While returning back to bureau,
Daya: kaha tha maine bawaal hoga.
Abhi: arey par kyu? Maine kiya kya?
Daya: Niyati se baat (chuckling)
Abhi: toh? Arey wo toh bas colleague hai...
Daya: ye Tarika ko thodi na pata hai.
Abhi: toh kya karu usko bolu jaake... awkward nhi hoga?
Daya : bilkul hogi. She will say ki maine poocha thodi.
Abhi: (slaps his forehead) toh kaise bolu?
Daya: bolo mat show karo.
Abhi: kaise kya?
Daya: jab ek kaam doosre se zyada important hota toh kya karte ho?
Abhi: important wale kaam pe focus karenge
Daya: ji! Toh jab niyati sirf colleague hai aur tarika dost (mumbling) ya dost se zyada ahem toh tarika ke saamne niyati se baat mat karo na aur na hi niyati ke baare me baat karo.
Abhi: itna complicated kyu hai yaar
Daya: complicated toh case bhi hota hai. Tumse solve ho jata hai na... experience bas...
Abhi: haan haan ye sab maamle me toh tu Tom Cruise hai.
Daya (winks). Acha suno mai site pe ja raha aage investigate karne. Tum yahan dekho baaki kaam.
Daya headed out with a part of the team.
Abhi sat on his desk. (Thinking)
Par... Tarika ko itna bura kyu laga. Maine toh kuch waise baat bhi nahi ki... ek second agar karta bhi toh usko fark kyu pada? Matlab usko fark padta hai... Kya wo bhi mujhe pasand...? Case ke perspective se sochta hoon. Jaise khud ko criminal ke jagah rakh ke sochna padta hai. Ok so Mai agar Tarika ke jagah hota toh kya mujhe fark padta ?
Sachin: kya hua Sir aap pareshaan lag rahe hain ?
Abhi: Haan bas kuch sawaal aise hi...
Sachin: kaisa sawaal?
Abhi: (lost) Bas soch raha tha kisi incident ke baare me ki mujhe fark padta hai ya nahi.
Sachin: (confused) Ab aap soch rahe hain itne der toh matlab fark padta hi hoga...
Sachin shrugged it off and went back to check some records regarding the case. Abhijeet sat upright, it was a light bulb moment for him.
Abhi: (thinking) exactly. Agar mai itni der se baith ke ye soch raha hu ki Tarika naraz kyu hui, usko kaise manaye, uski feelings hurt hui, matlab... mujhe fark padta hai ? Have I started liking her more than I intended to?
He sat with his thoughts unable to clearly reach a conclusion, but after all matters of the heart are not so logical and clear right. And then he picked up the marker and started writing all the details if the case, suspected people, clues found, on the whiteboard.

Daya: Abhi. Khana garam kar dena, mai bas pahuch hi raha hu.
Abhi: khana? Bureau me kya khana?
Daya: tum bureau me hi ho? Ghar nahi gaye abhi tak?
Abhi: nahi wo case leke hi kuch kuch link karne ki koshish kar raha tha. I think I have a few assumptions on what would have happened.
Daya: hmm, yahan site pe bhi logon se baat karke kuch ideas aa rahe hain. Ghar pe milo, mai bhi pahuch raha hu. Dinner pe discuss karte hain.
Abhi: ok ok.
Daya: acha haan suno. Tarika ko bhi drop kar dena ghar.
Abhi: tarika? Drop? Kya bol rahe ho.
Daya: Wo bhi ghar nahi gayi. Bureau me hi hai. Aur bahar bahut zor barish ho rahi hai, itni raat me barish me kahan wait karegi cab ka. Tum chor aao ghar.
Abhi: Wo abhi tak lab me h? Tumko kaise pata ?
Daya: Tasha aur Vivek hai na mere saath. Tasha ne call kiya tha toh wo boli ki kuch samples mile hai toh bhijwa do abhi lab me hi hu.
Abhi: kaafi der ho gayi, itni raat tak...
Daya: (smirking) Tum bhi toh baithe ho. Ek hi jaise ho dono, baat karke sort out thodi karna hai. Emotions suppress karne extra workload Lena hai haina. Perfect match!
Abhijeet caught himself smiling on Daya's comment "perfect match"
Abhi: Haan haan thik h thik h. Tu gyaan mat de zyada love guru. Ghar pahuch mai dekhta hu idhar.
