop.

" You guys! We were worried about you two when you guys up and disappeared!" Misaki exclaimed

" Yeah, but it's okay now. Aichi defeated the agent and freed the Earth."

" That's great and all but...! Don't do that again!" Naoki exclaimed

" Sorry... We didn't want to burden everyone..."

" However, we do need to leave something for you guys to handle."

Kai moved aside to show Takuto as Kourin approached him and knelt down.

" Aichi defeated the agent, so he's also freed. Everything should be back to the way it was now." Kai explained

" I guess that's one good thing out of everything." Miwa said

" Wait! Does that mean we won't have to do that demonic training anymore?!" Naoki exclaimed

" ... Sounds like it!"

" Well, we won't force you to. This was outside of our expectations of the situation. If anyone else is still interested, then feel free to ask us to continue."

" On that note... Thank you to the three of you too... You guys came all the way to Earth to help us... We're very grateful..."

" You are our Vanguards. It's natural for us to help." Blade said

" Then, until the next time we meet..." Dark said

" Take care of yourselves." Overlord said

They all nodded as the three units disappeared back to Cray.

" ... They finally left. And here I thought I'll never be able to show myself."

Kai gasped as he turned to see Void behind them.

" Where did you come from?!"

" I told you. I'm staying in this world. I'm not letting him out of my sights."

" Who is he?!" Naoki exclaimed

" Void!"

" What?!"

" Your plans have already crumbled, so leave this world!"

" I'm not leaving. I made a deal with you two already."

" We did not agree to you staying here!"

" You did. That's why you guys came to the building in the first place. Apparently you couldn't read text messages properly." Void shrugged

" Huh?! And where in the message did you state that?!" Kai exclaimed

" Uh..."

Aichi had been reading through the message again and paled.

" At the bottom of the text after 'finish things'... 'If you are able to purge Link Joker from this world, I'll cooperate and not do anything to this world for now in exchange that I am allowed to stay for as long as I want'..."

" ... Are you serious?!"

" You purposely left so much space under that message!" Kai exclaimed after reading the message again

" Either way, you agreed."

" Damn it!"

" What do we do now?!" Naoki exclaimed

" As I've said, I'll stay and not do anything to this world. This is my promise." Void shrugged

Kai gritted his teeth in frustration as Aichi sighed as tugged his sleeve.

" Let's just go home... I'm exhausted and I don't have the energy to think so much right now..."

" We can't just leave him be!"

" That's why I said that I'm going to stay with you two. It'll keep me in check, right?"

" ... We're already going to be busy after this... I just want some rest..."

Kai hesitated for a few moments before nodding and carried Aichi on his back.

" We'll be heading off then. We'll bring this guy with us too, so settle yourselves. This entire incident already caused you guys some trouble. Also, we might not be around for a few days so don't go looking for us."

" Huh? Where are you two going?" Miwa ask

" ... Some business. Doesn't concern you guys. We'll be going now."

Kai nodded to Aichi as he teleported them back to Kai's apartment and he laid Aichi down to rest on the bed.

" Get some shut eye and rest. I'll be here if you need me."

Aichi nodded before drifting off to sleep as Kai sighed and looked at Void in silence for a few moments.

" Do whatever you like in this apartment but don't make a huge mess. I'm not expecting you to keep to your promise, but if you do intend to stay then I can't stop you, not with my current power."

" Alright then."

Void walked over to the bed as Kai grabbed his shoulder to stop him.

" No. You're not going anywhere near him without my permission." Kai warned

" I can do whatever I like in this apartment, right?"

" ... No. I take back my words. If you want to live here, then do your part. Clean the apartment, cook meals or buy groceries. That's all you need to do if you want to stay here. And no using your powers. If you want to know what this world is like, then live like the humans in this world."

" ... Alright then. Then at least do your part to teach me the basics."

Kai's eyebrow twitched as he sighed again. He slowly went through the basics of living on Earth, teaching Void the currencies, clothing, nearest places to the apartment, groceries and some housework.

" Cooking will take a long while to learn, so I won't be going through those basics yet. But these should be simple enough for you to learn by yourself."

Void pondered about what was explained to him as Kai shook his head slightly and stood up. Aichi's phone suddenly rang as he picked it up before Aichi could stir from his sleep.

" Hello, Reborn-san? ... No, he's just asleep. He's exhausted his strength. Yes, the problem we had is already settled on our end. There should be no problems to proceed with the ceremony." Kai said as he silently listened to Reborn's words and he gasped, " You're kidding... They were... I understand. We'll make sure to keep watch. Right, see you."

Void looked over to Kai's bothered expression as he raised an eyebrow.

" What is it?"

" ... None of your business."

" If it comes to business about battles, I'm an expert."

" What would you..." Kai stopped and thought about it before sighing, " I was just told that an elite and legendary assassination group had been attacked when they were trying to complete a mission, their bodies were left in a terrible state."

" And this must be related to those rings on your fingers."

" ... Yeah, it is. But if the enemy that plans to interrupt the ceremony is this strong, will Aichi be...?"

Kai glanced over to Aichi in worry.

" If he doesn't recover well before the ceremony, who knows what'll happen to him... I have to protect him..." Kai thought

Void stared at Kai before glancing over to Aichi and the rings on his fingers.

" Bring me too."

" Huh?"

" It's better to have me there than leave me be alone in this place. You wouldn't even know what I'm up to if the both of you are absent."

" And why would I do that?"

" Do you want a repeat of Link Joker again?"

" ... No. God, you're annoying...! Fine, but don't cause any trouble!"

Void shrugged as Kai clicked his tongue and went over to the kitchen to prepare dinner.

" Well... what's the worse that could happen if we brought him with us...?" Kai thought

Out of the corner of his eye, Kai spotted Void staring at something as he moved from the chair at the dining table towards the window beside the bed.

" I already warned you not to get close to Aichi."

" Doesn't matter right now." Void said as he glanced out of the window while leaning against the wall, " ... A spy?"

" What?!"

" I didn't like the aura I was feeling so I came to have a look. Looks like my hunch was right. You didn't even notice that man watching this place."

" Who?!"

Kai wiped his hands dry as Void put up his hand to stop Kai from approaching.

" He just left after seeing me. But I doubt that's the end of it."

" ... Now that I think about it, back at the mountain... We both sensed a hostile presence but never found it."

" They could be the same person, but who knows. This one was just spewing a slightly unpleasant aura. Not as detectable as normal but if you have heightened senses for auras like I do, it would be easy to spot."

" We're two days away from the ceremony... Could it have anything to do with these people we're sensing...?"

" Then what about that letter? It said something about everything starting at the ceremony... Could it be from someone trying to warn us?"

" ... Don't you have to cook? You can think about all of this when anything happens. Thinking too much now will drain yourself out."

Kai remained silent and continued to cook while worrying about the ceremony and Aichi's wellbeing. He finished making dinner for the three of them as he woke Aichi up to give him some food to eat before allowing him to rest again, explaining the situation from Reborn's phone call with him.

" If there's such a dangerous enemy, then all the more we have to hurry and do something about them... The ceremony might be the only way..."

" But Aichi..."

" Assassins or not, all we have to do is make sure nothing happens to him, right? Then just let me do the job." Void yawned

" You were the one who severed the spiritual links he had. We barely managed to get one back but without the other one, it would prove to be difficult to fight."

" Oh, that Cray unit? I don't know who or what it is, but it was definitely interesting. Besides, you still have yours connected to your body, right? That one will suffice."

" You really don't get the severity of the situation..." Kai muttered

" It's alright, Kai-kun... Even if I don't have her protection now, I'm sure Gredora-san will find a way to look out for me again... I'll just manage without her for now..."

" ... I'll have Darkface take over my body if it's something I can't handle alone."

Aichi nodded.

The next two days passed as it was now the day of the ceremony. They entered the venue of the ceremony as they looked up at the giant structure.

" They seriously rented an entire castle for this ceremony..." Kai muttered

" Yeah..."

" So where are the people we're supposed to meet?"

Aichi and Kai started looking around as they finally spotted Tsuna and the others.

" Tsuna-san!"

At his call, Tsuna and the others turned towards them and waved them over. The three walked over to them as Aichi caught sight of Yamamoto and stared at him for a few seconds before looking back at Tsuna.

" I'm surprised you decided to go ahead with this."

" Y-Yeah..."

Tsuna glanced over his shoulder as he spotted the unfamiliar Void and Kai as they also started to stare at Yamamoto. Chrome nervously fiddled with her spear as Aichi gave her an apologetic smile before turning back to Kai and Void.

" Hey, you two. Don't stare at him, he's already nervous as he is." Aichi said

Both broke eye contact with Yamamoto as Void stuffed his hands into his pants pocket while Kai huffed. Aichi then leaned forward to Tsuna to whisper.

" The illusion is working fine. But you'll have to explain to me why he isn't able to show up."

" R-Right..."

Aichi leaned back and sighed before smiling again.

" Now then, I guess I'll linger around with them before heading in with you guys. See you later."

" O-Okay!"

Aichi gave a small pat to Chrome's shoulder in assurance.

" You're doing fine." Aichi whispered as he walked away with Kai and Void, " Honestly, you two. It's obvious that he's fake, but please don't let anyone else see it too. I'm sure something's up, but they just don't want to let the cat out of the bag yet."

" I guess so. Where are we going right now though?" Kai ask

" Aren't we missing someone? I'm going to look for him."

Void then looked up from Aichi as he pointed to someone approaching them.

" Him, right?"

The footsteps came closer to them as Kai sighed.

" So it's just you."

" ... Carnivore. What's he doing here?"

Aichi looked back at Void before smiling again.

" A temporary truce. Besides, I'm surprised you'll actually show up for the ceremony."

" A student was attacked on school grounds. I'll bite the culprit to death."

" Huh?"

" I see... Everything adds up then. We get the gist of the situation. This ceremony is for the sole purpose to lure the culprit out." Kai said

" It's almost time. Let's go find the others and head inside. Kai-kun and Void, the both of you will be amongst the audience, so just keep a lookout and don't get into any fights."

" Okay."

Aichi nodded as he walked with Hibari back to Tsuna and the others as he noticed a group of teenagers around Tsuna's group's age walking away.

" Hibari-san!"

" I found him. So I walked back here with him." Aichi said as he looked back at the teenagers, " Who are they?"

" They're from the Shimon Family. Putting them aside, the ceremony is starting. Get ready." Reborn said

" Yeah!"

Aichi looked back at the backs of the Shimon Family as they walked away from sight before he continued following Tsuna and the others to the doors. Once the doors opened, they stepped into the hallway.

" Now, we shall commence the passing of the bottle, which is proof of the Vongola Boss since Primo's generation. It will be handed onto Vongola Decimo from Vongola Nono."

As Nono was about to hand Tsuna the box with the bottle, a screeching sound rang throughout the castle as everyone present covered their ears.

" Ugh!"

" My ears!"

Aichi managed to peek open an eye and found Kai as well as Void, the latter looking unaffected and unfazed by the sound as explosions started to blow up the castle.

" This is...!"

A defensive circle created by Nono's Guardians surrounded them as Tsuna went to check on him after the noise stopped.

" Ninth!"

Aichi ran over to Kai and Void while the smoke started to clear as Kai got over the remaining ringing noise resounding in his ears.

" Are you alright, Aichi?!"

" Yeah, what about you?"

" That screeching really hurt but other than that, I'm unharmed."

" Hmph. That wasn't enough to faze me. Other than that, your enemies seems to be right there." Void said

The two turned towards the smoke that was still remaining as Aichi's eyes widened upon seeing the figures.

" Shimon Family!"

" Who...?"

" I saw them for awhile earlier. I thought Tsuna-san and the others were close to them when I saw them talking to each other but I had the feeling that something just didn't feel right about them..."

" Your hunch was right. Those guys must be the culprit." Void said

" No way!"

As the leader of the Shimon Family announced to them that they were the attackers of Yamamoto, Tsuna and the others got ready to fight.

" The flames... I don't recognize them..." Aichi said

" Yeah... They don't belong to the Flames of the Sky."

" The enemy this time is as dangerous as I am. However, I can handle those guys if you want me to. We had a deal after all." Void said

" ... This fight is our fight. I'll join Tsuna-san and the others, so please stay safe here for now."

" ... Be careful, Aichi."

Aichi nodded as he ran back to Tsuna and the others.

" Time for you to have a glimpse of our powers." The woman said

She poured a little of the contents in the bottle too and transformed. The others did the same and transformed as well.

" It's coming!" Tsuna said

The explosion caused the surrounding area around them crumbling as Gokudera brought out his Sistema C.A.I into defensive stance.

" Haha. The Vongola flames are weak. Do you know why Primo eliminated us, Shimon, from the world? It is because our ancestors had a power that could rival Vongola's, and it scared him. A power neck and neck with the seven flames of the Sky. The seven flames of the Earth!"

" What?!"

" Because of this power, Shimon is brother to the Vongola family. And because of this flame, we were betrayed by Vongola. This flame exists to regain Shimon's pride!"

" You're wrong. I understand your hurtful past. But hurting people won't help regain your pride!" Tsuna exclaimed

" Stand back, Adelheid. I'll be fine alone. I can take down Tsuna-kun and his Guardians." The leader ordered

" Huh. If you say so." Ryohei said

" I'll like to see you try." Gokudera scoffed

The leader lifted up his hand and activated his flames. In an instant, Gokudera and Ryohei were suddenly floating and thrown to the walls. He did it again and this time, Aichi, Chrome and Hibari were sent crashing to the ceiling. The illusionary Yamamoto started to disappear.

" As we thought, Yamamoto Takeshi is just an illusion. Did you think we wouldn't see through it?" Adelheid ask

" Tsuna-kun, I almost believed you."

He moved his hand again as the five started floating again.

" What are you trying to do?!" Tsuna exclaimed

" But in the end..."

" Stop!"

The five were sent crashing into each other before dropping to the ground.

" Everyone!"

" Do you know why I haven't attacked you yet? I want you to feel the pain the first Shimon Boss was dealt by Primo."

" Enma!"

The five started to get back up again.

" We're not done yet, Kozato!"

" You think it'll be that easy?!" Gokudera exclaimed

" I'm ready."

He lifted his arms and they were immediately pushed back down by the force of gravity. The Vongola rings started to crack and break apart.

" No! The Vongola rings!"

" Everyone!" Tsuna exclaimed

He flew towards Enma.

" Stop!"

Enma blocked it with his arm as well. The two attacks collided as their rings started to react to each other.

" When we first met, I forgot to seal the ring. I was surprised too."

" Why, Enma?! Why would someone like you do such a thing?!" Tsuna exclaimed

" It's your own fault. I watched you. Until I met you, I thought that Vongola the Tenth was scary and hateful, but he turned out to be someone unexpected and a bit like me. So, I thought you would be different from the past Vongola Bosses... That we just might be able to understand one another. But you...!"

Tsuna was thrown back to the ceiling by Enma's powers.

" Tsuna!"

" How weak, Vongola. And this power is still incomplete." Adelheid said

" Incomplete?!"

" The Shimon ring and the blood of Shimon's first boss merge together in seven days. In other words, his power right now is only a seventh of what it will be after completion."

" This is only... A seventh?!" Tsuna exclaimed

" What's wrong? This is your only chance to defeat me. In one week, you won't even be able to lay a finger on me." Enma said

" Be quiet!"

Tsuna started to move a little but was pushed back again.

" Tsuna!" Dino exclaimed

" Vooii! Stop right there!"

" I can't just keep standing here and watching this happen!" Kai exclaimed

" Hey, stop right where you are, you idiot!" Darkface exclaimed

" Outsiders should not interfere." Adelheid said

Crystals rose from the ground and ceiling around them, stopping their movements. Kai looked around as he gritted his teeth in frustration.

" Aichi...!"

Void then sensed something as he stopped Kai from drawing his sword as Kai turned back to him in anger.

" Don't stop me!"

" ... This is getting more and more interesting." Void grinned

" What?! You're crazy! You're going to let Aichi get hurt like this?!"

" ... Hey, you idiot. Look carefully." Darkface said

Kai then turned back to Tsuna and the others, gasping when he saw the man in hat scooping the unconscious Chrome into his arms.

" Let's leave, Adelheid. It looks much too easy to kill them. If we killed them instantaneously, they won't taste the pain that Shimon has gone through."

" You're right. We can kill them anytime. What we need to show them is a living hell." Adelheid said

" I'll take you along too, Chrome. We have date plans~"

" Chrome!" Tsuna exclaimed

" You should worry more about yourself, Tsuna-kun."

Enma increased the gravitational force as Tsuna's own Vongola ring started to crack and finally broke apart. Tsuna fell to the ground.

" Tsuna!"

" Today is the start of Vongola's end, and the beginning of the new Shimon." Adelheid announced as they started to leave, " Let us leave to our holy home."

But before they could step through the entrance hole, a barrier of black rings blocked their path. Enma turned back to the group as Kai's eyes slowly widened when Aichi started standing up while gripping his right eye.

" It's not... over... Let her go..." Aichi panted

Through the gaps of his fingers, his bright red right eye with a red mark tracing under it and his left eye glowing with Psyqualia's power were visible.

" Reverse?!"
