ANNABETH'S POV

-I think seaweed brain hates me!-

-I mean let me recall what happened, like he has all the right to be mad at me, but still ahggg! -

-The way everything turn out this past year was just crazy. I just don't know what to do or think and the squads relationship is now like the hunger games.-

(ONE YEAR BEFORE)

That afternoon was colder that those that came before. Percy stood quiet near the window lost in the seemingly alive portrait that had formed in the window, as a crazy thought just pop out right into his head. Inside the small countryside house there were him, Jason, Piper, Rachel, Reyna, Leo, Thalia (Yeah that was also a surprised me), Calypso, Nico, Clarisse, Will, Hazel, Chris and well me, Annabeth.

I had been talking to Rachel a little while I also kept looking at Percy sometimes, for a while he just dwell in his thoughts, which was not unusual for him, but still I couldn't restrain myself for giving out a little giggle once in a while to Rachel's amusement. But how could I help myself from being so madly in love with Percy, I mean he is just straight awesome, sometimes annoying true, but always caring and loyal letting you know that he is going to be there for you when you need him.

As he laid in his trance-like state I couldn't help myself not to notice the way he bit slightly his bottom lip, the way his dark messy hair was waved by the subtle air current that flowed through the windows opening, his gorgeous sea green eyes stared unmovable at the window and his pupils were dilated. I could keep myself mesmerized in his gaze all day, if Rachel hadn't pulled me out of my stare with a wave in front of my face, leaving me to realize that I had probably stared at Percy more than just a few seconds, ups.

-You ok Ann? Was just telling you about that drawing you asked me to do for your little secret project. - Rachel said.

-Yeah sure Rae, its nothing at all. - Although that wasn't true of course and I swear that I blushed a little when I realized what just happened.

-Yeah sure it was nothing you loving bird- She said with a soft voice then letting out a giggle I'm sure she had been restraining for a bit.

-I mean I can't blame you, after all he is quite the guy, that I must admit- She continued –You know, I think he and I never really talked about our feelings back then. I still can't believe that even if you look into his eyes and spit out obvious clues, he still manages to find a way to be oblivious at it, it is so frustrating. - She finished stating.

- Jajaja, yeah, I understand you perfectly with that. Took him four years to realize what I wanted with him and still, at the end, I had to push him just a little bit for him to confess.- I replied

-But wait a minute, aren't you the oracle? Like aren't you supposed not to have feelings about anyone and all that stuff- I asked her with quite an amused tone, though it actually came out more as a "suggestive" question.

To my dismay she flushed just a little making her cheeks turn a little pink and she proceeded to take her hair with her fingers and start playing with it a little, as her gaze turned to the face the floor and her voice got a little trembly.

-Emm no Annabeth, of course I can't. Though in first place is not really that I can't have feelings, I have, even if everyone just likes to believe the opposite. – Now, I started to feel a little guilty

-I mean I do still have feelings, some I yet don't understand so I have to bury them and drag them, for all I can do is feel but I can't let myself go for the feelings. - That she said with tears forming in her eyes

How could I be so rude to her, I mean yeah sure she had a crush and maybe even feelings for my Percy back then, it was because of that that I was jealous of her, but now she feels lonely because everyone around her, her friends, all are inside relationships and sometimes, well most times, actually leave her aside and kinda forget that even though she is the Oracle of Delphi, she is still mortal and a girl, just like any other.

So there I was bringing up a topic that surely was also painful to her. Certainly Percy had told me about the kiss she gave him before he went off to save the world, again, then the next time they talked they technically had ended any relationship growing between them. I was not a fool though, I knew Rae had done that just because it felt like she had to, she really wanted to become the Oracle and knew she had to leave Percy in order to become so and she also knew how I felt about him and how he felt about me, so she just took a step aside, left her feelings buried inside and simply lied about her not having meaningful feelings for Seaweed Brain.

-I … I… I'm sorry Rachel, I… I didn't mean to offend you, nor to blame you. It is obvious for me that you liked Percy too, that's why I was such a jerk to you. I didn't hate you but I also couldn't like you because of how you felt for him, not for who you were. - I finished saying.

I watched her clean her eyes with the sleeve of her blue and white hoodie, which made her green eyes highlight a ton more. Then she leant closer to me and hugged me tightly while whispering in my ear "Thanks Annabeth, seriously. I needed that". It was kinda cute, though our little moment and probably everyone's doings, were cut abruptly by Percy.

PERCY'S POV

After a while of looking at the snow building outside one of Rachel's family winter houses on top of the courtyard, which we had decided to come in winter for a weekend to distract ourselves a little from our rushed life, I finally had an idea to enjoy more the small vacation we had.

I suddenly stood and shouted "I've got it", while everyone stopped what they were doing and gave me a stunned look, then Jason said "Wow Bro, wait. What you got?"

So I began explaining.

-So everyone here agrees that this is not going as planned, right? - I asked everyone and they answer with a nod, but their faces told me they didn't understand where I was heading with all this.

Then I decided not to waste my time explaining since usually, let's just say I'm not the kind of guy you ask to explain something you don't understand, it is not that I don't try, it's just that it's a little difficult to find the words jaja.

-Everyone put on some winter clothes and meet me outside in five minutes, then you'll understand what I'm talking about. –

You see, I've never been much the make sure everything is fully ready before acting, more like act while preparing everything kind of stuff. Since we demigods have ADHD you can guess we are not the peaceful minded and quiet guys of the class, rather the hyperactive ones.

I ran through the room up to the coat rack near the door and grab my winter clothes then stormed out of the house, running to the courtyard while everyone inside was still, they just hadn't had enough time to process what just happened yet. Still all of them came back to their minds and went to their rooms to change clothes.

Sometime later they finally came out and found me with some snowboards I "rented", let's just say there was a little bit of the mist involved in that, and a different landscape than the one that had been there just a few minutes before. You see, I'm Perseus Jackson, for those of you who might not know me yet, I'm the son of Poseidon and yes I know "The gods are real! Like the Greek gods!"

Let me say this briefly: The Greek "myths" aren't actually myths, though you better not be caught by a god saying that or you'll end up a piece of ash in the floor, anyway all of it is real. The gods move with western civilization, where the centre of power of the western world is, there you'll find the gods, which as you can guess is now in the United States. So when I was eleven I discovered all this up in a not so pleasant way and since then I've pretty much saved the world a couple of times, rejected godhood twice, been part of two major prophecies and made a bunch of friends. Though if you are actually reading this then you probably already know all this.

To recap, all this means for me is that I have some cool water control abilities and that is why I was able to remake the snowy courtyard into a "snow-park", just much smaller.

When everyone was out, I couldn't help but smile as they were all with their mouths wide open, seriously you save the world twice and they take it as granted, but when you use your supposedly "expected" powers they just look as if they didn't know who I was. Then it all just developed, Leo and Calypso were building a snowman, Clarisse, Nico, Chris and Will were in the middle of an intense snowball fight while Reyna, Jason and Piper were drinking hot chocolate in a bench.

I was in the small mountain I had made sliding in a sleigh when I landed just in front three girls chatting a bit. Accidentally I covered them with a little snow while coming to a stop, so naturally they all grabbed some snow, made some snowballs and threw them at me. Thalia and Rachel stopped while Annabeth was giving me a stern look with her eyes rolling then I stood up and hug her from behind, while grabbing her waist with my arms, then proceeded to kiss her on the neck and said with a flirty and warm voice "Hey Wise Girl, what are you girls talking about"

RACHEL'S POV

We were talking about everyday life, about our families and about the vacation with Ann and Thals when suddenly we received a not so pleasant stream of snow right to our faces and clothes. When we looked to the face from the guilty, we found an ashamed Percy laying in a sleigh, so we did what we were supposed to do in that kind of situation, we threw a bunch of snowballs at him until we thought that it was enough and resumed our small conversation.

Then Percy came from behind Annabeth, enclosed her in a warm hug and made Thals and I exchange our rolling eyes. I have to admit they looked cute, I mean specially Percy, with the snow covering his clothes his tanned face stood out from the background while those deep sea green eyes just… wait what, no no no, I must not think like that he is with Annabeth and I can't have feelings towards anyone anymore, so Rachel Elizabeth Dare suck it down your throat and just relax.

-So what's with you Kelp Head? - Thalia said with a mockery to her voice –You shower us with snow and then you just pop up in the middle of a girl's conversation, had you in better regard. – With obviously a teasing attitude to her comment.

-Jaja Pinecone Face, that was so funny. - He replied with some dismay in his voice

-No but really, what do you want Perce? – I said trying to sound annoyed to convince myself a little to forget of his memory inside me.

-Not much Rae, just chilling out in a sleigh. You girls wanna try? It's quite fun actually. - He said invitingly.

We look between us and decided to give it a try. Climbing up the small man-made mountain was the trickiest part actually, so Percy decided to help us all get to the top. He gave each one of us his hand and helped us to the top one by one. Once there Thalia decided to go first so Percy helped her get ready on the Sleigh and before he pushed her he said "Be careful alright Thals, just hold tightly to the sleigh, this probably won't kill you, nor hurt you but it would be still quite hilarious to see the daughter of Zeus and Artemis' Lieutenant rolling down a slope". Thalia just rolled her eyes like for the hundredth time in the day and Percy gave her a little push, then she was on her way down.

When it was my turn, both Thalia and Annabeth were on the bottom of the slope waiting for us when the first of a series of incidents to come happened. I took a wrong step and lost my balance while Percy tried to hold me and we both went downhill rolling while Percy held me in a tight embrace so that none of us got hurt. When everyone saw what happened they started laughing and all ran towards us.

When we finally came to a stop, I was on top of Percy while he was hugging me tightly towards his chest and then he loosen the grip, now I was able to raise my head a little so that we were looking at each other. If someone didn't knew us they would have thought that we were a couple about to kiss and that thought was what made it awkward, he looked at me with those beautiful eyes while he kept his gaze on mine, though I could see from his look that he was worried but, unlike with Annabeth, his eyes didn't catch that little shine. We stayed there for some seconds until we flushed and then Annabeth came to our side breaking the moment.

Percy sat down and help me stand up, then both Ann and I helped him too. Thals came next with the rest of the squad while she laughed without control, some tears rolling down her cheek due to the intense laughing and said "What were you saying Jackson?". Percy rubbed his head a little bit signalling his shame.

-Next time you plan an activity, let me handle the details, I'm the one who keeps you out of trouble you cute idiot" Annabeth said while pulling a wick of hair from his face and kissing him.

I don't know why but I flushed and turned to look around, but to my regret, Annabeth caught me and I could see in her eyes that she was starting to consider something I wished had stayed in the past, buried deep inside.
