Normal POV

Aichi staggered out of the hole created by Enma's gravity as he lifted his other hand, thankful that his other ring wasn't destroyed together with his Vongola Ring. A roar was heard as Kai froze. A unit slowly started to emerge from the black rings as his breath hitched upon seeing the unit.

" Nebula Lord..."

" Unit summoning. Looks like those on Cray still don't know about this." Void muttered

" What's this?!" Adelheid exclaimed

Enma activated his flames again as he pushed Nebula Lord back into the black rings. However, the dragon managed to push back a little as Aichi poured more of his powers into the summoning.

" I'm going to defeat you for now... And get back Chrome-san...!"

" Stop it, Aichi! If you continue that...!" Kai shouted

Enma then directed his flames towards Aichi as he was pushed down by his gravity powers again.

" Aichi!"

" Not yet...! I'm not... done yet..."

Suddenly, a shadow appeared behind him as the people present gasped in surprise.

" You are really stubborn. Do you want to die that badly?"

" That voice..." Aichi muttered

He glanced behind him as the spider figure emerged from the mist.

" Gredora... san..."

" Reckless and stubborn like the boy you are. But you will have to lose this time."

With a glint in her eyes, she directed it towards Nebula Lord as small sparks paralyzed the dragon as it was finally pushed back into the black rings as they shattered. Enma's flames had also stopped as his hand twitched.

" Do not worry. I just left you temporarily numbed in that hand. Leave this place. We will meet again soon. Once that happens, be prepared."

Enma looked back at his Family members and nodded as they left the castle. Gredora then looked towards the stunned members remaining in the castle.

" Quit staring and tend to them."

As soon as she said that, Aichi's legs gave out on him as be collapsed. The others ran to aid the other Vongola members as Kai picked Aichi up.

" Aichi!"

" Vongola Nono. We will borrow a room in this castle to tend to his wounds." Gredora said

" Y-Yes, please go ahead..."

Gredora then blinked and looked at herself before mist surrounded her again, turning herself into a petite form of a red haired woman with her signature outfit and hat.

" Looks like this form is the most comfortable to be in right now."

She signalled to Kai as he carried Aichi up and towards a room Gredora picked out as he laid Aichi on the bed, wiping off the blood dripping from his head.

" The collision was strong enough to crack a bit of his skull but other than that, he should not have any damage sustained to his brain."

" You were watching?" Kai ask

" Darkface relayed to me everything. I had to borrow the powers of different people in order to materialize here without using his body as a medium anymore."

She then glared at Void as he shrugged.

" Do not give me that. You broke our connection and because of you, he now has the same ability as Link Joker. That essence you fed him was the cause of this."

" But wasn't it removed by his sword's spirit serpents?!" Kai exclaimed

" It was, but it was not enough to absorb everything out. Now that he has activated it, it has now become part of his own power. If he does not learn to control it, he might go berserk."

" T-Then, him summoning Nebula Lord just now..."

" As you could tell, he was struggling to keep himself from destroying everything. We were lucky this time."

" ... Void! Remove that power from his body right now!"

" Why should I? It's exactly because of that power that he managed to survive and fight back. Shouldn't you be thankful to me instead?"

" Aichi's suffering right now because of it!"

" Kai. While I do not like it either, it is a fact that the power of Link Joker saved him this time. If he can learn to control it as if it was his own power, then he will not go berserk."

" But didn't you see it too?! That red eye and marking under his eye!"

" It is a good sign."

" How?!"

" That means he is trying his best to control it as his own. He has potential, you just have to believe in him."

" The Queen will never lie! She's the wisest Queen alive!" Darkface approved

" Besides, tending to his wounds are the most important right now. Treat him first, stop the bleeding then we will talk about this again."

Kai clicked his tongue as he continued to treat Aichi with disinfectants and bandages from a first aid kit. Gredora helped him by checking for any more wounds that Aichi had sustained before treating them as well. Void just watched them from the door, listening in on the loud commotion that was going on in the hall.

" The extra attack he took on broke some bones on his body. If he had just kept still and let them leave, the injuries would have been lesser."

" He's stubborn, like you said. I could never have been able to stop him..."

As Kai tied the last of the bandages around Aichi's injuries, Void opened the door as they turned to him.

" What are you doing?"

" You have guests."

Slowly, an old man with a blindfold around his eyes walked into the room as Gredora stood up while stopping Kai from leaving Aichi's side.

" Hoho. Real illusions, eh? That's a pretty advanced level of illusions I've seen."

" Who is this?" Gredora ask, looking over towards Nono's Guardian

" His name is Talbot, the oldest metal craftsman that has worked alongside Vongola."

" Talbot?"

" I am here right now to retrieve his ring of the beast. I have gained approval from both Vongola Ninth and Tenth to upgrade the Vongola rings. To do that, I will require the spirit of the beasts."

" Upgrade?! You mean, the Vongola rings can be salvaged from that destruction?!" Kai exclaimed

" Exactly what I said."

Kai was about to retort but then he felt something cold being put onto his hand as he looked back at Aichi to see that he had opened his eyes, inwardly relieved that his right eye had turned back to normal.

" Give Orion to him... We can trust him..."

" But..."

" I want to become stronger..."

Kai opened his mouth to speak again before thinking about it again and nodded to Aichi. He stood up with Aichi's animal ring in his hand.

" Hold."

They turned to look at Tablot again as he pointed towards Kai's black sword on his waist.

" Pass me that too, along with the white one."

" Our swords?!"

" I can hear their spirits. They are yearning to serve their masters to their fullest potential. I will gladly grant their wish if you, as their masters, allow me to."

Kai looked at his sword around his waist as he noticed a faint glow from it. He then looked down at Aichi and saw him nodding as he also grabbed Aichi's white sword. He then walked over to Talbot with the items in hand, putting them on his outstretched hands.

" Hoho. Please wait for the good news."

Void then lightly kicked the door close once Talbot left as Kai went back to Aichi again.

" You really are an idiot. How are you feeling?"

" Some sores here and there... My head is spinning a little too..."

" Those 'sores' were the results of you trying to fight something you cannot fight. Some of your bones are broken, no major snaps but they are still broken. One wrong move will put you in a cast." Gredora said

" I see... By the way, it's the first time I'm seeing that form of yours, Gredora-san..."

" This is a copy of the image of my previous host. I'm borrowing quite a bit of powers to remain here until I know that you are ready to face the enemy again. Listen, do not ever use Link Joker's power so recklessly again."

" I'm sorry... But when I thought about how powerless I was back there, I couldn't help but hear the voice of Link Joker begging me to release it so that I could use its power... I knew something was still remaining when Void fed me his essence, but never did I expect to depend on it, even for a bit..."

" And once you have felt that, you will grow stronger for sure."

Aichi nodded as Kai carefully held his hand so that he wouldn't accidentally hurt Aichi.

" Don't make me worry like that again."

" I won't..."

Kai nodded. He soon noticed a familiar red black aura leaking out of Aichi's other ring as it crawled up to his own ring and entered it. His Vanguard Circle on the red turned blood red for a second before turning back to the lighter shade.

" I've just extracted some of the aura out of him and imbedded them into you. Now you can keep his power in check. You won't have to worry about him using too much and going berserk." Void said

" And you think I'll do better?"

" I'm sure you will. You wielded that power before."

Kai gave a slight glare towards Void before looking at his ring again. An hour later, the doors opened again after Void pulled them open as a rock was handed to Gredora by an unfamiliar man.

" This is?"

" The Vongola ring, apparently. Old Talbot-sama said that in order to awaken the souls slumbering in the ring, you must be resolved and put in everything you have into it. Your resolution will determine whether the ring and your animal ring will live."

" ... Aichi."

" I'm ready... Bring it over..."

Kai helped Aichi to sit up as Gredora placed the rock onto his hands.

" Orion..."

He closed his eyes as he concentrated his flames into the rock. The rock slowly started to glow an indigo colour as Kai stood up from the bed when the combustion of flames concentrated into the rock slowly increased.

" You can do it, Aichi!" Kai thought

As the combustion became larger and larger, the rock started cracking as it soon broke into a bright light. Once they opened their eyes again, they were shocked to see what the ring had become... The Brooch of the Mist Version X!

" This is..."

" You did it...?"

" But this isn't a ring..." Aichi said

" The rings are no more. This must be the Vongola Gear." Gredora said

" Vongola Gear?"

" As far as I know, this is a sign of success. The Vongola Rings have now taken shape to whichever form best suits your abilities. This is an exclusive series for the Tenth Generation Vongola Family."

" But the future didn't have this thing..." Kai said

" The future will keep changing as long as you guys are also doing something to change the future. Anyway, that is pretty strong so use it wisely."

" Okay..."

Aichi looked the brooch in his shirt as a glint shone on the owl shape on the brooch.

" I'm glad you're okay, Orion..."

Kai soon noticed the unknown people standing by the doorway as he raised an eyebrow at Void while he shrugged.

" You guys weren't part of the people in the crowd today. Did you come with that Talbot guy?" Kai ask

" ... Have we met somewhere before?"

" Impossible, I can remember most of the people we've met and know about, but those two are definitely not in my memories."

" But they feel... familiar... Don't you think so?"

" Do they?"

Kai looked back at the two figures as he pondered about Aichi's words. He then remembered something extremely important.

" Now that I think about it... You got your Vongola ring back but where did our swords go?"

" ... Oh! Let's go ask that Talbot person...!"

Aichi pulled off his blanket and quickly got up, only to wince from his injuries and fell to his knees.

" Aichi!"

" I warned you to not push yourself." Gredora sighed

" But the swords...!"

" Master!"

One of the guys at the doorway had ran towards Aichi and kneeled down to check on him as Kai kept him away.

" Hey, hey! What are you doing?!"

" But Master is...!"

" Master?" Kai repeated as he looked at Aichi before turning back to the guy in front of them, " What are you talking about?"

" Hoho, weren't you looking for your swords?"

They turned to the doorway to see Talbot as Kai helped Aichi up to sit on the bed.

" We are... Where are they?"

" Aren't you looking at them right now?"

" Huh?"

Void glanced over to the other guy that was still by the doorway as he managed a small glare, but seeing Void's dark glare, he immediately scampered to Kai's side.

" Help me, Master!"

" Hey, let go! Who even are you?!"

" They were calling out to you, weren't they?" Talbot ask

At that, the room went silent as Aichi and Kai stared at the two new occupants in the room with their eye slowling widening.

" ... You two finally figured it out?" Gredora ask

" HUH?!"

Tsuna and the others ran into the room after hearing the ruckus while Aichi and Kai continued to process the information after their exclamation.

" What happened?!"

" T-Then you're the white sword?!" Aichi exclaimed

" Yes, do you recognize me now?"

" H-Huh?!"

" Their spirits were so determined and they wanted a way to help out their masters. So for this, I managed to give them a physical body so that they can be of better use for you two."

" I-I see..."

" Don't worry, they'll still be of great use to the both of you, so just think of them as comrades."

" Okay..."

" Weapons do not normally have wills of their own so quickly. It is something that should have been built up over years. Maybe these two are almost ready..." Gredora thought

They were then called in for a meeting after someone found out the location of where the Shimon Family had went to.

" We've searched through the old manuscripts and books within the library of the Italian Vongola Base. All data on the Shimon Family was discarded after a certain period of time."

" That means..." Gokudera exclaimed

" Just as the Shimon Family said, Vongola must have tried to erase everything relted to Shimon within the Family."

" How did you find Shimon's base?" Reborn ask

" Private letters from Shimon to Primo were discovered. However, they were written before either Family was created, and stashed in a separate room, which is probably why they were safe. The Shimon Boss told of his plans to move abroad in his letters. In one of his letters, he described having been washed by strong currents and reaching an uninhabited island. He told of how he had taken a liking to that island, and wished to create a family on that holy land."

" Holy island?! Adelheid once mentioned that before..."

" I see, an uninhabited island... Not bad for a base."

" Where is it?" Nono ask

" The Pacific Ocean. Though compasses don't work due to the strong magnetic field, Shimon approximated the latitude and longitude. It should be around here."

As he pointed out something on the map, they soon realised that it isn't far from Japan.

" There's not a second to lose! We only have seven days until Shimon completes the awakening of the ring! Vongola must become more powerful and fight Shimon! Gather up all your strength and weapons!" Nono ordered

" Um... Please, Ninth."

" What is it?"

" Please, let me be the only one to fight." Tsuna said

" What?!"

" I can't... explain it well, but... This is not a battle between Vongola and Shimon! Yamamoto and Chrome aren't mafia family to me. They're friends. I want to fight for my friends!"

" Then let us fight alongside you!" Gokudera said

" Yeah! We have a right to go to the extreme! Because we're friends!"

" Please let me join in too, Tsuna-san. We'll fight together and save our friend."

" You guys...! ... And... I have a feeling that Enma is a lot like me. It's not that he wants to kill a lot of people. I think the one he really wants to take down, is me."

" Impossible! We cannot just let you fight alone!"

" Sawada, wake up already! This is a war amongst mafia!"

" No! The ones waiting for me are my friends!"

" Silence!"

At his command, the whole room fell silent as Nono continued.

" The Inheritance Ceremony was cancelled, which means that the power still belongs to the Ninth. You must all abide by my orders!"

" Yes!"

" I hereby entrust the task of subduing Shimon, to Vongola Decimo and his Guardians."

" You old man!" Squalo exclaimed

" Yes!"

" However, Reborn must go with you. Reborn, I forbid you to attack Shimon in any way."

" He's not going to fight but he's still coming along? Then why is he...?"

" That will be all. Ganache! Prepare a ship! Now go!"

" Yes!"

The meeting was adjourned as they were released to return to their homes ro prepare themselves. Kai helped Aichi back to the room in the castle as the four inside looked at them as Kai explained the situation.

" And you think you are ready?" Gredora ask

" Even if I'm not, I still have to try my best. Besides, I won't be alone."

" That's right! I'll follow you to the end of the world if I have to, Master!"

" R-Right..."

" I'll be going too so that I can watch over him."

" I see. I guess my time here is almost up too. I will be expecting good news from Darkface soon. Also, these are for you two."

Gredora pulled out two blank cards from her pocket and handed one each to Aichi and Kai.

" Depend cards. These will respond to your resolve for the future. Remember the Stride Force? I think you two will do fine now, so go defeat Shimon and return alive."

" ... Yes!"

Gredora nodded as her body started to disappear.

" Do not disappoint me."

Aichi and Kai nodded as Gredora fully disappeared. The others left in the room then decided to leave the castle and back to Kai's apartment as they started to change out of their suits to a more comfortable wear.

" I don't plan on allowing you to come along with us, Void." Kai said

" I'll follow your rules, so I'll definitely be going with you guys."

" You can't just stay still, huh?"

" I don't have much to do right now anyway. I can't even grasp what is the bare minimum that I'm supposed to do in this world yet."

Kai sighed deeply.

" Fine..."

He then looked over to their 'swords' as his brows furrowed.

" This apartment won't be able to fit all of us..."

" It's fine! We can turn back to our sword forms as many times as we want to! Don't worry about that occupying your space!"

" I guess that'll work."

" By the way, what are your names?" Aichi ask

" Names? We don't have any. We can just go by the 'white sword' and 'black sword'."

" That won't do..."

Aichi looked at the 'white sword' as he scanned his figure. His white hair and red ruby eyes to his simplistic white outfit of a suit.

" How about Rihito?"

" Yes! If that's what you desire then I'll accept that name, Master!"

" No need to call me that all the time..."

Aichi then looked over to Kai as he elbowed him a little and gestured to his 'black sword'. Black hair with brown eyes, suited up with an overall black outfit.

" Hyouka."

" That..."

" Your name."

" ... Y-Yes! I'm honored, Master!"

The two sweat dropped at their different reactions as Kai sighed again.

" Anyway, we're wearing a more comfortable and less tattered clothes now. Let's head to the pier."

" Right."

" Will you really alright with those injuries?"

" I'll be alright. Little bit of broken bones won't bring me down."

" Don't overexert yourself."

" I won't."

With everything they needed prepared, they headed out of the apartment in preparation of the upcoming battle.
